우리나라 동천구곡의 지형경관 (The Geomorphological Features of Dongcheon-gugok in Korea)

  • 동천구곡은 자연지형과 인간 심성활동의 결합체이다. 본 논문은 동천구곡의 장소성과 경관 이미지를 구성하는 기본요소인 지형경관의 특성에 대하여 조사 확인한 결과를 정리한 것이다. 우리나라 동천구곡은 주로 태백산맥과 소백산맥의 산지 지역에 주로 입지 분포하며, 이는 인근에 위치한 양반의 계거촌과 관련이 있다. 동천구곡이 자리 잡은 지역의 기반암 특성이 지형경관 특성에 크게 영향을 미치는데, 우리나라에서는 화강암과 퇴적암 경관이 이를 가장 대표한다. 우리나라 동천구곡은 산지 내부를 흐르는 곡류하도에 주로 입지하여, 곡류하도 주변에 나타나는 다양한 지형요소들이 주요 경관을 이루고 있다. 이러한 주요 지형요소로는 봉우리, 소규모 평탄면, 토르, 수직절벽, 폭포, 여울, 소, 포인트바, 그리고 너럭바위, 거력, 암설사력퇴, 마식된 암반하상과 포트홀 등이 있다. 이를 동천구곡에서는 대(臺) 암(巖) 봉(峰) 벽(璧) 벼리(遷) 학(壑) 반석(盤石) 천(泉) 폭(瀑) 담(潭) 연(淵) 추(湫) 소(沼) 천(川) 탄(灘) 등으로 칭한다.

엉덩관절 폄 시 무릎 굴곡 각도에 따른 큰볼기근과 뒤넙다리근의 근수축 개시시간 특성 (Muscle Contraction Onset Time Characteristics of Gluteus Maximus and Hamstring According to Knee Flexion Angles During Prone Hip Extension)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscle contraction onset time characteristics of the gluteus maximus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris muscles at different knee flexion angles in individuals with shortened or over-lengthened hamstrings performing prone hip extension. Methods: Twenty-six participants were divided into a hamstring shortened group (n = 12) and hamstring lengthened group (n = 14). Wireless surface electromyography was used to verify the muscle onset time of the gluteus maximus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris when performing prone hip extension at different knee flexion angles. Results: There were significant differences in the muscle onset times of the semitendinosus and biceps femoris between the hamstring shortened group and hamstring lengthened group (p < 0.05). In addition, there was a significant difference in the muscle contraction onset times among of the gluteus maximus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris muscles when performing prone hip extension at a knee flexion of 90° in the hamstring shortened group (p < 0.05) and a knee flexion angle of 0° in the hamstring lengthened group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: In all groups, there was no effect on the onset time of the gluteus maximus muscle according based on the knee angle. In addition, the knee flexion angles affected the onset time of the muscle contraction of the gluteus maximus muscle in the hamstring shortened group and hamstring lengthened group with an abnormal length of the hamstring muscle.

  • Background: Muscle activities of gluteus maximus (GM) and hamstring (HAM) have important roles in the stability and mobility of the hip joint during various functional activities including bridge and prone hip extension exercises. Objects: The purpose of this study is to investigate muscle activities of GM, multifidus (MF) and HAM during three different bridge exercises in healthy individuals. Methods: Twenty healthy subjects were participated. Electromyography device was used to measure muscle activities of GM, MF and HAM. Each subject was asked to perform three different bridge exercises with hip abduction (0°, 15°, 30°) in random order. One-way repeated measures analysis of the variance and a Bonferroni post hoc test were used. Statistical significance was set at α = 0.01. Results: The muscle activity of GM was significantly different among three conditions (hip abduction 0°, 15°, 30°) (adjusted p-value [Padj] < 0.01). The muscle activity of GM was significantly greater during bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° compared to 0° and 15° (Padj < 0.01). There was no significant difference in the muscle activity of MF and HAM muscle (Padj > 0.01). The ratio of muscle activity (ratio = GM/HAM) during bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° was significant greater compared to the hip abduction angles 0° and 15° (Padj < 0.01). Conclusion: Bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° can be recommended to selectively facilitate the muscle activity of GM and improve the ratio of muscle activity between GM and HAM.

슬링을 이용한 중간볼기근 강화훈련이 만성 발목 불안정성을 가진 20대 성인의 발목 불안정성, 균형, 근력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Gluteus Medius Strengthening Training Using Sling on Ankle Instability, Muscle Strength, Balance in Adults in Their 20s with Chronic Ankle Instability)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ankle strengthening exercise combined with sling-assisted gluteus medius strengthening on ankle instability score, and static and dynamic balance ability, muscle strength in adults in their 20s with chronic ankle instability. Methods : Twenty-eight adults in their 20s with chronic ankle instability were recruited. After screening test, they were randomized through R studio program as an experimental group (n=14) to apply an ankle strengthening exercise combined with sling-assisted gluteus medius strengthening and a control group (n=14) to apply ankle strengthening exercise. The intervention lasted two times a week for 6 weeks. To compare the intervention effects, the Cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT) score, static and dynamic balance ability, and muscle strength of lower extremities were measured. Results : The experimental group showed a significant increase in pre and post-intervention Cumberland ankle instability tool (CAIT) score, static and dynamic balance ability, and muscle strengt (p<.05). The control group showed a significant increase in pre and post-intervention CAIT score, dynamic balance ability, and muscle strength (p<.05). The experimental group showed a significant increase in CAIT score, dynamic balance ability, and muscle strength compared to the control group (p<.05), and showed a high effect size. Conclusions : The results of this study confirmed that ankle strengthening exercise combined with sling-assisted gluteus medius strengthening on people with chronic ankle instability the possibility that it could be effective in improving ankle instability and improving dynamic balance ability, and strength by movement. Although additional research is needed to increase the number of participants due to the small sample size, it is hoped that this study will be an optimistic clinical protocol for people with chronic ankle instability.

한다리 스쿼트 시 중간볼기근의 생체되먹임 훈련이 동적 균형에 미치는 즉각적인 효과 (Immediate Effect of Biofeedback Training of Gluteus Medius on Dynamic Balance during Single Leg Squat)

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the immediate effects of electromyography (EMG) biofeedback training of the gluteus medius on dynamic balance during single leg squats in healthy individuals. Methods: The sample size in this study was estimated using the G-power program at an effect size of 0.4, a significance level (α) of 0.05, and a testing power of 0.90. In addition, as a result of considering the 10% dropout rate, this study recruited 21 healthy individuals (8 males and 13 females). All subjects measured the Y-balance test-lower quarter (YBT-LQ) and limits of stability (LOS) before and after a single leg squat (SLS) and SLS with EMG biofeedback training of the gluteus medius (SLSEB). They were trained for 10 minutes for each exercise, and two dynamic balance tests were performed three times. Results: There was a significant difference in the YBT-LQ score between the two exercises (p < 0.05). In the YBT-LQ score, there was a significant difference before and after SLS and SLSEB (p < 0.05). SLSEB showed a significantly higher YBT-LQ score than SLS (p < 0.05). There was a significant difference in LOM between the two exercises (p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the two exercises. Conclusion: A single-leg squat with EMG biofeedback exercises is an effective method to improve dynamic balance, such as the YBT-LQ.

웅천천 유역에 나타나는 지형선구조의 구조지형학적 특성 (Charateristics of Morphological Lineament in Woongcheon River-basin and its Morphotectonic Significance)

  • 연구지역인 웅천천 유역은 차령산지의 남서쪽 말단부에 위치하여 황해와 맞닿아 있다. 본 연구는 지형 규모의 연계성 차원에서 차령산지에 발달한 지형선구조 체계가 국지적 시야의 연구지역 지형경관에 나타나는 바를 확인하여 기술·설명하고자 한다. 연구지역에서 확인되는 주요 지형선구조는 NE-SW, NNE-SSW, NNW-SSE, N-S, E-W 등의 방향이며, 그 중 NNE-SSW, NE-SW방향 선구조가 지형경관에 가장 뚜렷하게 반영되어 인식할 수 있다. 주요 산체와 곡지는 NNE-SSW 방향성을 지니며, NE-SW방향의 선구조 곡지는 비교적 규모가 크고, 저기복 구릉, 산록단구, 하안단구, 범람원 등의 다양한 지형요소가 발달하는 곳이 많다. 반면 NNW-SSE, N-S, E-W 방향 선구조 곡지는 대체로 좁고 깊지 않은 곡지로 나타나지만 선구조는 선명하게 유지하고 있다. 또한 연구지역의 선구조 곡지의 규모와 곡지를 흐르는 하천 차수 간에는 상관성이 없다.

엎드려 무릎관절 굽힘 자세에서 엉덩관절 폄 동작 시 무게 부하 변화에 따른 큰볼기근과 넙다리두갈래근의 두께 비교 (A Comparison of Gluteus Maximus Muscle and Biceps Femoris Muscle Thickness According to Weight Load during Prone Hip Extension with Knee Flexion Exercises)

  • Purpose: This study set out to investigate the effects of prone hip extension with knee flexion (PHEKF) exercises according to external load on the thickness of the gluteus maximus (Gmax) and biceps femoris (BF). Methods: Twenty-three healthy men participated in this study. All subjects randomly practiced PHEKF under the burden of external loads created by sandbags (0 kg, 1 kg, and 2 kg). Rehabilitative ultrasound imaging (RUSI) was used to measure the thickness of the Gmax and BF during the PHEKF with different external loads. Results: The thickness of the Gmax was highest during the 2 kg resistance exercise and lowest at 0 kg. The thickness of the Gmax was significantly increased at 1 kg and 2 kg compared to 0 kg and significantly increased at from 1 kg to 2 kg (p < 0.05). The thickness of the biceps femoris was highest at 0 kg and lowest at 2 kg. The thickness of the biceps femoris muscle was significantly reduced at 1 kg and 2 kg compared to 0 kg (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between 1 kg and 2 kg (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The thickness of the Gmax was increased by applying PHEKF with a higher external load, whereas the muscle thickness of the biceps femoris decreased. These results suggest that the application of external loads during PHEKF exercises may be an effective method for selective strengthening of the Gmax.

아시아 기부 문화에 필요한 창조적 파괴 (Creative Destruction in the Culture of Charity is Needed in Asia)

  • 세계가 점점 더 통합됨에 따라 자선단체는 국내 문제 뿐만 아니라 빈곤, 기근, 자연 재해 등 세계 전역에서 일어나는 문제들을 다루게 되었다. 국제적으로 많은 조직들이 도움을 제공하고 이러한 문제들을 완화시키기 위해 노력하고 있지만, Jusoor, Karam Foundation, Save the Children, 그리고 Oxfam 등 대부분의 자선단체들이 서구사회에 기초하고 있다. 이 논문은 동양과 서양 두 지역 사이에 기부 문화 불균형이 존재하는 이유를 분석한다. 이 논문은 지역적 차이를 설명하면서 자선 재단에 대한 아시아인들의 뿌리 깊은 불신과 아시아에서의 자선 기부를 장려하는 정부 정책의 부재, 그리고 추세를 형성하는 다른 여러 사회적, 경제적, 정치적 요인에 특히 초점을 맞추고 있다. 아시아가 세계의 다른 지역에 비해 자선 문화에서 왜, 그리고 얼마나 크게 뒤처지는지를 분석한 결과, 이 논문은 아시아 자선 시장에 "창조적 파괴"가 필요하다는 것을 증명한다. 더 나아가 이 논문은 혁신적인 신생 기업이 새로운 형태의 기술, 즉 등록 파트너쉽 기반을 갖춘 접근하기 쉬운 애플리케이션을 도입하여 정기적으로 앱 사용자들의 기부금 사용처와 금액을 업데이트함으로써 아시아 자선 사업의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있다고 제안한다. 이러한 새로운 형태의 기술은 아시아의 자선 문화를 둘러싼 다른 문제들을 다루는 데 또한 도움이 될 것이다.

중간볼기근 강화운동을 포함한 가정운동 재활 프로그램이 발목기능 및 삶의 질 향상에 미치는 영향: 무작위 대조 실험 (The Effects of Home-Exercise Rehabilitation Program with Gluteus-Medius Strengthening Exercise on the Ankle Function and Quality of Life: Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ankle strengthening and proprioceptor exercise, including gluteus-medius strengthening exercise, on ankle strength, dynamic and static balance, ankle function, and quality of life in 24 adults without ankle instability. Methods: After randomly classifying 12 people per group into the experimental group and the control group, Home-exercise rehabilitation program was conducted for a total of 2 weeks. The control group performed ankle strengthening and proprioceptor exercise 5 times a week for 15 minutes, and the experimental group was performed by adding 15 minutes of gluteus-medius strengthning exercise to the exercise performed by the control group. The SPSS 27.0 program was used for statistical analysis. Results: Both groups showed statistically significant differences in the plantar flexion muscle strength, Y-Balance test, side hop test, quality of life. But, only experimental group showed statistically significant differences dorsi-flexion muscle strength and hip abduction muscle strength. There was no statistical difference in comparison of difference values between groups. Conclusion: These exercises can provide useful home rehabilitation programs for sports populations seeking to prevent injury in sports.

변형된 엉치엉덩관절 테이핑의 요통 효과 사례보고 (The effect of Modified Sacroiliac Joint Taping on Back pain_A case report)

  • 본 연구는 엉치엉덩관절의 불안정성에 초점을 맞춘 테이핑 방법이 요통에 도움이 될 수 있는 잠재 중재 방법인지에 대해 고려해 보고자 한 사례연구이다. 해당 사례는 58세 과거 디스크탈출증 및 협착증으로 인해 허리 수술 병력이 있는 남성이 지속적인 통증 감소를 위해 참여한 테이핑 교육 세션에서 나타난 주목할 만한 결과를 사례로 정리하였다. 중재 방법으로 테잎을 엉치뼈 2~4사이에 가시결절로부터 양쪽으로 80%< 장력으로 늘려 엉치엉덩관절을 지나게 붙이고 이후 끝 쪽은 양쪽 약 45° 방향으로 올려 중간볼기근(gluteus medius m.) 쪽으로 향하게 붙였다. 그 다음 엉덩뼈능선(iliac crest)로부터 척추기립근을 따라 10번째 갈비뼈 수준까지 이르는 양쪽 테이핑 방법이 적용되었다. 해당 중재를 통해 VAS와 ODI 두 검사도구로부터 VAS는 5에서 0, 장애지수는 13에서 0으로 각각 기록되는 긍정적 사례 결과를 관찰할 수 있었다.
