  • The bit type holographic data storage is known to have many advantages in instrumentation for its compactness and simplicity, when compared to the 2-D page type holographic data storage. But it requires various multiplexing method for one bit hologram to achieve high storage densities. We propose an optical architecture for bit type holographic data storage which utilizes peristrophic and angular multiplexing simultaneously. Selectivity and characterization are analyzed for the proposed architecture. The possible number of multiplexing(72 bit holograms) and maximum storage densities calculation is confirmed experimentally.

  • In the zoom lens of digital still cameras with the variation of the image plane generated by various symmetric error factors such as curvature, thickness and refractive index error of each lens surface about the optic axis, we induce a theoretical condition to fix constantly the image plane by translating the compensator group of the zoom lens by using the Gaussian bracket. We confirm the validity of this condition by using three examples of general zoom lens types with 3, 4, and 5 groups, respectively. When these error factors are randomly changed within the range of tolerance according to the Monte Carlo method, we verify that the distributions of the degree of moving of the compensator are normal distributions at three zoom lens types. From capability analysis using these results, we theoretically propose the method estimating the standard deviation, that is, sigma-level, as a function of the maximum movement of the compensator.

  • This research aims at knowing educational objectives and understanding the whole departmental processes of two-year education programs of junior colleges in the field of ophthalmic optics. Our analyses can be categorized by on liberal art courses, compulsory subjects and optional subjects. The educational purpose of all the seven colleges was training the professional worker, meets well the educational requirements of two year college. All seven colleges' curriculum is open to the national licence examination subjects, but more academic credits are demended in eye examination of refraction, test of ocular function, professional sense of cultural subjects field, leadership in organization and course of marketing related subjects, and stronger relation with clinical examination are also required.

  • Purpose: To investigate optical shop startup awareness of ophthalmic optics students as a basic source for startup education. Methods: Total of 287 students from three ophthalmic optics college in kyung-gi region was surveyed and analyzed using SPSS analysis. Results: Optical shop startup business plan of ophthalmic optics students was very high (80.1%). For startup timing, over 6yrs of employe (37.0%) was most and there was significant difference according to age (p<.001) and optician family present (p<.05). For startup type, single startup type (37%) was most and there was significant difference according to grade (p<.01). For startup unit of space, 30 pyong (43.5%) was most, Seoul metropolitan area and kyung-gi region (54.4%) was most for startup region, and station area (40.8%) was most for startup location. The reason of non-startup was eye hospital and glass related company employe (35.7%) was most and optical shop employe (35.7%) was most for non-startup planner's way. Conclusions: Startup business plan was very high and need to have startup education for there startup provision.

  • An experiment on the correlation of a photon pair is introduced. The results are analyzed in the framework of quantum optics. It is shown that the vacuum state of light plays an important role for the manifestation of the non local correlation. The correlation can be explained neither by classical wave optics nor by any theory based on the idea of local reality. ality.

  • A IR zoom telescope system was designed for thermal imagery. The magnification is 4-14 and the focal length of eye piece is 25 mm. First, the frame was built up with first order optics and started design with 3rd order optics. There after, we can get the final design by optimization technique through finite ray tracing. The optical system was optimized with ray aberration or angular aberration including higer orders. Finally, The performance of the optical system was accessed by calculating the diffraction MTF from the design data. data.

  • We have designed and constructed a scanner optics for thermal imaging system operating in 8 - 12 /lfll band. The scanner consists of rotating polygon and oscillating mirror for serial-parallel scan using 5 elements SPRITE HgCdTe. A spherical mirror is used for scan relay mirror to minimize size of the scan mirrors and pupil aberration. The scanner has $40^{\circ}\times26.67^{\circ}$ wide scan field of view and the calculated diffraction MTF shows diffraction limited performance. As a result we have obtained high resolution thermal image. image.

  • We present an attractive real time in-vivo endoscopic microscope with a resolution of submicron, in which two kinds of optical correcting plates are inserted to eliminate higher order spherical aberration and field curvature. And, since the conventional objective lens is replaced to GRIN lenses with diameter of 1 mm, the above endoscopic microscope can be effectively utilized to invade minimally for live animals.

  • The use of null optics is proposed as a new concept for the precise alignment of a confocal unstable resonator. The characteristics of the proposed null optics are investigated and analysed with the designed null lens for a real confocal unstable resonator of which the length is 3.5 m. As a result of the analysis, the pupil map data are shown about the despace error of 1.0 mm and tilt error of 1.0 mrad.
