  • This study explores the formational process of KBS PD's professional identity in the 1970's, focusing on everyday work and workplace for program production. In terms of salary and social-cultural status, a television PD was not a desirable occupation in the 70's. Since the beginning of radio broadcasting, production of culture and education programs had been sub-categorized under Programming Division. Also, it has been claimed in several researches that in the 70's, the production of education and cultural programs had visibly grown owing to the political necessity of policy PR and campaigns, and the introduction of new broadcasting equipment and technologies for producing the mentioned political campaign programs. However, this study argues that the main force that led to such developments was the cultural practices and the production spirits of the KBS PD's. These PD's trained themselves in production workplace from the bottom by assisting film directors and learning from cameramen about the film making and post-production process. Moreover, in the transitional phase from film to magnetic tape recorder, they established themselves as main subjectivities of production by developing Division of Culture and Education as a specialized and independent sector. The "program production spirit and DNA" that evolved from the experiences of working in poor production environment served as a force for developing professional and self identity. However, the culture and education PD's of the 70's were still tied down to the limited roles of simply providing technological and productional 'professionalism' within the hegemonic structure of the strong state. As with the members of any other social domain at the time, PD's had restricted roles to play and putting in effort and competing to create better programs was the only 'freedom' that was allowed. This study argues that under such condition, KBS PD's implemented two strategies to construct their own professional identities: one was to distinguish themselves from official broadcasters, and the other was to distinguish themselves from commercial broadcasters. Unfortunately, ethical practice as a professional became nothing more than an issue of personal morality and broadcasting's public responsibility was lost under the shadows of commercial broadcasting.

  • The cyber classes of an e-Learning system have been considered as one of the important form of education. Especially. some of non-major(liberal arts and science) and major subjects are held in cyber classes. However, there is no or little study of effectiveness and function for the students' position. In this study, we analyzed log files in the e-learning system. and classified login and learning hour patterns of students. who were enrolled in the cyber classes. into hourly pattern in a day, daily pattern in a week, and weekly pattern in a semester. We proposed general ideas to improve effectiveness and function of current e-learning. Over 50% of logins were for less than 30 minutes learning and there is wasteful use of e-learning system resources.

  • The study summarizes the experience of operation in the application of flipped learning to various IT-related liberal arts subjects, and proposes a specific application method. So far, most of the studies have analyzed various strategies and learner responses to flipped learning. Currently, it is the time when teachers, who are the main operators of the flipped learning class, need to study how to provide immediate feedback and application while running the relevant courses. Studies related to this are gradually coming out. In general, most of the studies on sharing reference materials through the results after applying various strategies such as developing the structure of class operation by instructors themselves, combining them with discussion classes, or developing various contents. This study proposes a method to analyze how various strategies can be applied in the subject and obtain results simultaneously with class operation by analyzing unstructured data, which is a survey that can receive immediate feedback.

  • The purpose of this article is to compare zombie narratives in relation to the Other. In previous research, the view of zombies as post-capitalist soulless consumers or workers has been frequently expressed. But in this article, I wanted to look at zombies as the main cause of the collapse of the world and a new future. First, zombies do not only mean the representation of the consumer in the late capitalist era. Rather, it is an awakening subject desiring the outside of the system. As you can see from the Uncanny's point of view, zombies are something that we should oppress as freaks and monsters that threatened the Other. To be a zombie in this way is to meet one's other self, the "Fundamentals of Humanity," and it is the moment when everything becomes the subject ex nihilo, the new beginning. Second, the concept of infection shows a new ethic. Zombie cannibalism is different from the selfish love of a vampire who sucks a worker's blood. Zombie cannibalism is an infection, which is a model of Christian love for one's neighbor. It is a moment of awakening and the beginning of solidarity. It is on the waiting for the solidarity that the zombie hangs in such a way, and the attack on the human being is an active illusion. Third, the situation of the end of a zombie narrative is another event for newness. The anger of a zombie serves not just to show monsters, but acts as a catalyst that accelerates the world's catastrophes. The anger of zombies is the messianic violence that stops the false world, and presents a new way. The emergence of zombies and the popular response to them embody a desire for the possibility of a new subject and world.

  • Artificial intelligence technology is influencing across all areas as technology advances and social needs change. Therefore, Korean universities have actively developed and operated classes related to artificial intelligence, and have emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence not only in major education but also in liberal arts education. However, there is a lack of research on the development of educational methods and educational programs because artificial intelligence education in liberal arts is in its early stages. SSI is an education that can apply social and ethical problems related to science to open problems that can creatively and reasonably present solutions. SSI can be applied to make AI education more effective. In this study, an artificial intelligence liberal arts curriculum applied SSI was developed with three purposes: First, it is designed is designed so that students subject to education can access it by considering its characteristics as actors of the intelligent information society. Second, it is designed so that students can experience artificial intelligence programs themselves and deal with science technology and social relevance in depth, focusing on various examples of real life. Third, it is designed and approached so that students can participate and cooperate for the purpose of solving common problems to develop cooperative problem-solving skills.

  • Scriptwriters have appeared in Korea's broadcasting production system for more than 40 years as a key producer. This study specifically investigated the work identity and labor experience of scriptwriters who have played countless roles from planning and organizing programs in various broadcast genres such as non-drama informative program, entertainment, news, and radio to script writing. As a result of examining the work identity and labor experience of the scriptwriters based on the auto-ethnography of the 20 scriptwriters working in the field, they felt that they had an " indispensable" program producer and a media culture producer and at the same time felt that they were taking on tasks that were unclear. They felt that the cause of this inequality was a problem of the production system and employment type, but they recognized that they could not be solved individually, and they were developing their own skills or building connections to get work, and expanding their areas unconditionally.

Thus, this paper studied the necessity of communication skills training and its sociopolitical implication through case studies about "Communication and Negotiation" class, which is proceeded under university liberal education. Under current university curriculums, increased liberal education programs, related with speaking, focus on cultivating logical and critical thinking in the main. Based on these thinking skills, "Communication and Negotiation" has important implication in terms of cultivating mindset which resolves conflicts and considers other's position by collaborative and emotional perspectives. In terms of cultivating practical communication skills, this "Communication and Negotiation" class requires the change of teaching skills with various training programs, under students' active participation and feedback in the class exercise for resolving problems. Ultimately, through "Communication and Negotiation" class, and as members of society, students could learn matured citizenship and sense of responsibility by respecting others' position and reasonably resolving conflicts.

  • This article analyze that the everyday life shown in reality entertainment, and examine the semiotics of reality entertainment and the everyday life. With the perspectives of Guy Debord and Olivier Razac, the everyday life in the reality entertainment be concluded the Spectacles of everyday life. And it brings to Barthes's structure of Myth, designs the stricture of reality entertainment. Unlike Debord and Razac, who only refer to the public as passive audience, today's consumers are capable of active interpretation and consumption-the active audience. Instead of criticizing only the media's adverse function, Spectacle, I would like to suggest that the everyday life story-telling of reality entertainment can be interpreted as the recovery of the audience.
