  • This study analyzes the performance of flipped learning, an offline class method conducted in a degree-linked work-learning parallel system. Training in the work-study parallel system, which is conducted as part of job competency improvement, has thoroughly adhered to the offline method, but in line with COVID-19, unlike before, it is changing in the direction of using the online method more actively. However, educational methods such as flipped learning are not new because the degree-linked operation is applied to the academic system and education method of universities and is practically the same form as general university education. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the educational performance and complementary points of flipped learning, which has recently been expanded in the degree-linked work-study parallel system, considering the characteristics of this system, in which classes are held only on weekends. As a result of statistical analysis based on the survey, some of the outcomes of flipped learning have been confirmed, and in order to increase the performances, it is necessary to continuously seek out specific measures to encourage learning and expand communication between instructors and students.

  • In December 2019, new coronavirus (COVID-19) which was started from Wuhan caused a dramatic changes in college mathematics education around the world from the spring semester 2020. All classes in college was switched to online classes at once. As a result, many efforts were made to keep the quality of mathematics education in college. We have discussed the situation that we did experience and discussed a possible changes that future mathematics education and research can face in the post-corona era (after coronavirus, AC era). Finally, we discussed an evaluation method for student activities that can be used in online class evaluation.

  • This study was to examine the correlations between parenting styles, Chinese high school students' character strengths, and their school adjustment, and direct and indirect effects of parenting styles and character strengths on their school adjustment. The subjects were 378 high school students in Zheng Zhou, China. Results were as follows. Firstly, parenting styles, character strengths, and school adjustment showed significant correlations among each other. Secondly, there were significant gender differences on authoritarian parenting style, courage, and peer relations. Thirdly, the structural equation model for the participants supported that authoritarian parenting style and authoritative parenting style had direct and indirect effects on school adjustment. Also, students' character strengths mediated between authoritarian and authoritative parenting styles and school adjustment. Implications of the study were discussed in depth.

  • As the era of $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution has arrived, education systems are changing in order to prepare for the changes on technological environment. Recently in the education field, flipped learning, which focus on learner-centered with an active communication is suggested, rather than the existing teaching method, which had the characteristic of simply delivering a knowledge. In this research, case study of analyzing a learning effect done by applying a flipped learning on the study of Industrial Security which has the characteristics of timeliness and can accordingly reflect the characteristics of $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. In detail, the concept of the study of Industrial Security and flipped learning was arranged, analyzed a current state of education on the study of Industrial Security and exemplary of flipped learning applied class and designed the methodology of flipped learning of this research. Nextly, designed flipped learning method was applied in the actual class of the study of Industrial Security. Lastly, survey and interview was conducted targeting a learner and deducted an implications. The results of survey showed that class participation has increased through active interactions between learners, and flexible learning environments was created which is appropriate for the characteristics of industrial security, which is in need of timeliness response against to diverse security threats of $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, and regarded a flipped learning to be appropriate for the study of Industrial security.

  • All of the students must trace to the predetermined course of curriculum in traditional education system. There are some absurdity that nearly the same subjects, which are different each other, are treating partially the same contents. Therefore This paper proposes the cyber-educational system which constructs curriculum divided to modular parts for efficient self-directed learning in performing internet-based remote education. The preliminary experiment for two subjects shows that the proposed system gives about 9.4% of time reduction than traditional system.

  • This study aims to find an effective way to present essential science concepts in national science curriculum through international comparisons. Next Generation Science Standard (US), Ontario Science Curriculum (Canada), Australia Science Curriculum, and British/English Science Curriculum were selected for comparison. In science curriculum documents, these countries used terms such as 'Key ideas,' 'Big ideas,' 'Key concepts,' 'Disciplinary core ideas.' and 'Fundamental concepts' to present essential concepts of science. This study reviewed the characteristics of the meaning, the status, and the role of essential concepts country by country. The result shows essential concepts have been used with different meanings and statutes in each case. Furthermore, various roles were performed through essential concepts in order to organize their science curriculum. From these foreign nation's cases, this study proposes several ways to present essential science concepts based on results. First, interdisciplinary integrated concepts were needed to organize an integrated science curriculum. In science curriculum documents of the United States, Canada, Australia and England, two types of terms were used in order to structuralize an integrated science curriculum. Second, essential concepts should include concepts related with function and value as well as scientific knowledge. Third, essential concepts need to be presented in such a way as to show specific contexts. Therefore, selecting appropriate contents and structure are needed to be able to improve the way to present essential concepts in Korea's educational environment.
