Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimization Algorithms for Uniform Distributed Pareto Optimal Solutions (균일분포의 파레토 최적해 생성을 위한 다목적 최적화 진화 알고리즘)

  • Evolutionary a1gorithms are well-suited for multi-objective optimization problems involving several, often conflicting objectives. Pareto-based evolutionary algorithms, in particular, have shown better performance than other multi-objective evolutionary algorithms in comparison. However, generalized evolutionary multi-objective optimization algorithms have a weak point, in which the distribution of solutions are not uni-formly distributed onto Pareto optimal front. In this paper, we propose an evolutionary a1gorithm for multi-objective optimization which uses seed individuals in order to overcome weakness of algorithms Published. Seed individual means a solution which is not located in the crowded region on Pareto front. And the idea of our algorithm uses seed individuals for reproducing individuals for next generation. Thus, proposed a1go-rithm takes advantage of local searching effect because new individuals are produced near the seed individual with high probability, and is able to produce comparatively uniform distributed pareto optimal solutions. Simulation results on five testbed problems show that the proposed algo-rithm could produce uniform distributed solutions onto pareto optimal front, and is able to show better convergence compared to NSGA-II on all testbed problems except multi-modal problem.

  • 최근 한국기계연구원에서 개발된 Mechanochemical process (MCP)는 Spray conversion 법에 의하여 나노크기의 W/Cu 복합 분말을 제조하는 방법으로서, 현재 (주)나노테크에서 산업화를 위한 시험/개발이 진행 중이다. 이 방법에 의하여 W /1 0 ~ 40wt. %Cu 조성의 초미렵 W/Cu 복합 분말의 양산화가 가능하게 됨으로써, 나노복합분말을 사용한 초미립 W/Cu 합금의 소결 제조 연구 역시 나 노태크에서 분말사업화와 동시에 수행되고 있다. 현재 Spray conversion 법으로 제조되고 있는 W/Cu 나노복합분말 및 그 소결체는 Cu의 조성범 위에 따라 민수용 및 군수용 제품으로의 적용이 시도되고 있으며, 각기 특성향상을 목표로 각 적용 분야에서 요구되는 제반 성능에 대한 검토가 이루어지고 있다. 특히 군수용의 목적으로 사용될 경우, 정적 및 동적부하상태에서 재료의 균일한 변형이 가장 중요한 특성이다. 현 개발품의 경우, 일반 W 빛 Cu 원료에 비하여 상대적으로 높은 순도의 원료를 사용하였기 때문에 분말 및 소재상태 에서의 순도가 높아서, 연성을 저하시키는 것으로 알려진 기지상내 합금원소 또는 interface 게재물 이 존재할 가능성이 매우 낮다. 또한 초미립 W 입자들과 Cu 상의 혼합도가 극대화된 상태이기 때문에 상대적으로 저옹에서도 완전치밀화된 미세조직을 얻을 수 있는데, 이는 분말상태의 균일한 미세구조를 유지할 수 있으며, 동시에 W 업자간의 과도한 neck 형성을 방지함으로써 기계적 변형시 재료의 연성 향상이 기대된다. 이러한 W/Cu 나노복합분말 소결체의 특성은 균일한 밀도분포와 동시에 과도한 동적 부하상태에서 균일한 변형이 보장되어야만 하는 특정 군수용 목적에 잘 부합하는 것으로 판단된다. 본 고에서는 상기한 W/Cu 나노복함분말을 사용하여 균일한 미세구조를 가지는 완전치밀화된 소결재를 제조하는 과정과 제조된 소결재를 향후 군수용 제품에 척용시키기 위하여 진행된 단조특성에 대한 연구결과틀을 재료의 미세구조척 관점에서 논의하였다.

  • Microorganisms producing milk-clotting enzyme were isolated from 1,506 strains which were collected from soil on the various places of Korea, and from strains which were already identified. Dothiorella ribis was taken as a good strain producing milk-clotting enzyme. When it is cultured on wheat bran, the optimum experimental conditions for the production of milk-clotting enzyme were consequently obtained as follows: 1) $30{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ of temperature and 4.0 of pH. 2) $60{\sim]80%$ of cultivating water to the weight of wheat bran. 3) addition of $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ as a nitrogen source, $NaCl\;and\;KH_2PO_4$ as an inorganic salt, and 3% of sucrose as a carbon source. 4) four days for a period of cultivation.

  • Leptospira isolated from patients and natural paddy water were further studied to confirm their serologic specificity with the bacteria in infected animal tissue and autopsied tissue of patients died with leptospirosis. And pathologic patterns of the inoculated antimal and the virulence of the bacteria in the animals were also studied. The findings are summarized as follows; $LD_{50}$ dose of the bacteria in guinea-pig were $1-2{\times}10^9$ cells and mice were found to be susceptible to them even though the degree of susceptibilities were much inferior to guinea pig. The bacteria were recovered from various organs; demonstrated massive hemorrages due to diapedesis and monocyte infiltration were observed, in some cases, intramedullary hemorrages of the infected kidnies and hematuria were recognized. All of the hyperimmune sera were strongly reacted with the tissues from autopsied human case who died of EPHF(Epidemic Pulmonary Hemorrhagic Fever) in immunofluorescent antibody tests.

  • This work Proposes and describes an LCD backlight driver IC using a voltage feedback circuit which improves the brightness uniformity. The proposed circuit controls the brightness of a backlight by amplifying of sampling voltage at a lamp. To keep the uniformity of brightness, the circuit has a reference lamp. The output voltage of the reference lamp is supplied commonly to each lamp that reduces a resistance deviation of the lamps. As a result, the proposed circuit shows brightness uniformity improvement of about $40\%$ compared to the conventional ones.

  • Studies were made on the optimal conditions of sterilization for Streptococcus pyogenes treated with heat. The results were as follows: The optimal temperature on growth of Streptococcus pyogenes was 37$^{\circ}C$ and mean generation time was 20 minutes in the logarithmic growth phase. The suspension of Streptococcus pyogenes, adjusted to pH 6-9 and treated with heat at 5$0^{\circ}C$, showed logarithmic death rate. Specific death rate constant(k) values at pH 6-9 were 0.1448, 0.1194. 0.1273 and 0.1707 minute$^{-1}$ , respectively.

  • Gene libraries of DNA from Flammulina velutipes were constructed using Escherichia coli plasmid pBR 322. Leu 2 gene coding ${\beta}-isopropylmalate$ dehydrogenase from F. velutipes was cloned by complementation of leucine requiring mutant of E. coli. The size of inserted DNA fragment of this clone is about 1 Kbp. The fragment has Bam H1 and Ava 1 restriction sites.

  • Effect of light and pH on mycelial growth and sporangium formation of Phytophthora capsici Leon, causal fungus of fruit rot of red pepper was carried out on culture media. The maximum mycelial growth occurred at $25^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.0 on potato sucrose agar. The fungus did not produce sporangia readily in dark condition. However, abundant sporulation occurred by illuminating continuous cool white fluorescent light with 2000 lux for 48 hrs. at $20{\pm}2^{\circ}C$. Oat meal agar was one of the best media for sporangia formation.

  • Since the LBP algorithm has the characteristic of local texture expression, it is possible to obtain completely different results depending on the extraction location and the size of the reference image and the sample image. In order to solve these shortcomings, in this paper, we first investigate the basic characteristics of LBP, make the size of the reference image (100×100) in order to include most of the characteristics in the image, and select a sample image (40×40) extracted from an arbitrary point. After finding the matching position in the LBP of the reference image by using the correlation test between the LBP of the reference image and the LBP of the sample image, a chi analysis method is used to find the reference image that most closely matches the sample image.

  • A flywheel-driven rapid compression and expansion machine is developed and utilized for experimental study of homogeneous charge compression ignition combustion. Compression ignition of homogeneous charge in IC engines offers possibilities of realizing ultra-lean engine operation with greatly reduced NOx and particulate formation. Fundamental investigations are carried out in order to better understand this ideal engine combustion mechanism. Perfectly premixed propane-air mixtures of various equivalence ratio are compression-ignited in the rapid compression and expansion machine, and the characteristics of the auto-ignition and the following combustion process are analyzed.
