Concrete Class Plan for a Statistical Project of 5th Graders in Elementary School Using Infographics (인포그래픽을 활용한 초등학교 5학년 통계 프로젝트 수업의 구체화 방안)

  • The 2015 revised mathematics curriculum encourages students to use graphs in newspapers and the Internet as materials when teaching graphs, and to experience a series of statistical problem-solving processes that collect, classify, organize, graph and interpret data. The graphs that the students learn through traditional textbooks were a single type of graphs. In particular, the graphs of the 5th and 6th grade groups were only increased in numbers, but the basic concepts were repeated in the 3rd and 4th grades. Fortunately, from the 2009 revision curriculum, it is possible to select the graph suitable for the situation while comparing the characteristics of some graphs. In most cases, the graphs used in the real world are presented in the form of a compounded infographics. The purpose of this study is to analyze and analyze the manifestations of information processing competence elements emphasized in the 2015 revised curriculum through the statistical project class using the informal graphic in the fifth grade of elementary school. And we suggested a concrete class plan.

  • As modern computer graphics technology has been developed, it is hard to discriminate computer graphics from photographic images with the naked eye. Advances in graphics technology has brought a lot of convenience to human, it has side effects such as image forgery, malicious edit and fraudulent means. In order to cope with such problems, studies of various algorithms using a feature that represents a characteristic of an image has been processed. In this paper, we verify directly the existing algorithm, and provide new features based a noise that represents the characteristics of the computer graphics well. And this paper introduces the method of using SVM(Support Vector Machine) with features proposed in previous research to improve the discrimination accuracy.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a new type of RGB lighting pipeline that can save time in animation production. After identifying the problems of the current method, the researchers studied 8 steps through new methods and comparative analysis. A method of implementing a graphic image lighting effect by the RGB lighting pipeline according to the current method is to create a render layer for each light set and a set of digital light separated by texture, Three types of written information can be stored in one layer and graphic image, and the accuracy and precision of color correction can be improved. Through this study, we propose the new and improved RGB lighting pipeline according to the characteristics of the work and the industries.

  • Most statistical methods are dependent on the summary statistic. However, with graphical approaches, it is easier to identify the characteristics of the data and detect information that cannot be obtained by the summary statistic. We present various graphical methods to assess the adequacy of models in logistic regression that include checking log-density ratio, structural dimension, marginal model plot, chi-residual plot, and CERES plot. Through simulation data, we investigate and compare the results of graphical approaches under diverse conditions.

  • 청각장애인을 위한 지상파방송 서비스 중 자막방송은 100%에 가까운 편성 비율을 달성하고 있지만, 수화방송은 방송화면을 가리는 특성과 비용 등의 문제로 5% 수준의 편성에 그치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자막방송을 수화로 번역하여 그래픽 수화 방송을 생성함으로써 수화방송의 비율을 높이고자 한다. 일기예보에 한정하여 수화방송을 생성한 기존 연구 결과를 바탕으로 모든 방송 프로그램에 적용 가능한 그래픽 수화방송 시스템을 제안한다. 자막방송 문장을 형태소별로 분석한 다음 중요 품사 위주로 단어 단위로 번역하고, 한국어 어휘의미망을 이용하여 수화사전에 없는 단어를 대표어로 대체하였다. 형제어와 문맥 정보를 이용하여 중의성 단어를 성공적으로 번역하였다. 기존 일기예보 수화방송 시스템의 수화 사전과 수화 모션 데이터베이스를 추가 구축하였다. 자동번역 기술이 전문 수화 통역사의 수준을 따라잡을 수는 없지만 향후 수화방송도 선택적 서비스가 가능해지고 수화통역사의 수화방송이 모든 프로그램에 편성될 때까지 본 시스템이 보조적 시청 수단으로 사용 가능할 것이다.

A Visualization Technique for Cyclic Queries in the Graphical Object Query Language OGQL (그래픽 객체 질의어 OGQL에서 순환적 질의의 시각적 표현 기법)

  • We propose a graphical object query language called OGPL (Odysseus Graphical Query Language) for Odysseus object databases. By employing simple graphical notations, OGQL provides a user friendly database interface for object databases. OGQL provides a simple graphical notation for advanced features of the object queries such as path expressions including cycles (cyclic queries). Cyclic queries have not been handled in the previous graphical query languages because of their complexity and ambiguity in devising appropriate graphical notations. GOQL also provides a graphical notation for inheritance hierarchy. Since OGQL has been implemented in Java and JDBC standard interface, users can access the remote databases in a web environment and the system has platform-independent architecture.

  • As a field in Digital Arts, interactive video introduced the mirror metaphor to the foundation of media, given its characteristic as a medium that extracts an audience image in a particular perspective. The interactive video work introduced in this paper addresses conceptual topics in the extension of Zhuangzi's Butterfly Dream and illustrates the technological approaches that employ an intensity-based computer vision processing in order to obtain the silhouette of audience for multiple graphical butterflies to draw an audience image. Users generate narratives in the interaction with the projected image. Sound is used in order for the system to provide augmented perception in the space and to add more rooms for narratives. The computer vision and the graphics methods introduced in this paper are suggested as tools for interactive video.

  • Computation steps for 3D graphic processing consist of two stages - fixed operation stage and programming required stage. Using this characteristic of 3D pipeline, a hybrid structure between graphics hardware designed by fixed structure and programmable hardware based on instructions, can handle graphic processing more efficiently. In this paper, fragment Shader is designed under this hybrid structure. It also supports OpenGL ES 2.0. Interior interface is optimized to reduce the delay of entire pipeline, which may be occurred by data I/O between the fixed hardware and the Shader. Interior register group of the Shader is designed by an interleaved structure to improve the register space and processing speed.

  • In this thesis, the analysis of data processing method and the amount of computation in the whole geometry processing is conducted step by step. Floating-point ALU design is based on the characteristics of geometry processing operation. The performance of the devised ALU fitting with the geometry processing operation is analyzed by simulation after the description of the proposed ALU and geometry processor. The ALU designed in the paper can perform three types of floating-point operation simultaneously-addition/subtraction, multiplication, division. As a result, the 23.5% of improvement is achieved by that floating-point ALU for the whole geometry processing and in the floating-point division and square root operation, there is another 23% of performance gain with adding area-performance efficient SRT divisor.
