Tolerance Accumulation Analysis of ECV by Monte Carlo Simulation (몬테칼로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 ECV의 공차누적분석)

  • Tolerance accumulation has serious effect on the performance of an assembled body. This paper proposes the method which analyzes tolerance accumulation using Monte Carlo Simulation. This method can predict tolerance distribution of fully assembled body using the dimensional tolerance distribution of each part to be assembled. In this analysis, it is assumed that the tolerance of each part has the nominal distribution or uniform distribution. This analysis method is applied to ECV(External Control Valve), and the accumulated tolerance of the fully assembled ECV is obtained from the analysis. The results show that initial tolerance given to each part do not meet the design requirement of ECV. Hence, the tolerances of each part are modified and the additional analysis with the modified tolerances yields the results which satisfy the design requirements of ECV.

The design and the analysis of a LED illumination lens using the overlapped model (중첩모델을 이용한 조명용 LED 렌즈설계 및 분석)

  • In this research, the overlapped illumination model was used for designing a freeform LED lens with a uniform illuminance distribution on its illuminating plane, and their performances and tolerances were compared. And, the illuminations on a illumination plane was measures for change with average illuminance and illuminance uniformity. As a result of the tolerance analysis about z-axis direction change, thickness change in lens and tilt change of light emission and characteristic change in LED source, overlapped model and divergent illumination model are similar to the performance about Z-axis direction change of light emission in LED source. but the uniformity illumination value in this overlapped model is more remarkably value than it in divergent illumination model about thickness change in LED lens. Also, even though the lens based on a divergent illumination model showed good performance compare to the lens based on an overlapped illumination model, the latter was less the deviation to variation of LED beam radiation ability.

  • Since the pixel size of the image sensor used in optical systems is gradually decreasing, the resolution specification of the optical system should be inevitably higher. If aberration change according to the eccentricity of a specific lens group occurs, only the amount of eccentricity of a specific lens group may be calculated with the traditional resolution adjustment method so that the aberration of the optical system is minimized to a certain extent. As a result, it is possible to increase the resolution of the optical system and to respond to a sensor with a large number of pixels. However, in the traditional method, there should be no change in specific aberration due to the eccentricity of a specific lens group. In this paper, we propose a new method to eliminate such a limitation of the traditional method in a camera optical system with a floating system, which is to choose and control the arbitrary two lens groups to easily minimize the eccentricity of the optical system in order to obtain an optical system with high resolution.

  • Busan Port is operated separately by a number of terminal operators, resulting in a large number of ITT (Inter-Terminal Transportation) volumes. The occurrence of ITT volume causes various problems such as additional transportation cost, empty truck trips, truck delays and terminal congestion, weakening Busan Port's competitiveness. Among them, the empty truck trip problem is a representative factor, that exacerbates the cost problem of the ITT operation at Busan Port. But the ITT backhaul rate at Busan Port remains low. To strengthen the transhipment competitiveness of Busan Port, it is necessary to increase the ITT backhaul rate. In this paper, to improve ITT backhaul rate, we present a mathematical model for maximizing backhaul transport using buffer space. And we analyzed the improving effects of backhaul transport using buffer space through experiments based on actual operating data.

ABAQUS를 이용한 O-링 밀봉 부의 설계민감도 분석기법 연구

  • 본 연구는 고체 추진기관의 각종 밀봉 부에 많이 사용되는 O-링의 설계시 고려되는 각종 형상인자의 변화에 따른 O-링의 거동과 응력 상태를 분석하여 설계 최적조건을 찾기 위한 내용을 다루고 있다. 조립 부의 내외경과 조립 공차, 챔퍼길이와 각도, 조립 홈의 외경, 깊이, 폭, 구성반경, O-링의 내경과 선 직경 등의 설계 변수에 의한 조립부 형상과 재료의 물성치, 유한요소 선택 및 요소 분할, 경계조건, 하중조건, 접촉부 정의 등을 MSC/PATRAN3의 $PCL^{[1]}$/로 프로그래밍 하여 설계변수에 의한 결과 분석을 손쉽게 수행할 수 있도록 시도하였다 고무의 Hyperelastic 물성치는 문헌상의 자료$자료^{[2]}$에 제시된 Ogden 상수를 사용하였으며 추후에는 인장시험, 순수전단시험, 이 축 인장시험을 통해 실험적으로 측정$^{[3]}$ 하여 적용할 예정이다. 고무의 대변형, 대 변형률을 고려한 비선형 응력해석은 MSC/PATRAN3의 Advanced FEA 모듈과 ABAQUS 5.5를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서의 해석결과를 설계변수들의 영향을 비교 분석하는데 사용하였으나 그 정확도가 입증된 상태는 아니며 추후 실제 조립 및 수압시험을 통해 평가할 예정이다.

Design and Performance Analysis of Lateral Type MEMS Inertial Switch (수평 구동형 MEMS 관성 스위치 설계 및 성능해석)

  • A lateral type MEMS inertial switch was designed on the same principle as spring-mass system. The MEMS switch is used for arming mechanism of the arm-fire device by sensing the applied acceleration. We analyzed the switching capability of the MEMS switch under various acceleration conditions via performance model. Simulation results showed that the MEMS switch works very well at 10 g when the applied acceleration slope does not exceed 10 g/msec. On the other hand, the threshold operating acceleration level simulation exceeded the requirement (10±2 g) due to the width and length of the spring by considering 10% tolerance of the design values. Design modification of doubling the width of the spring, which is difficult to reduce less than 10% tolerance in fabrication process, was proposed after confirming the simulation results comply the requirement.

Improvement of Field Uniformity in a Reverberation Chamber with Various Numbers of a 2D CRD (2D CRD 수에 따른 전자파 잔향실 내의 필드 균일성 개선)

  • This paper presents the improvement of the field uniformity in a reverberation chamber which can be substitute an anechoic chamber for the electromagnetic interference (EMI) and immunity test. Nowadays, there are many EMI issues due to the increasing use of wireless local area network (LAN), digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), and mobile internet. With this reason, this paper studied the field characteristics in a reverberation chamber for 2.3 GHz band. In this paper, the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used to analyze the field characteristics in a reverberation chamber. To improve the field uniformity in the reverberation chamber, this paper adopted a 2D cubical residue diffuser (CRD) with varying the disposition and number of CRD. For each case, the tolerance and standard deviation of the electric field strength are evaluated. In comparison with the reverberation chamber without any CRD, the reverberation chamber with two CRDs showed improved results; 1.98 dB improvement in standard deviation and 3.6 dB improvement in tolerance.

A Study of the Optical System of a Time-of-flight Laser Distance Sensor for a Long Distance with Minimized Divergence Beam Angle (빔 확산각 최소화를 통한 장거리 측정용 ToF 레이저 거리센서 광학계 설계 연구)

  • In this paper, a study is conducted on the design of an optical system of a time-of-flight (TOF) laser distance sensor that can measure long distances by minimizing beam divergence. When measuring a long distance, the amount of light on the object's surface decreases as the distance increases, due to the diffusion angle of the laser beam, and thus the beam at the sensor also decreases, causing measurement errors. In general, a cylindrical lens is used to reduce the divergence beam angle. However, an optical system using a cylindrical lens has the problem of degraded performance due to the difficulty with assembly tolerance, as well as the problem of the increased size of the optical system, and thus the use of aspherical lenses has been increasing recently. Therefore, in this study, the optical efficiencies and assembly tolerances of optical systems using respectively a cylindrical lens and an aspherical lens are compared and analyzed.

Design of High Efficiency Transmission Dielectric Grating for Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA 시스템 구성을 위한 고효율 투과형 유전체 회절격자 설계)

  • A diffraction grating structure composed of two matching layers and two grating layers was formed, and a diffraction grating with high transmission diffraction efficiency in the -1st order was designed through an optimization technique. The designed diffraction grating had a transverse electric wave diffraction efficiency of 99.997% at the design center wavelength, and had a wavelength width of 80 nm and an incident angle width of 20.0° that maintained a diffraction efficiency of 95% or more. By performing the grating tolerance analysis, it was confirmed that the thickness tolerance for a diffraction efficiency of 95% or more was secured to at least 60 nm, and the diffraction efficiency could be maintained even in a trapezoidal shape with an internal angle of less than 10°.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 수도권 전동차량의 주행성능을 평가하는 방법으로 진동성능을 비교검토하기 위하여 실차측정하고 분석한 것이다. 전동차량의 제작년도별로 측정대상차량을 샘플링하여 다양한 조건에서 진동을 측정하고 실측데이타를 시간영역의 통계적 방법으로 분석한 결과 제작년도에 따른 영향도 약간 나타났으며 전동차량의 2차 현가장치의 종류에 따른 영향을 발견할 수 있었다. 또한 측정선로구간의 특성에 따른 영향도 비교적 잘 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
