The effect of teaching types of liberal arts physical education to Class Satisfaction, Class Flow and Physical Education Attitude (교양체육수업의 교수유형이 수업만족 및 수업몰입, 체육교과태도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of teaching style of liberal arts physical education professors to class satisfaction, Class flow and physical education attitude of liberal arts students. A study was conducted on a total of 221 liberal arts students. For the collected data, a confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis (Cronbach' α) for the measurement tool were performed using the SPSS 26.0 and Amos 21.0 programs. And correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The liberal arts physical education Professor's teaching stlye affects the student's class satisfaction (educational satisfaction, environmental satisfaction, psychosocial satisfaction, physical satisfaction), and students' class flow (class immersion, purpose experience, consciousness agreement, challenge, control, Integration). In addition, it has various effects on the student's attitude toward physical education(relationships, physical activity, active participation, health and physical fitness, positive emotions). Efforts to strengthen the competence of liberal arts physical education professors will be needed to revitalize the liberal arts physical education.

The effect of intellectual property education in College liberal arts course : Focusing on Analysis of Students' Perception Change (사범대학내 지식재산 교양 강좌 개설 및 운영 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to elucidate the necessity of opening a lecture on intellectual property education by confirming the effect of the lecture on intellectual property education in the college students. For the study, IP program was developed for the course through literature review, and supplemented it with expert review. The developed course program was applied to 39 students for 15 weeks. In order to verify the effectiveness of the lecture, the survey was performed. And analysis method for the concept change analysis and the keyword formation analysis were performed. For the analysis, SPSS 24, UCINET and Netdraw were used. The results were as follows. First, the lecture on intellectual property education positively changed the value, necessity, and perception of intellectual property to the students. Second, the students of the lecture on intellectual property education responded that the lecture on the intellectual property should be increased. Third, through the lecture on intellectual property education, students formed basic concept about intellectual property centered on key word. The intellectual property lecture program developed and applied in this study is difficult to apply to all university situations, but it is expected to be referenced in the establishment and operation of related lectures and to be derived in various forms.

The character of teachers'and liberal teacher education (교사의 인성과 교양적 교사교육)

  • This paper suggests that the meaning and the direction of character education should be understood and approached from a point of view which human formation is regarded as the essence of education. The best way of approach to the character education with this point of view could start from the teachers' character, because teachers are key actors for character formation of students. This study therefore places strong emphasis on the importance of teachers' character and suggesting liberal education, as a key solution, its aim is raising and developing the whole human being. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of liberal teacher education. With this purpose of study, the author argues the moral dimension of teaching and the importance of the teachers' role as a character builder in ch.II. In ch.III, the present state of teachers' character education is examined and is argued the necessity of liberal perspective for teacher education to stress the character formation of teachers. The liberal teacher education means that the teacher education is integrated into the quality of liberal education which emphasizes the whole human formation, transformation of personality and critical reflection for human formation. The ch. IV contains exploration of the possibility of liberal teacher education by discussing the compatibility between liberal education and vocational education. Furthermore, it covers how teacher education can reflect the quality of liberal education on the aim of teaching, contents and methods of teacher education concretely.

An Integral Approach in Liberal Arts Curriculum of Higher Education - A Case Study on Physical Education Based on the Somatics (대학교양 교육과정 개발의 융합적 접근 - 소매틱스(Somatics)에 기반한 체육교양강좌 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore integrated approaches to physical education in general education by examining methodology of physical education aiming for convergence education. This case study was conducted, using a qualitative approach during March, 2017 to November, 2017. Data were collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, field-notes, students' journal, syllabus and lecture materials. The key findings are as follows: First, "Emotion Coaching through Movement" is a course of 'understanding of body' approaching integrated humanities science and natural science. Second, it is a convergence education, conducting 'text to daily practice' by approaching positive psychology and neurophysiology. Third, it is a physical education with 'integrated theory and practice' in higher education. These results indicate that students can understand their own body, observe their daily and fixed movement or reaction pattern, and enhance the ability of understanding others through a physical education in general education.

An Informetric Analysis of Topics in University's General Education (대학 교양교육 주제영역의 계량적 분석연구)

  • As the topics of general education in universities become more diverse, it is not an easy task to identify the topics of general education courses. This study aims to identify and visualize the topics of A university's general education courses using informetric analysis methods. 214 syllabi were collected and titles, course introduction, goals, and weekly plans were analyzed. 278 topic words were extracted from the data set and grouped into 8 clusters. In the network analysis, topic clusters were divided into two areas, personal and social. Personal area has 14 sub-topic clusters and social area has 11 sub-topic clusters. In personal area, 'language', 'science', and 'personality' were major topic clusters. In social area, 'multi-culture' cluster was the core cluster with connected to four other clusters. The topic network generated in this study can be used for the university and the university library to enhance general education or to develop collections for general education.
