  • 사람들은 대부분의 시간을 집이나 직장에서 보내게 된다. 그러므로 집과 사무실은 삶에 있어서 가장 중요한 두 개의 공간인 것이다. 인간공학적으로 디자인된 사무실은 그곳에서 일하는 사람들의 신체적, 사회적 요구에 부합하게되어 작업능률과 만족감을 향상시키며, 스트레스를 조절하고, 건강과 안전을 위협하는 요소를 최소화한다. 특히 많은 책임과 권한을 가진 사장들에게 있어서 인간공학적으로 디자인된 환경은 필수적인 요건이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 사례조사법을 이용하여 미국 Lowa주 주도인 Des Moines에 사무실을 갖고있는 10개 보험회사 사장들을 대상으로 설문지와 관찰조사 및 실내공간 스케치를 이용하였다. 대부분의 사무실은 직접적으로 일과 관련된 디자인 부분만 강조되어 있었으며 그들의 많은 시간이 읽기와 쓰기등 시각적인 일에 쓰여지고 있음에도 불구하고 조명, 특히 국부조명은 거의 고려되어 있지 않았다. 상담이나 접견과 같은 활동을 위한 가구의 선택이나 실내공간계획이 제대로 되어 있지 않았다. 사용후 평가를 실시한 결과 대부분의 대상자들은 심리적, 생물학적 요구사항들에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 하였다. 디자이너는 좀더 사용자 위주의 공간계획을 해 나가야 할 것이며 각각 다른 사무실특성, 기능, 인간관계. 특히 종업원과의 관계, 사업종류 등을 명확히 이해해야 할 것이다.

  • We lead a life in our community, beginning a new relationship with a stranger or maintaining or stopping existing relationships. Relationships with others are sustained through social activities based on communication. Generally speaking, by exchanging feelings and information through communication, relationships are formed and continued, and strengthened through active communication As a result of the development of technologies and information technology over the recent 10 years, a mobile phone has stood as a communication channel, and now it has become such a universal, and highly intimate and important means of communication that almost all the Koreans use more often than wired phones. Today, people have their communication channel available for others, by using a mobile phone at any time and anywhere. Like this, mobile phones have been playing a key role in helping people maintain, repair and strengthen their personal relationship, but from the perspective of personal relationship management, they still remain as an aid to help communication, failing to provide a positive help for actual relationship management. This study was designed to provide services supporting user's personal relationship management, focusing on the use of mobile phones as a major tool of communication, aiming to enable users to understand current state of their relationship and make relationship management efforts, or communication behaviors, by informing who needs communication, on the basis of data on mobile phone calls. To this end, the study established a method to extract intimacy between users and callers and develop a prototype of services supporting personal relationship management, using relationship characteristics in terms of mobile communication.

전통마을 공동체 문화의 현황과 공간적 특성

  • 본 연구는 도시민의 공동체 의식함량을 위한 주거단지 모델개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위해 연구가 진행되었다. 1차적인 자료 수집의 목적에서 국내의 25개 전통마을을 답사하고, 자료를 정리하였으며, 전통마을에 내재되어 있는 공동체 문화적 요소를 통해, 마을의 공간적 특성과 장소적 의미를 이해하고자 하였다. 전통마을에서 인간과 자연은 도덕경 25장에 나오는 '인법지(人法地) 지법천(地法天) 천법도(天法道) 도법자연(道法自然)[사람은 땅을 본받고, 땅은 하늘을 본받으며, 하늘은 도를 본받고, 도는 자연을 본받는다]'의 글귀처럼 서로 관계를 맺으면서 살아왔다. 또 그 속에서 인간 서로 간에 관계를 맺으며, 의지하며, 이해하고, 때론 단결하며 살아가는 모습은 인간이 향유해야 할 이상향이다. 또 그 관계를 지속적으로 영유하고자 그들만의 규범의 정신을 마을이라는 작은 울타리에서 실현하고자 하였다. 우리는 이러한 공동체적 문화와 교훈을 전통마을이라는 오래된 미래에서 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

The Sangsaeng Ecological Theory of Daesoon Jinrihoe: Focusing on the Meaning of Sangsaeng (대순진리회의 상생생태론 연구 - 상생의 의미를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to define the meaning of 'Sangsaeng (mutual beneficence)' within the context of 'Sangsaeng ecological theory,' a form of discourse of that has emerged from Daesoon Jinrihoe's perspective on ecology. Sangsaeng ecological theory applies the concept of interdependence to ecology in order to explain how Sangsaeng, which is commonly used as an ethical system for humans, can be applied to the realm of ecology such that it extends its scope of application to include non-human beings. Interdependence, when applied to ecology, is formed via relationships between individuals. Such relationships can be positive, negative, or neutral, and the type of interdependence that emerges can be competitive, predatory, parasitc, and symbiotic. Even if the relationship between individuals ends negatively, it can still exert a positive effect on the ecosystem. Consequently, all of these produce a type of 'dependence'. However, relationships that end negatively can generate grievances, and from the perspective of Sangsaeng ethics, this type of interdependence is to be avoided. Therefore, by way of contrast, ecological Sangsaeng may include both relationships of positive interdependence and relationships of predation, parasitism, and competition in so far as there no grievances. Ecological theory requires a perspective that enables an understand of the relationship between nature and humans in an integrated way that does not separate them. One view of universe, known as Cheonji-saengin-yongin (Heaven and Earth give produce humans make use of them) provides insights into the relationship between the universe and humans and nature and humans from an interdependent perspective. Heaven and Earth take humans as the basis of their existence, and only after humans discover the law of nature and the sacredness behind it can a deep interdependence between Heaven and Earth and humans and nature and humans be established. However, as modern humans emerge, the interdependence between Heaven and Earth and humans collapses as they destroy nature and lower the authority of Shindo (divine order). Haewon Sangsaeng (the resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence) and Boeun Sangsaeng (the reciprocation of favors for mutual beneficence) is the solution to reestablish the interdependence that has been disconnected between Heaven and Earth and humans and nature and humans. The practice of Haewon Sangsaeng through Gongbu rituals is the way to restore interdependence between nature and humans. The process of humans achieving Dotong (mastery of the Dao) through religious practices is the practice of Boeun Sangsaeng, and humans will be reborn into Injon (Human Nobility or 'divine humans') with ecological nature and enjoy an eternal interdependent relationship with nature. In summary, Sangsaeng in the context of Sangsaeng ecological theory is the idea and practice of allowing nature and humans to restore their interdependence and live on eternally.

Mobile Phone and Extension of Human Communication (이동전화와 인간 커뮤니케이션의 확장)

  • Mobile phone media have extended the terrain of human communication. Starting from the notion of McLuhan, this study suggests that the extension of human communication is a concept of multiple dimension, such as 'extension of function' and 'extension of ego' Mobile phone speed the pare and efficiency of life, but also allow more flexibility at business and professional levels as well as family and personal life. On the other hand, mobile phone is also conceived as a personality kit, that is as a symbol of user's identity. So we ran classify the mobile phone users as a typology of motivation. Group I, entitled 'hyper-coordination', has high instrumental and high expressive motivation. Group II(='instrumental') is high instrumental but low expressive. Group III(='expressive') is low instrumental and high expressive, and Group IV(='minimal') is low in both instrumentality and expressiveness of mobile phone use. Then would the hyper-coordination group have different usage pattern with the other groups? A sample of 482 university students completed survey questionnaire. , which states hyper-coordination group would most frequently make calls and text, and have largest extensity and variety of usage, is supported statistically. states that hyper-coordination group would have larger and deeper social network than the other groups. This hypothesis is also supported with statistics.

A Study on the Meaning of Ecological Sustainability in the Ecological Ethics (생태적 지속가능성의 생태윤리적 의미에 대한 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the meaning of sustainability in sustainable development in the ecological ethics, and suggests the importance of ecological sustainability. In the discussion of ecological sustainability the relation between sustainability and change should be regarded as not conflictual but interactive. The concept 'ecological' in this context means network, and the concept 'sustainability' means the relationship between changing being(or beings) which constitutes ecological system and its unchanging being(or whole relation). So there are two axes of human and ecological system, and three elements namely network which means mutual dependence of human and nature, sustainability which means the maintenance of ecological relations, and responsibility which humans should take for the sustainability, in the ecological sustainability. The maintenance between being and relations of beings, changing sustainability, the priority of being to non-being, mutual interdependence on the basis of solidarity of beings are important values in the ecological sustainability.

  • This study seeks to improve the problems of analytical rigor and practical utility found in the concept of human security by examining ways to create a global governance system for the effective achievement of United Nations Millennium Development Goals(UN MDGs). This study regards poverty as the most fundamental threat to human security in order to achieve the analytical rigor of human security concept. At the same time, it also examines how to creating a global governance for achieving UN MDGs to improve practical utility of human security concept. The global governance system of MDGs should acquire global political representativeness, efficacy of policymaking process, and democracy within it. For these purposes, the creation of a "Global Summit for Development," the establishment of a more equal partnership between the states, international organizations, and NGOs, and institutionalization of operational and strategic cooperation among development institutions are proposed.
