Optimal Design of Passenger Airbag Door System Considering the Tearseam Failure Strength (티어심 파손 강도를 고려한 동승석 에어백 도어시스템의 최적 설계)

  • Invisible passenger airbag door system of hard panel types must be designed with a weakened area such that the side airbag will deploy through the instrument panel as like intended manner, with no flying debris at any required operating temperature. At the same time, there must be no cracking or sharp edges in the head impact test. If the advanced airbag with the big difference between high and low deployment pressure ranges are applied to hard panel types of invisible passenger airbag (IPAB) door system, it becomes more difficult to optimize the tearseam strength for satisfying deployment and head impact performance simultaneously. It was introduced the 'Operating Window' idea from quality engineering to design the hard panel types of IPAB door system applied to the advanced airbag for optimal deployment and head impact performance. Zigzab airbag folding and 'n' type PAB mounting bracket were selected.

Sensor System for Autonomous Mobile Robot Capable of Floor-to-floor Self-navigation by Taking On/off an Elevator (엘리베이터를 통한 층간 이동이 가능한 실내 자율주행 로봇용 센서 시스템)

  • This study presents sensor system for autonomous mobile robot capable of floor-to-floor self-navigation. The robot was modified using the Turtlebot3 hardware platform and ROS2 (robot operating system 2). The robot utilized the Navigation2 package to estimate and calibrate the moving path acquiring a map with SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping). For elevator boarding, ultrasonic sensor data and threshold distance are compared to determine whether the elevator door is open. The current floor information of the elevator is determined using image processing results of the ceiling-fixed camera capturing the elevator LCD (liquid crystal display)/LED (light emitting diode). To realize seamless communication at any spot in the building, the LoRa (long-range) communication module was installed on the self-navigating autonomous mobile robot to support the robot in deciding if the elevator door is open, when to get off the elevator, and how to reach at the destination.

LPS Stimulated B Lymphocytes Inhibit the Differentiation of Th1 Lymphocytes (LPS에 의해 자극된 B 림프구에 의한 Th1 림프구 분화 억제)

  • The lymphocyte component of the immune system is divided into B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produce antibodies (humoral immunity) via maturation into plasma cells, and T lymphocytes kill other cells or organisms (cellular immunity). A traditional immunological paradigm is that B lymphocyte and T lymphocyte interactions are a one-way phenomenon, with T lymphocytes helping to induce the terminal differentiation of B lymphocytes into immunoglobulin class-switched plasma cells. A deficiency of T lymphocytes was reported to result in defective B lymphocyte function. However, evidence for a reciprocal interaction between B and T lymphocytes is emerging, with B lymphocytes influencing the differentiation and effector function of T lymphocytes. For example, B lymphocytes have been shown to induce direct tolerance of antigen-specific CD8+ T lymphocytes and induce T lymphocytes anergy via transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) production. The present study showed that LPS-stimulated B lymphocytes inhibited the differentiation of Th1 lymphocytes by inhibiting the production of interleukin-12 (IL-12) from dendritic cells. An interaction between the B lymphocytes and dendritic cells was not needed for this inhibition, and the B lymphocytes did not alter dendritic cell maturation. B lymphocyte-derived soluble factor (BDSF) suppressed the LPS-induced IL-12p35 transcription in the dendritic cells. Overall, these results point to a novel B lymphocyte- mediated immune suppressive mechanism. The findings cast doubt on the traditional paradigm of immunological interactions involving B lymphocyte and T lymphocyte interactions.

  • The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) in the eukaryotic cells is the first compartment in the secretory pathway. Almost secretory proteins and membrane proteins are secreted through the ER, in which post-translational modifications occur via diverse signals from the ER lumen to the cytoplasm and nucleus. Only then are correctly-folded proteins secreted to the outside cells. Unfolded proteins that accumulate in the ER cause a kind of intracellular stress, ER stress, and activate an unfolded protein response (UPR) system. The 3 major transducers of the UPR are inositol requiring 1 (IRE1), PKR-like ER kinase (PERK) and activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6), all of which are ER transmembrane proteins. Recently, novel types of a new ATF6 family have been identified. Those commonly have an ER-transmembrane domain, a transcription-activation domain and a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain―Luman, OASIS, BBF2H7, CREBH and CREB4. Each factor functions by regulating the UPR in specific organs and tissues. Although the detailed molecular mechanisms of OASIS family members are unknown, in this study we comprehensively introduce these molecular signals.

Modulation of antioxidant defense system in the brackish water flea Diaphanosoma celebensis exposed to bisphenol A (비스페놀 A에 대한 기수산 물벼룩의 항산화 시스템의 변화)

  • Bisphenol A (BPA), a representative endocrine disrupting chemicals, has adverse effects on growth, development and reproduction in aquatic organisms. The object of this study was to investigate the modulation of antioxidant enzyme-coding genes using quantitative real time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR), enzyme activity and total protein content, to understand oxidative stress responses after exposure to BPA for 48 h in brackish water flea Diaphanosoma celebensis. The BPA ($3mg\;L^{-1}$) significantly upregulated the expression of Cu/Zn-SOD, Mn-SOD, and catalase (CAT) mRNA. Three GST isoforms (GST-kappa, GST-mu, and GST-theta) mRNA levels significantly increased at the rate of $0.12mg\;L^{-1}$ of BPA. In particular, GST-mu showed the highest expression level, indicating its key role in antioxidant response to BPA. SOD activity was induced with a concentration-dependent manner, and total protein contents was reduced. These findings indicate that BPA can induce oxidative stress in this species, and these antioxidants may be involved in cellular protection against BPA exposure. This study will provide a better understanding of molecular mode of action of BPA toxicity in aquatic organisms.

Factors Influencing the Safety Consciousness and Health status of the Young-old and Old-old elderly on Injury Occurrence Analysis (전기-후기노인의 안전의식 및 건강요인이 손상 및 손상기전에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of the Injury based on the 7th National Data on the National Health and Nutrition Survey, identify the relationship between general characteristics, safety awareness, health status, injury, and identify the factors that affect the occurrence of injury. The subjects were selected for the final analysis of 1,608data. For the analysis, frequency analysis, cross analysis, and multiple logistic regression analysis were performed. the results of the study show that in the young-old elderly, gender(woman), marital status(separated of divorced), lower the awareness of safety, body discomfort, sickness, and in-outpatient, Annual unmet medical service experienced are higher the occurrence of injury. Therefore, as a prevention education that lowers the incidence of injury. selective education is required for the Young-old and Old-old elderly, and legal penalties for drunk driving on various means of transportation and an integrated approach to strengthening and education is required.

Analysis of a Compound-Target Network of Oryeong-san (오령산 구성성분-타겟 네트워크 분석)

  • Oryeong-san is a prescription widely used for diseases where water is stagnant because it has the effect of circulating the water in the body and releasing it into the urine. In order to investigate the mechanisms of oryeong-san, we in this paper construct and analysis the compound-target network of medicinal materials constituting oryeong-san based on a systems pharmacology approach. First, the targets related to the 475 chemical compounds of oryeong-san were searched in the STITCH database, and the search results for the interactions between compounds and targets were downloaded as XML files. The compound-target network of oryeong-san is visualized and explored using Gephi 0.8.2, which is an open-source software for graphs and networks. In the network, nodes are compounds and targets, and edges are interactions between the nodes. The edge is weighted according to the reliability of the interaction. In order to analysis the compound-target network, it is clustered using MCL algorithm, which is able to cluster the weighted network. A total of 130 clusters were created, and the number of nodes in the cluster with the largest number of nodes was 32. In the clustered network, it was revealed that the active compounds of medicinal materials were associated with the targets for regulating the blood pressure in the kidney. In the future, we will clarify the mechanisms of oryeong-san by linking the information on disease databases and the network of this research.

  • 검사점 및 복구 도구(Checkpointing & Recovery Facility)를 이용하여 임베디드 시스템에서 결함 허용(Fault Tolerance) 기법을 적용할 경우 쓰기 작업의 오버헤드로 인해 실용성이 크게 떨어지게 된다. 실시간 운영체제와 함께 어떠한 한계 상황에서 결함 허용 및 복구 도구가 오히려 시스템의 성능을 저하시키는 요인으로 작용하게 되면 이는 결국 쓸모없는 도구가 되어 사용되지 않을 것이다. 따라서 프로세스의 복구를 위해 저장하는 프로세스 이미지의 기록에 소요되는 시간을 크게 낮추어야만 비로소 검사점 도구가 그 진가를 발휘하게 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 NVSRAM(Non Volatile SRAM)을 검사점 및 복구 도구의 저장 장치로 활용함으로써 기존의 검사점 도구에서 성능을 저하시키는 주원인이었던 검사점 기록의 오버헤드를 개선하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 검사점 기록 시간을 줄이기 위한 방법으로 주 메모리에 저장된 프로세스의 복구와 관련된 데이터를 SRAM 특성을 갖는 비휘발성 저장 장치인 NVSRAM에 저장하여 디스크 접근에 소요되는 시간을 최소화시킴으로써 임베디드 시스템에서 실용적으로 사용 가능한 검사점 도구를 구현하였고, 이러한 연구의 결과를 검증하기 위해 기존 시스템에서 저장 장치로 사용되던 플래시 메모리, 주 메모리, 원격 메모리를 사용하는 경우의 성능과 NVSRAM을 활용할 때의 성능을 비교해 보았다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 결함 허용 도구는 실제 시스템에 적용하여 효과적인 성능을 발휘할 수 있을 것이며, 차세대 메모리를 이용한 결함 허용 도구의 연구에 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.ate첨가배지(添加培地)에서 가장 저조(低調)하였다. vitamin중(中)에서는 niacin과 thiamine첨가배지(添加培地)에서 근소(僅少)한 증가(增加)를 나타내었다.소시켜 항이뇨 및 Na 배설 감소를 초래하는 작용과, 둘째는 신경 경로를 통하지 않고, 아마도 humoral factor를 통하여 신세뇨관에서 Na 재흡수를 억제하는 작용이 복합적으로 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.으로 초래되는 복합적인 기전으로 추정되었다., 소형과와 기형과는 S-3에서 많이 나왔다. 이상 연구결과에서 입도분포가 1.2-5mm인 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났다.omopolysaccharides로 확인되었다. Heat shock protein-70 (HSP70)과 neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS)에 대한 면역조직화학검사에서 실험군 Cs2군의 신경세포가 대조군 12군에 비해 HSP70과 nNOS의 과발현을 보였으며, 이는 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). nNOS와 HSP70의 발현은 강한 연관성을 보였고(상관계수 0.91, p=0.000), nNOS를 발현하는 세포가 동시에 HSP70도 발현함을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론: 우리는 cyclosporin A가 토끼의 25분간의 척수허혈에 대해 척수보호 효과가 있었으며 이는 HSP70의

  • The thioredoxin reductase (TrxR) system is essential for cell survival and function by playing a pivotal role in maintaining homeostasis of cellular redox and regulating signal transduction pathways. The TrxR system comprises thioredoxin (Trx), TrxR, and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. Trx reduced by the catalytic reaction of the TrxR enzyme reduces downstream proteins, resulting in protection against oxidative stress and regulation of cell differentiation, growth, and death. Cancer cells survive by improving their intracellular antioxidant capacity to eliminate excessively generated reactive oxygen species (ROS) due to infinite cell proliferation and a high metabolic rate. Therefore, cancer cells have high dependence and sensitivity to antioxidant systems, suggesting that focusing on TrxR, a representative antioxidant system, is a potential strategy for cancer therapy. Several studies have revealed that TrxR is expressed at high levels in various types of cancers, and research on anticancer activity targeting the TrxR system is increasing. In this review, we discuss the feasibility and value of the TrxR system as a strategy for anticancer activity research by examining the relationship between the function of the intracellular TrxR system and the development and progression of cancer, considering the anticancer activity and mechanism of TrxR inhibitors.

Appraising the Interface Features of Web Search Engines Based on User-defined Relevance Criteria (이용자정의형 적합성 기준을 토대로 한 웹검색엔진 인터페이스 평가)

  • Although research has shown a significant amount of work identifying various dimensions of relevance along with exhaustive lists of relevance criteria, there seem to have been less effort to apply the findings to improve actual systems design. Based on this assumption, this paper investigates to what extent those relevance criteria have been incorporated into the interface features of major commercial Web search engines, suggesting what can/should be done more. Before stepping into the actual system features, this paper compares recent relevance research in Information Science with other human factor studies both in Information Science and its neighboring discipline (HCI), as an attempt to identify studies that are conceptually similar to the relevance research, but not named as such way. Similarities and differences between these studies are presented. Recommendations suggested to support applicable interface features include: 1) further personalization of interface designs; 2) author-supplied meta tags for the Web contents; and 3) extensions of beyond-topical representations based on link structure.
