COMS DATS Implementation and Test (통신해양기상위성 데이터 송수신 서브시스템의 구축 및 시험)

  • DATS which is one of three subsystems of IDACS is responsible to receive Sensor Data, LRIT and HRIT in L-Band and transmit LRIT and HRIT in S-Band from/to COMS satellite. This paper shows detailed test procedures used to verify the performance and functionality of DATS after its implementation was completely finished. As a part of efforts to verify key DATS performance, G/T and EIRP were measured by using solar flux density as radio source. Regarding the verification of DATS functionality, RF loop-back test was conducted to validate if there is no BER degradation excepting MODEM/BB implementation loss occurred in the integrated DATS. Integrated with 13m antenna, DATS successfully restored image from received MTSAT-1R broadcasting data, LRIT and HRIT, of which frequencies are all L-Band. S-Band transmission was also verified through test antenna placed away from 13m antenna by measuring real LRIT and HRIT spectrum in S-Band. From those test results, DATS is determined to be fully ready to communicate with COMS in L-Band and S-Band.

  • 동절기, 야간 등 도로에서 결빙으로 인한 연쇄 추돌 사고는 교통 체증 및 2차 사고의 위험으로 이어진다. 도로 중 결빙 발생 다발 지역인 지방도로, 터널 출입구, 교량 구간, 산기슭 도로, 그늘진 곡선 도로를 대상으로 C-ITS 관점 안전운전 결빙 주의보 애플리케이션을 제공하여 결빙으로 발생하는 사고를 미리 예방하고자 한다. 노면/기상 상태를 아두이노, 기상 api로 측정, 차량 운전자용 앱(GIS/맵 기반) 구현을 통해 앱 사용 운전자 간 양방향 V2V, 운전자와 아두이노 센서 간 V2I 통신으로 결빙으로부터 운전자를 보호함에 있다.

  • In order to perform scientific evaluation of dredge results, it is needed to construct the system which is able to manage and evaluate the work process by monitoring in real-time the dredge process such as dredge ship position, dredge depth and dredge volume. This research aims to develop the hydrographic dredge surveying system adding water depth measurement method to both precise positioning and navigation methods using GPS, which allows a high rate of measurement and long distances between the control point and dredging points, operate in all weather conditions, and does not require line of sight to points. We constructed Beacon DGPS-based hydrographic dredger guidance and position management system and developed the operation program which makes the dredge operation perform as monitoring work situation in real-time. It is expected that this developed system will be able to contributes to reducing ultimately the cost in hydrographic dredging or hydrographic construction industries.

  • It has been increasing that significant loss of life and property due to global wanning and extreme weather, and the climate and temperature changes in Korea Peninsula are now greater than the global averages. Climate information from regional climate models(RCM) at a finer resolution than that of global climate models(GCM) is required to predictclimate and weather variability, changes, and impacts. The new surface boundary conditions(SBCs) development is motivated by the limitations and inconsistencies of existing SBCs that have influence on model predictability. A critical prerequisite in constructing SBCs is that the raw data should be accurate with physical consistency across all relevant parameters and must be appropriately filled for missing data if any. The aim of this study is to construct appropriate SBCs for the RCM in Asia domain which will be used for the prevention of disasters due to climate changes. As all SBCs have constructed onto the 30km grid-mesh of the RCM suitable for Asia applications, they can be also used for other distributed models for climate and hydrologic studies.

  • This study is to develop a web-based real-time agricultural flood management system(RAFMS) for 378 agricultural reservoirs equipped with auto water level gauge stations. The RAFMS was designed to operate linking with Rural Agricultural Water Resource Information System(RAWRIS) which supports data viz. real-time rainfall and water level necessary for RAFMS. The system was constituted to monitor the floods simultaneously at each reservoir by calculating the real-time reservoir inflow from watersheds, water level, and release to downstream. In addition, the system has the prediction function for the flood by applying weather forecasting data from Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA).

  • This paper describes the development of on-the-machine measuring(OMM) system which can directly measure the two and three dimensional machined accuracy using a scanning probe in milling machine. Two algorithms, NC program based continuous path(CP) measurement and CAD data assisted point to point(PTP) measurement, are developed for three dimensional measurements, with consideration of the characteristics of the scanning probe. The algorithms are used to develop an auto measuring system. The delveloped system is compared with the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) in terms of accuracy and repeatability. The OMM system is expected to realize measurement time reduction and hence result in high productivity.

  • 기상과 환경 분야에서 원격 탐사의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 레이저를 사용하여 원격 탐사를 수행하는 라이다는 대기 중으로 쏘아올린 레이저 빛이 대기 중 에어러솔이나 기체 분자에 의해 후방산란 된 신호를 측정한다(원재광, 1998). 이러한 라이다를 응용하여 탐지 대상의 공간적 분포와 연속적인 탐사를 통한 시간 변화를 획득할 수 있다. 극저출력(/고반복율) 레이저를 사용하여 망막안전을 보장하고 스캔시스템과 결합된 마이크로 펄스 라이다가 국내기술로 개발되어 에어러솔 관측에 활용되었으며, 향후 여러 분야에서 응용될 것으로 기대된다. A Study on the Characteristics of the Atmospheric Environment in Suwon Based on GIS Data and Measured Meteorological Data and Fine Particle Concentrations (GIS 자료와 지상측정 기상·미세먼지 자료에 기반한 수원시 지역의 도시대기환경 특성 연구)

  • We analyzed the monthly and annual trends of the meteorological factors(wind speeds and directions and air temperatures) measured at an automated synoptic observation system (ASOS) and fine particle (PM10 and PM2.5) concentrations measured at the air quality monitoring systems(AQMSs) in Suwon. In addition, we investigated how the fine particle concentrations were related to the meteorological factors as well as urban morphological parameters (fractions of building volume and road area). We calculated the total volume of buildings and the total area of the roads in the area of 2 km × 2 km centered at each AQMS using the geographic information system and environmental geographic information system. The analysis of the meteorological factors showed that the dominant wind directions at the ASOS were westerly and northwesterly and that the average wind speed was strong in Spring. The measured fine particle concentrations were low in Summer and early Autumn (July to September) and high in Spring and Winter. In 2020, the annual mean fine particle concentration was lowest at most AQMSs. The fine particle concentrations were negatively and weakly correlated with the measured wind speeds and air temperatures (the correlation between PM2.5 concentrations and air temperatures was relatively strong). In Suwon city, at least for 6 AQMSs except for the RAQMS 131116 and AQMS 131118, the PM10 concentrations were affected mainly by the transport from outside rather than primary emission from mobile sources or wind speed decrease caused by buildings and, in the case of PM2.5, vise versa.

  • 토양수분은 지표수의 유출과정을 설명하는 과정에서 중요인자이며, 생태수문학의 핵심변수이자 기상모형의 결정적인 입력변수이다. 또한 토양수분의 공간적 시간적 특징들은 강우 및 지하수와 토양수분간의 순환 구조를 규명하는데 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 산지사면의 토양수분을 체계적으로 측정하는데 필요한 시스템의 구축을 위한 기초조사 및 사전분석에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 우수한 토양 수분 측정 장비인 TDR 장비 매설에 앞서 대상유역 선정에 대한 여러 가지 고려사항을 검토하고 수치지형 분석 등을 통한 사전분석을 실시하였다. 대상유역을 선정하기 위해서는 대상유역의 자료획득의 용이함, 지정학적, 시스템 운영적 측면에서의 가용성, 그리고 정밀측량 및 부수적요인 등 여러 요소의 고려가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 경기도 파주시 적성면 설마리의 설마천 유역내 감악산 범륜사 우측 산지 사면을 측정대상 사면으로, 지정학적 위치, 식생분포, 지질구조 및 심도 등의 토양특성의 고려를 통해서 선정하였다. 또한 대상 사면에 흐름 발생 및 분포를 계산하기 위해서 대상사면의 지표 및 기반암 표고를 정밀 측량하였으며, 기반암 또는 풍화대까지의 깊이를 실측하여 지표면 및 지하면의 수치지형 모형을 구축하였다. 이를 대상사면 및 지하면에 대하여 표고수치지형모형(Digital Elevation Model:DEM)으로 도식한 후 흐름 발생 공간 분포를 계산하였다. 흐름발생공간분포예측은 단방향 알고리즘, 다방향 알고리즘, 흐름 분배 알고리즘 그리고 다중무한방향 알고리즘을 사용하여 지형인자인 기여사면적과 지형습윤지수를 계산하였다. 각 분배알고리즘의 의해 도출된 지형인자들로 인한 흐름발생 공간적 분포특성을 비교하였다. 이는 합리적인 토양수분 측정시스템을 구축하는데 중요한 의사결정 수단으로 판단된다.

  • Telecommunication satellite consists of a bus system and an RF payload system with high efficiency and high gain reflector antennas. Antenna measurement and also RF system performance (antenna under test, payload and satellite level) have to be evaluated enough before launching in the far-field range or equivalent test range. Basically far-field range is required in a range from two hundred meters to several kilo meters, and it is highly constrained to the externa1 environment, like the RF and the whether environment So the compact antenna test range is developed and used efficiently without external environments as in-door facility. This paper describes the configuration of the compact antenna test range, the range error, and the physical concept of the plane wave illumination Also, it provides a overall design of the anechoic chamber and range parameter values to accommodate the precision measurements in antenna test range.
