Thermal Response of Concrete in Steel-Concrete Composite Structure (복합구조 적용에 따른 콘크리트 열 응답)

  • This paper presents the thermal problems of steel-concrete composite structure and the basic references in placing concrete into the structure. Based on the analytical investigation, application of the composite structure has the effect of highly decreasing the temperature difference between the center section and the surface section of the structure, though its application has little influence on the decrement of the maximum temperature under the same using material and placing temperature. Meanwhile, its application causes the section decrement of a concrete structure, and in the section which the decrement ratio is relatively large, the restraint action by a old concrete structure takes place highly tensile stresses over a tensile strength. And, the stress is concentrated on sharp edges of the steel-concrete boundary. Both restraint action and stress concentration considerably decrease the reduction effect of the temperature difference. Therefore, the prediction of thermal response and the reasonable steps are required through the simulation considering the factors and the sections related to those problems.

Structural Analysis using Equivalent Models of Active Control Devices (능동형 제진장치의 등가모델을 이용한 구조해석)

  • In this paper, equivalent models for active control devices are proposed so that building structures with such devices are analyzed using commercial structural analysis programs for the assessment of the structural members under active vibration control. Equivalent link models represent active control device with a virtual linear spring and dashpot, and equivalent force models are control force history acting at the installation point in structural models. Active controllers are designed based on the reduced-order models for a vertical cantilever model and a high-rise building model and corresponding equivalent models are determined from control gain matrices. Based on acceleration, displacement and member force responses, the effectiveness of the equivalent models is verified. As a result, proposed equivalent models, of which equivalent link model showed better performance, appear to enable detailed investigation of structural behavior to the extent of member force level.

  • In this study, the stability of the low crested structure armoured by Tripod block has been investigated using two-dimensional hydraulic model tests. The effect of wave steepness and freeboard on the rock stability on crest, front, and the rear slope has been investigated. From the experimental data, the new empirical formula for the stability coefficients of the Tripod block was proposed. But Tripod is not proper to use the armour block of the low crested structure because the uplift force of this block is greater than that of Tetrapod and rock.

  • To evaluate the performance of safety apparatus without the full scale crash test, the computer simulation is inevitable. But, to improve the accuracy of computer simulation, it is important to reasonably determine the input parameters in which the interaction of vehicle-guardrail-soil should be accounted for. This study is focused on how to enhance the reliance of the dynamic performance of guardrail obtained by computer simulation. Analyses were done on the sensitivity of output variables to the change of input parameters by using BARRIER VII of which the usefulness was proved on the barrier-vehicle impact analysis. Through the analyses important input parameters, which give sensitive effects to output of computer simulation, are found out, and methods to determine such parameters are suggested to improve the accuracy of simulation.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a design method of tower service lift for offshore wind power system, as well as to conduct structure analysis of the service lift system. The service lift system will be built in the internal area of tower of the offshore wind power system. Design and structure analysis for the tower service lift system are conducted to clarify the stability and reliability of the system. Main objective of the design is to secure sufficient capability of transportation of workers and equipment with satisfactory performance within the designed tolerance limit. Total deformation and equivalent stress of the lift system by external load are examined using the results of structure analysis.

  • In this study, to develop composite bridge deck of many advantages such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and high durability, profile design, laminate design and finite element analysis were carried out. In the analysis, 5-girder single span bridge with composite deck was considered. Deflection serviceability, failure criteria and web buckling were evaluated. Composite deck of designed profile was fabricated with pultrusion process. The coupon tests were conducted for the fabricated deck and the results were described.

  • In this paper, systematic analyses for the shoring systems installed to support applied loads during construction are performed on the basis of the numerical approach introduced in the previous study. Structural behaviors require changes in design variables such as types of shoring systems, shore stiffness and shore spacing. In this paper, the design variable are analyzed and discussed. The time dependent deformations of concrete and construction sequences of frame structures are also taken into account to minimize structural instability and to improve design of shoring system, because those effects may increase axial forces delivered to shores. From many parametric studies, it can be recommended that the most effective shoring system is 2SlR(two shores and one reshore)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내에서 아직 기준이 마련되지 않은 제진설계에 대한 접근을 소개하였다. ASCE 7-05 기준에 근거하여 국내 5층 규모의 철근콘크리트 신축 건물에 제진 설계를 수행하였다. 우리나라의 현행 기준을 만족하면서 효과적인 제진 시스템 설계를 위한 방법을 소개한다. ASCE 7-05 기준에서는 제진 구조물 해석 시 부재력이 공칭강도의 1.5배를 초과하지 않은 경우 경계비선형 해석을 허용하고 있다. 이 때의 제진 설계 프로세스는 기존의 중력하중 및 등가정적하중의 75%에 의한 단면을 가정하여 부재설계를 실시하고, 선형 시간이력 해석을 통해 제진장치 및 가새를 설계한다. 이후 우리나라 실정에 맞도록 보정된 인공 지진파를 입력하여 경계비선형 해석을 실시하고, 밑면 전단력 및 층간변위 등의 만족여부를 검토한다. 이 때 목표성능을 완전탄성설계 또는 유사탄성설계로 정하여 목표성능을 만족하는지도 검토하여야 한다. 본 논문에 적용한 신축 건물은 유사탄성 설계를 위해 경계비선형 해석을 실시하였고, 가장 효과적인 제진 설계를 위해 댐퍼의 종류, 설치방법, 개수, 변위 증폭비 등을 변수로 한 case study를 진행하였다. 해석 결과 목표성능을 만족하는 범위 내에서 가장 효과적인 제진 설계는 점성댐퍼, 이층 토글형태, 증폭비 2.0, 총 8개의 댐퍼를 설치하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 최근 도심의 건물들은 수요자의 요구에 따라 평면이 다양화 되어가고 토지의 효율을 높이기 위하여 초고층화 되어가는 경향이 있다. 심지어 전통적인 공동주택의 개념으로 지어지는 아파트도 그 높이가 100m를 상회하는 경우가 대부분이다. 현재 국내의 구조설계 시 구조물의 동적특성 요소를 반영하는 고유 진동수는 주로 미국의 지진자료를 바탕으로 계산되게 되어있으며, 기존 연구결과 실측결과가 상당한 차이를 보이고 있어 이에 대한 검토가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 내진설계의 기본이 되는 건물의 고유주기를 측정하고 내진성능을 평가하여, 보다 경제적인 내진설계 방안에 대한 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 벽식구조건물의 경우 구조설계 기준에서 제시하는 지진하중을 산정할 때, 실무자들이 구조형식을 선택하기가 곤란하여 어떤 주기산정 식을 사용해야 할지 혼란스러워 하는 경우가 많으므로, 기타 골조 식과 전단벽 식을 고려하는 경우를 구조물의 상시 미진동을 측정하여 고유 진동수 및 고유 주기를 비교하여 제시하였다. 연구결과 기타 골조 식에 의해 계산된 값은 매우 보수적으로 나타나서 이에 대한 검토도 필요하다고 사료된다.

Evaluation on Structural Stability of Railway Level Crossing System using Rubber Panel by High Speed Train Gust (고무보판 패널 철도건널목 시스템의 고속열차 풍하중에 대한 구조 안정성 분석)

  • In this study, the structural stability of the railway level crossing system using rubber panel for high speed lines was investigated by applying the specification for wind load conditions (Train gust) of high speed train (300km/h and 360km/h). A finite element analysis using three-dimensional modeling was carried out by applying the field conditions that was installed with the complicated configuration of the rubber plate panel system. As a result of this study, the structural stability of the rubber plate panel system for high speed train gust was analytically verified.
