A Study on Improved Sum Rate of Cross-Correlated SC NOMA toward 6G URLLC (6G URLLC를 지향한 교차 상관 관계 중첩 코딩을 사용하는 비직교 다중 접속의 향상된 총 전송률에 관한 연구)

  • Since recently only an auto-correlated superposition coding (SC) scheme for non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) has been investigated, this paper proposes a cross-correlated SC scheme for NOMA. First, we derive the closed-form expression of the sum rate of the proposed cross-correlated SC scheme. Then, numerical analyses demonstrate that the sum rate of the proposed cross-correlated SC scheme is larger than that of the conventional auto-correlated SC scheme. We also show that for the stronger channel gain user, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain of the proposed cross-correlated SC scheme is about 15, compared with the conventional auto-correlated SC scheme. As a result, the proposed cross-correlated SC scheme could be a promising technology for 6G ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC).

The cross-cultural comparison of facial attractiveness (얼굴 매력의 교차문화적 비교)

  • With an assumption that the view point of a given society and time on facial attractiveness can be inferred by analyzing popular stars' faces, the cross-cultural differences in the physical measures of Korean and foreign stars were investigated. A classification model of affective facial impressions was used to obtain the physical measures of the faces and classifying them into a face-type category. The number of face images analyzed in the study were 297 in total: 94 Korean stars, and 203 foreign stars. The results show that the common characteristics found in the cross-cultural analyses of Western and Eastern stars was a sharp face.

창원 강변여과수 취수지역의 지하수위와 낙동강 수위의 연관성 분석

  • 시계열 분석 기법을 통하여 창원시 대산면 갈전리 강변여과수 취수지역의 지하수위와 하천수위와의 연관성을 살펴보았다. 연구지역의 6개 관측공의 30분 간격의 지하수위의 자기상관성을 분석한 결과, 세 개의 그룹으로 나타난다. 이 세 그룹은 낙동강으로부터 가까운 거리에 있으며 강한 자기상관성을 보이는 그룹(1그룹), 하천으로부터 비교적 가깝고 양수정으로부터 떨어져 있는 그룹(2그룹), 그리고 약한 자기상관성을 보이는 그룹(3그룹)으로 나타난다. 1그룹이 강한 자기상관성을 보이는 것은 낙동강의 영향 때문인 것으로 판단되며, 3그룹의 약한 자기상관성은 취수정의 양수의 영향으로 판단된다. 6개 관측공 지하수위와 낙동강 수위의 교차상관분석을 실시한 결과, 교차상관함수가 0.1이하의 낮은 교차상관성을 보이고 있다. 이는 취수정의 양수에 의한 관측공의 수위변동에 의해서 낙동강 수위와의 연관성이 잘 나타나지 않기 때문이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대규모 병렬컴퓨터의 구현에 적합한 위상구조인 교차메쉬구조에서, 균등한 메시지분포를 갖고 메시지의 경쟁이 있는 실제적 상황에서 상호접속망내의 메시지의 경로를 선정하기 위한 방법들을 제안하고, 이의 성능을 검증하기 위해 우회 경로설정 알고리즘을 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 하였다. 교차메쉬의 특성상 최적경로의 수가 다른 구조들에 비해 다양하다는 특징을 이용하여 최적경로의 수를 우선순위에 반영한 우회조건 및 대각방향의 링크를 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 링크선정방법에 따를 교차메쉬의 최대지연(maximum delay), 평균지연(average delay) 및 메시지처리율(throughput)을 구하고 이를 비교 고찰하였다. 메시지 전송시 최적인 경로상의 링크에 경합이 생길 경우 최적 경로의 수가 적은 메시지가 높은 우선순위를 가지며 만약 같은 조건이라면 우회한 횟수가 많은 메시지가 높은 우선순위를 갖는 우회조건 LD를 사용하며 이 우선순위에 따라 경로를 선정할 차례가 된 메시지가 선택할 수 있는 최적경로의 수가 많을 경우 대각방향의 링크로 우선적으로 전송할 경우, 오래된 메시지가 높은 우선순위를 갖는 우회조건 A에 의한 방법에 비해 최대지연, 평균지연 및 메시지처리율에 있어서 각각 이상값에 대한 개선목표치의 약58%, 70% 및 31%의 성능개선이 있었다.

Evaluation of the Staggering Appointment Policy in a Two-Stage Service System (두 단계 서비스 시스템에서 교차예약정책의 평가)

  • The appointment system is widely used to facilitate customer access to service in many industries including healthcare and others. Because of its importance, much research has investigated how to build an effective appointment policy under various environments. However, most research has considered a single-server service system. The objective of this work is to evaluate several appointment policies in a two-stage service system in which multiple servers are available and build separate appointments at the second-stage. In such a system, we propose and evaluate the staggering appointment policy. Simulation experiments indicate that the proposed staggering appointment policy outperforms other traditional appointment policies in terms of customer waiting time, server idle time, and the number of customers who are later to scheduled appointments.

  • In accurate prediction of cross-flow based on detailed knowledge of the velocity field in subchannels of a nuclear fuel assembly is of importance in nuclear fuel performance analysis. In this study, the low-Reynolds number k-$\varepsilon$ turbulence model has been adopted in too adjacent subchannels with cross-flow. The secondary flow is accurately estimated by the anisotropic algebraic Reynolds stress model. This model was numerically calculated by the finite element method and has been verified successfully through comparison with existing experimental data. Finally, with the numerical analysis of the velocity Held in such subchannel domain, an analytical correlation of the lateral loss coefficient is obtained to predict the cross-flow rate in subchannel analysis codes. The correlation is expressed as a function of the ratio of the lateral How velocity to the donor subchannel axial velocity, recipient channel Reynolds number and pitch-to-diameter.

  • Recently, thermal bridge breaker systems(TBBSs) applicable to RC slab-wall connections have been increasingly studied and proposed. This study also aims at proposing an analytic model which is applicable to predicting the flexural behavior of TBBS embedded in slabs from the initial elastic stages, yield states to ultimate conditions. The analytic models are developed by considering strain compatibility, force equilibrium and the constitutive law obtained from material test results. To verify the accuracy of the proposed analytic model, the moment-curvature relationship and change of neutral axis according to the loading states are compared with those of experimental results. Based on the comparison, it is verified that the proposed analytic model provides well predict the flexural behavior of TBBS embedded in slabs.

  • The roundabout was developed in the United Kingdom to rectify problems associated with these traffic circles. In 1966, the United Kingdom adopted a mandatory "give-way" rule at alt circular intersections, which required entering traffic to give way, or yield, to circulating traffic. However, the roundabout used in United States or Europe do not common use in Korea. The purposes of the study is to comparatively analyze the effectiveness of roundabout. In pursuing the above, this study designs the scenarios which can reflect the directional traffic volumes, and analyzes the average control delay of roundabout and 4-leg signalized intersection by SIDRA. The main study results are as follows. First, when the entering traffic volume are less than 2,000pcph, the single-lane roundabout is analyzed to be more effective than 4-leg signalized intersection. Second, when the entering traffic volume are less than 3,200pcph, the double-lane roundabout is evaluated to be more effective than 4-leg signalized intersection. Third, which is installed left and right turn lane at intersection, area for the roundabout is analyzed to be less than that for general intersection area.

Classification Performance Analysis of Cross-Language Text Categorization using Machine Translation (기계번역을 이용한 교차언어 문서 범주화의 분류 성능 분석)

  • Cross-language text categorization(CLTC) can classify documents automatically using training set from other language. In this study, collections appropriated for CLTC were extracted from KTSET. Classification performance of various CLTC methods were compared by SVM classifier using machine translation. Results showed that the classification performance in the order of poly-lingual training method, training-set translation and test-set translation. However, training-set translation could be regarded as the most useful method among CLTC, because it was efficient for machine translation and easily adapted to general environment. On the other hand, low performance was shown to be due to the feature reduction or features with no subject characteristics, which occurred in the process of machine translation of CLTC.

Development of Highway Traffic Information Prediction Models Using the Stacking Ensemble Technique Based on Cross-validation (스태킹 앙상블 기법을 활용한 고속도로 교통정보 예측모델 개발 및 교차검증에 따른 성능 비교)

  • Accurate traffic information prediction is considered to be one of the most important aspects of intelligent transport systems(ITS), as it can be used to guide users of transportation facilities to avoid congested routes. Various deep learning models have been developed for accurate traffic prediction. Recently, ensemble techniques have been utilized to combine the strengths and weaknesses of various models in various ways to improve prediction accuracy and stability. Therefore, in this study, we developed and evaluated a traffic information prediction model using various deep learning models, and evaluated the performance of the developed deep learning models as a stacking ensemble. The individual models showed error rates within 10% for traffic volume prediction and 3% for speed prediction. The ensemble model showed higher accuracy compared to other models when no cross-validation was performed, and when cross-validation was performed, it showed a uniform error rate in long-term forecasting.
