Exploration of Research Themes in Entrepreneurship via Trend Analysis in Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business (「중소기업연구」 40년 '기업가정신(Entrepreneurship)' 연구의 동향과 과제)

  • To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean Association of Small Business Studies, this study reviewed research papers on the subject of entrepreneurship in the Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business. For 40 years, the subjects of entrepreneurship-related studies published in this journal were relatively limited and the number of articles was very few. The research papers mainly focus on defining entrepreneurship as an innovation or as a determinant of innovation and survey-based empirical studies have been conducted since the publication of the Entrepreneurial Orientation(EO) by Lumpkin and Dess(1996). Although entrepreneurship is a research field that can be approached from various perspectives such as economics, sociology, psychology, cultural anthropology, and organization theory, most of the papers published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business do not clearly state their theoretical positions or viewpoints. Moreover, there are few studies that incorporate corporate entrepreneurs or startup teams although they have been major actors or entrepreneurship. Lastly, innovation has been the main focus of research, leaving other arenas such as opportunity recognition and discovery understudied. In order to increase the quantity and improve the quality in the entrepreneurship research, we need to have the entrepreneurship field as one academic section in the Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business.

The Effects of Social Entrepreneurship and Blended Value Orientation on Performance of Social Enterprises (사회적 기업가정신과 혼합가치 지향성이 사회적 기업의 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, research on social entrepreneurship, which simultaneously pursues social value creation and economic sustainability has increased rapidly. Researchers conducted several empirical studies, noting that social entrepreneurship is a major factor in improving the performance of social enterprises. However, most previous studies usually have limitations in measuring the performance of social enterprises based on the subjective perception of entrepreneurs, which implies the limitations of the common method bias. In addition, there is a lack of empirical evidence that can explain the specific process in which the personal characteristic of an entrepreneur, social entrepreneurship, affects the achievement of dual goals. Therefore, this study empirically investigates the effect of social entrepreneurship on performance increasing the objectivity of performance measurement and including blended value orientation(BVO), a characteristic of viewing social and economic performance as a single thing. The purpose of the study is to verify the effect of social entrepreneurship and BVO on the social and economic performance of social enterprises. We conducted regression analysis using the results of the perception survey of social enterprises in South Korea and objective performance data. As a result, risk-taking, a sub-factor of social entrepreneurship, had a positive effect on economic and social performance at a significant level. In addition, it was confirmed that social entrepreneurship improves BVO, and it affects social performance. Therefore, this study found that social entrepreneurship and BVO have a discriminatory effect on economic and social performance, respectively. This study is meaningful in that it attempted to overcome the common method bias as measuring subjectivity performance.

여성의 기업가정신이 창업성과에 미치는 영향: 경력단절여성창업자 대상으로 회복탄력성 조절효과검증

  • 대한민국은 2017년 이후 저출산·고령화사회로 진입하였고 생산가능인구가 감소함에 따라 노동생산성이 낮아지고 있으며, 여성의 경력단절 문제가 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 정부에서는 여성가족부와 고용노동부가 함께 여성의 경력단절 예방과 해결을 위해 다양한 지원창업과 경제활동을 장려하고 있지만 현실에서의 재취업장벽과 열악한 노동환경, 일과 가정의 양립 문제 등으로 인해 경력단절 여성들 특히, 고스펙·고학력의 여성들은 취업이 아닌 창업을 선택하고 있으나 창업의 성공률은 그다지 높지 않아 다양한 대비책이 요구되는 실정이다. 여성 기업가는 창업부터 성장하기까지 수많은 위험요소에 노출되어 있으며 이러한 위험요소를 체계적으로 관리하고 극복하는 노하우를 쌓아 잘 활용하였을 때 경제활동의 핵심주축으로 성장할 수 있으며 창업이라는 혁신적이고 생산적인 활동으로 전환해 일자리 창출 및 기업의 혁신과 나아가서는 국가경제발전에 기여할 수 있는 토대가 될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 여성의 기업가정신이 창업성과에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하는데 있다. 경력단절여성 창업자를 대상으로 기업가정신이 창업성과에 미치는 영향과 회복탄력성이 조절효과를 갖는지 여부를 확인하고자 하였다. 여성기업가 특유의 소비자의 욕구를 세심하고 활동적으로 파악하여 생활밀착형 아이디어가 풍성면모와 창조적인 아이디어를 갖고 적극적으로 실행해보고자 하는 진취적인 성향과 회복탄력성이 창업성과에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 상황에 초점을 두고 연구모형을 설정하였다. 이를 위해, 기업가정신의 구성요소를 '혁신성', '진취성', '위험감수성'을 독립변수로 구성하였고, 창업성과의 주요구성요소인 '재무성과', '비재무성과'를 종속변수로 설정하였다. 또한 회복탄력성을 조절변수로하는 연구모형을 상정하였고 이는 여성의 기업가정신과 창업성과의 관계에서 회복탄력성의 조절효과여부를 확인하여 여성의 기업가정신교육과 회복탄력성의 중요성을 밝히고 활성화를 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구는 여성의 기업가정신이 창업성과에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 것을 규명했다는 점에서 시사점을 갖는다. 심각한 사회문제로 떠오르고 있는 여성의 경력단절 문제를 해소하기 위해 향후 중소벤처기업부 및 여성가족부, 고용노동부 등에서는 여성창업자를 대상으로 체계적인 기업가정신교육과 회복탄력성에 관한 교육을 시행할 것을 제언한다.

  • The concepts of entrepreneurship are very various. So many researchers are confused or not sure of the concepts of entrepreneurship. Some entrepreneurship researches has defined the entrepreneurship as 'self-employment. This study try to set a comprehensive conceptual model of concepts of entrepreneurship through classification of word and phrase with job analysis and competence model. Several concepts of entrepreneurship which important prior researchers, had defined are analysed into 'subject', 'object', 'verb', 'goal and behavioral results' with content analysis. Also, Several concepts of entrepreneur which important prior researchers had defined, are analysed into 'individual psychological traits', 'competence and ability', 'motive', and 'function or job (business).' This study suggests a integrated conceptual model of entrepreneurship based on analysed results.

  • 본 연구에서는 소규모 외식산업 창업자의 개인특성, 기업가정신, 경영성과간의 관계를 실증적으로 살펴보고 프랜차이즈 가맹점 창업자와 비가맹점 창업자와의 비교를 통한 차이점및 유의성을 알아보고져한다. 기업가정신이 외식산업을 혁신적으로 경영할뿐 아니라 기업의 경영성과도 증대시킨다는 연구결과들은 많이 보고 되어지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 창업자의 개인특성과 기업과정신과의 관계를 살펴보고 아울러 소규모 외식창업에서도 기업가정신이 경영성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고 프랜차이즈 가맹창업과 비가맹창업에 비교를 통하여 창업형태에 따른 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고져 한다.

Investigating the Effect of Social Learning about Entrepreneurship on Creativity (기업가정신의 사회적 학습이 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, global economic recession has a significant influence on promoting launch of start-ups around the world. As is often the case, powerful and bright entrepreneurship is required so that the start-ups may be successful in their target markets. Despite the fact that numerous studies about impact of the entrepreneurship on start-ups exist in literature, there is no study attempting to recognize importance of social learning about entrepreneurship on individual creativity of those who have intentions to become entrepreneurs of start-ups. In this sense, this study proposes a new research model in which social learning about entrepreneurship is assumed to have an influence on individual creativity of start-ups candidates. For the sake of proving the proposed research model more rigorously, we include those constructs such as para-social interaction, imitation of role model, and internal motivation. We garnered 89 valid questionnaires from college students who were invited to the experiments designed for this study. Results proved that para-social interaction and imitation of role model affect internal motivation significantly, which in turn affects individual creativity positively. These results also provide theoretical directions revealing the embedding process of entrepreneurial capital among society.

  • In market-oriented, infinite competition era, even the world's top-tier companies can be collapsed suddenly. In order to continue to grow, a company must constantly introduce new value to the market. What is required in today's business environment is the manifestation of entrepreneurship. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and business performance and organizational commitment. The results of the empirical analysis are based on the data from companies which have more than 20,000 employees and 30 years business history. Structural Equation Modeling analysis was conducted to confirm the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship, business performance, and organizational commitment. Also, multiple Regression Analysis was conducted to confirm the relationship between entrepreneurial competency, corporate entrepreneurship performance, and management expectation performance. The causality between latent variables was significant. As a result, it was proved that entrepreneurial competencies had the significant effect on both corporate entrepreneurship performance and management expectation performance. Also, the study result was proved that organizational commitment showed the mediating effect between entrepreneurial competencies and corporate entrepreneurship performance. Based on the study results, the needs for developing individuals equipping entrepreneurial competencies was identified for increased business performance which was accomplished through the manifestation of entrepreneurship.

MOOC의 기업가정신 교육프로그램에 대한 사례분석 연구 -해외 주요 MOOC 플랫폼을 중심으로-

  • 21세기는 전 세계를 대상으로 디지털 네이티브가 활약하며 '틀이 없는 교육'을 지향하는 혁신 교육 패러다임 세상이다. 이미 세계 여러 나라에서는 ICT(Information & Communication Technology)를 미래를 대비한 교육 개선의 핵심사업의 일환으로 교육에 활용하고 있다. 이를 토대로 2012년 출현하여 현재 급성장하고 있는 대규모 공개 온라인 수업을 MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)라고 부른다. 세계의 많은 우수한 대학들이 앞장서서 수업을 공개하고 상호 소통하는 플랫폼 역할을 하는 MOOC(이하'무크'라고 한다)는 교육 분야의 다양한 영역에서 활용되고 있다. 또한, 세계경제의 장기적인 불황과 저성장을 극복하기 위해 기업가정신과 창업에의 관심이 매우 높아져 있는 지금, 미국과 유럽을 중심으로 기업가정신(Entrepreneurship)교육 프로그램 또한 무크 플랫폼을 통해 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 국내에서는 아직까지 무크의 중요성을 인지하고 실제 다양한 교육과정에서 활용하는 이용자가 적은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 해외의 주요한 무크 플랫폼의 사례분석과 학습자 및 교수자들의 인터뷰를 통한 질적 연구방법을 활용하여 '무크 플랫폼이 기업가정신 교육에 효율적인지에 관한 연구문제'를 설정하고 이러한 연구문제에 대한 분석을 통해 총체적인 관점에서 무크 현상의 본질적 가치와 의미를 이해 하고자 한다. 지금 급속도로 확산되고 있는 창업교육에 이러한 무크 플랫폼을 통한 가속화를 기대할 수 있을지, 또한 이러한 무크 플랫폼을 통한 교육효과는 우리가 기대할 수 있을만한지 본 연구를 통해 분석하려고 한다.

Development of Index about the sixth Industrial Entrepreneurship (6차산업 기업가정신 지표개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop index about the sixth industrial entrepreneurs to establish the spirit and measuring the sixth industrial entrepreneurship for groups successfully led to the sixth industry of agriculture, which is actively being conducted in recent years aimed at rural stimulate the economy. Enlighten the value of rural resources, production, processing, in a sixth industry establishment that has a characteristic of fusion distribution and tourism in addition to the elements of the entrepreneurship that has been emphasized in the traditional establishment, the more diverse entrepreneurship element has been requested. In this study, to derive the traditional entrepreneurship of the components and the sixth industry entrepreneurship component through literature research, through interviews with experts of the sixth industry, an important element of the entrepreneurship that is required in the field It was derived. Based on the derived results, set the index of the sixth industry entrepreneurship, it was conducted a questionnaire survey of sixth industry workers. Through analysis of the navigation factors, to evaluate the measurement and indicators of relevance, factors that have been set through the results literature study and interviews of exploratory factor analysis it was found that has been rationally constructed. The results of this study, education and consulting for the activation of the sixth industry, would be able to take advantage of, such as in the planning of education programs for whom decide to go back to the countryside(Agro migration). In addition, to diagnose the entrepreneurship of a conventional sixth industry progress mainly, it is expected to be able to help you to proceed with the custom capability development that meets the individual needs.

A Systematic Literature Review of Social Entrepreneurship: Focusing on the Field of Business Administration (사회적 기업가정신의 체계적 문헌연구: 경영학 분야를 중심으로)

  • As the complexity of social problems and interdependency increased significantly, research on social entrepreneurship(SEship) increased rapidly. In this study, systematic approaches(bibliometrics analysis, citation network analysis, and keyword network analysis) were performed to identify research trends in business administration. To this end, keywords of 883 SEship papers published in prominent journals in the SCOPUS database were collected to investigate the existing research flow. The results of this study can be helpful for grasping the perspective of scholars in the business administration on SEship research and determining research topics through understanding related concepts.
