The effect of balance improvement on balance training with visual feedback and somatosensory (시각 되먹임을 이용한 균형 훈련과 체성감각을 이용한 균형훈련이 균형 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • Our country is already in the aging corner and fall down is the elderly personal, social and economic problems are causing. therefore, executed this study for inquiring into an athletic effect for the balance ability increase that was a main variable of an fall down. The purpose of this study, to find the effect of balance training using visual feedback and somatosensory. Experimental group divided the three groups, objects measured balance ability of each experimental groups before experiment, the balance exercise group used visual feedback by Nintendo Wii(company - model), the balance exercise group used visual and TOGU, the balance exercise group used blind and TOGU. 4 experimental of each groups measured MFT and EMG value after training. having rest time, 4 experimental of each groups measured MFT and EMG value after training used balance pad. MFT - visual feedback with somatosensory training is most efficient but, indifferent both balance training with visual feedback and balance training with somatosensory. EMG - training with somatosensory is more efficient than training with visual feedback. Conclusion : in the process of improving equilibrium ability of patient who is lack of balance ability, somatosensory training is effective to correct different of left, right and frequency of left, right. visual feedback is the most effective way to improve dynamic balance sensory, so parallel of these two practice is thought to be the most effective.

Effects of Game-based Visual Feedback Training on Postural Balance Control (게임기반의 시각 피드백 훈련이 자세균형 조절에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we analyzed the effects of game-based visual feedback training on postural balance control in young adults. We provided postural balance training for four weeks in fifth minute a day and three days a week using training system of postural balance based forceplate. We evaluated the ability of postural balance using balance SD(Biodex, medicalscience Inc., USA) for the validation of game contents based visual feedback training program. The results showed that postural stability and limits of stability were improved significantly before and after the training(p<0.05). Our study indicates that postural balance training of visual feedback based game could be adapted for improving postural balance. Also, for application of this game-based visual feedback training in older adults, we could develope of various game contents for disease types and conduct quantitative analysis and data collection of postural balance in the aged.

The Analysis of Balance and muscle Activity according to Stair Height Gait Training in Adult Hemiplegia (성인 편마비환자의 계단 높이에 따른 보행훈련시 균형 및 근활성도 분석)

  • 본 연구는 뇌졸중으로 인한 성인 편마비 환자의 계단 높이에 따른 보행 훈련을 통하여 균형과 근활성도 변화를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 뇌졸중으로 진단받은 편마비 환자 30명을 대상으로 5cm, 10cm, 15cm 높이의 계단 보행 훈련군으로 나누어 계단 보행 훈련을 실시하였으며, 임상적 균형능력 측정도구인 Berg Balance Scale(BBS), Timed up and go(TUG), Functional Reach Test(FRT)와 근활성도를 측정하였다. 연구결과 균형변화에서는 세 군간 계단 보행 훈련 전과 후의 균형 변화량이 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나(p>.05), 10cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서 가장 큰 변화량을 보였다. 근활성도변화에서는 계단 오르기시 10cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서 넙다리곧은근, 넙다리두갈래근, 장딴지근, 15cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서 모든 근육들이 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p<.05), 계단 내리기시 근활성도 변화에서는 5cm 높이계단 보행 훈련군에서 앞정강근와 장딴지근, 10cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서 모든 근육들이, 15cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서 넙다리두갈래근, 앞정강근, 장딴지근이 통계학으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(p<.05). 따라서, 높이에 따른 계단 보행 훈련은 편마비 환자의 임상적 균형 능력과 근활성도를 변화시키는데 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 특히 10cm 높이 계단 보행 훈련군에서는 다른 높이의 계단 보행 훈련군에서 보다 약간 상대적인 증가를 보였다.

  • 이 논문은 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 하여 불안정한 지지면에서의 균형 훈련이 안정 지지면에서의 균형 훈련과 비교하였을 때 균형 능력 향상에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구 대상자는 뇌졸중 환자 30명으로 안정지지면 운동군과 불안정 지지면 운동군으로 분류하여 주 3회 6주동안 실시하였다. 균형능력의 측정은 Good balance system를 사용하였다. 안정지지면 운동군에서는 속도모멘트만 감소하였고, 불안정 지지면 운동군에서는 내외측, 전후방, 속도모멘트에서 감소하여서, 안정 지지면 운동군보다 불안정 지지면 운동군에서의 운동이 균형 훈련이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 눈을 감고 있을때는 눈을 뜨고 있을 때보다 안정 지지면과 불안정 지지면에서의 균형정도는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 안정지지면에서의 균형훈련보다 불안정 지지면에서의 훈련이 더 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The effect of Sandal and balance convergence exercise on static balance and proprioception on patient with chronic ankle instability (만성 발목 불안정성 환자들에 대한 샌들과 균형 융합 운동이 정적균형 및 고유수용성감각에 미치는 효과)

  • The objective of the study was the effects of balance training using sandals on the balancing and proprioception of patients with chronic ankle instability(CAI). A total of 36 patients with CAI were assigned to sandal exercise(SE), balance training(BT), and control groups(CG). The groups were assessed for static balancing and proprioception before and after the intervention. The SE performed using balance sandals, while BT performed balance training. Intervention comprised a 30minute session. 3 times a week for 8 weeks. The SE showed significant effect in static balance, as compared to the other two groups (p<.001), whereas proprioception showed a significant effect on eversion (p<.001). Therefore, balance training using sandals can be a positive intervention method for prevention of falls in elderly as well as chronic ankle instability patients.

3D Visual Feedback Exercise on Hemiplegia Patients for the Balance Ability (편마비 환자의 균형 증진을 위한 시각적 되먹임 운동)

  • 이 연구는 시각적 되먹임을 이용한 3차원 운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형과 보행에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 11명의 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 3D 시각적 운동을 이용한 균형 훈련을 실시하였고, 11명은 고전적인 균형훈련을 실시하였다. 운동은 주5회 6주 동안 이루어졌다. Berg Balance 척도를 통해 균형정도를 측정하였다. 3D 시각적 운동을 이용한 그룹에서 균형 정도가 더 많이 향상되었다. 따라서, 3D 시각적 운동은 뇌졸중환자의 균형훈련에 유용한 방법이라고 할 수 있다.

  • This study was conducted to compare the task-oriented exercise and weight-shifting exercise program has effectiveness on the static and dynamic balance in patients with total knee replacement. The participants were allocated randomly into 2 group : task-oriented exercise group(n=12) and weight-shifting exercise group(n=12). To evaluate the effects of exercise, subjects were evaluated by using Gaitveiw System and functional reaching test for static balance and Balance System for dynamic balance test. The data was analyzed using a paired t-test and independent t-test to determine the statistical significance. Static balance test and dynamic balance test in task-oriented exercise had statistical significance than weight-shifting exercise program(p<0.05). So this results were suggested that the task-oriented exercise was effective on static and dynamic balance in patients with total knee replacement.

Effects of Vision Control Balance Training on Balance and Muscle Activities of Stroke Patients (시각 통제 균형훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 근 활성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to examine effects of vision control balance training applied to stroke patients on their balance. 26 stroke patients, the subjects of this study, were divided into an affected side 1/2 vision control group (9), a non-affected side 1/2 vision control group (9), and a non-vision control group (8). After vision control standing on Posturo-med, all of the three groups received balance training 20 minutes four times per week for 8 weeks watching themselves 1M away from a mirror. To measure their balance abilities, measurements were made on their time of balance maintenance and muscle activity prior to the intervention, four 4 after the intervention, and 8 weeks after the intervention. Vision control balance training applied to stroke patients resulted in increase in their time of balance maintenance and significant improvement in vastus medialis muscle activity (p<0.05). This study result is that vision control balance training is considered an effective exercise method for balance training of stroke patients.

The Effects of Balance and Trunk Repositioning Sense with Multisensorial Training using Visual Cue Deprivation in Subacute Stroke Patients (시각 통제를 이용한 다중감각 훈련이 아급성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 체간위치감각에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was to investigate the effects of balance and trunk repositioning sense through multisensorial training using visual cue deprivation in subacute stroke patients. Multisensorial training group practiced after visual deprivation, control group practiced in the same training except visual deprivation with thirty subjects. Both groups were conducted training programs on sixty minutes a day, five days a week during four weeks. The subjects were evaluated by static balance, dynamic balance and trunk repositioning sense in the pre-posttest. There was significant improvement by multisensorial training that static balance, dynamic balance and the trunk repositioning sense between pretest and post test (p<.05). There were significantly differences in the amount of change of dynamic balance, trunk repositioning sense between the two groups(p<.05). Through this study, multisensorial training suggest that is effective in the improvement of dynamic balance and trunk repositioning sense.

Effects of Postural Balance at Game-based Visual Feedback Training of the Elderly (고령자의 게임기반 시각피드백 훈련에 따른 자세 균형 효과)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the effects of game-based visual feedback training on postural balance control in young adults and older adults. We provided postural balance training by 23 young adults and 14 older adults and for four weeks in fifth minute a day and three days a week using IBalance(Cybermedic Inc., Korea). We evaluated the ability of postural balance using balance SD(Biodex, medicalscience Inc., USA) for the validation of game contents based on visual feedback training program. The results showed that postural stability and limits of stability of young adults and older adults were improved significantly before and after the training(p<0.05). Thus, the games of postural balance encouraged anterior, posterior, medial, lateral and multidirectional weight shifting regarding postural balance. Our study indicates that postural balance training of visual feedback based game could be adapted for improving postural balance. Moreover, we could develope of game contents for individuals and various ages for effective application of this game-based visual feedback training.
