In this study, fundamental properties such as fresh and hardened performance of concrete mix(specification : 25-24-18) added fluorine-silicate hybrid based crack reducing agent(FS) were measured. Addition of FS ranged from 0.5% to 2.0% at intervals 0.5% based on cement weight. Adequate dosage(0.5%) of FS derived from basic properties measurements applied and compared resistance for shrinkage crack. The permeability of concrete in the absence(24-S-0.0) and presence(24-S-0.5) of evaluated at a mock-up sized concrete. Concrete added FS improved resistance for shrinkage crack and consequently crack number, length and area decreased to $50{\sim}74.4%$ compared non-added. As well, by the addition of FS, the resistance for permeability and penetration depth to concrete surface region increased 67% and 40%, respectively. Therefore it was confirmed that shrinkage crack resistance and permeability of concrete could be improved by the addition of FS.

In this study, a comparative test was conducted on a specially developed elastic waterproof paint and general water-based paint for the purpose of responding to cracks occurring on the outer wall of concrete structures and improving watertightness. Through the comparative experiment, it was confirmed that the watertightness could be improved by securing the crack shielding property, and it was also confirmed that about 10 times more crack responsiveness was secured compared to general water-based paint. In addition, it was confirmed that the adhesion performance of at least 1.3MPa and resistance to a water permeation pressure of 0.1MPa were possible, confirming that stability was secured from a waterproofing perspective.

Structral crack of RC structure generally occurs when the tension stress by applied load is larger than tension resistance of concrete, and it means deterioration of structure and the decrease of load resistance. Because structural crack of structure can occur critical damage to structure occasionally, the research on crack detection algorithm of RC structure is needed for assurance of structural safety and effective maintenance of structure. In this paper, we executed the laboratory test on measuring strain of RC beam's tension and compression zone, using strain gauge which is widely used on strain measurement of civil structure. By using measured strain, we analyzed strain change, elastic modulus change, and neutral axis change to detect crack of RC beam. As a result, we proposed the simple and effective crack detection algorithm using trends of neutral axis position change.
The current design for crack width control in concrete bridges is incomplete in analytical models. As one of the important serviceability limit states, the crack width be considered with the quantitative prediction of the initiation and propagation of corrosion and corrosion-induced cracking. A serviceability limit state of cracking can be affected by the combined effects of bond, slip, cracking, and corrosion of the reinforcing elements. Considering life span of concrete bridges, an improved prediction of crack width affected by time-dependent general corrosion has been proposed for the crack control design. The developed corrosion models and crack width prediction equation can be used for the design and the maintenance of prestressed and non-prestressed reinforcements by varying time, w/c, cover depth, and geometries of the sections. It can also be used as the rational criteria for the maintenance of existing concrete bridges and the prediction of remaining life of concrete structures.

This paper presents some research results on the shrinkage characteristics and frost resistance before and after cracking of FR-ECC(Fire Resistance-Engineered Cementitious Composite). Also, a waterstop performance and exfoliating resistance of multi-layer lining specimens using FR-ECC and flexural performance of beam member by repaired FR-ECC are estimated in this paper. Experimental results indicate that the plastic shrinkage crack and length change ratio of FR-ECC have been reduced as compared with that of the existing repair mortar, and that its crack resistance on the dry shrinkage is improved under the confining stress. As well as FR-ECC has been great in the frost resistance and its tensile properties under the cracked state have been not reduced by freezing and thawing reaction. In addition, beam member by repaired FR-ECC have been increased in the flexural properties such as initial crack moment, yeild moment, and its crack width has been controled in a stable by the frexural failure.
This paper presents the performance evaluation of asphalt pavement reinforced with fiber sheet type of geosynthetics and observations conducted to evaluate the practical efficiencies and performance of overlay asphalt pavement reinforced with geosynthetics. In this study, performance evaluation were performed for the six section of construction site. The performance indcators of asphalt pavement reinforced with geosynthetics has been collected Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and have been analyzed for rutting, cracking ratio, falling weight and international roughness index. As a result of performance evaluations, geosynthetics reinforced asphalt pavement is sigficant effect on increasing a cracking resistance than the non-reinfroced asphalt pavement, also rutting and crak is slowly increase as incerasingly performance period.
In this study, electro-deposition method was applied to heal cracks in various blended concrete. The performance of the method was indirectly monitored by measuring impressed voltage, electrolyte, galvanic current monitoring, linear polarization resistance, and directly by image analysis of the cracks. The indirect and direct monitoring values are compared to develop guidelines for relating the indirect measures to actual crack healing. As a result, It was found that impressed voltage was convergence to 2.9V after 20000 minutes. From the galvanic current test results of artificial crack healing, the corrosion resistance showed that the order of 0.4 $>$ 0.6 $>$ 0.5 water to cement ratio. Furthermore, in view of binder, the corrosion resistance order was calculated OPC $>$ 60%GGBS $>$ 10%SF $>$ 30%PFA. Finally, It was found that 76.47% of healed crack surface calculated from the artificial crack healing technique using electrochemical deposition method.
This study has been performed to test the flowability and filling ability of high flowing concrete as well as distribution of aggregate and pore of core specimen, heat of hydration, compressive strength and core strength of concrete. In addition, the resistance to chloride ion penetration and chemical solutionof concrete was tested in order to evaluate the resistance to sea water of concrete and its application of high flowing concrete using blended low heat cement in the field of Seohae Grand Bridge. The properties of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement were compared with ordinary 25-240-15 concrete using Type V cement. As the results of this study, the flowability and filling ability of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement is satisfied without vibration. Though the cement content of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement was 400kg/m$^2$, the rising temperature of it was relatively lower than that of the ordinary 25-240-15 concrete with Type V cement. Also, the compressive of high flowing concrete with blended low heat cement is similar to that of the ordinary 25-240-15 concrete with Type V cement.
Recently, analysis researches on durability are focused on chloride attack and carbonation due to increased social and engineering significance. Generally, chloride penetration and carbonation occur simultaneously except for in submerged condition and chloride behavior in carbonated concrete is evaluated to be different from that in normal concrete. Furthermore, if unavoidable crack occurs in concrete, it influences not only single attack but also coupled deterioration more severely. This is a study on analysis technique with system dynamics for chloride penetration in concrete structures exposed to coupled chloride attack and carbonation through chloride diffusion, permeation, and carbonation reaction. For the purpose, a modeling for chloride behavior considering diffusion and permeation is performed through previous models for early-aged concrete such as MCHHM (multi component hydration heat model) and MPSFM (micro pore structure formation). Then model for combined deterioration is developed considering changed characteristics such as pore distribution, saturation and dissociation of bound chloride content under carbonation. The developed model is verified through comparison with previous experimental data. Additionally, simulation for combined deterioration in cracked concrete is carried out through utilizing previously developed models for chloride penetration and carbonation in cracked concrete. From the simulated results, CCTZ (chloride-carbonation transition zone) for evaluating combined deterioration is proposed. It is numerically verified that concrete with slag has better resistance to combined deterioration than concrete with OPC in sound and cracked concrete.
