  • 본 논문에서는 보완대체요법 중 귀 반사 요법을 컴퓨터를 활용하여 데이터베이스화하여 쉽게 교육하고 누구나 원하는 증상별 처치를 빠르게 검색하고 정확한 위치에 첨압 할 수 있으며 귀 반사 기본 자료, 인체상응 관계도, 첨압 관련 리포트 및 증상별 처치 리포트 등을 인쇄로도 가능하여 민간인들도 쉽게 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Physiological Activity and Effects on Lipid Peroxidation of Hot Water-Extract Obtained from Euonymus alatus in Cultured Rat Hepatocyte (Rat의 hepatocyte에서 $amyloid-{\beta$}$로 유발된 세포사, 지질과산화 및 세포산화에 대한 귀전우 열수 추출물의 보호효과)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the physiological activityof the water extract from EA. The present study was done to investigate the effects of EA on cultured hepatocyte cell system and lipid peroxidation in $A{\beta}$ treatment conditions. Pretreatment of EA attenuated in cell cytotoxicity enhanced by increasing concentrations of $A{\beta}$. MDA level induced by $A{\beta}$ treatment was significantly increased and the level was slightly reduced by pretreatment of EA. The ability of EA to reduce cell death and MDA level induced by $A{\beta}$ suggest that EA may be a protective agent against free radical generating compounds such as $A{\beta}$. EA exhibited anti oxidative activity at all concentration tested.The extract was as good as antioxidative activity of the synthetic antioxidants, butylated hydroxy toluene and ascorbic acid. Furthermore, this was superior to that of natural antioxidant, a-tocopherol. In the presence of heavy metal ions ($Fe^{2+},{\;}Zn^{2+}$), EA showed strong antioxidative activity. The extracts showed about 3075% in the nitrite scavenging effect under pH 1.2 and $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr. There was significant difference among concentration of extracts.

A Study of The Database System Design for The Ear Reflex Therapy Utilization

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic workload balancing strategy which improves the performance of high-performance computing system. The key idea of this dynamic workload balancing strategy is to minimize execution time of each job and to maximize the system throughput by effectively using system resource such as CPU, memory. Also, this strategy dynamically allocates job by considering demanded memory size of executing job and workload status of each node. If an overload node occurs due to allocated job, the proposed scheme migrates job, executing in overload nodes, to another free nodes and reduces the waiting time and execution time of job by balancing workload of each node. Through simulation, we show that the proposed dynamic workload balancing strategy based on CPU, memory improves the performance of high-performance computing system compared to previous strategies.

  • 대학원생 김모씨(28세 여)는 귀에 갑작스런 통증을 느끼기 시작했다. 또 급격하게 저하된 청력으로 친구들의 말귀를 잘 못 알아들어 '사오정'이라는 별명도 얻게 되었다. 통증이 심해 병원을 찾아간 결과 외상성 고막천공이라는 진단을 받게 되었다. 이는 귀이개가 고막을 관통해 발생한 질병으로 귀이개로 귀를 후비던 중 실수고 너무 깊이 파 통증이 나타나게 된 것이다. 다행이 다른 부위는 손상이 없어 외래에서 간단한 수술 및 통원치료 후 증상은 좋아졌다. 또 직장인 박모씨(34세 남)는 어느 날부터 갑자기 귀에서 고름이 나오고, 고약한 냄새를 풍겨 병원을 찾았는데, 만성 외이도염이라는 진단을 받았다. 원인은 하루가 멀다 하고 귀지를 파내는 오래된 습관 때문이라는 것이다. 습관을 바꾸지 않으면 앞으로 청력도 떨어질 수 있다는 의사의 말에 귀이개부터 멀리하기 시작했다. 고려대 안산병원 이비인후과 조승현 교수는 "종종 속을 썩이는 것이 귀지"라며 "무리하게 후비다가는 고막까지 버릴 수 있으므로 함부로 파서는 안된다"고 지적한다.

Ear Detection using Haar-like Feature and Template (Haar-like 특징과 템플릿을 이용한 귀 검출)

  • Ear detection in an image processing is the one of the important area in biometrics. In this paper we propose a human ear detection algorithm with side face images. First, we search a face candidate area in an input image by using skin-color model and try to find an ear area based on Haar-like feature. Then, to verity whether it is the ear area or not, we use the template which is excellent object classification compare to recognize the characters in the plate. In this experiment, the proposed method showed that the processing speed is improved by 60% than previous works and the detection success rate is 92%.

  • Ear detection is an important part of an non-invasive ear recognition system. In this paper we propose human ear detection from side face images. The proposed method is made by imitating the human recognition process using feature information and color information. First, we search face candidate area in an input image by using 'skin-color model' and try to find an ear area based on edge information. Then, to verify whether it is the ear area or not, we use the SVM (Support Vector Machine) based on a statistical theory. The method shows high detection ratio in indoors environment with stable illumination.

Mite infestation rate of pet dogs with ear dermatoses (귀 피부병이 있는 애완견에서 진드기 감염률)

  • This study aimed to investigate the incidence of the canine ear dermatoses caused by mitts and the relativity of the causative mites of canine dermatoses to the pruritic dermatoses of the families possessing the pet dogs. Total 970 samples were collected from the lesional hairs and scales of the ear of pet dogs referred to Chung-Woon animal clinic in Seoul from January, 1990 to December, 1995. The mites were collected from the samples by means of the washing method . Presence of pruritic dermatoses in the families possessing the pet dog was evaluated. Among 2,147 mites collected from 970 samples, 2,117 specimens were Octonectes cwnotis and others were Scrcoptes conis (30 mites). O. cwnotis were found in 382 samples out of total 970 samples (39.4%) and S. cams were found in 3 samples (0.3%). Although two families out of 382 families that possessed the diseased pet dog by O. cwnotis had the family histories of pruritic dermatoses, their pruritic dermatoses were not related to the infestation by O. cwnotis. In conclusion, O. cwnotis, the most common canine mite producing pruritic ear dematoses, does not cause pruritic dermatoses in man.

Effects of Auricular Acupressure on Constipation and Depression in Shift- Work Nurses (귀지압이 교대근무 간호사의 변비와 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of auricular acupressure on constipation and depression in shift-work nurses. The data was collected from May to June 2021 at A hospital in area I, and 40 nurses working in shifts participated in this study. This study was an open-label randomized controlled trial. 40 nurses who had constipation were randomized to the experimental group (n=20) or control group (n=20). Auricular acupressure was performed for 2 weeks at the corresponding points of constipation and depression for the experimental group. Auricular acupressure for 2 weeks significantly decreased constipation scores compared to the control group (F=7.74, p<.001). The mean difference in depression scores before and after acupressure in the experimental group (2.90±2.86) was larger than the difference in the control group (1.35±3.12), but it was not statistically significant (t=-1.64, p=.055). Auricular acupressure was effective in relieving constipation in shift-work nurses. Auricular acupressure could be considered as a treatment option for constipation.

A Study on the Characteristics of the Vegetation Structure and Location Environment of the Albizzia kalkora Community (왕자귀나무군락의 식생구조 및 입지환경 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the vegetation structure and the location environment of Albizzia kalkora (AK) growing in Mt. Yudal located in Mokpo city and in the nearby islands. The AK community in Mt. Yudal in Mokpo city (Community I) is located in a region which is relatively high above the sea level. The average age of the major kinds of trees found in the region is about 30 years. The vegetation structure in the community shows an early stage of vegetation development due to continued disturbance. In Community IV, on the sandy soil in the flatland near the seashores, the average age of the major kinds of trees is about 9 years. In this community, a pure forest is presumed to have been formed in a poor environment which is artificially disturbed in relatively recent times even as AK with its strong adoptability was introduced into the region. In other communities (II, III), the vegetation state shows a competition between AK and deciduous oak trees, and the average age of the major kinds of trees is about 13 to 30 years. AK communities with a better developed vegetation structure are located on the higher steep slopes near the seashore. In the early stage of vegetation development, the forest floor received more effective light for photosynthesis, and thus more seedlings of AK emerged and grew. The probability of AK appearing in the damaged or sterile soil near the seashore was high because of its strong adaptability. However, as the vegetation structure developed further and the soil fertility increased, the domination of AK in the vegetation structure decreased as deciduous oak trees won the competition with AK.
