Experimental Study on the Coefficient of Performance of a Small Absorption Refrigerator (소형 흡수식 냉동기의 성적계수에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the characteristics of the coefficient of perform-ance (COP) of the small absorption refrigeration system. This experimental study is performed with two selected variables, the temperature of the generator and the input temperature of the cooling water. In order to determine the input temperature of the generator which gives maximum COP, the experimental data are obtained with controlling the temperature of the generator in the range of $20-32^{\circ}C$ of the temperature of the cooling water. The range of the generator heat suppling temperature which gives maximum efficiency is about $90-95^{\circ}C.$ The temperature range depends on the characteristics of the equipment unit. The most important result in this experiment is the trends of the COP in accordance with the variation of these temperatures. This trend will furnish the informations and knowledges for designing and operating the absorption refrigerator.

  • Backcap is an electric remote control system for the operation of directional flow control valves. This paper presents a new type of basckcap system which is characterized by its simple construction. The backcap is essentially a hydraulic cylinder of which the piston is connected to a spool of hydraulic valve and controlled by input current. An inherent feedback is imposed on its mechanism so that no artificial noe is needed. Characteristics of the backcap is verified by stability analysis, transient motion and steady state positioning for step inputs. Design parameter analyses have been executer by some analytical approaches and computer simulations, which lead to their optimal valves. These results contributed to an effective new backcap system and its design strategy.

  • A new Saxifraga fortunei cultivar 'Whitegreen' was bred by crossing between 'Daewoojoo' with Pale Green (Y-G145-C) colored petals and 'Kwanglim' with light Yellow green (Y-G145A) colored petals. The selection and flower characterization were conducted from 2004 to 2008 in greenhouse of Highland Agriculture Research Center, NICS, RDA. Flowering in 'Whitegreen' Showed from September 20 th for 33 days. The number of petals were 11.4 ea., with a width of 1.4 cm and length of 1.4 cm. The plant height was 20.7 cm, and number of leaves per plant was 48.3 ea., with a width of 3.4 cm and length of 3.0 cm. 'Whitegreen' cultivar can be used as a pot flower. 'Whitegreen' plants grown under 50% shade of sunlight have higher degree of acclimation compared to those under direct sunlight. And soft rot disease would occur usually by over-irrigation. 'Whitegreen' cultivar was registered as a novel variety with No. 3456 in Korea seed and variety service on April 2011.

A Study on the Locational Patterns of Wedding Shops in Seoul : A Case of Gangnam-Gu (서울시 웨딩 업체의 입지 패턴에 관한 연구 : 강남구를 사례로)

  • Wedding shops, which had been located in Jung-gu, Jongno-gu, Seodaemun-gu, and Mapo-gu in 1990, have been shown a rapid change in light of location since the year of 1995. Thus, most of shops are concentrated on Gangnam-gu in 2010. Wedding dress shops in Gangnam-gu were distributed between Kanglim Church and Apgujeong station in the early 1990s, and then moved gradually to Dosan park and then to Cheongdam-dong after passing through Hakdong intersection. Luxury image in Cheongdam-dong was the main reason for integration of wedding businesses. This intergration of shops showed the peak at the Cheongdam intersection. A motive of having come to start business in Cheongdam-dong was selected the high awareness and image in district, and was taken the ease for business-based cooperation and connection. High rent and inconvenient transportation were reasons for dissatisfaction. The business-based cooperation and connection were mostly formed through a consulting company. Level and reputation of relevant shops were important elements. Even the connective and associative shops are located the most in Cheongdam-dong followed by Nonhyeon-dong, Shinsa Apgujeong-dong in order. The cluster relationship was most noticeable in wedding studio, wedding dress, wedding consulting, and hanbok(Korean traditional clothes) business. Frequency of vertical cluster was indicated to be more than horizontal cluster. User behavior of wedding businesses in Seoul has been collecting wedding information through internet and wedding consulting business.
