A Study on the Change of Population Distribution in Metropolitan Area by the Development of the New Town-type Innovation City: A Case Study of the Daegu Innovation City in South Korea (신시가지형 혁신도시 개발에 따른 대도시 인구분포 변화에 관한 연구 - 대구혁신도시 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper aims to analyze the changes of the population distribution of metropolitan area by the development of the new town-type innovative city, focusing on the case of the Daegu Innovative City. Using dataset in the survey of population trend and the migration statistics microdata provided by the Statistics Korea, we decomposed population changes of Daegu and surrounding regions into natural increase and social increases(net migration). As a result of the analysis, Dong-gu, where the Daegu Innovation City is located, experienced population growth due to its increase of net migration, whereas the total population in Daegu been decreasing continuously between 2007 and 2016. In particular, the occurrence of high net migration to Dong-gu in 2014 showed a pattern consistent with the completion of the Daegu Innovative City development and the relocation of government institutions from the Seoul metro area. As a result of analyzing the migration to Dong-gu, the population moved from the Seoul metro area was 6.9% of the total, while the population moving from the other 7 gu-gun areas in Daegu (35.8%) and the surrounding regions (8.2%) were significantly high. In particular, the migration to Dong-gu were from neighboring areas, such as Suseong-gu, Buk-gu and Gyeongsan-si. Therefore, the development of the new town-type innovative city could accelerate toward sprawling urban structure.

A Simulation of Mobile Base Station Placement for HAP based Networks by Clustering of Mobile Ground Nodes (지상 이동 노드의 클러스터링을 이용한 HAP 기반 네트워크의 이동 기지국 배치 시뮬레이션)

  • High Altitude Platform (HAP) based networks deploy network infrastructures of Mobile Base Station (MBS) in a form of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) at stratosphere in order to build network configuration. The ultimate goal of HAP based network is a wireless network service for wide area by deploying multiple MBS for such area. In this paper we assume multiple UAVs over designated area and solve the MBS placement and coverage problem by clustering the mobile ground nodes. For this study we assumed area around Cheju island and nearby naval area where multiple mobile and fixed nodes are deployed and requires HAP based networking service. By simulation, visual results of stratospheric MBS placement have been presented. These results include clustering, MBS placement and coverage as well as dynamic reclustering according to the movement of mobile ground nodes.

Response Methodology against Spoofed IP Attack using Active Networks Mechanism (액티브 네트워크를 이용한 위조 IP 공격 대응 메커니즘)

  • It has become more difficult to correspond a cyber attack quickly as patterns of attack become various and complex. However, current security mechanism just have passive defense functionalities. In this paper, we propose new network security mechanism to respond various cyber attacks rapidly and to chase and isolate the attackers through cooperation between security zones. The proposed mechanism makes it possible to deal effectively with cyber attacks such as IP spoofing, by using active packet technology including a mobile code on active network. Also, it is designed to hove more active correspondent than that of existing mechanisms. We implemented these mechanisms in Linux routers and experimented on a testbed to verify realization possibility of attacker response framework using mobile code. The experimentation results are analyzed.

Analysis of Geographical Mismatch between Job Opening and Job Seeking in Economic Regions (광역경제권별 구인·직의 지역 간 미스매치 특성 비교)

  • In spite of the various government policies to increase the jobs and to improve the employment environment, the unemployment rate has not reduced. The aims of this study are to analyze the structural mismatch(especially geographical mismatch) between job opening and job seeking, and thus to comprehend more deeply the factors affecting unemployment rates of economic regions in Korea. For the period of 2008~2013, the unemployment rates caused by geographical mismatches between job opening and job seeking have been increased steadily. For Chungcheong, Dongnam and Honam economic region, geographical mismatches of low-educated and low-skilled jobs showed relatively quite high, indicating that the job seeker have a strong tendency of preferring certain areas in looking for their jobs. It means that the job seeker can get a job only to move the other areas within an economic region. However, for Capital region, which is the largest job seekers in Korea, geographical mismatches in all types of jobs showed very quite low. So, it is very difficult for the job seeker to escape from unemployment when changing the other areas in looking for a job in Capital region. The results of this study gives an important implication that a nationwide uniform unemployment policy may not be effective to reduce unemployment conditions, and a differentiated unemployment policy should be established in considering the characteristics of geographic mismatches by the types of job in terms of the level of education and skill for each economic region.

An Investigation of Rider Behavior to Transfer Seoul Metropolitan Transit Using Public Transport Card Data (교통카드 데이터를 이용한 수도권 광역급행철도 환승행태에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the Korean government promoted the construction of metropolitan express subway to connect major transportation hub in the metropolitan area within 30 minutes. Most stations of the metropolitan express subway are connected to existing subway stations, so the importance of transfer increased. Although many studies have been conducted on the effect of transfer penalty on route choice, there are few studies on the transfer behavior of the metropolitan express subway. Therefore, in this study, a transfer behavior analysis was conducted on the Shinbundang Line, a representative metropolitan express subway. To analyze the transfer behavior according to the degree of traffic congestion and the presence of fare payment, route choice models were made using transport card data divided according to week, time, and user characteristics. As a result of the analysis, users of the metropolitan express subway had greater disutility to the transfer waiting time compared to the transfer moving time. Furthermore, especially during the peak time, EIVM(Equivalent in-vehicle minutes) of the transfer waiting time was 3.51. In this study, EIVM for metropolitan express subway users were analyzed to be 2.6 minutes, which is significantly lower than the results of previous studies on subways. This suggests that there is a difference in the transfer penalty between subways and metropolitan express subway, and that it is necessary to apply the transfer penalty between subways and express subway differently when forecasting subway traffic demand.

  • 사물인터넷(Internet of Things: IoT)이란 모든 사물이 인터넷에 연결되어 상호 간에 직접 통신하는, 향후 정보통신의 미래 인프라 및 서비스이다. 이것이 필요한 이유는 초연결 사회에 기반을 둔 삶의 질 향상과 생산성 향상에 있으며, 최종적으로는 국가 자체의 인프라, 더 나아가서는 인류를 위한 중추 신경계를 이루기 때문에 무엇보다 중요하다. IoT는 셀룰러 이동통신 기반의 IoT와 비셀룰러기반의 IoT로 대분되어 오다가 두 분야의 융합이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 IoT는 현재 거품 최고조기에 있으며, 아직까지 주목할 만한 큰 수익모델이 없는 상태이다. 그 이유는 사물인터넷 서비스 활성화에 가장 걸림돌이 되어온 보안문제, 배터리수명, 통신거리, IoT 디바이스를 포함한 솔루션 가격 그리고 월정료 문제가 여전히 존재하기 때문이다. 최근 이들 문제 해결을 목적으로, 대량의 IoT 디바이스를 필요로 하는 새로운 사물인터넷 커넥티비티에 대한 재정의, 표준화 및 솔루션 개발이 핫이슈이다. 본고에서는 셀룰라 및 비셀룰라 IoT기반의 Low Power Wide Area(LPWA), 즉 저전력 광역 IoT에 대한 시장, 기술 및 솔루션 비교 그리고 표준화 동향을 다룬다. 또한, 비셀룰라기반 즉 비면허대역과 프리밴드 활용을 통한 기술적 및 정책적 대응전략을 살펴본다.

  • 최근 전기 전력 도메인의 IT화 (전력 IT) 가 본격적으로 진행되면서 전기 데이터를 취득하기 위한 기기들 뿐만 아니라 전력 운영 환경이 변화를 도모하고 있다 본 논문에서는 이런 전력 IT 의 일환으로 개발된 지능형 전력 정보 모니터링 시스템 (K-WAMS)을 소개하고자 한다. 이 시스템은 이기종 분산 환경에서 전력 정보를 실시간으로 전송 받아 현재 전력계통의 상황을 직관적으로 판단할 수 있는 정보를 제공하여 광역 정전을 예방하고자 하는 조기경보시스템 (Early Warning System) 이다. 또한, 전력계통의 안정성 여부를 판단하는 지능형 에이전트의 구현을 통해 광역 정전을 예견하는 지수를 제공하고, 실시간 데이터 처리 및 이력 데이터 저장 에이전트들을 통해 현재 취득되고 있는 현장 데이터 모니터링 기능을 제공한다. K-WAMS 는 실시간으로 전송 처리되는 고속 대용량 데이터들의 처리 지연, 동적 환경으로 인한 네트워크의 부하문제를 해결하기 위해서 IPC Shared Memory 기법을 이용하였고, 동적 프로세스들의 작업 스케줄링을 관리하기 위한 IPC Message Queue 기법을 이용하였다. 또한 논리적 기능 기반으로 설계된 현재 중앙 급전소(GCC) 단위의 설계 모델은 향후 지역 급전소(RCC) 단위로 설치 될 경우 재사용 되어 개발 생산성을 향상시킬 것으로 예상된다.

  • 본 고에서 다루고자 하는 지능형 로봇 공간(intelligent robotic space)은 이동성(mobility), 조작성(manipulability)으로 대표되는 로봇의 독특한 기능을 분산센싱, 분산처리환경을 구축하여 고기능화함으로써 자연스러운 이동, 조작기능의 구현이 가능한 공간으로 정의할 수 있다. 이는 개념적으로 가상 공간(virtual space), 추론 공간(semantic space), 물리 공간(physical space)으로 구성된다. 가상 공간은 로봇-센서간 융합을 통한 환경지도 작성 및 표현을 위한 플랫폼 기술이고 추론 공간은 로봇 및 로봇과 연동된 사람이나 사물의 상태 해석을 위한 객체 모델 기술이다. 물리 공간은 지능형이동성과 로봇 조작 능력의 향상을 위한 지능형 하드웨어 공간이다. 본 고에서는 물리공간에서 가장 핵심적인 이슈인 실내 측위기술에 대해서 알아본다. 측위기술은 사람이나 사물의 위치를 정밀하게 결정하여 로봇이 인간과 공존할 수 있도록 안정적이고 신뢰성 있는 측위 정보를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 지능형 로봇을 위한 측위기술은 크게 무선 센서네트워크 기반의 광역(coarse) 위치 결정과 RFID 및 로봇 비전(vision)을 기반으로 하는 정밀(fine) 위치 결정으로 나뉘어진다. 본 고에서는 Wi-Fi, ZigBee, UWB를 이용하는 무선 센서네트워크 기반의 실내 위치 측정에 관한 연구 개발 동향을 분석하고 각각의 기술이 가지는 장단점을 비교한다.

Estimation Study of Willingness to Pay for Low-Floor Seat Buses Introduction (저상 좌석버스 도입에 대한 지불의사금액 추정 연구)

  • The government recently implemented policies to improve transportation for the disabled passengers. On the other hand, metropolitan public transport still lacks adequate services for these individuals. Many new cities lack urban rail lines and focus on high-floor buses for expansion. Wheelchair users can only access to double-decker low-floor seat express buses for intercity travel. This study examined the necessity and rationale for introducing low-floor seat buses by estimating the user's willingness to pay through a contingent valuation method. Two methods for eliciting the willingness to pay were adopted: open-ended and dichotomous choice questions. The binomial logit model was used to estimate the willingness to pay. The results indicated that the general public is willing to pay an additional 126.7 Korean won, while the disabled passengers are willing to pay an additional 117.5 Korean won. When translated into annual economic benefits, this amounts to approximately 35 billion Korean won.

Analysis on the Migration Determinant Factors of 3 Major Cities in Gangwon-Do -Case-study of Chuncheon, Wonju and Gangneung- (강원도 3대 도시의 인구이동 결정요인 분석 -춘천, 원주, 강릉을 대상으로-)

  • This study aims to analyze the trend of migration and to find the factors which influence to migration in Chuncheon, Wonju and Gangneung. The results are as follows. First, the employment chance and education chance give positive effect to migration. And it agrees with the results of the preceeding researches. Second, Though the statistical significance is low, the result that urbanized degree gives positive effect to migration indicates the possibility of positive effect of urban convenience to migratioin. Third, the pavement rate of the roads which is substituted for public goods service gives the negative effect to migratioin, though the statistical significance is low. This result shows the possibility that the road building has influenced the extending of traffic distance and the spreading of residence area. In conclusion, this study identifies the positive effect of employment chance and education chance to migration, and the results of this study are supposed to be considered in the regional plan in Gangwon-do.
