International trade flows have been determined by social, cultural and political environment around the world as well as economic elements. The environment of international trade has changed rapidly as the world has globalized. Significant changes have been generated in the international trade flows. This study investigates the influences of economic globalization on the international trade flows. The changes in international trade flows examined comprehensively by integrating trade with industrial locations, investment, and the various trade related environments. The focus laid on the integration of world economies, such as widening and intensifying international linkages in economic, political and social relation. Special concerns are laid on the impacts of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) by Trans National Corporations (TNCs), which affect the supply-demand distributions of commodities by industrial relocations, and the expansion of intra-firm trade flows on the international trade flow patterns. The geographical characteristics of tile origins and destinations of FDI flows analyzed, since the spatial patterns of the intra-firm trade flows are determined by them. The FDI and intra-firm trade flow patterns have changed significantly over time.

The emergence of new multipolar world economy along with the predominant growth of emerging economies encourages these emerging countries to internationalize their currencies. Currently the discrepancy between qualification and status of international currency is easily observed, and the emerging market currencies are no doubt underestimated considering their share of the world's economic size and trade volume. This paper studies the determinant factors of currency internationalization for five key currencies (US Dollar, Yen, Euro, Pound, and Swiss Franc). The analysis shows economic size, trade volume, and the stability of price and exchange rate are most important. Based on this result, Chinese Yuan is forecast to become a new international currency in the near future. Therefore, Korea needs to preempt the issue of regional economic integration, and even currency integration, by taking into account the possibility of internationalized Yuan.

This study conducted the international evaluation of the APEC educational cooperation projects initiated by the Korean government and drew out strategies and tasks for their sustainable implementation. To this end, eight projects implemented by the Institute of APEC Collaborative Education were selected for the evaluation which examined participants' awareness of and the degree of participation in the eight projects as well as contribution to the intended outcomes of the projects. An online survey was conducted to participants of the eight projects and 283 experts and participants from 18 economies responded. The descriptive analysis found that the participants of ALCoB Cooperation Project reported the most positive perception of the awareness while the participants of the ALCoB Internet Volunteers showed the lowest degree of participation in and contribution to the intended outcomes of the project. Based on the results, several suggestions for further progress in Korea's APEC educational cooperation were made.

한국은 1990년대에 들어서면서 자본이동을 자유화함에 따라 환율의 급격한 변동을 경험하고 있으며 이로 인하여 원유수입가격(原油輸入價格)의 변동을 경험하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 원유수입가격의 변동이 수출입에 주는 효과를 분석하기 위하여 1990년부터 1996년까지의 수요 중심의 월별 거시모형을 구축하여 국제원유가격변동으로 인한 원유수입가격 변동효과와 환율 변동으로 인한 원유수입가격 변동효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과에 의하면 수출의 경우 국제원유가격 상승시는 단기에 -0.06% 감소하다가 그 효과가 없어지는 데 비해, 환율 상승시는 단기에 -1.84% 감소하다가 장기에 0.36%까지 증가하는 J-curve 현상을 보이고 있다. 원유수입(原油輸入)의 경우 국제원유가격 상승시는 원유(原油)가 비경쟁적 수입이므로 단기에 3.91% 증가하여 장기까지 그 수준을 유지하며, 환율 상승시는 수출과 산업생산의 영향으로 단기에 -7.5%까지 감소하다가 점차 증가하여 장기에는 0.39%까지 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 원유외수입(原油外輸入)의 경우도 국제원유가격 상승시에는 장기에 -0.35% 감소하나 환율 상승시에는 수출과 산업생산의 영향으로 단기에 -4.60%까지 감소하고 장기에는 -0.15% 감소하고 있다. 결국 원유를 포함한 수출입은 국제원유가격 상승시보다 환율 변동시 더 큰 변동을 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다.

국제항로표지협회(IALA)는 항로표지 국제표준을 개발하기 위해 항로표지의 설치 및 관리를 주관하는 기관으로 구성된 비 정부간 국제기구로서, e-Navigation을 고려하여 항로표지 분야의 정보 표준 개발을 위해 국제수로기구(IHO)의 S-100 표준을 적용하기로 결정하고, S-200의 이름으로 제품 표준(Product Specification)을 개발 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 IALA의 S-200 표준 개발 배경에 대해 검토하고, S-200의 제품 표준의 대표적인 사례인 S-210 IVEF, S-201 AtoN, S-220 MSI 등의 표준개발 현황과 계획을 정리 하였다. S-200 표준은 IALA가 핵심적으로 개발하는 표준이며, e-Navigation 체계에서의 각 서비스에서도 활용될 것으로 예상되므로, VTS 서비스 및 연구 담당자는 IALA의 S-200 표준 개발 내역 참조가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

21세기 정보화시대를 몇 개월 앞두고 전자상거래가 급팽창함에 따라, 인터넷 전자상거래는 이제 선택의 문제가 아니라, 기업이나 국가의 경쟁력 확보 및 생존을 위한 필수적인 전략으로 인식되고 있다. 최근 선진국들을 비롯하여 OECD 등 국제기구에서 인터넷 전자상거래에 관한 국제적 논의와 규범화 작업이 진행되고 있다. 그러므로 우리 나라도 이러한 인터넷 전자상거래시대에 대비한 국제경쟁력을 확보 하기 위해 정부와 민간의 협력을 기반으로 한 범국가적 대용방안의 수립이 필요한 시점에 와 있다. 이러한 상황하에서, 본 연구는 인터넷 전자상거래의 영향과 현황을 파악한 후, 이에 대한 국제규범화 동향과 주요 과제를 분석하여 우리 나라의 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.

e-navigation은 2006년부터 국제해사기구(IMO, International Maritime Organization), 국제항로표지기구(IALA, International Association of Lighthouse Authorities), 국제수로기구(IHO, International Hydrographic Organization) 등의 국제기구를 주축으로 한국, 일본, 영국, 노르웨이 및 독일 등 해운선진국에서 활발하게 개발되고 있다. IMO에서는 2012년까지 e-navigation 전략이행 계획 개발을 완료할 예정이며, 이후에는 전략이행 계획에 따라 e-navigation은 이행될 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 e-navigation개발에 대한 국제동향을 파악하고, 그 개발 내용을 분석하였으며, 육상측 e-navigation시스템으로써 중추적 역할을 하게 될 VTS의 발전 전망에 대하여 연구하였다.

동북아시아지역에서 인천국제공항이 최고의 허브공항으로서 역할을 위해서는 무엇보다도 환승율에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 판단된다. 인천국제공항은 2005년도에 3,054,485만명의 환승여객을 처리하여 환승율은 11.9% 를 기록하였는데 이는 동북아시아의 경쟁허브공항의 환승율인 30-40%와 비교해보면 공항경쟁력이 상당히 뒤쳐진다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 약점을 보완하기 위하여 여러 가지 관련 인자들을 검토하는 것이 중요하다고 판단되어지는데 그중에서 인천국제공항의 비행편최소연결시간(MCT)을 개선하는 것이 필요하다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해서는 항공기 스케줄, 항공사 배치, 게이트 배정방법, 수하물처리, 여객 동선 등이 함께 검토되어야 할 것이다. 그러나 이러한 인자들에 대한 세부적인 분석이 단기간에 걸쳐 해결되는 문제가 아니기 때문에 본 연구에서는 외국 허브공항의 MCT 수준, 관리방법, 국외사례 등을 고찰해 보고 동북아시아에서 허브공항을 향한 인천국제공항의 환승율 제고차원에서 정책적 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Within this thesis, the review and classification for research on Internet trade is mainly presented. It focused on subjects, Internet trade steps and research methodologies. One hundred eighty thesis topics were reviewed and all of this investigation has been completed between 1994 and November 2001. We found that Internet trade strategies are researched 19%, Global Internet law 7% and Contacts custom 5%. However, Internet trade theory, Electronic money, Internet trade dispute researches are founded very small portion on subjects review. Researches about Internet trade are recommended that perform though interdisciplinary research and various studies. Moreover, the research on Internet trade has to be based on the study on offline international trades and theories.

정보보호 분야의 국제표준화는 기술들의 특성 및 참여하는 사용자들의 관점에 따라 다양한 국제표준화기구에서 국제표준개발 및 관련 연구가 진행되고 있다. 즉, ITU-T SG17(보안)에서는 전기통신(Telecommunication) 관점에서 통신망에 적용 가능한 응용기술들을 중심으로 국제표준화가 추진되고 있으며, ISO/IEC JTC1/SC27(정보보호)에서는 정보보호 원천기술들에 대한 국제표준화를 다루며, IETF Security Area에서는 인터넷 서비스의 품질 보장 및 향상된 인터넷 환경 구축을 위한 산업체 중심의 사실표준을 추진하고 있다. 그리고 유럽 및 아시아 지역에서 국가간에 정보통신 표준화와 국제표준화 기구들에 대한 공동 대응을 위한 ETSI, ASTAP, CJK Security WG 등에서도 지역 내 정보보호 표준화 활동들이 이루어지고 있다. 또한, 이러한 국제표준기구는 참여하는 이해 당사자가 국가(National Body)인지 혹은 산업체 등의 이해당사자들 간에 참여인지에 따라 특성 또한 달라지며, 표준을 개발하는 절차가 공식적인 방법에 따른 것인지 이해 당사자들 간에 합의에 의한 것인지에 따라 구분될 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 2011년 11월, 두바이에서 개최된 ITU-T WTSA-12(세계정보통신표준총회) 국제회의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 4년간의 ITU-T SG17 국제표준화 활동 방향에 대한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.
