The Republic of Korea Navy has deployed naval fleets in the East, West, and South seas to effectively respond to threats from North Korea and its neighbors. However, it is difficult to allocate proper missions due to high uncertainties, such as the year of introduction for the ship, the number of mission days completed, arms capabilities, crew shift times, and the failure rate of the ship. For this reason, there is an increasing proportion of expenses, or mission alerts with high fatigue in the number of workers and traps. In this paper, we present a simulation model that can optimize the assignment of naval vessels' missions by using a continuous time absorbing Markov chain that is easy to model and that can analyze complex phenomena with varying event rates over time. A numerical analysis model allows us to determine the optimal mission durations and warship quantities to maintain the target operating rates, and we find that allocating optimal warships for each mission reduces unnecessary alerts and reduces crew fatigue and failures. This model is significant in that it can be expanded to various fields, not only for assignment of duties but also for calculation of appropriate requirements and for inventory analysis.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, it is rapidly changing from face-to-face to non-face-to-face work environments and is changing to a digital work environment that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, providing convenience to all lives. However, the number of breaches, personal information leakage, and technology leakage targeting SMEs that are vulnerable to security continues to increase. Accordingly, the government has been continuously promoting the information security consulting support project for SMEs every year since 2014. Therefore, this study intends to develop a performance model and measurement methodology for continuous and more systematic support and efficient management of information protection support projects in consideration of the importance of information security for SMEs. It is intended to be used as basic data when setting future operational directions and goals. The main method of this study is to derive performance models and indicators for SME information security support projects based on domestic literature, case studies, and survey results, utilize expert advice to verify the developed performance measurement indicators, and use pilot-test questionnaires. Conduct evaluation through surveys. Based on the verified indicators, we would like to present a performance model and measurement index for the information security support project for SMEs.

As the systematic management of knowledge within an organization is recognized as a core factor for the continuous growth of an organization, organizations are increasing their interest in knowledge management. Knowledge management requires the active sharing of knowledge by insiders of the organization, but there are cases of failure due to the lack of participation of leaders and employees of the organization. The purpose of this study is to suggest a mechanism by which the authentic leadership of leaders in small and medium-sized enterprises(SME), which are relatively lacking in knowledge production capacity, leads to intention to share knowledge of employees. In addition, the study confirms that reciprocal feedback and task interdependence moderate the relationship between antecedent factors and intention to share knowledge. In this study, a research model was derived based on precedent research, and 272 samples were obtained by conducting a questionnaire survey on employees of SME that introduced a knowledge management policy. And, the study verified the hypothesis by applying structural equation modeling based on AMOS 22.0. The results of the study proved that authentic leadership has a positive effect on the intention to share knowledge through organization identification and organization commitment, and confirmed that reciprocal feedback and work interdependence moderate the relationship between knowledge sharing intentions and antecedent factors. This study suggests the mechanism by which the authentic behavior of the leaders of SMEs affects the knowledge sharing behavior of employees, and suggests that work cooperation strengthens the influence of the mechanism.

This study aimed to investigate parents' and dentists' perceptions of the national oral health screening for infants and children (OHS), and evaluate the dentists' accuracy of analyzing the results of OHS. A questionnaire survey was conducted, face-to-face or online, for 90 parents of children who received OHS in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Yonsei University Dental Hospital and 100 dentists working at local clinic or university dental hospital from May to October 2021. Most parents and dentists were aware of the importance of OHS, and approximately 96.7% of parents were satisfied with OHS. The requirements of parents and dentists about OHS were different. The reasons for having difficulties in explaining parents after OHS and the opinions on appropriate period and number of OHS were disagreed between pediatric dentists and general dentists. Regardless of dentists' major, work experience, elapsed period after taking online education program, the accuracy of the examination result was low. In this study, various opinions of parents and dentists on OHS were collected. Efforts should be made to enhance the oral health of infants and children by considering the requirements of parents and dentists and improving the accuracy of examination results.
This study investigates the recommendation for tax accounting services used in many companies. In particular, it aims to create guidelines for small businesses with fewer than 100 employees, which are relatively difficult to manage in terms of cost or time. We surveyed 100 corporate officials on basic business information, such as the number of employees, job titles, and business type, as well as the type of tax accounting service, the recommended score for the service, the reason for the score, and other opinions related to tax accounting services. In particular, the recommendation score seeks to obtain more effective results by using the Net Promoter Score method, which is known to be more effective in understanding customer opinions than general customer satisfaction surveys. The survey revealed a Net Promoter Score for a recommendation of -33 points, lower than the general Net Promoter Score. It also indicated that tax accounting services need improvement. Specifically, the opinions of the respondents who gave a non-recommendation score were as follows: "Not inconvenient or comfortable," "It was just okay," "I don't know if it would be helpful," and "There is no differentiation and there are no special alternatives." We concluded that an improved service for raising recommendation scores was necessary. This survey focused on recommendations for companies with fewer than 100 employees; future studies should incorporate larger companies and more variables.
More than 2 million foreigners were staying in Korea. In this study, the effect of individual and environmental characteristics of foreign workers on organizational commitment was empirically analyzed. A research model for empirical analysis was established. A research model was established independent variables by dividing them into four parts: personal desire, adaptability, organizational life, and social support and setting organizational commitment as dependent variables. Based on this research model, data collection for analysis was conducted in a survey method for foreign workers in Korea. An empirical analysis was conducted using SPSS 24 based on 200 valid sample of the respondents. The results of the empirical analysis were as follows. First, it was found that foreign workers' desire for achievement, language adaptability, relationships with supervisors and colleagues, future vision of jobs, and social support had a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment. On the other hand, the significant influence relationship of cultural adaptability was not tested. Second, factors that significantly affect organizational commitment was in the order of social support, relationships with supervisors and colleagues, future vision of jobs, language adaptability, and desire for achievement. Based on these research results, academic implications were presented, and practical implications were presented to increase the organizational commitment of foreign workers.
Purpose As part of ongoing efforts to improve the current e-learning center, a survey was conducted regarding user experience and satisfaction to identify areas of improvement. Materials and Methods Radiologists (n = 454/617) and radiology residents (n = 163/617) of the Korean Society of Radiology were asked to answer a survey via email. The questionnaire asked for basic user information as well as user experiences relating to the e-learning center, such as workplace, frequency of use, overall satisfaction levels, reasons for satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and other suggestions for improvement. Results Annual members and all members of the e-learning center reported above average satisfaction levels of 67% and 42%, respectively. Approximately 30% of respondents viewed e-learning center lectures more than 5 times a month, with residents having a particularly high usage frequency. There was a high demand for additional lectures covering more diverse specialties (e-learning for annual members only: n = 28/97, e-learning for all members: n = 72/166), a smoother and more convenient searching platform/interface (n = 37/97 and n = 58/166, respectively), and regular content updates. In addition, many of the members suggested the addition of user-friendly functions such as playback speed control, a way to save viewing history, as well as requests for improved system stability. Conclusion Based on survey results, the educational committee plans to continue its efforts to improve the e-learning center by increasing the quality and quantity of available lectures, and increasing technical support to improve the stability and convenience of the e-learning digital system.
Purpose: This study was designed to understand the doctor's attitude toward hospice and palliative care for terminal cancer patients. Methods: Specialists who work at general hospital were surveyed with questionnaires about hospice and palliative care for terminal cancer patients. The questionnaires comprise 17 items. The data were statistically analyzed. Results: Eighty one doctors responded. Their median age was 35 years old. Thirty six doctors (44.4%) were from internal medicine. The median of specialist's experience was 4 years. Forty three respondents (53.2%) have rarely examined and treated cancer patients even a week. Thirty seven respondents (45.6%) knew the exact definition of hospice and palliative care. Eighty respondents (98.8%) felt that hospice and palliative care is necessary, and 91.2% of them responded the necessity of palliative medicine specialist. As to the question 'Do you positively referred terminal cancer patient to hospice and palliative care?', 55 respondents (67.9%) responded 'Yes' and 22 (27.2%) 'No'. Among the 'Yes' respondents 17 (30.9%) had an experience of hesitation for referring patients to hospice and palliative care; the most common reason was the disagreement of family members (6, 35.3%). As for the reasons of responding 'No', 6 doctors (27.2%) did so because of their 'feeling of abandoning the patients' and the other f for the 'lack of information on the referral procedure for hospice and palliative care'. Thirty seven specialists (45.7%) thought it is most desirable for the patients to have hospice and palliative care for 3 months before death. Fifty eight specialists (71.6%) responded that hospice and palliative care help controlling the patient's psychological symptoms before all. Conclusion: While most doctors recognize the need of hospice and palliative care for patients with terminal ranter, their attitude toward hospice and palliative care was rather reserved. We suggest that continuing education, information and promotion for hospice and palliative care should be provided for doctors.

It has been about 30 years since women students entered the Maritime College at Mokpo National Maritime University (MMU) and Korea Maritime & Ocean University to train as maritime seafarers. The women have been choosing a maritime college regardless of the Boarding Service Reserve System. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously study the motivation for admission, preferences for boarding, and desired career paths to guide the distinction and vision of maritime colleges. Accordingly, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on 93 women students attending the Maritime College at MMU. Of the respondents, 35.5 % said that they enrolled to become maritime officials and 30.1 % to become maritime seafarers. In addition to the current training for maritime seafarers, additional courses are required to train maritime experts. The study found that 88.2 % of the respondents thought that women's embarkation was more difficult than usual. It is considered that a systematic education program is needed for the onboard life of women maritime seafarers in schools and shipping companies. It was found that 69.6 % of the respondents preferred to embark as seafarers after graduation. After graduating from university, 32.3 % of the respondents said that they preferred to become navigation officers or engineers. It was also found that 24.7 % preferred to become marine-related civil servants / professionals, and 18.3 % preferred to become marine police. From the total, 83.9 % hoped for careers in marine-related fields. It is, therefore, necessary to organize courses and further education according to the motives for admission and preferred occupations of women students.

This study was conducted on 4th and 5th grade elementary school students in Daegu, Korea for the purpose of promoting health and proper dietary habits. A children food safety education program was developed and its effects evaluated on 4th and 5th graders (3,932 students for 4th year, 4,438 students for 5th year) at 46 elementary schools, which were under the jurisdiction of the four educational bureaus of Daegu city. Education was conducted in accordance with an education design plan, of which there were two goals, including know the contents of 'special act on children's dietary life safety management' and 'practice proper hand-washing'. 'Special act on children's dietary life safety management' was explained, and the education curriculum included proper hand-washing for prevention of food poisoning, quality certification mark on children's favorite foods, harmful foods such as unsanitary and adulterated foods, and green food zone. Flash songs, PowerPoint, 'glitter burger' notice note, and banner were used as education media. It was found that the awareness level of items related to 'special act on children's dietary life safety management' increased significantly after education (p<0.001). 'Necessity of nutrition education and children's food safety' also increased significantly (p<0.05) after education. Lastly, children answered that they washed their hands more often after education (62.9%) than before (60.7%).
