  • In preparation of self-repairing polymer-modified waterproofing asphalt-montmorillonite (MMT) composite, silylation-modification characteristics of cation ($Na^+$) exchanged K-10 (Na-MMT-K) using 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS) were studied and the optimal conditions of its silylation-modification process were proposed by use of the results of instrumental analysis, including FTIR, XRD, NMR and TGA, on silylation-modified Na-MMT-K (S-Na-MMT-K) under various conditions. According to FTIR analysis on S-Na-MMT-K, its peak-strengths of Si-O, -$NH_2$, -$CH_2$- and -OH, correlated with APS silylation-modification reaction, were compared each other. As a result, its optimal conditions including APS-MMT reacting period, APS-stirring period prior to APS-MMT reaction, APS concentration and reaction temperature were turned out to be 2~3 h, 20 min, 7.5 w/v% and $50^{\circ}C$, respectively. In addition, the optimal conditions induced from the results of TGA were also nearly consistent to those according to the results of FTIR analyses. These optimal conditions were turned out to be almost consistent to those drawn according to a criterion from XRD results suggested previously by Lee et al., by which the criterion was validated.

  • Recently indoor navigation with indoor map such as Indoor Google Maps is served. For the services, constructing indoor data are required. CityGML and IFC are widely used as standards for representing indoor data. The data models contains spatial information for the indoor visualization and analysis, but indoor navigation requires semantic and topological information like graph as well as geometry. For this reason, IndoorGML, which is a GML3 application schema and data model for representation, storage and exchange of indoor geoinformation, is under standardization of OGC. IndoorGML can directly describe geometric property and refer elements in external documents. Because a lot of data in CityGML or IFC have been constructed, a huge amount of construction time and cost for IndoorGML data will be reduced if CityGML can help generate data in IndoorGML. Thus, this paper suggest practical use of CityGML including deriving from and link to CityGML. We analyze relationships between IndoorGML and CityGML. In this paper, issues and solutions for linkage of IndoorGML and CityGML are addressed.

Magnetic Properties of Spin Valve Ta Underlayer Depending on N2 Concentration and Annealing Temperature (스핀 밸브 Ta 하지층의 질소함유량 변화와 열처리 온도에 따른 자기적 특성)

  • In this research, magnetic properties and annealing effects of the spin valve structures were investigated, which have Ta underlayer deposited with Ar and $N_2$ gas mixture. Also, TaN underlayer as a diffusion barrier and the substrate were investigated. The structure of the spin valve was Si($SiO_2$)/Ta(TaN)/NiFe/CoFe/Cu/CoFe/FeMn/Ta. Deposition rate was decreased and resistivity and roughness of the TaN films were increased as the $N_2$ gas flow was increased. The XRD results after high temperature annealing showed that Silicides were created in Si/Ta layer, but not in Si/TaN layer. Magnetoresistance ratio (MR) and exchange coupling field ($H_{ex}$) were decreased when the $N_2$ gas flow was increased over 4.0 sccm. The MR of the spin valves with Ta and TaN films deposited with up to 4.0 sccm of $N_2$ gas flow was increased about $0.5\%$ until the annealing temperature of up to $200^{\circ}C$ and then, decreased. TaN film deposited with 8.0 sccm of $N_2$ gas flow showed twice the adhesion of the Ta film. The above results indicate that with 3.0 sccm of $N_2$ gas flow during the Ta underlayer deposition, the magnetic properties of the spin valves are maintained, while the underlayer may be used as a diffusion barrier and the adhesion between the Si substrate and the underlayer is increased.

  • We investigated the immunological function of cheese whey protein concentrate (CWPC), which is a by-product of cheese production, using mitogenic activity in murine splenocytes as an index. A fraction isolated by gel filtration and anion exchange chromatography of CWPC showed high mitogenic activity, comparable to the activity of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The fraction was detected as a single band on SDS-PAGE. It contained calcium, inorganic phosphorus, and carbo-hydrate, indicating the active component to be a glycophosphopeptide (GPP) Since pronase digestion of GPP did not reduce its mitogenic activity, carbohydrate rather than peptide may be important in the activity, When applied on an anti-${\beta}$-caseinophosphopeptide (${\beta}$-CPP ) antibody affinity column, the GPP was separated into two components, one with affinity to ${\beta}$-CPP and the other without such affinity. Both the components contained N-linked oligosaccharide chains and had the mitogenic activity. These results demonstrate that cheese whey contains a GPP having strong mitogenic activity

Seasonal Monitoring of Residual Veterinary Antibiotics in Agricultural Soil, Surface Water and Sediment Adjacent to a Poultry Manure Composting Facility (계분 퇴비화 시설 인근 농경지 토양, 지표수 및 저질토의 계절별 잔류 항생물질 모니터링)

  • Concentration of antibiotics including a tetracycline group (TCs) of tetracycline (TC), chlortetracycline (CTC), and oxytetracycline (OTC), a sulfonamide group (SAs) of sulfamethoxazole (SMX), sulfathiazole (STZ), and sulfamethazine (SMT), an ionophore group (IPs) of lasalocid (LSL), monensin (MNS), and salinomycin (SLM), and a macrolide group (MLs) of tylosin (TYL) was determined from samples collected from the agricultural soil, stream water, and sediment. For the agricultural soil samples, the concentration of TCs had the highest value among all tested antibiotic's groups due to its high accumulation rate on the surface soils. The lower concentrations of SAs in the agricultural soils may be resulted from its lower usage and lower distribution coefficient (Kd) compared to TCs. The concentration of TCs in stream water was significantly increased through June to September. It would be likely due to soil loss during an intensive rainfall event and a reduction of water level after the monsoon season. A significant amount of TCs in the sediment was also detected due to its accumulation from runoff, which occurred by complexation of divalent cations, ion exchange, and hydrogen bonding among humic acid molecules. To ensure environmental or human safety, continuous monitoring of antibiotics residues in surrounding ecosystems and systematic approach to the occurrence mechanism of antibiotic resistant bacteria are required.

  • The goal of the SmartGrid is to maximize energy efficiency by exchanging bi-directional real-time power information with the help of ICT(Information and Communication Technology). In this paper, we propose a "JRS-MS" (Joint Routing and Scheduling for Multi-channel SmartGrid) algorithm that uses numerical modeling methods in IEEE 802.11s based STDMA multi-channel SmartGrid NAN networks. The proposed algorithm controls the amount of data transmission adaptively at the link layer and finds a high data-rate path which has the least interference between traffic flows in multi-channel SmartGrid NAN networks. The proposed algorithm improve transmission performance by enhancing network utilization. By comparing the results of performance analysis between the proposed algorithm and the JRS-SG algorithm in the previous paper, we showed that the JRS-MS algorithm can improve transmission performance by maximally utilizing given network resources when the number of flows are increasing in the multi-hop NAN wireless mesh networks.

The Distribution Characteristics and Contamination of Heavy Metals in Soil from Dalcheon Mine (달천광산 토양 내 중금속의 존재형태 및 오염도)

  • The geochemical partitioning of arsenic in contaminated soils from a of wet land and tailing of the abandoned mine is examined. Chemical analysis and sequential extraction method by ultrasound-sonication extraction are applied to investigate the mobility and chemical existence conditions of arsenic as well as heavy metals. The results of this study showed that heavy metals concentration of tailings showed as a following order: Fe > As > Cu > Pb > Cr. The highest metal concentration was recognized in samples less than $63\;{\mu}m$ fraction in their particle sizes. Exchangeable and carbonate fractions in soil samples showed following Cu > As > Pb > Fe > Cr for tailings, and Fe > Pb > Cu > As > Cr for reservoir soils, respectively. Arsenic was bound as exchangeable fraction in tailings and its concentration appeared higher than those of the other metals. Thus, As can be easily dispersed into soil and water environments. The obtained results can be used to design soil remediation plan in the study area and require further detailed study to investigate severe environmental pollution of surface water as well as rivers with respect to heavy metals in terms of speciation analysis of toxic elements such as As and Cr.

Copper Isotope Measurements Using a Neptune MC-ICP-MS (다검출기 유도결합 플라즈마 질량분석기를 이용한 구리 동위원소 분석법)

  • Copper is an essential transition metal involving in various biogeochemical processes. With the recent advances in analytical techniques and mass spectrometry, such as MC-ICP-MS, it is possible to measure Cu isotopes, which allows us to understand various biogeochemical processes in detail. Nonetheless, few studies have been performed in South Korea. In this study, we compared two purification methods previously reported using an anion exchange resin ($AG^{(R)}$ MP-1M), developed the best method in our lab environment, and then verified it by measuring Cu isotopic compositions in two USGS geological reference materials (BHVO-2 and BIR-1a). Although all matrix cations causing mass bias were effectively removed through both two methods with the yield of better than 95%, the method using the mixture of HCl and $H_2O_2$ only displays Cu isotopic compositions, in excellent agreement with reported values within the error. The method developed in this study is expected to be commonly applied to earth and environmental sciences.

Modeling of thermal fluidized desorption for diesel-oil contaminated soils (Diesel-oil에 오염된 토양의 유동상 열탈착 모델링)

  • Fluidized-bed thermal desorber coupled with a heat pipe was investigated for the remediation of soil contaminated with diesel oils. Thermal gravimetric analysis by Cahn-balance indicated that the desorption of diesel oils from the soil particles was mainly governed by the internal diffusion at low concentration of less than 0.5 wt. % of oils in the soil particles. In fluidized-bed experiments. increase of fluidizing gas velocity reduced the residual oils of the contaminated soils, the increase of soil feed rate decreased efficiency of fluidized-bed desorber. A mathematical model was developed by incorporating Fickian diffusion kinetics into the Kunii-Levenspiel model Simulation results showed reasonable agreement for the performance of fluidized-bed thermal desorber.

  • Ad-hoc 환경의 응용은 재난구조나 회의실 또는 강의실에서의 정보 교환과 같은 그룹 통에서 이용된다. Ad-hoc 환경은 무선 채널을 이용하므로 상대적인 낮은 대역폭과 높은 오류 발생률을 가지게 된다. 따라서 Ad-hoc 네트워크에서는 신뢰적인 전송이 요구된다. 이동 노드는 상대적으로 낮은 성능과 에너지의 제한으로 인해 유선 환경과 같은 신뢰적인 전송 기법을 Ad-hoc 환경에 적용하기에는 문제가 발생한다. Ad-hoc 환경의 무선 채널이 가지는 보안적인 취약성과 높은 에러율을 극복하는 신뢰적인 그룹 키 전송을 위한 재전송 기법을 제안한다. 신뢰적인 트리 형성하기 위해 n차 트리 구조를 이용한다. 손실 감지를 위한 ACK 메시지를 이용하고 손실 복구를 위한 재전송 기법에 대해 연구를 한다. 제안한 신뢰적인 그룹 키 전송을 위한 재전송 기법은 트리의 깊이의 차수가 루트 관리 노드, 서브 관리 노드와 로컬 멤버 노드로 구성되기 때문에 손실 감지와 손실 복구에 대한 연산의 오버헤드가 적다. 루트 관리 노드는 멤버 노드로부터 받은 개인키 정보를 이용하여 그룹 키를 생성하고 그룹 키 부분 정보를 서브 관리 노드에게 전송하고 서브 관리 노드에 대한 신뢰성을 책임진다. 서브 관리 노드는 루트 관리 노드로부터 받은 그룹 키 부분 정보를 로컬 멤버 노드에게 전송하고 로컬 멤버 노드에 대한 신뢰성을 책임진다. 루트 관리 노드와 서브 관리 노드를 관리 노드라 한다. 관리 노드가 신뢰적인 전송을 위해 관리하는 멤버 노드는 전체 그룹에 독립적으로 유지 가능하므로 확장성 및 효율성이 좋다. 관리 노드는 동적인 그룹에 따른 타이머를 설정함으로써 손실 감지에 대한 시간을 줄임으로써 효율적인 손실 감지 및 손실 복구를 한다. 임계값 설정으로 인한 중복 수신에 대한 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있다.신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 Load Balancing System을 제안한다.할 때 가장 효과적인 라우팅 프로토콜이라고 할 수 있다.iRNA 상의 의존관계를 분석할 수 있었다.수안보 등 지역에서 나타난다 이러한 이상대 주변에는 대개 온천이 발달되어 있었거나 새로 개발되어 있는 곳이다. 온천에 이용하고 있는 시추공의 자료는 배제하였으나 온천이응으로 직접적으로 영향을 받지 않은 시추공의 자료는 사용하였다 이러한 온천 주변 지역이라 하더라도 실제는 온천의 pumping 으로 인한 대류현상으로 주변 일대의 온도를 올려놓았기 때문에 비교적 높은 지열류량 값을 보인다. 한편 한반도 남동부 일대는 이번 추가된 자료에 의해 새로운 지열류량 분포 변화가 나타났다 강원 북부 오색온천지역 부근에서 높은 지열류량 분포를 보이며 또한 우리나라 대단층 중의 하나인 양산단층과 같은 방향으로 발달한 밀양단층, 모량단층, 동래단층 등 주변부로 NNE-SSW 방향의 지열류량 이상대가 발달한다. 이것으로 볼 때 지열류량은 지질구조와 무관하지 않음을 파악할 수 있다. 특히 이러한 단층대 주변은 지열수의 순환이 깊은 심도까지 가능하므로 이러한 대류현상으로 지표부근까지 높은 지온 전달이 되어 나타나는 것으로 판단된다.의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{99m}Tc$-transierrin이 감염 병소의 영상진단에 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.리를 정량화 하였다. 특히 선조체에서의 도파민 유리에 의한 수용체 결합능의 감소는 흡연에 의한 혈중 니코틴의 축
