Relationship among Level of Performance of Residents to Tourism, Perception of Tourism Effects, and Intension of Citizen Participation (관광산업 관련정도와 관광개발 인식수준, 관광영향 지각, 그리고, 관광정책참여도의도의 영향관계)

  • This paper closely examines the relation between ‘how the local residents' involvement in a tourist industry and their perception of tourist development have an influence on tourism' and also 'how the understanding of a tourist effect has an influence on the local residents' participating intention in the tourist policy'. The local residents' involvement in the tourist industry was influenced by economical and socio-cultural factors among the influencing perceptions on local festivals, but, statistically, was not influenced by an environmental factor. The local residents' perception of tourist development has influenced on each local festival, and for the rate of influence, the environmental factor was the highest, and in the next order, the residents' intention to participate in tourist policy, the socio-cultural factor, and the economical factor followed. In the relation between local residents' perception of tourist influence and their participating intention, only the factor of socio-culture had a plus(+) influence on the participating intention in the tourist policy. It is expected that this result will be different from the tourist influence of tourist development. Therefore, a study of the perception on the influence of tourist development will be required in the future.

  • Perceived value of the property and determine the satisfaction and accommodation factors impact factor in customer satisfaction, and perceived value of factors for the tourists and the the satisfaction degree of freezing gareul analysis in the following results are derived. First, the economics of accommodation, convenience to the tourists, but the perceived value and accessibility and facilities that do not affect the show better, second, the perceived value, affordability, amenities, increase tourists' satisfaction showed.

Residents' Perceptions of Tourism Impacts on Soraksan National Park (설악산(雪岳山) 국립공원(國立公園) 지역주민(地域住民)의 관광영향(觀光影響) 지각(知覺))

  • The purposes of this study were to understand the resident' attitudes toward national parks and to identify the residents' perceptions of tourism and the influence of socioeconomic characteristics on their response. In winter of 1997, 153 questionnaires were obtained from a convenience sample of households within Soraksan National Park boundary. The residents perceived both positive and negative environmental and economic impacts of tourism, however, they were reluctant to attribute social costs to tourism. Despite some negative tourism impacts, most of the residents supported additional tourism development and disagreed to limit the number of visitors. Their perceptions of tourism impacts were varied with age, education level, economic dependency on tourism, place of residence, and length of residence.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of local residents towards the tourism impacts. The region of this study, Anmyeon-do has been developed as an international tourist destination since 1993. This study was trying to estimate the perception differences between groups of resident in teams of socio-demographics, geographic characteristics and psycho-behavioral characteristics. Self-administered questionnaire survey was administered for the residents. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA was tested for the perception differences. Using segmentation approaches, it was revealed that geographic characteristics and psycho-behavioral characteristics were relatively useful to test the perceptions differences of residents towards tourism impacts. Implications are drawn for regional tourism policy and management.

  • This study is focused on analysing the relationship among ethical consumption concept, fair tourism attitude and purchasing intention of ethical consumption on tourism social media with considering risk perception of ethical consumption as a mediator between fair tourism attitude and purchasing intention of ethical consumption. We found the results as follows. First, the statistically positive relationship is found between ethical consumption concept and fair tourism attitude and between fair tourism attitude and purchasing intention of ethical consumption. And also we observed that the moderating effects of risk perception of ethical consumption on the relationship between fair tourism attitude and purchasing intention of ethical consumption. The most important is resulted as offering fair tourism information through social media.

  • This paper examines into the influence of the public servants' perception of tourism industry on their understanding of importance of the tourism industry. For a study, the positive analysis was carried out which the public servants' perception of tourism industry was different in accordance with the satisfaction of tourism policy. The result of the analysis showed that the benevolent influence of the public servants' perception of tourism industry had a significant effect on the satisfaction of tourism policy and the cost of tourist influence had no significance of itself. It has been shown that both the influence of the public servants' perception of tourism effect on their understanding of importance of the tourism industry and that of the benevolence of the tourist influence on the understanding for the importance of tourism industry showed had plus(+) effects. Especially, it has been shown that the influence of the cost of tourist effect on the understanding for the importance of tourism industry had a minus(-) effect.

  • This study is which sees analyzes the distance perception of the tourist affects in tourist resort selection conduct and this leads and there is the goal provides a fundamental data to the marketing strategic establishment an area tourist resort activation. According to the research result residence of choice there was a difference to psychological distance perception, according to sex and occupation appeared with the fact that is difference to tourist resort selection conduct. The psychological distance perception while tourist resort selection acting was analyzed with the fact that affects in travel ability. The research which sees psychological distance perception affects with the scholastic questionable matter which analyzes the thing a practical questionable matter respects an area tourist resort marketing strategic establishment together in tourist resort selection conduct and provided new fundamental information.

  • The purpose of this study is to promote package tourism. The value perceived as a sub-factor of tourism motivation and inducement was divided into emotional and functional values. And the variables of tourism constraints, satisfaction and behavior were addedly presented. The analysis proved that all factors have a positive effect on perceived values (emotional and functional) of the sub-factors of tourism motivation (daily escape, harmony, service appeal, convenience). The perceived value (emotional and functional) has also established a positive impact on the satisfaction, and tourism restrictions have been proven to have a negative impact on satisfaction and behavior intention. Finally, it was confirmed that there was a positive relationship between the two variables of satisfaction and behavior. Based on these research results, the implications and future research directions were presented, and it could be useful for promoting package tourism.

Residents' Perception Differences on the Community Festival Impacts (지역축제의 영향에 대한 지역주민의 지각 차이 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of local residents towards the impact of Geumsan ginseng festival. This study was trying to examine the perception differences between groups of resident by tourism relatedness. Self-administered questionnaire survey was administered for the Geumsan residents. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and t-test was administered for the perception differences. Using social exchange theory, it was revealed that tourism relatedness was relatively useful to test the perceptions differences of residents towards festival impacts. Tourism related residents perceived positive impacts more strongly and negative impacts Jess strongly compare to non related residents. The result suggested that residents' perception of festival impacts was dependent on the level of tourism relatedness and implications are drawn for community tourism policy and management.
