ITU에서 발생하는 ITU News 2001 No.06에서 브로드밴드의 미래에 대한 기사를 다루면서 한국의 ADSL 성공사례가 소개되었다. 본 지면에서는 동 기사의 대략적인 내용을 살펴보고 브로드밴드에 대한 세계의 흐름을 파악하고자 한다.

신문기사를 대상으로 사건 단위로 문서를 클러스터링 하기 위해서, 기존의 연구에서는 기사의 발행일 또는 기사의 내용만 사용하여 하나의 사건을 다른 사건과 구분하는 방법을 사용해 오고 있다. 하지만 사건의 전개가 시간 차이를 두고 진행되는 경우 또는 비슷한 시간대에 같은 범주에 속하는 사건이 발생하는 경우 기사의 발행일만 사용하여 사건 관련 기사를 구분하는 것은 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국어 신문기사를 대상으로 신문기사에 나타난 시간정보를 자동 추출하고, 이를 기사의 발행일을 기준으로 정규화 한 후 사용하여 사건단위로 기사를 클러스터링 하는 방법을 개발하였다. 즉 한국어 신문 기사를 대상으로 기사에 나타난 시간 표현을 자동으로 추출한 후, 사건과의 유사도 비교에 사용함으로써 사건 단위 클러스터링의 정확도를 높이기 위한 방법을 제안한다.

본 기사는 지난 2월 한양대학교에서 개최되었던 제7회 기술강습회 교재의 내용을 발췌하여 요약정리한 내용으로서, 진동기초의 설계개념을 다른 일반적인 기초와의 차이점을 강조하면서 기술하였다. 본 기사에서는 전체적인 설계절차 및 개념을 소개하기 위하여 해석이론 부문의 언급을 회피하였는데 이 부분에 대한 내용은 다른 주제에서 다루게 된다. 즉, 두번째 주제에서는 블럭형 기초의 설계에 대한 해석이론 및 설계절차를 예제를 통하여 설명하고 있으며, 세번째 주제에서는 프레임형 기초, 그리고 네번째 주제에서는 깊은 기초에 대한 해석이론 및 설계절차를 역시 예재를 통하여 설명하였다. 마지막으로 다섯번째 주제에서는 기계진동을 차단하는 것을 목적으로 하는 방진기초의 설계개념에 대하여 기술하고 있다.

언론에 지구온난화와 관련된 기후변화에 대한 글이 실리기도 한다. 전문가의 조언을 포함한 기후 관련 기사는 일상에서 기후와 무관하게 살아가는 일반인에게도 지적 자극을 불러일으키는 긍정적인 구실을 한다. 그러나 이들 기사에 담긴 내용은 물론 그 내용을 전달하는 용어가 정확하게 구사되었는지를 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 본 고에서는 최근 이슈화한 '우리나라의 아열대화'를 계기로 기존의 기수구분에 대하여 고찰하고 우리나라 실정에 알맞은 기후구분의 방법과 내용에 대해 논의하고자 한다. (중략)

Readership of online newspapers has grown with the proliferation of smart devices. However, fierce competition between Internet newspaper companies has resulted in a large increase in the number of hoax articles. Hoax articles are those where the title does not convey the content of the main story, and this gives readers the wrong information about the contents. We note that the hoax articles have certain characteristics, such as unnecessary celebrity quotations, mismatch in the title and content, or incomplete sentences. Based on these, we extract and validate features to identify hoax articles. We build a large-scale training dataset by analyzing text keywords in replies to articles and thus extracted five effective features. We evaluate the performance of the support vector machine classifier on the extracted features, and a 92% accuracy is observed in our validation set. In addition, we also present a selective bigram model to measure the consistency between the title and content, which can be effectively used to analyze short texts in general.

The purpose of this study is to find out how Korea's national image is being established through content analysis of articles related to Korea by the People's Daily in China. There were 253 articles related to Korea published in the People's Daily from 2016 to 2020. Using content analysis methods, articles related to Korea were reviewed in five categories: number of articles, page, source, subject matter, and propensity to report. According to the results of the study, the number of articles related to Korea in the People's Daily has decreased since 2016, and the topic of articles has been in many political and social sectors. In 2016 and 2017, South Korea's decision to deploy THAAD led to a number of articles published in the military sector, and there were negative articles only in military articles. The majority of articles related to Korea in the People's Daily show that it describes Korea positively or objectively. In this regard, the People's Daily shows that it is building a positive image of Korea.

최근 가짜뉴스가 무분별하게 확산되면서 가짜뉴스로 인한 경제적, 사회적 비용이 커지고 있다. 하루에 발생하는 가짜뉴스는 방대하며, 실제 뉴스기사를 악의적으로 재생산 또는 언론사를 사칭하는 방식으로 유포되고 있다. 이를 구분하기 위한 연구가 많으나, 공인된 뉴스 기사인지에 대한 신뢰성 입증과 관련된 연구 논문은 매우 적은 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 가짜뉴스 문제를 해결하기 위해 뉴스 플랫폼에 블록체인을 적용, 공인된 뉴스 제공자가 기사 내용에 대한 Fingerprint를 블록체인에 기록하여 공인된 기사 내용에 대한 신뢰성을 검증하는 방안에 대해 제안한다.

The news media report the pledges of presidential candidates, which have important implications for political communication. This study is to investigate the difference between news coverage on the presidential candidate' s pledge and to discuss its implications. The sampled news from the two newspapers were analyzed for content analysis. Frequency analysis and Chi-square analysis are utilized with SPSS. As results, there was no difference in the tone of the article's headlines, but the difference of the tone between the article content was statistically significant. The results means that the media framing affect on the reader's perception. Follow - up study can be suggested a comparative study of past election candidates 'pledge reports, a network analysis for the news language, and a comparative analysis of newspaper coverage and broadcast coverage.
