Development of Ecodesign Methodology for Developing Eco-friendly Automobile Parts (친환경자동차 부품 개발을 위한 Ecodesign 방법 개발)

  • Systematic improvement of the environmental performance of industrial products is a core element of good business. Improving the overall environmental performance of products is envisaged as one of the most important strategic goals and objectives in many company policies. This paper demonstrates an Ecodesign approach to develop a product in a systematical way. The objective of this research is two-folds-describing a systematic procedure of implementing Ecodesign in a company and giving a real case example to demonstrate the application of the proposed Ecodesign methodology. The methodology was based on Wimmer et al and consists of seven steps out of the twelve steps for integrating significant environmental aspects of a product and environmental issues resulting from the stakeholder requirements into product design and development. Together with the Ecodesign team of a major domestic car manufacturer the Ecodesign of a car fuel tank unit has been chosen for the case study presented in the paper. The application of the proposed methodology to the fuel tank unit of a car indicates that practical target specifications of the fuel tank unit were derived systematically. This indicates that the seven steps approach can be a viable Ecodesign method for manufacturers to integrate environmental aspects of their products into their product design and development processes.

  • In This paper, the operating system using priority based round robin scheduling system is designed and implemented. Using this scheduler, Real-Time operation is possible because High priority Task is running first and the other Task is running in parallel. Also Intertask Communication, Device Driver and operating system suitable for using the compact sized embedded system were implemented. Therefore this Operating system provides efficient and rapid implementation for the compact sized embedded system application.

  • 주조방안이란 주형(금형)에 공동부를 어떻게 설계하고 공동부의 어떤 위치에 어떻게 탕도, 탕구 등을 설계할 것인지, 또 over-flow 및 air-vent는 어떻게 설계하여 가스뽑기 및 용탕을 공동부에 원활히 충진시켜 완전한 제품을 얻을 수 있을까에 대한 제반적인 주조방법의 계획이다. 즉, 용탕을 공동부에 충진시키는 시스템이며, 주조상에 발생하는 제문제 및 주조제품의 품질에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요소 중의 하나이다. 따라서 만약 주조방안 시스템이 부적절하여 불량률이 높은 경우에는 대폭적인 금형수정이나 경우에 따라서는 불가피하게 금형을 신작해야 하는 큰 문제도 야기될 수 있다. 또한 기본적인 품질문제로 탕회, 탕경, 크랙 등의 외관불량과 기동 등의 내부결함, 내압불량등도 유발될 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 불량대책으로 쉽게 주조방안을 수정하는 것은 주조 시스템 자체가 변해버리기 때문에 피해야 하며 다른 대책을 선행하여 해결할 수 없었을 때 최종적으로 신중히 검토 후 주조방안을 수정하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서, 본고에서는 Al합금 다이캐스트 주조기술에 있어 주조품질을 결정하는 중요한 요소인 주조방안의 효과적인 설계를 위한 주조기 선정, 금형분할면 선정, 탕구계의 설계와 탕구선정, over-flow 및 air-vent설계, 수축여유 및 금형냉각방안 선정기술에 대한 기본적 방안을 제시하고 실제 주조방안의 대표적인 사례를 소개하고자 한다.

A Study on the Structural Optimization for CAD/CAE Integration (CAD/CAE 통합을 위한 구조설계 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • In product development, CAD and CAE systems taking part in the design process were individually developed. Furthermore, in product development, different divisions and businesses often have heterogeneous CAD/CAE systems and methods for expressing product data, and addressing this heterogeneity creates additional costs and causes longer development periods. To ensure successful collaboration in the design process, it is therefore imperative that different CAD, CAE, and other related systems be managed in an organic and integrated manner from the initial stages of product development. Therefore, this study suggests an integrated CAD/CAE system including optimization in a more effective and integrated manner but also to support interfacing and the collective use of design and analysis tools. To validate the proposed method, a stiffened plate example is taken as an example. It is found that the proposed method could overcome the bottleneck of CAD and CAE such as transferability of data, though CATIA and ANSYS are used at the moment. Besides, carrying out an optimization process during the CAE process is another essential parts for the structural optimization process.

An Study on Creative Problem Solving Experiences in Engineering Production Design Class Using Design Thinking (디자인씽킹을 활용한 공학제품 설계수업에서의 창의적 문제해결 경험 연구)

  • This study is was conducted for 37 first-year students (including 27 males and 10 females) enrolled in the engineering product design class opened as a regular class in the second semester of 2018 at 'A' University in Seoul to examine creative problem solving experiences in class using design_thinking. In this study, creative problem-solving ability was divided into creative personality and problem-solving ability and in the results of examining the difference in pre- and post-creative problem solving abilities through Hotelling's T-square test and t-test, among the creative personality, the tolerance & passion, humor, curiosity, and progressive attitude were found to significantly increase after class. Next, in the results of examining the process of creative problem solving through the reflection journal, in the empathy and prototyping and testing stages of design thinking, more activities for problem solving appeared, and at the stage of problem definition and idea generation, it can be seen that more activities expressing creative personality appear. The results of this study show that creative problem-solving abilities can be improved through design thinking, suggesting that instructional support for effective design thinking should be designed.

한국형 2차원 인체모형(마네킨) 개발

  • 최근 워크스테이션이나 오피스 설계에서 인간공학의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며 작업대 높이, 다리 여유공간, 시트 조절범위 등에 대한 인간공학 지침서가 있다. 그러나 이런 지침서가 일부 제 품의 디자인에는 적합하더라도, 많은 제품에서는 설계가 복잡하여 마네킨의 사용이 요구된다. 특히 초기 디자인의 개념과 설계의 개략적인 평가를 위해서는 마네킨의 사용이 필수적이며 특히 작업공간이 제한되거나 특수한 작업이 요구될 때는 더욱 사용성이 증대된다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 신체크기를 대표할 수 있는 마네킨을 구성하는 방법과 cad 마네킨을 모델링하였다. 우선 마네킨의 기본 구조와 형상을 결정하는데 필요한 25개 기본인체부위를 선정하고 인자분석을 통하여 이들부위의 크기를 대표할 수 있는 마네킨 그룹을 결정하였다. 또 각 마네킨 그룹별로 25개 기본 인체부위의 마네킨 설계치수를 도출하였으며 이들 값을 바탕으로 2차원 인체모형을 ANSYS로 모델링하였다.

  • Traceability enables software developers to trace up the changes occurring in software artifacts. In software product line, traceability is more complex than traceability in a single product as commonality and variability should be considered. Modeling traceability between features and requirements has been proposed in the past. However, traceability between requirements and architecture has more factors to consider, including many-to-many mappings and hierarchical structure of architectures. This paper proposes a method of systematically constructing platform traceability between platform requirements and platform architecture. This paper also shows the efficacy of the proposed mechanism through case studies.

  • VoIP 서비스는 인터넷을 기반으로 하므로 인터넷망에서 발생하는 보안 위험이 내재해 있고, 서비스가 실시간으로 이루어진다는 특성으로 인해 기존의 보안 솔루션으로 이러한 보안 위험을 해소하기는 어렵다. 따라서 VoIP 망 구축 초기단계부터 정보보호를 고려하여 보안대책을 세우고 이를 반영하는 것이 비용과 보안 효과 측면에서 바람직하다. 본 논문에서는 상용 VPN 제품에 공개 프로젝트인 SIP VoIP Gateway 'Asterisk'을 연동하여 사용자 인증과 데이터 기밀성을 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 VoVPN(Voice over Virtual Private Network)을 설계하고 구현하였다.

Innovation of Engineering Education via Global Automotive Development Project

  • The paper introduces an educational environment for multidisciplinary automotive development project made with other global institutions worldwide. The main objective is to accelerate students design and manufacturing skills, while giving them the experience of global communications for a large scale collaboration. This objective demands the intimate partnership between industrial design and engineering worldwide as well. Not only is the design and manufacturing portion of the project a challenge, but the students must organize the project teams together to incorporate different subsystem designs from other institutions, which, after all, requires constant communication and a truly team-oriented atmosphere for the global innovative engineering education.

  • Although agriculture has a long history, there has beena lack of consideration and interest in farmers. This paper considered the present condition of agriculture on anergonomic perspective using a literature review and suggestsdirections for afuture study to improve the work efficiency and safety-health of farmers. The results showed that the literature could beclassified 4 categories; the design of agriculture equipment, safety-health, safety management, and product design. The safety-health category contained the majority of papers with product design category containing the minority. In future, a study ofproduct liability probability, the design of a work and rest time, and clothes design against cold will be needed.
