Satellite Land Cover Map Generation Using Deep Learning (딥러닝을 이용한 인공위성영상의 토지피복지도 생성기술)

  • 본 논문에서는 대한민국 국토에 대한 토지피복지도를 인공위성 영상으로부터 생성하는 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 먼저 합성곱 신경망을 이용하여 인공위성 영상의 각 패치를 4 종류의 토지 용도로 분류한다. 이후 인공위성 영상과 토지 용도 분류 결과를 조건부 랜덤 필드에 적용하여 픽셀 단위로 색상과 질감이 유사한 영역을 같은 토지 용도로 분류될 수 있도록 하여 정확한 토지피복지도를 생성한다. 현재 대한민국 국토에 대한 토지피복지도 생성을 위해 구축된 데이터 세트가 없기 때문에 본 연구에서는 합성곱 신경망 학습을 위한 데이터 세트를 직접 구축하였다. 이를 위해 환경공간정보 서비스 웹사이트로부터 인공위성 영상을 취득하고, 각 영상을 패치 단위로 나누어 토지 용도를 직접 분류하였다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 토지 용도 분류 합성곱 신경망의 성능을 평가하였으며, 최종 생성된 토지피복지도는 제안하는 방법이 효과적으로 토지 용도를 분류할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

A Case Study on STEAM Lesson through the Teachers' Learning Community (교사학습공동체를 통한 STEAM 수업 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to construct a Teachers' Learning Community (TLC) with three teachers from the same school and to develop a joint teaching plan for students through the TLC. The conclusions from this study are as follows: The TLC with the same grade helps teachers to implement STEAM classes, where teachers overcame difficulties of STEAM lessons and successfully implemented them. Teachers in this study expressed difficulties of STEAM lessons including lack of time, difficulties of STEAM lesson implementation, and difficulties of developing a good STEAM lesson. Teachers worked together to develop a common teaching plan, to overcome the burden of teaching, and to plan better lessons through discussions and cross-checking. In addition, teachers newly discovered difficulties of lesson implementation as they watch each other teaching using a joint lesson plan. Teachers will conduct a better lesson as they improve these difficulties, where a better lesson means having students reach learning goals and learn from the lesson. Teachers in TLC felt that their lesson improved and they themselves growing through a series of courses of watching and learning each other's lessons.

  • In recent years, parents of students and government have been taking a growing interest in education for the gifted students and there are many research reports about the gifted education. Most of the reports, however, focuses on the conceptional feature of the gifted education program such as organization, operation, management, evaluation, etc,. In other words, there are very few researches on instructional materials for gifted students even though the materials is a critical factor for successful education programs. So, this paper introduces a lecture notes used in a personal education for gifted students to contribute in developing education contents in computer science area. The instructional materials titled as "The Necessity and Application of Matrix in Computer Science" is based on linear equation to usher the students into creative problem recognition and groping for solutions. Also, the instructional materials is useful for students to understand the tight mathematics-computer science relationship and the basic concept of liner algebra.

  • Recently substantial learning model is strongly demanded through which ICT could be effectively used at PBL, teaching and learning method, based on constructivism putting an emphasis on learner centered education. This thesis is designed to introduce the way to make the most of ICT when teachers try to make teaching plan applying PBL to science class. PBL courseware is designed to make teacher and student use by applying traditional science class model to the model for problem solving of PBL. analysing class according to the degree of connecting ICT with contents of learning. This paper suggests 8 stages of PBL package development and 5 stages of teaching pattern to grasp whole procedure.

Analysis of Difficulties Experienced by Pre-service Secondary Science Teachers in Student-Teacher Practice (중등 과학 예비교사들이 교육실습에서 겪는 어려움 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to get implications on teacher education curriculum according by analyzing pre-service secondary teachers' difficulties during student-teacher practice. Fifty-six pre-service secondary teachers were requested to write anecdotes about their student-teacher practice. Pre-service secondary teachers revealed that they had experienced the most difficulties relating to instruction teaching. They answered that they had especially comprehended inducing interest in diffcult learners, attention, appropriate composition of questions, and learners' understanding levels. Pre-service secondary teachers showed that they had tried to control students in experiment instruction. Also, they demonstrated that time for guidance counseling had been insufficient. They were dissatisfied with the content and level of counseling. Therefore, we need to improve teachers' college curriculum by performing student-teacher practice and feedback. We especially need to systematize teachers' college curriculum on the basis of developing standards of science teachers' expertise.

Improvements in Patch-Based Machine Learning for Analyzing Three-Dimensional Seismic Sequence Data (3차원 탄성파자료의 층서구분을 위한 패치기반 기계학습 방법의 개선)

  • Recent studies demonstrate that machine learning has expanded in the field of seismic interpretation. Many convolutional neural networks have been developed for seismic sequence identification, which is important for seismic interpretation. However, expense and time limitations indicate that there is insufficient data available to provide a sufficient dataset to train supervised machine learning programs to identify seismic sequences. In this study, patch division and data augmentation are applied to mitigate this lack of data. Furthermore, to obtain spatial information that could be lost during patch division, an artificial channel is added to the original data to indicate depth. Seismic sequence identification is performed using a U-Net network and the Netherlands F3 block dataset from the dGB Open Seismic Repository, which offers datasets for machine learning, and the predicted results are evaluated. The results show that patch-based U-Net seismic sequence identification is improved by data augmentation and the addition of an artificial channel.

  • 산업/직업분류 자동코딩시스템은 고용조사 등을 함에 있어 사업체 정보, 업무, 직급, 부서명 등 사용자의 다양한 입력을 표준 산업/직업분류에 맞춰 코드 정보를 제공해주는 시스템이다. 입력 데이터로부터 비지도학습 기반의 색인어 추출 모델을 학습하고, 부분단어 임베딩이 적용된 색인어 임베딩 모델을 통해 입력 벡터를 추출 후, 출력 분류 코드를 인코딩하여 지도학습 모델에서 학습하는 방법을 적용하였다. 기존 시스템의 분류 결과 데이터를 통해 대, 중, 소, 세분류에서 높은 정확도의 모델을 구축할 수 있으며, 기계학습 기술의 적용이 가능한 시스템임을 알 수 있다.

  • 6차 교육과정부터는 과학 교육에서 학생들의 학습 목표를 과학 개념에 대한 이해 뿐 아니라 탐구 사고력 및 기능 향상도 중요한 목표로서 취급하고 있다(교육부, 1992). 그런데 학생의 탐구 사고력을 향상시킬 수 있는 과학교육이 제대로 이루어지지 못하고 있는 것이 현재의 실정이다. Schwab(1961)가 탐구 학습의 단계를 분류하면서 지적한 바 있듯이 탐구는 주어진 과제를 해결하는 고정적 탐구보다는 스스로 과제를 설정하고 이를 해결하려 하는 유동적 탐구가 더 바람직한 방향이며, 이러한 유형의 탐구를 통하여 학생들은 창의성의 신장과 함께 과학적탐구가 이루어지는 과정을 더 올바르게 이해할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 탐구의 상황을 학교 실험실만이 아닌 좀 더 생활 주변의 여러 가지 경험과 관련된 쪽으로 안내하는 것도 필요하다. 최근 활발한 컴퓨터의 보급과 인터넷 환경의 확대로 인하여 학생들이 이러한 환경에서 교사와 직접 동일한 시간, 동일한 장소에서 대면하지 않고도 의사소통하고 교수-학습이 이루어질 수 있는 기회가 사회적으로 가능해지고 있다. 이러한 원격교육은 교사의 안내에 따른 탐구 교수 형태의 개념 확인 및 검증 실험이 대부분인 전통적 과학학습 방법과 달리 학생 스스로 문제를 찾고 해결하려고 시도하는 것을 통하여 과학적 탐구 기능의 향상은 물론 과학적 개념의 획득, 과학, 사회, 기술에 대한 폭넓은 인식을 형성하는데 도움이 된다. 또한 인터넷 환경을 이용하면 학교 실험실 상황을 벗어나 학생들에게 다양한 탐구 활동 기회를 제공할 수 있고, 또한 그에 따른 의사 소통이 더 용이해질 수 있다. 이에 따라서 본 연구에서는 탐구 과정기술과 사고력을 중시하는 초등학교 과학과목의 특성을 고려하여 이에 적합한 인터넷 원격교수-학습을 위한 교수-학습 모형과 학생들의 과학적 탐구력과 사고력을 신장시킬 수 있는 멀티미디어 학습자료를 개발하고, 이를 실제적으로 적용할 수 있는 웹사이트를 개발, 현장에 적용하여 원격교수학습이 과학적 탐구력과 사고력에 미치는 효과에 대하여 조사하였다.

Design and Application of the Problem Based Learning Model for Environment Teaching Unit (환경단원 수업을 위한 문제중심학습 설계 및 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was to design the coaching strategies for the problem based learning and examine 'the problem situation' to analyze the process of learning as it applies to the students' perception on problem based learning. The steps of this model were as follows: 1) presentation of the problem situation 2) confrontation of the problem 3) know/ need to know 4) definition of the problem statement 5) collection and sharing of information 6)generation of possible solutions 7) assessment of the best fit of solutions 8) presentation of the solution. Problem-based learning steps and coaching strategies were designed and implemented to 2nd grade high school students for the environment teaching unit. The results demonstrated that group discussion in the know/need to know step was most helpful for students to review what they know and generate solutions. At first students tend to state problems widely but through repeated group discussions they gradually clarified the problems. In the students' personal reflection notes and perception questionnaire of problem-based learning, many students especially showed difficulties in defining the problem statement. In contrast they participated actively in the learning process and express their opinions enthusiastically. Therefore, this study suggests that developing problem situation based on real context is of great importance for implementing a problem based teaming model continuously.

The Cognition Changes Related to the Teaching Methods of "Light" Chapter for 7th Grade as Experienced by Science Teachers in Abduction Thinking (귀추적 사고를 경험한 과학 교사들의 중학교 1학년 빛 단원 지도 방식에 대한 인식의 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the difficulties of teaching the chapter on 'ight', experience of learning, teaching methods, and thinking types of 10 science teachers of the master's course in chemistry education. Discussion course for abduction thinking was carried out during 12 hours after the interview. Data were collected from individual interviews of 4 teachers among the 10 subjects and from the reports of the science teachers after the discussion course. From the data, it was found that most of the science teachers had suffered difficulty in teaching the chapter on light before the discussion course. Most of them had tried to teach drawing the path of light, but there was little teaching effect. Their teaching methods were similar to the method of what they had learned. During the course, the teachers recognized they could not see the path of light directly, and it needed inferring from image. From the abduction thinking, the teachers recognized the meaning of image and gained concrete methods in teaching students.
