항만선택결정 연구 재고찰을 통한 국내 중소형 항만의 발전전략에 관한 연구

  • 물류환경의 급격한 변화와 함께 항만을 둘러싼 환경도 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이와 같은 항만환경의 급격한 변화는 동북아지역을 중심으로 한 전 세계 컨테이너 물동량의 급속한 증가, 정기선사의 경영전략 변화, 부두운영업의 글로벌화, 물류중심화 선점을 위한 경쟁 격화, 선박기술의 혁신 등으로 나타나고 있다. 항만의 운영 관리 책임자들이 이러한 변화를 예측하고 이에 신속히 대응하지 못하면 그 항만은 경쟁에서 뒤지게 된다. 국내외를 연결하는 항만 간 경쟁은 국제적인 것이 일반적이어서 우리나라 항만뿐만 아니라 이웃나라 항만과의 경쟁에서도 살아남아야 한다. 특히 우리나라 항만은 전 세계적으로 항만 간 경쟁이 가장 치열한 동북아 지역에 위치하고 있어 더욱 강력한 경쟁력을 확보하지 않으면 항만 간 경쟁에 뒤져 국제무대에서 사라질 수밖에 없다. 이에 본 논문에서는 대형항만을 중심으로 이루어진 항만선택결정요인에 대한 기존 연구들을 살펴보고 이를 재고찰하여 중소형항만에 적용시키고 향후 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근 고층건물 화재의 대표적 사례인 부산 해운대 우신골드스위트 주상복합건물 화재 확대의 주요 원인으로 작용했던 석유화학제품 중 배관보온재를 감싸고 있는 보온필름의 화재특성에 대해 연구를 하였다. 본 화재결과 배관보온필름이 화재취약성을 가지고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 하지만 명확한 법적규제가 없는 것과 시공비 절감을 위해 대부분의 공사업자들은 비난연제품으로 시공을 하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 잘못된 시공으로 인한 위험성을 알리고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 국내에서 생산된 마감용 배관 보온필름 네 종류를 사용하여 화재특성을 분석하였다. 네 종류 중 두 종류는 난연성능이 있는 제품이고 나머지 두 종류는 난연성능이 없는 제품으로 선정하였다. 실험은 제품의 열방출률을 알기위해 콘칼로리미터를 사용하였고 또한 실제 피트 내에 배관보온필름 화재를 묘사하기 위해 45도연소시험기를 사용하여 연소실험을 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine optimal transportation routes through the comparison of Korean - European transportation routes of automotive parts and to suggest information that can be utilized in Korea - Europe trade activities or trade route selection by establishing multipath. This study analyzed the direct transportation cost, inventory cost, and warehouse inventory cost of the sea and TSR / TCR railroad transport based on characteristics of automotive parts logistics and multimodal transportation. Also, this study identifies the most effective transportation route from the viewpoint of total logistics cost. In addition to the economic factors, we conducted an in-depth analysis through interviews with corporate executives to identify the importance of the factors with the behavioral factors, and the reliability was further secured through interviews. Through this study, it is possible to understand various aspects of international logistics by analyzing the factors of transportation choice in terms of economic and behavioral perspectives concurrently by differentiating from existing research.

A Study on Logistics Integration Strategies of Korean Shipping Companies (국내 해운기업의 물류통합 전략에 대한 연구)

  • After the COVID-19 pandemic, a global economic downturn and a recession in the shipping market are expected, it is important for domestic shipping companies to establish appropriate strategy in response to the recession. Accordingly, domestic shipping companies should grow into integrated logistics companies that combine shipping and logistics in the future. And for this purpose, it is necessary to actively promote logistics integration with external shipping and logistics companies. This paper presents the direction of logistics integration for domestic shipping companies to develop as integrated logistics operators with competitiveness in the global shipping market, and presents detailed alternatives. Domestic shipping companies lack the infrastructure such as ships, port terminals, and warehouses, so they have a weak capacity to independently promote logistics integration. At the shipping company level, a logistics integration promotion strategy should be established, and accordingly, logistics infrastructure, service network, and logistics integration operating system should be established. The government should provide tax benefits for logistics integration, financial support for M&As led by domestic shipping companies, a standardized information sharing system, and preparation of educational courses for nurturing digital manpower.

  • Recently, IMO STW Committee has released a model course of Bridge Resource Management. The Leadership and Teamwork among non-technical skills related to human factor is included at STCW 2010 Manila Amendments. Until now, the BRM education in Korea has been independently operated by each related educational institution, i.e., Shipping Company, University due to absence of model course. In this research the focus is on the simulation module among items for the BRM program. During the simulation from the BRM training, the trainee's reaction and popular functions on simulator have been investigated and analyzed to develop a simulation module for effective BRM education.

A Study on the Decision-Making Factors of Street Turn Platform (복화운송 플렛폼 사용의사 결정요인 분석에 대한 연구)

  • The Street Turn system in South Korea has been developing continuously with the advancement of information technology; however, this has not lead to an increase of the Street Turn transportation volume. As a result, this study presents the decision-making factors for using the system from the standpoint of users of the existing Street Turn transportation system. The people who have used domestic Street Turn transportation services or who are working in a shipping company were analyzed using Fuzzy-AHP. A total of five major factors and 17 detailed factors were derived from this analysis. As a result, timeliness was selected as the most important major factor, and in particular, the information provision time (0.207) was selected as the most important factor, followed by platform use process (0.079), and number of participating shippers (0.074).

Estimation of Greenhouse Gas Emission from Off-road Transportation (비도로 수송에 의한 온실 가스 배출량 추정)

  • Off-road transportation sector including construction equipment, ground support equipment in airport, cargo handling equipment and agroforestry machinery have not calculated as emission source classification in 1A3e2. In this study, the statistics of oil consumption for construction, aviation, shipping and agroforestry are separated for this sector by oil type. And the greenhouse gas emission by off-road transportation emission factor in 1996 & 2006 IPCC Guidelines are calculated and compared with each other. As a result, the nationwide $CO_2$ equivalent emission from off-road transportations by the emission factor of 1996 & 2006 IPCC Guidelines are calculated as 4,919 kton/yr and 5,530 kton/yr in 2007. The contribution ratio of off-road transportation emission by this study is estimated as 5.5% to the subtotal emission from on-road transport sector.

Development of the Deterioration Models for the Port Structures by the Multiple Regression Analysis and Markov Chain (다중 회귀분석 및 Markov Chain을 통한 항만시설물의 상태열화모델 개발)

  • In light of the significant increase in the quantities of goods transported and the development of the shipping industry, the frequency of usage of port structures has increased; yet, the government's budget for the shipping & port of SOC has been reduced. Port structures require systematically effective maintenance and management trends that address their growing frequency of usage. In order to construct a productive maintenance system, it is essential to develop deterioration models of port structures that consider various characteristics, such as location, type, use, constructed level, and state of maintenance. Processes for developing such deterioration models include examining factors that cause the structures to deteriorate, collecting data on deteriorating structures, and deciding methods of estimation. The techniques used for developing the deterioration models are multiple regression analysis and Markov chain theory. Multiple regression analysis can reflect changes over time and Markov chain theory can apply status changes based on a probabilistic method. Along with these processes, the deterioration models of open-type and gravity-type wharfs were suggested.

  • Along with a general growth in living standards there has been a corresponding increase in the demand for tourism. Cruise based tourism, in particular, has become one of the most dynamic and dramatic growth sectors in the tourism industry over the last 20 years, including in the Northeast Asian region. In line with the growth of passenger numbers, the number of cruise ships and their berth capacities has increased significantly since the late 1970s. Korea, as a peninsular nation, has also experienced a rapid growth in cruise passenger numbers. The national economy has greatly benefited from this as the industry acts as an income generator, creating new jobs and potential investments and in developing local tourism. Ports play an important role in the development of any national cruise industry, providing not only ship berths but supply and bunkering facilities and a gateway to local tourism opportunities. The selection of the optimal cruise port location is an important and complex problem because the decision makers have to consider a large number of criteria which have a significant effect on the economy, environment, human life, and society. This paper investigates those criteria that are significant in developing a successful cruise port by employing a questionnaire survey of major cruise port users - shipping companies and tourism companies. The ports, surveyed in this study are Busan, Incheon, Yeosu and Jeju. All have been identified as important potential cruise ports in the Korean Government's 'The 3rd Port Basic Plan (2011-2020)'.

Comparative Analysis on Competitiveness between Ports in Northeast Asia Employing Shift-share Analysis and DEA (변이할당기법과 DEA를 활용한 동북아시아 항만간 경쟁력 비교 분석)

  • Due to the recent development of globalization and supply chain management, growth of international trade has led to increasing cargo volume around the world. Since maritime logistics environments have changed, increased container ship size, improvement of harbor equipment, global port operation and rapid technological development have had an significant effects on shipping and port industry, which is contributing to competitiveness of port. Since a larger volume of port throughputs are generally regarded as an indicator of the more competitive port, inefficient port operation could reduce its competitiveness. On the other hand, high efficient ports could increase their competitive power while increasing cargo volume. This study aims at comparing competitiveness of the ports in the Northeast Asia by investigating changes of container throughputs and evaluating efficiency performance of ports. Shift-Share analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) have been conducted with 21 Northeast Asian ports and then separated them into 4 groups for comparative analysis to identify competitive position of each port. The results of this study show that Incheon and Gwangyang port have been decreased container cargo volume, while volume of Busan port would increase by means of active marketing, various route development and incentive policy for the port.
