  • This study aims to empirically validate the relationship between organizational learning transfer climate and the transfer of training and to enhance the transfer of training among South Korean coast guards. The empirical data was collected through 526 South Korean coast guards admitted to the institute, and support by managers and peers, and potential for organizational change were selected as independent variables for multiple regression. As a result, the transfer of training is positively correlated with support of mangers and peers, and potential for organizational change, thus suggesting factors like supervisor participation and long-term educational planning as policy implications for the effective transfer of training to work environment. Though findings from research cannot be generalized to the broader population due to limitations of sampling, this study does find its significance in that organizational learning transfer climate was considered as a key factor influencing the transfer of learning for the first time.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the causal relationship among students' science-related career choice and its factors. The causal relationship was analyzed using structural equation modeling. According to the most fitting model, science career aspiration had a direct and total effect of 0.95 (standardized coefficient) on the science career choice, and personal factor had an indirect and total effect of 0.75 on the science career choice, educational factor, 0.46, and social factor, 0.11. Personal factor had a direct and total effect of 0.79 on the science career aspiration, educational factor with total effect of 0.48 (direct effect -0.21, indirect effect 0.69), and social factor with direct and total effect of 0.12. On the other hand, educational factor had a direct and total effect of 0.72 on the social factor, and a direct and total effect of 0.77 on the personal factor. The difference in the causal effect among grades and between gender was analyzed. The difference was only in the magnitude of influence among grades, showing the same tendency with the total number of students, but the difference between gender was contrastive. For the boys, social factor had the biggest effect on the science career choice, next was personal factor, and the educational factor had the smallest effect. The girls' science career choice influenced mostly from personal factor, and the other two factors' effects were not high. The social effect was negative for the girls' science career choice. The implications of proper science career education were discussed from these results, considering the causal relationship among factors of science career choice and its factors.

The survey was performed with 301 employees who are working in the industrial institutions including the OJT, among the nation's specialized technical high school graduates. 240 questionnaires were analyzed. The major results of this study are as following. First, the effects of OJT are as following. The OJT have educational effects such as the improvement of job ability and adaptability to workplace, refinement of working life, and career guidance. However, the OJT almost don't have educational effects for contents in relation to the majors in SHS. The OJT had basic DCE effects on graduates, and consistently have had them since they graduated from SHS. Second, the difference of OJT effects by employees' background variables is as following. By the gender, the OJT have more educational effects and DCE effects on male than female. By the types of career decision before taking part in the OJT, the OJT has more educational effects and DCE effects on employees with a high degree of career decision. By the working life satisfaction, the higher working life satisfaction, the higher OJT effects. Therefore, the OJT should be operated to make students feel satisfied with the OJT in order to correspond with the purpose of specialized high school - cultivating talent in specific areas.

  • In order to prepare for future social changes, SW·AI education is essential. In this paper, after conducting non-face-to-face SW·AI education for pre-service teachers, the effectiveness of SW education before and after education was measured using the measurement tool on the software educational effectiveness. As a result of the analysis, the overall average and the average of the 'computational thinking' and 'SW literacy' domains increased significantly, and the difference between the averages before and after education was statistically significant in decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm, which are sub domains of 'computational thinking'. Through SW·AI education, students not only recognize the necessity of SW education and the importance of computational thinking, but also understand the process of decomposing information, recognizing and extracting patterns, and expressing problem-solving processes. It can be seen that non-face-to-face SW·AI education has the effect of improving computational thinking and SW literacy beyond recognizing the importance of SW.
