언젠가 한 번쯤 "뉴스에서 발생하는 소식들은 주가변동에 어떤 영향을 줄까?" 하고 궁금해 본 적이 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 궁금증을 해소하기 위해 뉴스기사에 따른 주식시장의 변동을 연구분석한 내용을 소개한다. 이를 위해 뉴스기사를 크롤링하고 자연어 처리 기술을 통해 긍정적 기사와 부정적 기사를 분류하고 해당 날짜의 주가변동 그래프를 분석하여 뉴스에서의 긍정적 요소와 부정적 요소가 주식시장에 얼마나 영향을 주는지 머신러닝 알고리즘을 통해 알아보았다.

Media coverage of depression, the mental disorder, is on the high rise following the soaring number of reported celebrity suicide. This study is an exploratory attempt to get a glance on how online news media are portraying depression. The content analysis results indicate that celebrity was the most cited source, outnumbering the others such as non-celebrity patients and experts. More than half of the sample attributed the cause of depression to socio-psychological factors. Medical consultation was the most reported means of treating depression among the sample, while over the half did not suggest any treatment methods at all. Overall, celebrity related news were less likely to talk about the cause and treatment methods. In addition, the more neuro-biological factors were designated as the main cause of depression in the articles, the more chances of treatment method of all kinds were brought up. The frame of human interest dominated a little less than half of the articles examined, and only few reported positive outcome or achievements after coping with depression.

한국화재보험협회는 지난 6월 29일 "2005 풍수재해대책 세미나"를 개최하여 강풍에 대한 위험평가, 호우정책 및 기술개발, 풍수해 보험법 및 제도, 사업장에서의 풍수재해 위험 드에 대하여 문제점을 제시하고 대책을 찾아보는 자리를 마련, 지난 호에 관련기사를 게재한 바 있다. 지난 호에 이어 이번 호에서는 발표 내용을 요약해서 소개하도록 한다.

SNS와 스마트기기의 발전으로 온라인을 통한 뉴스 배포가 용이해지면서 악의적으로 조작된 뉴스가 급속도로 생성되어 확산되고 있다. 뉴스 조작은 다양한 형태로 이루어지는데, 이 중에서 정상적인 기사 내에 광고나 낚시성 내용을 포함시켜 독자가 의도하지 않은 정보에 노출되게 하는 형태는 독자가 해당 내용을 진짜 뉴스로 받아들이기 쉽다. 본 논문에서는 뉴스 기사 내에 포함된 문단 중에서 부적합한 문단이 포함되었는지를 판정하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방식에서는 자연어 처리에 유용한 Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)모델 중 Word2Vec과 tf-idf 알고리즘, 로지스틱 회귀를 함께 이용하여 뉴스 부적합 문단을 검출한다. 본 시스템에서는 로지스틱 회귀를 이용하여 문단의 카테고리를 분류하여 본문의 카테고리 분포도를 계산하고 Word2Vec을 이용하여 문단간의 유사도를 계산한 결과에 가중치를 부여하여 부적합 문단을 검출한다.

This study examined how newspapers covered the 60th anniversary of the historical event, 8 15 Independence Day. Specifically, five newspapers from three countries were content-analyzed to see differences, if any, based on country level and political ideology of the newspaper. The findings showed that Japanese newspapers yielded less amount of coverage than those of Korea and China. The newspapers of Korea and China used straight news format, while Japanese newspapers used opinion news format. In terms of information source, Korean newspapers and Chinese newspapers mainly relied on the information from the government, while Japanese newspapers took the information from citizen. The difference also revealed that Korean newspapers focused on domestic situation frame and the other countries more emphasized past memory of the War times. Consequently, the three countries showed clearly different perspectives on the same historical event. These distinctions were caused from national interest rather than political ideology of the newspaper.

This study examines the main characteristics and differences on people's page in selected four national dailies, such as Chosun Ilbo, Joongang Ilbo, Seoul Shinmum and Hankyoreh Shinmun. Both Chosun Ilbo and Joongang Ilbo are categorized as the conservatives; while Seoul Shinmum and Hankyoreh Shinmun as the progressive. This study has been done by applying methods of content analysis to reveal the differences in terms of people's occupations, types of reports, their philosophies, and standards of selecting people by the dailies for the people's pages. The results shows that the conservative newspapers are very similar to the progressive newspapers in terms of occupations and the types of reports, covering the people on people's pages. More specifically, both the conservative dailies and the progressive dailies report the people for whose jobs are related to both social and cultural works. However, the conservative newspapers have much more coverages than the progressive papers in terms of the publicity reporting on the people. The conservatives are also much more reports on the people who are eager to economic success than the progressive dailies; while the progressives papers have much coverages on those who are interesting in helping others than the conservatives papers. Finally, this study reveals that the conservative dailies mainly cover those who are in publicity activities and social elite groups, while the progressive newspapers are the social celebrities and persons of fame in society.

In an attempt to teace trands in fashion journalism based on the examination of recent fashion magazines in korea, this study has dealt with the followings: the number of articles on fashion, image of fashion, characteristics of articles, change in "coordinate" and titles, and length of time of publication. The results of this study follow: 1. Among the general magazines for ladies whose titles have been changed, those dedicated to the "Ms class" have increased the pages on fashion and coverage of casual brand: those for housewives have shown no change in contents despite the change in titles, 2. The length of time of publication does not affect the change in the number of articles on fashion. General magazines for ladies have shown the greater "coordinate" in articles on fashion. 3. In terms of the contents of articles on fashion, those devoted to fashion and clothing are specialized and innovation-oriented, whereas general magaines stress the provision of more practical information. 4. The emergence of the X-generation and the newer generation has resulted in positioning of clothing crand, making them chief tarhet readers.ing them chief tarhet readers.

본 논문은 "X라는 인물은 누구인가?"와 같은 질의어가 주어질 때, X라는 인물에 대한 나이, 직업, 학력 또는 특정 사건에서 X라는 인물의 역할에 대한 정보를 기술하는 문장을 인식하고 추출함으로써 해당 인물에 대한 신문 기사 내용을 요약하는 방법을 제시한다. 질의어 용어에 대해 가능한 많은 관련 문장을 추출하기 위하여 중심 벡터에 기반한 통계적 방법을 적용하였으며, 정확도와 재현율 성능을 개선하기 위해 위키피디어 같은 외부 지식을 사용한 중심 단어의 개선된 가중치 측도를 적용하였다. 실험 대상인 전자신문 말뭉치 상에서 출현 빈도수가 큰 20 인의 IT 인물에 대해 제안한 방법이 개선된 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.
