Influence of Earthquake Shape on the Dynamic Behavior of Fluid in a Rectangular Structure (사각형 구조물에 저장된 유체의 동적거동에 미치는 시간-가속도 형상의 영향)

  • In the case of fluid storage structure, hydrostatic pressure acts on the structure due to fluid surge during an earthquake. At this time, hydrodynamic pressure of the fluid charge not only by the strength of the earthquake but also by the sloshing height of the fluid. Factors affecting the change of load include the size, width and height of the fluid storage structure and height of fluid, time-history shape, etc. This paper wanted to identify the relationship between the earthquake shape and fluid free surface shape. The sloshing height measured the height of the fluid by applying earthquake to a tank whose width 500mm and comparison of the experiment and analysis. In addition, the shape of the fluid free surface was measured while varying the shape of earthquake and effective of the shape of earthquake of the fluid was analyzed.

The Structural Behavior and Performance by Span-to-Depth Ratio in Composite Structure of Sandwish System (셀 형상비에 따른 강.콘크리트 복합구조체의 구조적 거동 및 성능)

  • 이 논문은 샌드위치식 강-콘크리트 복합구조체에서 상하 강판과 격벽으로 구성되는 셀의 형상비가 거동과 성능에 미치는 영향을 다루었다. 이 구조체에서 셀 형상비는 하중전달 메카니즘과 하중분배능력을 변화시킨다. 따라서 셀 형상비에 따라 부재의 응력수준과 하중저항능력이 변화한다. 이 연구에서는 셀 형상비가 이 구조체의 거동과 성능에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해, 두 종류의 샌드위치식 복합구조체에 대해 다양한 셀 형상비를 설정하여 비선형 구조해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과로부터 셀 형상비에 따른 하중전달 메카니즘과 부채 응력에서의 차이점을 도출하였으며, 이들 차이점을 바탕으로 셀 형상비가 전단성능, 휨성능, 하중저항성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였고, 파괴모드와 연성에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 간략히 언급하였다. 연구결과, 셀 형상비가 증가함에 따라 하부 강판과 콘크리트의 응력수준이 낮아지는 결과를 나타내었다. 이것은 각 부재의 유효휨강성과 유효전단강성 증가를 나타내며, 따라서 구조체의 하중저항성능도 향상되는 것으로 판단된다. 특히 셀 형상비의 증가에 따른 성능향상에서 전단성능이 휨성능에 비해 더 큰 효과를 나타내며, 이러한 차이는 파괴모드와 연성에도 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단된다. 즉, 셀 형상비가 증가함에 따라 구조물의 거동 및 파괴모드는 점차적으로 전단에서 휨으로 변화하고, 이에 따라 구조물의 연성도 점차적으로 향상될 것으로 판단된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 반잠수식 Rig의 형상에 따른 최적 형상을 검토하기 위하여 최근 건조되고 있는 4-Column과 2-Lowhull 을 가진 원통형 Column과 4각 Column형을 공시모형으로 택하여 규칙파중 두 구조물에 작용하는 유체력과 유체력에 의한 운동 응답을 계산, 형상에 따른 유체 역학적 특성과 동요 진폭의 관계를 검토하였다. 수치계산은 3차원 특이점 분포법을 이용하여 정상상태에 대하여 실행하였다. 구조물의 형상과 역학적인 간섭의 영향을 이용, 보다 성능이 우수한 형상을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This study is a simulative Paper on scour around piers. As materials on the river bed have been changing through erosion, transportation and accumulation, so does the waterway's section. Analyzing them through the BOSS SMS. this study deals with the local-scour characters with the change of shapes in row piers which have been built in the identical direction of water flow.

Optimization to Control Buckling Temperature and Mode Shape through Continuous Thickness Variation of Composite Material (복합소재의 연속 두께 변화를 통한 좌굴온도 및 모드형상 최적화)

  • In this study, we presented a novel size optimization framework to control the linear buckling temperature and several buckling modes of plates, by optimizing thickness values of composite structures for practical engineering applications. Predicting the buckling temperature and mode shape of structures is a vital research topic in engineering to achieve structural stability. However, optimizing designs of engineering structures through engineering intuition is challenging. To address this limitation, we proposed a method that combines finite element simulation and size optimization. Based on the idea that the structural buckling temperature and mode shape of a plate are affected by the thickness of the structure, the thickness values of the nodes of the target structure were set as the design variables in this optimization method; and the buckling temperature values, and buckling mode shapes were set as the objective functions. This size optimization method enabled the determination of optimal thickness distributions, to induce the desired buckling temperature values and mode shapes. The validity of the proposed method was verified in terms of their buckling temperature values and buckling mode shapes, using several numerical examples of rectangular composite structures.

  • 본 연구에서는 반잠수식 Rig의 형상에 따른 최적 형상을 검토하기 위하여 최근 건조되고 있는 4-Column과 2-Lowhull을 가진 사각 Column에 원통형 Column을 혼합한 혼합형 과 4각 Column형을 공시모형으로 택하여 규칙파중 두 구조물에 작용하는 유체력과 유체력에 의한 운동 응답을 계산하고, 4각 Column을 가지는 구조물의 길이, 폭, 홀수를 변화시킨 Series 에 따른 유체 역학적 특성과 동요 진폭의 관계를 검토하였다. 수치계산은 3차원 특이점 분포법을 이용하여 정상상태에 대하여 실행하였다. 구조물의 형상과 역학적인 간섭의 영향을 이용, 보다 성능이 우수한 형상을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The transition is the zone where support stiffness suddenly increases in the railway industry. If the support stiffness increases, differential settlement will occur at the transition due to difference of stiffness, and the differential settlement causes problems for the train running safety and the roadbed that supports the track. In particular, a study on differential settlement at bridge-earthwork transition was only conducted to considering railway load in most cases. However, these studies have not taken account of earthquake despite earthquake has been occurred frequently in the recent, and it is necessary to consider earthquake. Therefore, in this study numerical analysis has been performed by changing the inclination of approach block, which determines the shape of the transition, and earthwork in order to verify the effect of the shape of the transition on the dynamic behavior at the bridge-earthwork transition. The result shows that the dynamic behavior at the bridge-earthwork transition was affected by the shape of transition.

Behavior of Columns Due to Variation of Performance Influencing Factors Based on Performance Based Design (성능기반설계에 기초한 성능영향인자 변화에 따른 기둥의 거동분석)

  • The performance evaluation of reinforcement concrete structure is carried out as a function of the following performance influencing factors: (1) the strength of concrete, (2) longitudinal reinforcement, (3) transverse reinforcement, (4) aspect ratio, and (5) axial force. With various values of the five parameters, eigenvalue analysis and non-linear static analysis were performed to investigate the structural yield displacement, yield basis shear force, and static performance of ductility ratio. In addition, the performance evaluation is carried out according to the modified capacity spectrum method (FEMA-440) using the results of non-linear static analysis, and the effect of each parameter on performance point is analyzed. Based on the result of eigenvalue analysis and non-linear static analysis indicates, that the natural period and the ductility ratio are affected more by the structural properties than the material properties. In case of the analysis of the criterion of performance points, the effect of section shape is one of the important factors together with natural period and ductility ratio.

Influence of Fluid Height and Structure width ratio on the Dynamic Behavior of Fluid in a Rectangular Structure (사각형 구조물에 저장된 유체의 동적거동에 유체높이와 구조물 폭의 비가 미치는 영향)

  • In the case of an earthquake, the fluid storage structure generates hydraulic pressure due to the fluctuation of the fluid. At this time, the hydraulic pressure of the fluid changes not only the peaked acceleration of the earthquake but also the sloshing height of the fluid free water surface. Factors influencing this change in load include the shape of the seismic wave, the maximum seismic strength, the size of the fluid storage structure, the width of the structure, and the height of the fluid. In this study, the effect of the ratio between the height of the fluid and the width of the structure was investigated on the fluctuation characteristics of the fluid. 200mm and 140mm of fluid were placed in a water storage tank with a width of 500mm, and a real seismic wave was applied to measure the shape of the fluctuation of the fluid free water surface. The similarity between the experiment and the analysis was verified through the S.P.H(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamic) technique, one of the numerical analysis techniques. It was confirmed that the free water surface of the fluid showed a similar shape, through comparison of experiment and analysis. And based on this results, SPH technique was applied to analyze the fluctuation shape of the fluid free water surface while varying the ratio between the fluid height and the structure width. An equation to predict the maximum and minimum heights of the fluid free water surface during an earthquake was proposed, and it was confirmed that the error between the maximum and minimum heights of the fluid free water surface predicted by the proposed equation was within a maximum of 3%.

  • 본 연구에서는 평판 스페이스 프레임 구조물의 크기 및 형상최적화 기법을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 평판 스페이스 프레임의 물량에 영향을 미치는 요소인 격자분할 수와 상 하부 평판사이의 높이를 주요 설계변수로 선정함으로써 부재크기 최적화뿐만 아니라 형상최적화 방안도 제시하였다. 또한 평판 스페이스 프레임의 절점 및 부재 자동생성방안이 고려되며 감도해석기법을 이용하여 개발된 최적화 프로그램을 예제모델에 적용하여 설계변수 변화에 따른 구조시스템의 최적의 대안을 강구하고자 한다.
