Study on Corporate Facebook Posts and User Engagement of the KOSPI 100 Companies in Korea: Difference between B2B and B2C Companies (국내 100대 기업 페이스북 콘텐츠 전략과 인게이지먼트 연구: B2B·B2C 기업 간 차이를 중심으로)

  • Companies actively engage with the public through social media to enhance sales and promote brand awareness, which was further encouraged by the pandemic. However, previous studies tend to consider companies as a group of identical features. This study focuses on the differences between B2B and B2C companies' social media content strategy in relation to user engagement. This study categorized KOSPI 100 companies that manage Facebook corporate fan pages into B2B and B2C, and then analyzed the contents they posted from January 1 to December 31, 2020. The result showed that B2C companies tended to use videos over images, prefer hashtags, and comment its product name more often compared to B2B companies. B2B companies preferred images, used more hyperlinks, and mentioned its company name more often. In B2B companies, images and length of text had positive effects on user engagement, while hyperlink and URL had negative effects. B2C companies' text length had positive effect on user engagement. This study provides practical implications to PR practitioners for establishing a social media strategy which enhances user engagement.

The Relationship Between Corporate Entrepreneurship and Performance, and the Moderating Effect of CEO's Transformational Leadership in Entrepreneurs' Cooperative (협동조합 조합원의 사내기업가정신이 재무적 성과와 사회적 성과에 미치는 효과 및 변혁적 리더십의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and performance, and the moderating effect of CEO's transformational leadership in entrepreneurs'cooperative. In order to verify and achieve the purposes mentioned above, questionnaire data were gathered and analysed from 215 employees of entrepreneurs'cooperative in Metropolitan and kangwon-do vicinity. Multiple regression and multiple hierarchical regression analysis were applied to test the proposed hypotheses: 1) the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship(innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactiveness) and performance(sales volume, profit, employment), 2) the moderating effect of CEO's transformational leadership(charisma, individual consideration, intellectual stimulation) on the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and performance. Empirical survey's findings are as follows; First, risk-taking appeared to be positively related with sales volume, profit, and employment. Proactiveness appeared to be positively related with sales volume and profit. But innovativeness appeared not to be significantly related with sales volume, profit, and employment. Second, CEO's transformational leadership appeared to be related with financial performance(sales volume and profit), but not to be related with employment. Charisma and individual consideration moderated positively the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and financial performance(sales volume and profit). Intellectual stimulation moderated positively only the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and profit.

  • The study was undertaken to identify in relation stress perceived, perceived physical health status and Chewing difficulty with over 60 years elderly people. The subjects of the study were 10,806 subjects who answered to National Health and Nutrition survey for (2016, 2017). The response of 1,195 subjects were used for the final analysis. Analysis conducted using SPSS version 12.0 included Chi-square test to identify stress perceived, perceived physical health status and Chewing difficulty rate according to subject characteristics and multivariate logistic regression analysis to determined independent significance. Stress perceived was correlated with perceived physical health status(p=-0.252**), and had a negatively correlation, Chewing difficulty(p=-.150**). Therefore it is necessary to evaluate as a predictor of health risk for the health promotion of the elderly.

A Study on the Effects of Corporate Association in Family Restaurants upon Customer's Company Evaluation - Focused on the Medicating Roles of Service Valuation - (패밀리 레스토랑에 대한 고객의 기업 연상이 기업평가에 미치는 영향연구 - 서비스 평가의 매개역할을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of corporate association in family restaurants upon the customer's service valuation and company evaluation and to empirically analyze whether the service valuation plays a mediating role between the corporate association and the company evaluation. Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 301 customers and the data were analysed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The primary results are as follows. Multiple regression analysis, to verify the hypothesis, showed that corporate association(corporate competence association $\beta$=0.636; corporate social responsibility association $\beta$=0.091) in family restaurants had positively significant influence upon service valuation, and service valuation($\beta$=0.567) had positively significant influence on company evaluation. As a result of analyzing the mediating effects, the direct effects(corporate competence association $\beta$=0.166; corporate social responsibility association $\beta$=0.123) of the corporate association in family restaurants upon customer's corporate evaluation were indicated to be smaller than the total effects(corporate competence association $\beta$=0.430; corporate social responsibility association $\beta$=0.161). Accordingly, the partial mediating effect was surveyed to exist that has influence upon company evaluation through service evaluation without explaining 100% directly in evaluation on corporate association.

  • Holding conventions and exhibitions are deemed as a highly valued-added services. The conventions and exhibitions industry (CEI) contributes to the development of the region in which the venues are located by creating jobs, boosting the local economics, attracting dollars and increasing tax incomes. At the same time, the international awareness of the region rises after holding an international exhibition or convention. This study investigated the effects of outsourcing services quality that employed by corporations organizing conventions and exhibitions on business performance and customer satisfaction of organizing corporations. It was found that many convention organizing corporations relied on outsourcing services for the most of the process. Given that the staff members of outsourcing companies serve as the major source of services for events, the quality of their services has much effects on the business results of hiring corporations. In this study, major factors influencing the service quality and the importance of the service quality were addressed. And the ideas for effective method for controlling the outsourcing sources were also suggested for hiring corporations and outsourcing companies.

Intangibility, Profitability and Employment Growth of Firms (기업의 무형화, 수익률 그리고 고용성장)

  • Since the 1990s rising intangible asset has become one of the main driving forces of investment stagnation and jobless growth in advanced income countries. We investigate how does the impact of firms' profitability on employment growth depends on the intangibility and whether the relationship between profitability and tangibility has complementarity. With data on Korean firms over the period 1988~2017 we investigate the effects of intangibility and profitability on employment growth based on the econometric approach of system GMM. The empirical results are as follows. (1) the profit rate has gradually led to lower employment growth, while it had positive effect on employment before the period of financial crisis. The estimated values and signs of profit rate coefficients varies from traditional industries to high/medium tech. industries. (2) the effect of increasing asset intangibility ratio on employment growth is negative and statistically significant. (3) the coefficients of interaction term of (profit rate ${\times}$ intangibility ratio) have significant negative values. It means employment effect of profit rate are becoming higher(lower) as intangibility ratio is at the lower(higher) level; profits rate and intangibility are not complement with each other. The results imply that to boost employment industrial policy which has the capacity to coordinate business intangibility is preferred to expansionary demand policy.

  • Mass Customization combines the advantages of mass production and customization. Mass customization has been praised as an innovative approach that would result in changes in business paradigm. However, there is no consensus on the concept of mass customization, but only a generally accepted framework exists to explain successful practices. Prior cases in mass customization are those of the small-medium sized or Internet-based companies. We in this paper explore the mass customization cases of market-leading manufacturers. Although those traditional organizations may be not for swift change, the cases of those companies are important because they target mass markets. Lampel and Mintzberg[35] proposed a continuum of strategies ranging from pure standardization to pure customization. This study investigates mass customization strategies of three companies. In this paper, the cases of cosmetics and sports shoe can be described as tailored customization, and the household appliances case can be classified as customized standardization. These three cases are compared with each other from the customers' decoupling point. Findings and implications of this research are discussed.

The Characteristics of Foreign Portfolio Investment (외국인 포트폴리오 투자의 특징)

  • After the year of 2000, the Korean government has abolished the limit on foreign investments. Foreign investments in the domestic market have been thriving since. In domestic stock market, the proportion of market value held by foreign investors reaches over 40%. There are many followers in the markets, asking about what kinds of the firm that foreign investors prefer. Prior researches show that foreign investors in the American and European markets prefer stocks of the firm which are well known and are geographically closer. In this paper, we attempt to define the financial characteristics of the firms in which foreigners invest in the Korean market. The result shows that foreign investors in the domestic market tend to prefer firms with high market value of capital and dividend yield. It also shows that foreign investors in the Korean market choose firms with high book value to market value over others, while the firms with high debt ratio and the portion of the largest stock holders are shunned. This research suggests that foreign portfolio investments in the Korean market have contributed to liquidity of stock market and changed the governance structure of domestic firms in a positive way.

  • 금년 7월 1일부터 개정 시행되는 품질경영촉진 및 공산품안전관리범파, 2002 년 7 월 1 일부터 시행되는 제조물책임(Product Liability; PL)법으로 인하여 제품의 안전성을 제고하기 위한 노력이 정부와 기업. 학계에서 다각도로 진행중이다. 그러나, 그 추진방향들이 아직 제각각이어서 하나의 조직적인 체계를 갖추진 못하고 있다. 그 이유는 제조물책임에 대응하기 위한 제품안전성 향상이 어느 한 분야의 활동으로는 충족시킬 수 없기 때문이지만, 기본적으로는 제품안전이 담당하여야 하는 책임의 범위가 어디까지인지 기업을 비롯한 관계자들이 명확히 이해하고 있지 못하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 관련하여, 기존에 이미 시행착오를 겪은 선진국들의 소송사례를 중심으로 제품결함 중 어느 부분에 문제가 제기되는가를 살펴보고, 그 대응책을 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저 제조물책임법의 제정 취지와 법에서 정하고 있는 책임범위가 어디까지인지를 살펴보고, 선진국의 소송사례를 중심으로 그 적용범위를 확인하였다 또한 제조물책임에 대응하기 위한 방법이 어떻게 진행되는지를 살펴보고, 그 중 제품 안전성 (Product Safety) 을 향상시키기 위하여 신뢰성이나 품질측면에서 경영상의 어떤 노력이 경주되어야 하는가를 검토하였다. 한편, 리스크 관리상의 리스크 분석과 위험성 분석과의 관계, 위험성 분석의 기법들, 위험성 분석기법의 선정요령, 제품의 안전성을 평가하기 위하여 기존의 위험성 분석기법을 어떻게 활용할 것인가, 적용상의 문제점은 없는가 검토하였다. 마지막으로, 현재 기업들이 가장 소홀하게 대응하고 있는 표시상의 결함에 대하여 소송 및 보상사례를 살펴보고, 그에 대한 대책으로서 픽토그램, 라벨, 경고문구, 그리고 사용설명서의 작성 및 표시 방안에 대하여 대응방안을 고찰하였다. 용융이 발생될 수 있다. 따라서, 이러한 현상을 방지하기 위해서는 진공 분위기 하에서 적절한 접합 틈새를 유지할 수 있는 공정 및 장비의 개발이 필요하다.(Icing화) 문제가 발생하기 때문에 배기가스의 Icing을 방지하기 위하여 압축기 끝단에서 공기를 추출하여 배기부분에 송출할 필요성이 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 출구가스의 기체 유동속도가 매우 빠르므로 (100-l10m.sec) 이를 완화하기 위한 디퓨저의 설계가 요구된다고 판단된다. 또 연소기 후방에 물을 주입하는 경우 열교환기 및 기타 부분품에 발생할 수 있는 부식 및 열교환 효율 저하도 간과할 수 없는 문제로 파악되었다. 이러한 기술적 문제가 적절히 해결되는 경우 비활성 가스 제너레이터는 민수용으로는 대형 빌딩, 산림, 유조선 등의 화재에 매우 적절히 사용되어 질 수 있을 뿐 아니라 군사적으로도 군사작전 중 및 공군 기지의 화재 그리고 지하벙커에 설치되어 있는 고급 첨단 군사 장비 등의 화재 뿐 아니라 대간첩작전 등에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.가 작으며, 본 연소관에 충전된 RDX/AP계 추진제의 경우 추진제의 습기투과에 의한 추진제 물성 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.의 향상으로, 음성개선에 효과적이라고 사료되었으며, 이 방법이 편측 성대마비 환자의 효과적인 음성개선의 치료방법의 하나로 응용될 수 있으리라 생각된다..7%), 혈액투석, 식도부분절제술 및 위루술·위회장문합술을 시행한 경우가 각 1례(2.9%)씩이었다. 13) 심각한 합병증은 9례(26.5%)에서 보였는데 그중 식도협착증이 6례(17.6%), 급성신부전증 1례(2.9%), 종격동기흉과 폐염이 병발한 경우와 폐염이 각 1례(2.9%)였다. 14) 식도경 시행회수는 1회가 17례(54.8%), 2회가 9례(29.0%), 3회 이상이

The Hidden Lynchpin of Startup Accelerators : Accelerator Entrepreneur Passion (스타트업 액셀러레이터의 감춰진 린치핀 : 액셀러레이터 창업가 열정)

  • There is growing empirical evidence that passion is an important part of entrepreneurship and influences the intentions, behaviors and performance of entrepreneurs, employees and startups. Passion is especially important in an entrepreneurial context, given the effort and challenge that entrepreneurs starting a startup must overcome. The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of the passion of startup entrepreneurs participating in the accelerator incubation program and the passion of accelerator entrepreneurs and managers on the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups. In addition, we tried to confirm whether entrepreneurial self-efficacy plays a mediating role in this influence relationship. The survey was conducted online by startups entrepreneur who completed the accelerator incubation program. A total of 330 questionnaires were used for the analysis. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was confirmed that the passion of startup entrepreneurs and the passion of accelerator entrepreneurs and managers all had a positive (+) effect on the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups. The influence of passion was found to be high in the order of startup entrepreneurs, accelerator entrepreneurs, and accelerator managers. It was confirmed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy plays a mediating role between the passion of startup entrepreneurs, the passion of accelerator entrepreneurs, and the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups, respectively. However, no significant mediating role was identified between the passion of accelerator managers and the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups. This study is significant in empirically confirming for the first time that the passion of accelerator entrepreneurs and managers has a positive effect on the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups. The passion of accelerator entrepreneurs and managers is playing an important role as a hidden lynchpin in creating the entrepreneurial performance of incubator startups. In particular, since the passion of accelerator entrepreneurs has a great influence on the performance of incubator startups, it is necessary to recognize this fact and carefully examine their passion reputation when startups select accelerators.
