Nonlinear Dynamic Characteristics of Gear Driving System with Tooth Modification (치형수정된 기어구동계의 비선형 동특성 해석)

  • To reduce the vibration of a gear driving system. the modification of gear tooth from the orignal involute gear profile is usually done in gear manufacturers. The quantity of tooth modification has been decided on the basis of the interference between two gear teeth during gear meshing and the elastic deformation due to loading. However. the dynamic characteristics with tooth modification has to be investigated to avoid the instability to the variation of gear meshing stiffness and the nonlinearity due to gear backlash which results in sub- or super-harmonics in its responses. This research shows the dynamic characteristics with various tooth modifications in its type and quantity.

  • The aim of study is to develop a dual driven ship berthing/deberthing system with $360^{\circ}$ steerability. A large ship used bow thruster, side thruster and pod propulsor etc. when approaching to a pier. But as marine leisure boats become large-scaled, the number of accidents is recently increasing what caused a ship to crash into a ship and a ship to crash into mooring facilities during berthing/deberthing on a marina. To solve the problem, the control responsiveness of a joystick connected with two motors and a propeller was checked and torque was increased by the electromagnetic design of magnetic gear. A sea trial test was carried out to investigate a performance of the developed system in the real sea.

Characteristics Analysis of a Pseudoelastic SMA Mesh Washer Gear for Jitter Attenuation of Stepper-actuated Gimbal-type Antennas (스텝모터 구동형 짐벌 안테나의 미소진동저감을 위한 초탄성 형상기억합금 메쉬 와셔 기어의 기본특성 분석)

  • A two-axis gimbal-type X-band antenna is widely used to transmit bulk image data from high-resolution observation satellites. However, undesirable microvibrations induced by driving the antenna should be attenuated, because they are a main cause of image-quality degradation of the observation satellite. In this study, a pseudoelastic memory alloy (SMA) gear was proposed to attenuate the microvibrations by driving the antenna in an azimuth angle. In addition, the proposed gear can overcome the limitations of the conventional titanium blade gear, which is not still enough and is vulnerable to plastic deformations under excessive torque. To investigate the basic characteristics of the proposed SMA mesh washer gear, a static load test was performed on the thickness of the SMA mesh washer and the rotation of the gear. Moreover, The microvibration measurement test demonstrated that the SMA mesh washer gear proposed in this study is effective for microvibration attenuation.

Conformance-Based Dynamic Performance Optimization of an Actuator (순응도 기반의 구동기 동적 성능 최적화)

  • This study shows the conformance-based design results of a fourth-order dynamic actuator showing a performance variation caused by variation in the components as well as aero-induced disturbances. The actuator comprises a BLDC motor, spur gear and worm gear assembly, and canard. The actuator performance was evaluated by using time-variant angle information of the canard. Based on the response surface models, critical system variables were screened using F-tests, and then, the performance was approximated as a function of the variables because it is difficult to determine the performance of a high-order dynamic system as a function of system variables through analytical approaches. In this study, the conformance of uncertain performance to the specification was defined as a probability measure. The design variables obtained by optimizing the measure can provide actuator performance conforming to the specifications considered, even though there is a variation in both the components and the aero-induced disturbances.

A Study on Vibration Characteristics Caused by Backlash of Gearbox in Escalator with Chain-sprocket Drive Mechanism (체인-스프라켓 메커니즘을 갖는 에스컬레이터에서 기어박스 백래시로 인한 이상진동에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents an improved escalator dynamic model so as to reflect the experimental observation on the pseudo-resonance affected by load applied. The experimental evidence reveals that backlash on gearbox as well as sag of driving Chain are most critical factors to the pseudo-resonance in escalators. The dynamic model effectively reflects vibration characteristics measured in real escalators with respect to different conditions of driving chain and the number of passengers. For validation of the dynamic model developed. numerical results from the model are compared with experimental results. The developed model and its simulation results are used rigorously for the design of escalator systems in enhancing the ride comfort.

  • 선형 전동기는 일반 회전기를 펼친 상태로 유도기, 전동기, 직류기 및 기타 특수 전동기로 분류하며 그 원리는 회전형 전동기와 같다. 직선 운동을 필요로 하는 시스템에서 기계적 변환 기구를 사용하지 않고 직접 직선 운동을 얻을 수 있으므로 향후 자동화 기기, 교통수단, 산업용 기기 등에 많은 수요를 창출할 수 있는 전동기이다. 또한 선형 전동기는 일반 회전형 전동기에 비해 스크류, 체인, 기어 시스템 등의 기계적인 변환장치가 없이 선형 구동력을 직접 발생시키므로 청정을 필요로 하는 환경에서 회전형에 비해 절대적으로 우세하다. 그러나 이상과 같은 장점을 지닌 선형 전동기를 실제 시스템에 적용하기 위해서는 속도의 저하에 따른 저 출력, 저 효율 및 고 가격과 같은 문제들을 우선적으로 해결해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이 선형 전동기 기술이 적용되는 차세대 LCD 공정 자동화설비인 10,000N급 Stocker System에 적용되는 핵심기술과 기술개발 동향에 대한 소개를 하고자 한다.

A Study for Predicting Rotational Cutting Torque from Electrical Energy Required for Ground Drilling (지반절삭 전기에너지를 활용한 회전굴착토크 예측에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposes a method to estimate drilling torque during ground boring with an aid of electrical energy required for rotating a boring-auger. Ground boring is commonly used in geotechnical engineering such as preboring precast pile installation, soil-cement grouting, ground exploration and so forth. In order to understand the correlation between required electrical energy to rotate the boring auger and the drilling torque, a small laboratory apparatus was designed and a pilot study was performed. The apparatus rotates common drill bits of $D=5{\sim}25mm$ in CBR specimens. The velocity of a bit is 19 RPM and predefined using a reduction gear which connects a main rotation axis to a 25 Watts AC electrical motor shaft. In the middle of drilling the motor current increments and the drilling torque were measured and the correlation between the current and the torque was obtained through linear square fits. Based on the correlation the acquired motor current during drilling was applied to predict the drilling torque in consequent testing and the prediction results were compared to the measured torque. The comparison leads a conclusion that the motor current during drilling using electrical power may be a good indicator to estimate/determine strength characteristics of the ground.

  • 현재 국내의 경우 4륜 승용관리기가 개발되었으나 성능 미비와 편이성 부족으로 승용관리기 및 부속 작업기 보급이 매우 저조한 상태이다. 3륜 승용관리기는 작업기 복부 장착으로 작업의 정밀도, 편이성, 관측의 용이성 향상과 함께 지상고 제고, 차폭 조절, 조향 등의 성능 개선을 기할 수 있다. 국내에서는 3륜 승용관리기용 복부 장착 부속작업기가 거의 개발되어 있지 않으며, 특히 두류 재배에 있어서 일관기계화 작업을 위한 관리작업기의 개발은 매우 필요한 실정이다. 승용관리기에 의한 중경제초는 잡초방제는 물론 물 빠짐과 토양 속 통기가 좋아지고, 지온 조절, 쓰러짐 방지, 부정근 발생을 조장하여 콩의 생육과 결실을 좋게 함으로써 수량이 증가되는 효과가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 3륜 승용관리기에 적합한 복부장착형의 중경제초기를 설계 제작하였다. 3륜 승용관리기용 중경제초기는 승용관리기의 복부 PTO에서의 구동력 전달을 위한 연결 조인트, 중간축, 기어 및 체인 전동기구, 구동축으로 구성된 동력전달부, 중경제초를 위한 5개의 로타리 날과 후방 1개의 제초날로 구성된 3조의 작업날, 경심 조절을 위한 바퀴, 다양한 조간거리에 적응을 위한 조간조정 나사부, 흙의 비산 방지를 위한 로타리 날 커버 및 케이스, 3륜 승용관리기에의 부착을 위한 프레임 및 부착보조 작업기 이동용 바퀴장치 등으로 구성 설계 제작하였다. 로타리 날은 기존 시판 관리기용 로타리 중경 날을 사용하였는데 진행방향에 역으로 회전하도록 하였고, 날의 회전반경은 약 330 mm, 조당 경운 폭은 약 250 mm, 최대 경심 100 mm로 설계하였다. 조간거리의 조절범위는 수동나사에 의하여 620~900 mm 범위로 무단조절 할 수 있도록 하였다. 중경제초기는 3륜 승용 관리기 복부의 평행링크에 부착되므로 작업기의 이동 및 부착 편이성을 위하여 이동용 바퀴를 설치하였다. 제작된 중경제초기의 크기는 길이${\times}$${\times}$높이가 $660{\times}2072{\times}880mm$, 중량은 약 200 kg으로 제작되었다.
