Feasibility Study on the Introduction of the Transfer-Traffic System to Tourist Resorts (Focused on Naejang Mt. National Park) (관광지 환승 교통시스템 도입 타당성에 관한 연구 (내장산국립공원을 중심으로))

  • Tour traffic takes largely place at certain limited period of time so that it is desirable to adopt some kind of software-typed approaches like the introduction of a new traffic system rather than hardware-typed ones of extension or construction of roads, and which naturally leads to the need of establishing a new tour traffic policy that makes the most profit at the lowest cost. In this research, I studied cognitive characteristics of traffic congestion of tour traffic and non-tour traffic and constructed a transfer traffic-choice behavior model for the introduction of transfer-traffic system and examined its influence factors. As a result, it is revealed that respondents feel much more the cognitive strength of traffic congestion at tourist resorts than they feel usually at non-tourist sites. That means the necessity of the introduction of the policy that enhances access to tourist resorts. In closing, through the transfer-traffic choice behavior model, I identified the fact that the introduction of transfer-traffic system could convert the trend of highly frequent use of passenger cars on tourism season into public transportation use, which shows that relevant policy-makers ultimately need to make a comprehensive policy considering traffic aspect in revitalizing tour resorts.

A Study on Physical Activity by Transportation Mode Using Heart Rate (심박수를 활용한 교통수단별 신체활동 정보 분석 연구)

  • Recently, with the development of various sensors and communication technologies, the market for wearable devices capable of recording physical activity in connection with a smartphone is expanding. The purpose of this study is to analyze physical activity for each transportation modes in order to utilize wearable devices in the field of transportation. This study consists of three steps: data collection, basic statistical analysis, and physical activity analysis. Four adult males and females were recruited as investigators, and physical activity and route information were collected through Fitbit, a commercial wearable device. From the collected physical activity information, a percentage of heart rate reserve (%HRR) using a heart rate was derived and used for analysis. As a results, it was found that there is a statistically significant difference in heart rate for each transportation mode, and physical activity intensity is the highest when walking. In addition, the results of physical activity analysis for the case of using different routes for the same OD were presented. The results presented in this study are expected to be used as basic data for preparing public transportation activation policies and providing customized services for the future.

  • 최근 우리나라는 기후변화의 영향으로 다목적댐 저수율이 예년에 비해 크게 줄어들어 정상적인 용수공급에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 지구온난화로 인한 기후변화의 가속화는 가뭄의 강도와 발생 빈도를 증가시켜 정상적인 용수공급은 앞으로 더욱 어려워질 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 기후변화에 대처할 수 있는 용수공급 방안이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 합천댐의 용수공급능력 분석을 위해 CMIP5 GCM 기후변화 시나리오에 따른 합천댐의 용수공급 능력을 분석하였다. 용수공급능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 비구조적 대안으로 다목적댐의 용수공급 조정기준 및 다목적댐의 비상용량을 활용하였다. 기후변화에 따른 분석기간은 21세기 초기(2011-2040년, 30년), 21세기 중기(2041-2070년, 30년), 21세기 후기(2071-2099년, 29년)로 설정하였다. 저수지 모의운영을 위해 저수지 모의운영 프로그램인 HEC-ResSim을 이용하였다. 또한 용수공급 능력을 평가하기 위한 지표로 용수공급의 신뢰도와 회복도, 취약도 등을 산정하고 그 결과를 비교 분석하였다.

Compressive Strength Properties of Steam-Cured Low Cement Mortar (증기양생한 저시멘트 모르타르의 압축강도 특성)

  • This study evaluated the compressive strength after making mortar with low cement composition for carbon-neutral steam curing to respond to climate change. Blast furnace slag, fly ash, and ultra-high powder fly ash were used as substitutes for cement. The cement substitute was used at 40% of the mass of cement, and after steam curing, the compressive strength was measured on the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 28th days of age. As a result of the experiment, at the age of 1 day, the mixture using only cement showed the highest strength, but from the 3rd day, the specimen using ultra-high powder showed a high strength development rate, followed by blast furnace slag and fly ash.

Accident Reduction Effectiveness of Safety Management Programs for a Commercial Transport Company (운수업체의 안전관리를 통한 교통사고 감소 효과분석 (천사 2020 프로젝트를 중심으로))

  • This study discusses the effectiveness of safety management programs resulted from examining crash data collected during the period of implementation of the programs by a commercial transport company. For the analysis, two tye of comparison approaches are adopted: 1) a study comparing before-after of the implementation of a safety program, and 2) a study comparing a traffic accident index for various target groups. Technically, the effect of the safety management program is derived by eliminating both the 'regression to the mean' and the changing trend in the traffic accident index. The results show that safety management programs are effective to prevent traffic accidents, whereas company type appears irrelevant. The results also show that the effectiveness is significantly different depending on the intensity of safety management program and company size. In addition, a reciprocal effect is very likely to existamong the combination of these variables. This indicates that in order to improve the accident reduction effectiveness of such programs, the development and application of safety management programs based on both safety management strength and company size are required.

An Experimental Study on the Effects of Early-age Vibrations for Properties of Concrete (진동이 양생초기 콘크리트에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • 최근 들어 교통난 해소를 위한 도로확폭 공사나 파일항타 및 발파 등의 공사가 많이 진행되고 있으며, 이러한 경우 진동의 영향으로 콘크리트의 품질 저하에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 진동과 굳지 않은 콘크리트에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 실험변수를 진동속도, 진동발생점등으로 나누어, 콘크리트의 압축강도, 부착강도를 측정하였다. 또한 응결시간을 측정하여 외부 진동용인이 응력에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 진동속도는 0.25cm/sec ~4.2cm/sec까지 변화시켰고, 진동가력시점은 타설 직후(0시간)부터 타설 후 2, 4, 6, 12 시간 후 에 진동을 가하였다. 본 연구의 실험 결과 진동속도 0.25cm/sec 에서는 압축 강도와 부착강도가 증가하는 반면에 진동속도 0.5cm/sec 이상에서는 압축강도는 5~12% 정도 감소하고 부착강도도 이와 유사하게 감소하는 것으로나타나고 있다. 응결시간은 0.25cm/sec의 작은 진동에서는 영향이 거의 없으나 0.5cm/sec 이상에서는 타설 직후의 진동시 응결시간이 다소 빨라지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과, 양생초기 콘크리트의 진동 허용치는 약 0.3~0.4cm/sec 로 나타나고 있으며, 이것은 앞으로 실제 구조물의 시공시 진동규제치로서 하나의 유용한 자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 오늘날의 빌딩이나 역사(驛舍)는 쾌적함을 위해 조명설비, 공조설비, 위생설비, 엘리베이터, 에스컬레이터, 방범방재설비, 통신정보설비 등이 잘 정비되어 있으며, 그 기기 모두는 전기로 작동되고 있다. 빌딩이나 교통전원설비의 리뉴얼공사를 하는 데는 어떻게 빌딩과 교통설비의 기능을 정지하지 않고 단기간에 완성하는가가 중요 포인트가 된다. 미쓰비시(삼릉)전기 플랜트건설총괄부에서는 고객니즈에 대한 검토뿐만 아니라 주변지역에 주는 영향도 충분히 조사하여 빌딩이나 철도 역사에 출입하는 사람들의 안전과 일상생활을 배려한 계획을 세워, 그 시공장소에 적합한 공법 개선과 최적의 기자재 공법을 개발하고 추진하여 안전$\cdot$품질을 충분히 고려한 현지시공을 실시하고 있다. (1) 반입공법 빌딩과 교통시설의 전원설비는 고층이나 지하에 설치되는 일이 많고 건물의 성질상, 전용 반입설비가 확보되어 있지 않는 것이 통상적이다. 동사에서는 고소반입용기기 ''뉴톤밸런스''((1))와 계단용반입기기 ''계단승강기''((2))를 개발하여 단(短)공기로 지역주민이나 빌딩 이용자에게 지장을 주지 않는 공법을 채용하여 높은 평가를 받고 있다. Enhanced Durability Performance of High Early Strength Concrete for Early Traffic Opening (조기교통개방 콘크리트의 내구성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • The internal or external restraint of thermal and dry shrinkage movements could thus generate tensile stresses in concrete pavement for early traffic opening. Restrained shrinkage and thermal stresses could produce microcracks in concrete which increase its permeability and accelerate its long-term deterioration under weathering and load effects. Fiber reinforced concrete is an effective approach to the control of microcrack and crack development under tensile stresses. This study aims at evaluation of the durability of high early strength concrete for early traffic opening and increase of service life. Three different types of regulated-set cement which recently has been used much in Korea were adopted. Fibers were added and their mixtures were compared with plain high early strength concrete mixture. The use of fibers increased durability performance of high early strength concrete using regulated-set cement than the corresponding plain mixtures.

A Study of the Analysis on the Accident Reduction Effect of the Median (중앙분리대의 사고감소효과 분석에 관한 연구)

  • A median is a safety feature most commonly used to separate opposing traffic on a divided highway. In designing highways, the selection and installation of a median can be a critical part from a safety viewpoint because road crossing accidents are definitely more serious than other accidents. In regard to the important function of the median. the proper countermeasure ought to have been provided and thorough study should have been carried out. In this paper, traffic accident data are analyzed to examine the accident reduction effect of the median, which are gathered from all over 4-lane national roads in Korea. The traffic accident data were categorized into two groups by the existence of a median. For more effective analysis, the data have been classified by accident type, severity. and occurrence time. To compare the effectiveness of median installation, not only the accident frequency but also the accident severity, EPDO. and the occupancy rate of specific accidents have been used as a mode of effectiveness. The analysis of the effectiveness of medians shows that both the accident frequency and the accident severity could decrease by providing a median. Also the section where a median was supplied showed the improvement of overall safety through fewer serious and fatal crashes as well as fewer head-on crashes. Therefore, conclusions can be drawn from results of this study that the median installation is an important means to increase the safety of over 4-lane national roads. This study is expected to provide the reasonability of the median installation by identifying the reduction of traffic accident after the median installation and to play a major role in selecting sections where the median is to be offered.
