Drought Analysis and Assessment by Using Land Surface Model on South Korea (지표수문해석모형을 활용한 국내 가뭄해석 적용성 평가)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the applicability of a Land Surface Model (LSM) for drought analysis in Korea. For evaluating the applicability of the model, the model was calibrated on several upper dam site watersheds and the hydrological components (runoff and soil moisture) were simulated over the whole South Korea at grid basis. After converting daily series of runoff and soil moisture data to accumulated time series (3, 6, 12 months), drought indices such as SRI and SSI are calculated through frequency analysis and standardization of accumulated probability. For evaluating the drought indices, past drought events are investigated and drought indices including SPI and PDSI are used for comparative analysis. Temporal and spatial analysis of the drought indices in addition to hydrologic component analysis are performed to evaluate the reproducibility of drought severity as well as relieving of drought. It can be concluded that the proposed indices obtained from the LSM model show good performance to reflect the historical drought events for both spatially and temporally. From this point of view, the LSM can be useful for drought management. It leads to the conclusion that these indices are applicable to domestic drought and water management.

  • This paper focuses on the document "Property Ledger of Dr. Rhee," which was a supplement to the Disposal of the Late Dr. Rhee's Property written by the secretarial office of the Cheongwadae (the Korean presidential residence) in 1970. The document contains a list of 311 items, including furnishings and artworks, once owned by President Syngman Rhee. The items had been in the collection of the Cheongwadae, but in February 1970 they were transferred to the family of the late President Rhee. The background for creating this list is as follows. After the April 19 Student Revolution in 1960, a survey was conducted of Rhee's movable assets, including artworks in his private residence Ihwajang. Their transfer to the National Museum was discussed at one point, but it was decided to use them at the Cheongwadae instead. In 1963, however, the transfer of these assets to the National Museum was ordered, and some duplications of the private possessions were sent to Ihwajang House. In 1970, furnishings and artworks stored at the Cheongwadae were also returned to Ihwajang House, and the "Property Ledger of Dr. Rhee" document was produced. This ledger lists works by artists from the Joseon period through the 1960s. It is difficult to identify each of these artworks since no photos are attached and the details provided are minimal. Nevertheless, this ledger is valuable in that the scale of artworks in the collection of the Gyeongmudae (the former name for the Cheongwadae) and Ihwajang House can be partially identified and in that it helps us understand how the issues surrounding the reversion of ownership of these artworks were resolved.

  • The microseismic monitoring system with wide range of frequency has been operating in real time and it is remotely monitored at indoor and on-site for one year. This system was constructed and established in order to secure the safe and effective operation of the KAERI Underground Research Tunnel(KURT). For one year monitoring work, total 14 events were recorded in the vicinity of the KURT, and the majority of events are regarded as ultramicroseismic earthquake and artificial impacts around the tunnel. The major event is the magnitude 3.4 earthquake which was centered around Gongju city, Chungnam Province. It means that there is no significant evidence of high frequency microseismic event, which is associated with fracture initiation and/or propagation in the rock mass and shotcrete. Three components sensor was applied in order to analyze and define the direction of vibration as well as an epicenter of microseismic origin, and also properly designed and installed in a small borehole. This monitoring system is able to predict the location and timing of fracturing of rock mass and rock fall around an undreground openings as well as analysis on safety of various kinds of engineering structures such as nuclear facilities and other structures.

  • Choice and use of color are very important field for designer. Present color sprang by central field of design business unlike past. Color is used mainly by three fields of sensitivity, administration, mind. But, do substantial design including all of three fields at use. Practical research field that is based on basic research when see as actuality of domestic color design is been behind real condition. Specially, color sensitivity field and color management field are very important field, it can speak that color name arid related area are most important among two. Because collar name includes sensitivity and color management. This research constructs correct data because investigate and analyze and search all compatible color names that is announced in existing or is recorded in public cosmopolitanly. As a result, it is to promise accuracy when produce creation of idea and result of design using color name. Examined laying stress on color that domestic data that is used in research is basis with Korean industrial Standard, connection literature, on-the-spot probe. International data investigated American ISCC-NBS to base. Other abroad color name data examined official data of each country all systematically with Japan, Europe. Findings about 11,000 basis color names and 33,000 application color names sorted collection. Collection method and classification system follow in international standard and arranged for user's tile convenience. Also, use frequency did laying stress on Munsell that is high color system so that can aid in industrial design business. Improved to write all international standard color values sue as RGB, CMYK, XYZ and can be applied all in each field of design. Is applying and get along with continuation improvement and development in homepage of present KIDP, it may become more worth research.

Analysis of Water Use Efficiency of Agricultural Reservoirs to Prepare for Drought (가뭄을 대비하기 위한 농업용 저수지의 용수이용 효율 분석)

  • 한국농어촌공사가 관리하고 있는 농업용저수지는 총 3,377개로 2015년 평균 저수율은 61 %를 기록하였는데, 이는 예년 평균 저수율51 %를 나타내고 있다. 1990년대 후반부터 우리나라에는 기후변화에 따른 온난화 추세를 나타내는 경향을 보이고 있고, 강수량 및 집중호우의 증가추세도 나타나고 있다. 기온과 강수량이 과거와 다른 변화를 보임에 따라 물 공급의 안정성을 확보하기 위해 저수지를 통한 수자원 확보가 이루어지고 있으나, 용수공급능력이 어떻게 변화할 것인지에 대한 정보가 부족한 상태이다. 또한, 논벼의 생육에 있어서 저수지의 적절한 용수공급은 필수적이기 때문에 저수지의 효율적 운영 및 용수이용의 효율적 분석이 필요하다. 최근까지 연구 조사에서 농업용수 이용 효율은 굉장히 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 농업용수 이용 효율의 개선을 위해서는 용수수급 특성을 조사 분석하고, 이에 따른 개선방안을 제시하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 가뭄 등 기상 재해에 대응하고 한정된 농촌용수를 합리적으로 관리하기 위해 대상지구에 대한 농업용수 이용 효율성을 분석하고자 한다. 대상지구는 경기도 화성의 버들저수지 관개지구, 중북 진천의 무수저수지 관개지구의 필요수량과 공급수량을 비교하였다. 필요수량은 HOMWRS를 이용하여 산정하였고, 공급수량은 해당지구의 저수지 운영일지, 양수장 가동일지를 바탕으로 산정하였다. 버들저수지 관개지구의 2008년~2015년 필요수량 및 공급량을 분석한 결과, 필요수량 산정량과 실제 공급수량의 비는 최대 230%에서 최소 110%을 나타냈고, 2008년~2010년의 경우 약 220% 이상의 관개수량이 공급된 것으로 조사되었다. 2014년 및 2015년의 경우 전국적인 극심한 가뭄의 영향으로 필요수량 대비 공급량이 90%정도로 낮아졌으나 공급량 부족은 발생하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 무수저수지 관개지구의 2008년~2015년 필요수량 및 공급량을 분석한 결과, 공급량과 필요수량의 비는 최소 170%에서 최대 250%로 나타났다. 특히, 2013년도에는 약 250%의 관개수량이 공급되어 초과공급량이 가장 많이 발생하였고, 분석기간 대부분의 년도에서 모두 약 200% 이상이 공급된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구와 비슷한 지역의 2010년~2015년의 연구 결과를 보면, 경기도 이동지구를 대상으로 공급량과 필요수량의 비는 170%를 공급하는 것으로 나타냈으며, 충북 백곡지구는 210%를 공급한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 대상지구의 필요수량 대비 공급량은 과거의 연구와 비슷한 공급율을 보였다. 그러므로 앞으로 극심한 가뭄에 대비하기 위한 효율적인 농업용수 관리방안을 수립할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

  • 1998년부터 운영 중인 보령댐은 충남 서부 8개 시군의 용수공급을 담당하고 있다. 그러나 보령댐의 용수수요는 지속적으로 늘어나 2015년 댐 용수공급능력의 92%에서 2022년에는 댐 용수공급능력의 98%로 늘어났으며, 최근 유입량은 2013년~2017년 및 2019년 평균유입량은 설계유입량의 58%에 불과한데다, 연속으로 적은 유입량이 기록되는 등 예전보다 가뭄에 취약해진 상황이다. 2015년에 가뭄에 대한 대응방식으로써 댐 용수공급조정기준이 마련되었는데, 이는 가뭄대응단계별 기준저수량을 도입하고, 각 대응단계별로 용수공급량을 조정하는 기준을 제시하고 있다. 이를 통해 보령댐 또한 '주의'단계에서 하천유지용수를 감량하고 있으며, '경계'단계에서는 농업용수감량과 더불어 보령댐도수로를 가동하는 것까지 시행하여 가뭄에 대응 중이다. 보령댐도수로의 시설용량은 2022년 용수수요의 40%인데, 보령댐 가뭄시 저수량 확보에 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 보령댐도수로는 '16년부터 매년 운영하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 보령댐은 반복된 유입량 부족으로 댐의 상시만수위까지 물을 채우지 못한채로 다음해를 맞이하게 되는 상황이 생겨 보령댐도수로를 보다 적극적으로 활용하는 방안이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 따라 '21년 12월 보령댐도수로 운영기준은 '경계'단계 저수량 미만에서 가동하는 것에서 '관심'단계 저수량 미만에서 가동하는 것으로 변경되었다. 2022년 현재의 용수수요로 기존 보령댐도수로 운영기준을 적용했을 경우와 개정 보령댐도수로 운영기준을 적용했을 경우를 비교하면, 전체 평가대상기간 8,401일(23년)중 가뭄대응기간은 도수로가 없을 경우는 3,419일, 기존 도수로 운영기준 적용시 3,005일, 개정 도수로 운영기준 적용시2,450일로 가뭄대응기간의 개선효과가 12%에서 28%로 향상되었다. 하천유지용수 감량기간은 도수로가 없을 경우는 3,299일, 기존 도수로 운영기준 적용시 2,615일, 개정 도수로 운영기준 적용시1,718일로 하천유지용수 감량기간의 개선효과가 21%에서 48%로 향상되었다. 또한 농업용수의 감량기간은 도수로가 없을 경우는 1,177일, 기존 도수로 운영기준 적용시 627일, 개정 도수로 운영기준 적용시 91일로 농업용수 감량기간의 개선효과가 47%에서 92%로 향상되었다. 그리고 생공용수의 감량기간을 비교해보면 도수로가 없을 경우는 1,714일, 기존 도수로 운영기준 적용시 332일, 개정 도수로 운영기준 적용시 0일로 생공용수 감량기간의 개선효과가 81%에서 100%로 대폭 향상되었다. 즉 보령댐 도수로 운영기준의 개정으로 보령댐은 가뭄시 보다 적극적인 대응이 가능하게 되었으며, 하천유지용수, 농업용수 및 생공용수의 공급이 보다 원활해지게 된 것이다.

  • Western style timber roof trusses used as typical roof structures of buildings during a modern period have been developed with the interactions with their facade and functionality. The shapes of trusses and member sizes have been diversely changed by the purposes of architects, historical circumstances, and structural characteristics. For this reason, the change in the shapes of western style timber trusses along the times is one of important technology assets demonstrating the development of their structures during the modern period. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out their structural characteristics throughout parametric analysis of which parameters were determined from the collected and classified documents on western style timber roof structure built in the modern period carefully obtained from public institutions. Results of the parametric analysis are as follows. The number of king-post trusses and modified king-post trusses built between 1920 and 1937 reaches almost half of the total number of truss types investigated. The mean values of their spans, distances, tributary areas, and height are respectively, 10.5m, 2.4m, $24.37m^2$and 3.24m. The cross-section areas of trusses tend to reduce since the city construction law was enacted in 1920. Also, this study found that western architects usually used larger structural members than eastern architects and usages and finishing materials of roof trusses are not always considered as one of the important design parameters.

A Fundamental Study on the Database of Response History for Historical Earthquake Records on the Korean Peninsula (한반도 과거 지진기록에 대한 응답이력 데이터베이스 구축 기초 연구)

  • The 9.12 earthquake (2016.9.12., ML=5.8) and Pohang (2017.11.15., ML=5.4) caused social and economic damage, resulting in a greater public interest in earthquakes than in the past. In the U.S., Japan and Chile, which have high frequency of earthquakes, infrastructure facilities are already managed based on probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) and ground motion prediction equation (GMPE) to prepare for and respond to seismic disasters. In South Korea, the aforementioned PSHA and GMPE models have been developed independently through individual researchers. However, the limited disclosure of basic data, calculation methods, and final results created during the model development poses a problem of deploying new data without updating the earthquake that occurs every year. Therefore, this paper describes how to create flatfile, which is the basic data of GMPE, and how to process for seismic waves, and how to create intensity measures.

  • Although it is about a decade since public libraries started to provide digital information services, lack of expertise for efficient service operation and restrictions related to copyrights have led to failure to obtain remarkable performances in uses. This study intends to analyze operation cases of domestic and overseas collaborative digital information services, as well as the current status of digital information services of libraries in Gyeonggido, thereby developing a collaborative digital information service model among public libraries on the level of local governments. This research then analyzed collaborative digital information service Web sites and surveys. Based on the analysis result, this study presented support of integrated search of possessed electronic information, Web database (DB), DB on original texts of regional records, online reference services, and mobile platforms as functional factors to embody a successful service model. As a system management road map, an eclectic model combining the merits of centralized and decentralized models was found to be more effective than a centralized or decentralized model in consideration of the characteristics of participating organizations.

  • We construct the test process site about X-Internet and X-Forms base software. This software is developed with X-Forms base web UI tool. Basically, this software is operated on the Client. Even in operating process, this kind of software could be updated because of user's request, improvement in efficiency, reformation and addition in functions and so on. In order to test a updated software, V-Model will be extended and transformed test process will be proposed. This proposed test process is starting with test plan which defines test object and activities for attainment of process's goal. The following steps are recognizing testcase and data, analysis and design for constructing process environment, setting forth testcase in detail, realization of test methodology, and the arrangement of results. This paper will be helpful to build more efficient process site by managing and recording the test process.
