Outliers distort many measures for data analysis. We can propose dandelion seed plot as a graphical tool for evaluating the effect of outliers in one-and two-variate data. We can draw mean-variance dandelion seed plots using linked curves which are made by changing weights from 1 to 0 for each datum. Similarly we can also draw covariance-correlation-coefficient dandelion seed plots. This graphical method can be a useful tool for elementary statistics education in college.

A Korean standardized set of pictures has been called for as more and more studies utilized picture stimuli among memory and representation research. This article presents a Korean standardized set of pictures for studies probing the cognitive mechanisms that underlie picture and word processing or studies that simply utilize pictures stimuli. This norm provides 213 pictures, data on several variables such as name agreement, appropriateness of pictures. and familiarity. Previous data on such variables as frequency. category. and frequency within a category have been integrated 1 into this norm. Limitation, usage. and application of this set are discussed in terms of 1 implicit and explicit memory, and those variables mentioned previously.

The aim of this study is to develop multimedia courseware which can make studying picture map interesting in a more concrete and three-dimensional situation by using multimedia materials such as graphics, animation, and moving images, which breaks from the past teaching methods for picture map. The multimedia courseware used in this research can help learners understand the concept on picture map in a much easier way, and study wherever and whenever they want to. In addition, students can pass through the levels up according to their levels through the process of students' constructing the knowledge by themselves and individualized materials which can enhance their desire to learn and make the individualized learning possible.

Objective: The purpose of the study was to investigate the current status of early childhood teachers' picture book reading activities and their knowledge and utilization of the picture book peritexts. Methods: The subjects were 276 early childhood teachers in Seoul metropolitan area. The survey was conducted to investigate early childhood teachers' current status of picture book reading activities as well as their knowledge and utilization of picture book peritexts. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 21.0 program to analyze descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage. Results: As results, most early childhood teachers recognized that reading picture books to young children was very important and responded that the purpose of reading picture books was to develop children's imagination and creativity. In terms of early childhood teachers' knowledge on 12 peritexts, some peritexts such as 'title', 'cover' and 'title page' were recognized at high level but other peritexts such as typography and layout were at low level. In addition, early childhood teachers' utilization level of peritexts were shown as relatively low compared to their knowledge level. Conclusion/Implications: The study results imply that early childhood teachers need to be informed of the concepts of picture book peritexts and encouraged to utilize peritexts while reading picture books to young children.

Subject headings support the effective access of children's picture books. However, it is difficult to select subject terms from titles or table of contents in children's picture books because of their relatively little textual information. Therefore, it is necessary to assign subject terms to each picture book. However, it is not adequate to use general subject headings because the types and levels of general subject headings are different from special subject headings for the children's materials. For this reason, this study aims to develop subject headings for children's picture books. The subject terms in A to Zoo were selected, and the selected terms were translated into Korean and modified for the Korean culture and language. Other reference books, such as Elementary Korean Dictionary, were also used to determine adequate terms for children. The resulting subject headings were assigned to the recommended picture books for children and used to search by subject, browse, and recommend books.

Cats used to be long avoided in Korean culture due to prejudices on their negative implications, yet they are increasingly being favoured by domestic readers along with a growing number of cat lovers, picture books, essays and webtoons. In the case of Yoko Sano's work, half of her published books in Korea depicts cats. Among those is 'The Cat That Lived a Million Times' which is a worldwide million seller. The research analyses five picture books on cats published in Korea, focusing on finding out symbolic representation of cats other than merely being the protagonist of the book. Sano asserts that we respect our own free well and love ourselves just as cats do in her books. In conclusion, cats in Sano's work mostly represent the author herself, which are sometimes depicted as mother and son. The colours and thick outlines of her cats, unlike tender characteristics, describes self-righteous strong personality, while emphasising both static and dynamic movements.

Wittgenstein presents so-called picture theory in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. What is, then, the point of the picture theory? What are the philosophical problems which the picture theory tries to solve? In this paper, I will endeavor to show that the object of a picture is different from the sense of a picture, that the representing relation is different from the projective relation, that picture theory is applied to composite propositions as well as elementary propositions and that on the one hand the basic problems that picture theory tries to solve are problem of theory of meaning and that of theory of truth, but on the other hand the more important problem is what Wittgenstein calls "the mystery of negation." From these discussions, we can see that it is not correct at all to interpret that the picture theory in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus is nothing but an analogy which does not have a significant content.

The purpose of this study was to explore whether PPAT drawing using an application can be developed on digital devices for game addicts. The PPAT drawing test is useful and reliable for verifying problem-solving skills in how people pick apples. As a result of this study, the over-immersion group scored lower than the average user group in the "problem Solving" category of the PPAT drawing test using the PPAT drawing applicaion on digital devices, and expressed by not reaching for apples, or by picking apples without reasonable support. The findings in this study suggest that the PPAT drawing test application on digital devices has significantly demonstrated its original purpose of 'problem resolution', as well as future psychotherapeutic interventions for Internet over-immersion subjects as well as users who are familiar with digital devices.

우리는 유클리드 공간에서 그림 데이터의 평균화 분산을 이용한 비선형 변환을 이용하여, 그림 데이터에서 최인접검색(nearest neighbor search)을 빠르게 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 기존의 평균과 분산을 이용한 최인접검색 알고리즘은 고차원 그림 데이터를 그보다 낮은 차원의 유클리드 공간의 데이터로 변환하고, 낮은 차원에서의 비교를 통해 최인접검색의 해가 될 수 없는 그림 데이터를 빠르게 제외하는 방법을 사용한다. 우리는 기존의 방법이 균일하게 나누어지는 크기의 그림 데이터에서만 가능하던 기존방법에 대한 해결책을 이 논문에서 제시하여 일반적인 그림 데이터에서도 평균과 분산을 이용하는 최인접검색을 가능하게 한다.

어린이 그림책의 효과적인 주제접근을 위해서는 주제명의 부여가 필수적이다. 그러나 어린이 그림책은 표제나 목차 등 자료 자체에서 주제명을 발췌하기가 어렵다. 또한 일반도서를 위한 주제명표를 그대로 사용하기도 적합하지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 어린이 그림책을 위한 별도의 주제명표를 개발하였다. 주제명표 개발을 위해서는 영미권의 그림책 주제명표를 참고하였으며, 이 과정에서 우리 문화와 언어에 맞도록 기존의 표목을 수정.추가하였다. 또한 그림책의 주요 독자층인 어린이에게 적합한 표목을 선정하기 위해 초등국어사전 등을 참고하였다. 그리고 시범적으로 구축된 주제명표를 어린이도서연구회의 추천그림책을 대상으로 적용하였다. 앞으로는 지속적인 주제명 부여 작업을 통해 주제명표를 정련하고, 그림책의 주제분석을 위한 지침을 추가적으로 제공할 필요가 있을 것이다.
