Development of Evaluation Model for achieving the Program Educational Objectives in KEC2005 (한국공학교육인증의 '프로그램 교육목표' 달성을 위한 평가 모형 개발)

  • Though the 'Program Educational Objectives' is the first and important criterion in ABEEK's engineering education accreditation, exact meaning and implementation methods have not been understood well. It was often confused with 'Program Outcomes' and its implementation and evaluation methods do not reflected well on the concepts of "outcomes based and demand driven education". A new implementation model for 'Program Educational Objectives' has been developed using step by step application. The model explains the meaning of every step (phase), and key constituents in each phase. The specialization and CQI of the program could be satisfied by applying the model properly.

  • The Accreditation Board for Engineering Education in Korea was founded in 1999 and the first engineering education programs were accredited in 2001. The purpose of accreditation was to attract outstanding students to engineering colleges as well as to raise highly qualified engineers who would be recognized internationally. The accreditation of engineering education has expanded as more and more colleges and programs are asking to participate in this accreditation program. This study examines the current position and future direction of Korean engineering education. To develop further, engineering education in Korea requires more support to attract outstanding students to engineering colleges and to provide high quality education. Also, Korea should become a member of Washington Accord to be recognized as international level of engineering education as well as active cooperation from engineering related organizations, institutions, and businesses.

Development of Program Curriculum Based on ABEEK Criteria (ABEEK 인증기준에 의한 교육요소 및 교과과정 개발)

  • The third criterion of ABEEK criteria, program curriculum, currently causes confusions and questions among those who are preparing the accreditation, because the requirements in division system for student majors, that many universities adopt in Korea, contradicts those in the ABEEK criteria in various aspects, and the accreditation is new to this country. This paper describes the development procedure of the program curriculum according to the provisions of the ABEEK criteria, and discusses the easiness of the procedure and the difficulties we encountered during the curriculum development. It is found that the third criterion for program curriculum is well documented and provides an acceptable guideline for the preparation of ABEEK accreditation, although there are several aspects to be improved or clarified.

  • 한 번의 인증으로 다양한 서비스들을 이용할 수 있는 SSO(Single Sign-On) 인증 시스템은 기존에 사용자의 인증정보인 아이디와 패스워드를 서비스별로 설정하고 관리해야하는 문제점을 해결하였다. 최근에는 스마트기기의 보급이 빠르게 진행됨에 따라 다양한 서비스들이 웹 기반 형태로 변화되고 있으며, SSO 인증 시스템의 활용 또한 증가하게 되었다. 하지만 SSO 인증 시스템의 경우 공격자로 인해 사용자의 인증정보가 탈취되었을 경우 재전송 공격을 통한 세션 취득이 가능하다는 문제점이 존재한다. 뿐만 아니라 스마트기기로의 SSO 인증 시스템 적용을 위해 기존 방식에 비해 연산의 경량화가 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 SSO 인증 시스템의 구조를 분석하고, 보안요구사항을 만족하는 인증정보 재전송 공격에 안전한 SSO 경량화 메커니즘을 제안한다.

Curriculum Development for Major of Mechatronics for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (공학교육 인증을 위한 메카트로닉스 전공 교육과정의 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of curriculum for the division of Mechatronics in Samcheok University to meet the requirement of Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea(ABEEK). The curriculum of the department of mechatronics in South Korea and overseas university is analysed and then the curriculum is developed considering the synergistic combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, control engineering and computer engineering. And then the geopolitical condition of university is reflected in the curriculum. ABEEK requirements for major of engineering are also reflected. As a result, interdisciplinary curriculum that provides analytic capability and pragmatic qualification to students is developed.

  • 태그의 식별을 DB에 의뢰하는 것에 의존적인 RFID기반 시스템은 리더와 DB가 서로의 통신반경 밖에 있거나 기반 통신망이 없어 DB와 연결이 어려운 환경에서는 응용이 제한적이며, 정상적인 경우에도 병목현상의 가능성을 갖고 있다. 본 논문은 DB가 태그의 인증기능을 리더에게 대리 위임하여 자체적으로 인증을 수행할 수 있는 RFID인증프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 DB와의 통신범위 제한에 비교적 자유롭고, 리더 자체적으로 태그인증이 가능하며, 부가적으로 DB의 연산부하를 경감시킬 수 있다.

  • In the field of secure information systems including electronic commercials, public key infrastructure(PKI) is widely used for secure services. The more PKI domains are established, the more needs we required for cross-domain certifications. Furthermore, each country has many certificate authorities(CA) which requires more complex cross certification. We may need a fast algorithm in order to fad the possible certification paths. This will be more indispensible in the growing PKI systems. Thus, in this paper we design a high-speed certification path discovery algorithm and implement it. Also we investigate the feature of operation of the system.

  • VR/AR(가상현실/증강현실) 디바이스 기술 진보가 가속화되고 관련 시장이 확대되면서 메타버스 플랫폼이 최근 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 하지만 새로운 플랫폼 개발에도 불구하고 사용자를 인증하는 방식은 기존의 PC와 모바일 플랫폼의 인증방식을 따라가고 있다. 본 논문에서 우리는 메타버스에서 기존 PC/모바일 인증 방식을 그대로 적용했을 때 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 제기하고, 모션캡처를 이용하여 사용자의 모션을 입력 받아 메타버스플랫폼에서 활용할 수 있는 사용자 인증방식을 제안한다.
