A Study on Information Security Departmentalization Model (정보보호 전담조직 편성모델에 관한 연구)

  • Information security organization has normally been organized under the IT department. However, as the importance of information security has gradually increased, the way of information security organized for enterprise security management has become a noteworthy issue. The need for separation of Information security organization from IT department is growing, such as restriction on the concurrent positions in CIO and CISO. Nowadays there are many studies about Information security organization while relatively there has been minimal research regarding a departmentalization. For these reasons this study proposes a Information Security Departmentalization Model which is based on business risk and reliance on the IT for effectively organizing Information security organization, using Contingency theory. In addition, this study classified the position of Information security organization into Planning & Coordination, Internal Control, Management and IT and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each case.

The Relationship of Market Orientation, Organizational Learning and Innovativeness with New Product Development and Overall Performance (시장지향성, 조직학습, 혁신성이 신제품 개발과 기업의 전반적 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the antecedents of organizational innovativeness, which in turn influence firm performance that is composed of new product development performance and overall firm performance. We collected responses from C-level executives, and conducted a structural equation model analysis. Results revealed that organizational memory and market orientation influence organizational innovativeness, which in turn influence new product development performance and overall firm performance. However, interestingly, new product development performance was not found to affect overall firm performance. Based on these results, we have confirmed the importance of market orientation and organizational memory for organizational innovativeness. Practical implications related to the results are provided.

The Effects of Abusive Supervision on Subordinates' Organizational Identification and Workplace Deviance Behavior: The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction (상사의 비인격적 감독이 부하의 조직동일시와 조직일탈행동에 미치는 영향: 직무만족의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the mediating role that subordinates' job satisfaction might play in influencing the relationships between abusive supervision and subordinates' organizational identification and workplace deviance behavior(WDB-O). With data gathered from employees(N=281) representing a wide array of organizations, structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses. The results showed that abusive supervision is negatively related to job satisfaction and consequently organizational identification, positively associated with organizational deviance behavior through job satisfaction indirectly and has a direct effect on WDB-O.

연구개발의 세계화와 외국인 연구 인력의 활용 전략

  • 최근 과학기술 혁신 활동의 세계화 현상과 함께 한국의 연구개발 활동도 점차 세계화되고 있다. 그러나 한국의 연구개발 활동의 세계화 현상 및 바람직한 방향에 관한 연구는 별로 없다. 세계화에 따라 국내 연구개발 자원의 유출현상도 발생하지만, 해외 연구개발 자원을 활용할 수 있는 기회도 증가한다. 본 논문에서는 연구개발 활동의 세계화에 관한 흐름 및 개념을 제시하고, 국내 외국인 연구 인력의 활용 현황 및 활용성과 영향 요인을 조사하여 외국인 연구인력 활용 방안을 탐색하였다. 외국과의 연구자 교류는 1996년 현재 유입이 약 4,300명, 유출이 약 16,000명으로 유출이 크지만, 많은 규모는 아니다. 국내 활용 외국인 연구자의 경우 1998년에는 주춤하였지만 꾸준한 증가 추세에 있다. 외국인은 비선진국, 특히 러시아 및 중국의 연구자들을 많이 활용되고 있다. 활용 분야는, 기초, 응용, 개발 연구별로 고루 분포되어 있으며, 상대적으로 정보 전자통신, 에너지 및 자원 분야에서 활용을 많이 하고 있었다. 외국인 연구자들이 참가한 프로젝트는 한국에서 기술도입기나 기술성장기에 해당하는 프로젝트들이 거의 대부분이었다. 월평균 급여는 1,500,000원부터 2,300,000원 정도의 범위에 속했다. 활용 기간을 보면 50%이상이 1년 미만이었으며 2년 이상은 약 10%정도 수준으로 단기간 활용을 위주로 하고 있는 편이다. 외국인 연구자 활용의 이유로써는 외국인 연구자가 가지고 있는 과학기술 지식을 흡수하거나 공동으로 신기술 지식을 개발하려는 목적 등이 지원제도 이용 차원이나, 해외 연구 네트워크 구축, 단순한 연구인력 충원 차원 등의 목적보다 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기초과학 수준이 높은 북방권 국가들의 과학자들이 주로 활용되고 있다는 점에서도 잘 알 수 있으며 우리의 과학기술 약점을 보완하는 원천으로써 외국인 연구 인력이 대안이 되고 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 한국 연구 조직에서 일하는 외국인 연구자들의 동기 및 성과에 영향을 미치는 많은 요인들을 확인할 수 있었다. 상관관계, 분산분석, 회귀분석 등을 통해 활용 성과에 미치는 영향 요인들을 도출하였다. 설문 분석을 통하여 동기 및 성과 사이에는 강한 상관관계가 존재하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 이는 전통적인 동기 이론들과 부합한다. 대부분의 변수가 동기 및 성과에 동시에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며 그중에서도 조직 협력 문화, 외국인 연구자의 의사소통 및 협력성, 외국인 연구자의 연구 능력 관련 변수들 및 연구 프로젝트의 기술수명주기, 외국인 연구자의 기존 기술지식의 흡수 등이 가장 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 이는 우리가 주로 중국 및 러시아 과학자들을 활용하여 상업화하는 외국인 연구인력 활용 패턴과도 일치하는 결과이다. 즉 우호적인 조직문화를 가지고 있는 연구 조직에서, 이미 과학기술 지식을 많이 가지고 있고 연구 능력도 높은 외국인 과학기술자를, 한국에서 기술이 태동 또는 성장하고 있는 연구 분야에서 활용하는 것이 가장 성과가 좋다는 사실을 확인시켜 주고 있다. 국내에서 최초로 수행된 본 연구는 외국인 연구 인력의 활용 성과가 매우 높으며, 우리의 과학기술혁신시스템을 보완하는 유효한 수단으로써 외국인 연구 인력이 중요한 대안이 될 수 있음을 발견하였다. 외국인 연구 인력을 잘 활용하기 위하여 문제점 및 개선방안을 활용 환경, 연구 인력이 중요한 대안이 될 수 있음을 발견하였다. 외국인 연구 인력을 잘 활용하기 위하여 문제점 및 개선 방안을 활용 환경, 연구 인력관리. 인력 교류사업, 외국인 과학자 지원 창구 등으로 나누어서 정리하였다. 연구시설, 주거시설 등의 하드웨어적 환경에 대한 개선도 중요하지만 연구 인력의 관리 능력 제고, 인력 교류 사업의 개선, 정보 제공 등 소프트웨어적인 활용 능력을 제고하는데 정책적인 관심을 기울이는 것이 중요하다고 판단된다.

The impact of organizational socialization tactics on newcomers' organizational citizenship behaviors: The mediating effect of perceived organizational support (조직사회화 기법이 신입사원의 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 조직지원인식의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study investigates the impact of organizational socialization tactics on newcomers' organizational citizenship behaviors. We explains this relationship with the concept of perceived organizational support, which refers to the extent to which individuals perceive that the organization recognizes their contributions and takes care of their well-being. We expect that the more institutionalized the organization's socialization tactics are, the more organizational support individuals perceive, consequently increasing the performance of organizational citizenship behaviors. We performed a survey targeting 450 newcomers in domestic companies, and adopted 382 data for path analyses based on the structural equation modeling. As the result, in all the three dimensions of socialization tactics (content, context, social), the extent to which socialization tactics are institutionalized is positively related to the perception of organizational support. It also has the positive relationship with individuals' organizational citizenship behaviors, being fully mediated by the perceived organizational support. More specifically, context socialization tactics shows the highest level of impact both on the perceived organizational support and organizational citizenship behaviors, whereas social tactics has the lowest level of impact. These results imply that the range of effects the organizational socialization has on the newcomers' attitudes and behaviors should be more extended and detailed.

The impact of male-oriented organizational culture and work-job conflict on female correctional officers' stress (교정조직문화와 여성교도관들의 성차별적 스트레스요인에 대한 분석연구)

  • The prior studies have well established the factors of correctional staff's stress at work. However, it is not clearly identified gender-specific factors influencing female correctional officers' level of stress. Thus, this study aims to examine factors particularly influencing female correctional officers' stress, such as child-rearing and work conflict, overwork bounden, and strains from male-oriented organizational culture. This current data utilized a set of survey data drawn from female correctional officers from 124 prisons located in different regions in this nation. Finally, a total of 172 female correctional officers's survey data was used for the analysis. A set of multivariate analyses reveal that security staff role, satisfaction for life, positive perception toward correctional officers' leadership in prison decreased the risk of stress among female correctional officers. Regarding work-job conflicts variables, child-rearing and work conflict and strains from male-oriented organizational culture were significantly associated with female correctional officers' stress. Yet, the direction of the two variables were different. For female officers, child-rearing and work conflict was not a risk factor for stress in that i decreased the level of stress. But the variable of strains from male-oriented organizational culture was a risk factor for female officers' stress level. Further suggestions for the future studies, discussion on contributions of the current study and policy implications were discussed in the last part of this article.

  • Korea domestic casino industry has been experienced an explosive growth marking the highest quantity and quality with rapid growth of domestic economy since the 1960s. However there are really lack of study about presenting guideline for establishing risk management planning reflected characteristics of casino industry. Therefore, we analyzed previous studies about concept of the risk and criteria and drew dimension of safety supervision reflecting characteristics of casino industry. we, also, identified detailed safety management factors as well as classified three dimensions of environment, human and facility on the dimension of safety supervision. This study was designed to examine effect relationship between risk management factors and performance of security management organization focused on The mediation effect of atmosphere of organization We used two different tools for data analysis: SPSS 18.0 for the descriptive statistics and PLS 3.0 to validate the integrity of the research model and proposed hypotheses that is main effects from risk management factors to security management organization and mediation effects of atmosphere of organization. The data analysis confirmed the importance of risk management factors to enhanced performance of security management organization. The mediation effect of atmosphere of organization, also, supported relationship between risk management factors and performance of security management organization. It provided theoretical and practical implication for building risk management strategy well suited casino company and conducting security management.

  • This study focuses upon 'organizational members' well-being' in order to explain organizational innovativeness and performance. Based on a survey of organizational members in Korean firms, we find that supervisory trust, communication, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment as employee well-being variables had a significant influence upon explain organizational innovativeness. Additionally, our results also suggest the organizational innovativeness also had a positive influence on organizational performance. Overall, the study contributes to the literature by accounting for the importance of organizational members' well-being' when examining the organizational innovativeness/firm performance relationship.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between leisure experience and job-attitude and organizational citizenship behavior. And this study indicates how positive emotion affects the relationship between leisure experience and job-attitude and organizational citizenship behavior. The results from this study are as follows: First, leisure experience influenced significantly the positive emotion, the positive emotion was giving positive affection to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. Second, positive emotion mediated between leisure experience and job-attitude and organizational citizenship behavior. This study was giving us implications that positive emotion from leisure experience is more important than leisure activities themselves when we plan 'fun management'.

  • Nowadays, the domestic construction markets are more competitive and the construction companies are very difficult to obtain profits. To overcome this situation, some construction companies are looking for value added business areas. To create and enter into the value added business areas, knowledge management to create, share and apply knowledge is important. However, the existing knowledge management has problems because it does not consider organizational culture. Therefore, strategic changes of person and organization are needed to improve the existing knowledge management. In this study, learning organization plan is suggested as a foundation of knowledge management in the construction companies and examined by IIAC(Incheon International Airport Corporation) case.
