In this paper, a design and implementation of VHDL-to-C mapping in the VHDL compiler back-end is described. The analyzed data in an intermediate format(IF), produced by the compiler front-end, is transformed into a C-code model of VHDL semantics by the VHDL-to-C mapper. The C-code model for VHDL semantics is based on a functional template, including declaration, elaboration, initialization and execution parts. The mapping is carried out by utilizing C mapping templates of 129 types classified by mapping units and functional semantics, and iterative algorithms, which are combined with terminal information, to produce C codes. In order to generate the C program, the C codes are output to the functional template either directly or by combining the higher mapping result with intermediate mapping codes in the data queue. In experiments, it is shown that the VHDL-to-C mapper could completely deal with the VHDL analyzed programs from the compiler front-end, which deal with about 96% of major VHDL syntactic programs in the Validation Suite. As for the performance, it is found that the code size of VHDL-to-C is less than that of interpreter and worse than direct code compiler of which generated code is increased more rapidly with the size of VHDL design, and that the VHDL-to-C timing overhead is needed to be improved by the optimized implementation of mapping mechanism.
The crystal structure and the microwave dielectric properties of $La(Mg_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_3$ ceramics have been investigated. $La(Mg_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_3$ has the 1:1 ordered monoclinic structure with the lattice parameters of $a = 5.5467(3){\AA}, b = 5.5616(3){\AA}, c = 7.8426(5) {\AA} and \beta = 89.9589 (2)^{\circ}$ The spacegroup of LMT is $P2_1/n$. Monoclinic LMT has the inphase and anti-phase tilting of octahedra with the $a^_a^_c^_$ tilting system. Anti-parallel shift of A-site cations was also found in LMT. The relative density of the specimens sintered above $1600^{\circ}C$ was ranged between 95 % and 96 % of the theoretical density and the dielectric constant of specimens was about 28. The highest $Q\timesf$ achieved in this investigation was 63,100 for the specimen sintered at $1630^{\circ}C$ for 5 hr. Temperature coefficient of resonance frequency ranged from $>-74 ppm/^{\circ}C ~ -79 ppm/^{\circ}C$.
The Phyllostachys pubescens planted in the Nambu forest Experiment was used for this study. The growth ages of the P. pubescens were 1, 2 and 3 years, respectively. The experiment was carried out every month in between June of 2001 and May of 2002. The p. pubescens were divided into upper, middle and lower parts according to the growing points. The static modulus of elascity($MOE_d$) and dynamic modulus of elascity($MOE_d$) were investigated for the physical and mechanical properties of the P. pubescens. The density, MOEs and $MOE_d$according to the growing points were highest in the upper part of the P. pubescens. Generally, density and MOEs and $MOE_d$ of the P pubescens for 3 years grows larger every month. However, moisture content, MOEs and $MOE_d$ of the P. pubescens for 1, 2 years had nothing to do with growth ages and felling time. In the case of the relationships between average MOEs and $MOE_d$ the correlation coefficient was 0.88 in between June of 2001 and May of 2002. Also, $MOE_d$ showed about 18.5% higher than MOEs. Generally, the equally expressed in research that was known that $MOE_d$ of wood is higher than MOEs of wood. Therefore, the $MOE_d$ using a resonance frequency mode is useful as a nondestructive evaluation(NDE) method for predicting the MOE of the P. pubescens.
This study suggests surface wave communication, which uses a metal surface as a medium, to provide wireless communication in the extreme environment due to surrounding metal materials on vessels. The test was conducted on a G/T 265 tons tug boat to confirm the possibility of surface wave communication between a bridge and each designated space in the ship. As a result, the transmission speed was 13Mbps on average. In a test case of the bridge via the engine room, the transmission speed was 4.3Mbps on engine running and 1.2Mbps on sailing. It overcame this by partially changing the equipment installation location. Surface wave communication in bow storage, a fully enclosed space, had 8Mbps better transmission speed than wireless communication; this confirmed the superiority of surface wave communication in confined spaces on a vessel. Additional surface wave generators were designed and applied to resolve the paint issue. It is expected to use surface wave communication to implement the new wireless solution for Maritime-IoT system on vessels.
In this paper, we have proposed a magnetic resonant 6.78MHz WPT(wireless power transfer) technique which can be applied to a fixed transmitter and a receiver of varying relative distance and coil alignment, Power transmission characteristics are studied with the relative distance and misalignment ration of coil area between the transmitting and receiving coils. The coils are designed with the size of 60×80mm2 by direct feeding method, and the characteristics are derived with the maximum relative distance of 50mm and horizontal area misalignment state of 0-40mm misalignment of coil center axis in the XY plane. The power transmission characteristics are compared between the 3D EM simulation and the measured data, and the power transmission shows larger than -3dB performance with the vertical distance of up to 30mm and 50% area misalignmment ratio. This work showsthe transmission characteristics according to relative distance and misalignment state between the cols and that direct feeding has advantage for the short relative distance and small misalignment ratio.

In this paper, a novel small-diameter cylindrical post capacitor inserted into an evanescent-mode rectangular waveguide (EMRWG) is proposed for easier tuning. In order to feed the EMRWG, the proposed structure uses a single ridge rectangular waveguide with the same width and height as the waveguide at the input and output ends. The inserted post capacitor are made up a circular groove formed in the center of the lower part of the broad wall of the EMRWG, and a concentric cylindrical post inserted into the upper part. First, the equivalent circuit model for the proposed structure is presented. When the EMRWG and the single ridge waveguide are combined, the joint susceptance and the turns ratio of the ideal transformer are calculated by two simulations using HFSS (3d fullwave simulator, Ansoft Co.) respectively. The susceptance and resonance characteristics of the inserted post were analyzed by using the obtained parameters and the characteristics of the EMRWG. A 2-post filter with a center frequency of 4.5 GHz and a bandwidth of 170 MHz was designed using a WR-90 waveguide, and the simulation results by using the HFSS and CST, equivalent circuit model were in good agreement.

The response characteristics of the PZT transducers during glass capillary breakage were studied at the epicenter of the glass plate. The PZT transducers had been made by using EC-65 PZT ceramics(supplied by Edo co.) with a constant area and a various thickness. The theoretical displacement and velocity at the epicenter of glass plate with an air boundary condition were calculated by assuming the point load of 1N force strength and a rise time of 280 ns with a ramped functional dependence, and the 1st pulses of the PZT transducer may be considered as the vertical velocity incident on the electrode of the PZT ceramic. The responses of the PZT transducer may be depended on the thickness mode of the PZT ceramic below 0.33 in the ratio of the thickness to the diameter of PZT ceramic, but the reponse of the PZT transducer may be depended on the other modes of PZT transducer in the addition of the thickness mode of the PZT ceramic above 0.33. The full time of half maximum at the 1st pulse was nearly 280 ns without a variation of applied breakage load and the resonant frequency of the PZT transducer, and then may be considered as the rise time of a AE source. The maximum amplitude of the 1st pulse depended on the incident vertical velocity and capacitance of the PZT transducer. Therefore, the full time of half maximum and maximum amplitude of the 1st pulse may be considered as the rise time and strength of acoustic emission source respectively.
At present, there are no clearly stated criteria or theories in calculating additional vertical dynamic loads that occur at the machine foundation due to vibration and reflecting them in the design at home and abroad. According to the domestic standard, although it is not a serious vibration condition, the additional dynamic load due to vibration is considered up to 100% of the static load. This is an extremely conservative design. The purpose of this study is to propose a model test method for evaluating the quantitative magnitude of additional dynamic loads that are generated at certain static loads due to vertical mechanical vibrations. As preliminary basic tests for the model tests, the test for evaluating the effects of reflective wave that may occur within a limited size soil box and the test for estimating the natural frequency of the devised model soil-foundation system were carried out. From the analysis of results for basic tests, a method to minimize the influence of the reflected wave was prepared, and the effect of the resonance of the model system was minimized during the model tests. After the basic tests, the main model tests were conducted. Through the proposed main test, the quantitative magnitude of additional dynamic loads caused by machine vibration on a shallow foundation for machine on medium dense sand foundations were evaluated. From the results of the model test, the feasibility of design applied at home and abroad was reviewed.

This paper describes an integrity evaluation method for emergency diesel generator(EDG) and rotor part of EDG. EDG is a very important equipment in the nuclear power plant(NPP). EDG supplies electricity to the safety-related equipments for the safety shut down of NPP in an emergency situation of earthquake. The safety of the rotor part of EDG is also important during seismic impact from earthquake. The finite element modelling of the EDG including rotor part was constructed. The modal analysis of EDG was firstly performed. The first natural frequency was calculated and revealed higher than the cutoff frequency of seismic spectrum. Then the stress analysis was done to compare with the allowable stress. The safety of the rotor part was investigated by the finite element analysis of the rotor and journal bearing interaction to find film thickness and critical speed. The seismic load was applied to rotor part in a manner that the load was a weighted static load. Analysis results showed that the maximum stress was within the range of allowable stress and the film thickness is larger than the permissible minimum thickness, and the critical speed was out of the operating speed. Hence, the structural and dynamic integrity of EDG could be confirmed by the numerical analysis method used in this paper. However, dynamic analysis of a rotating rotor and supporting bearing with the seismic impact needs to be investigated in a more rigorous method since the seismic load to the rotating part complicates the behavior of rotating system.
Track system and periodic live load are characteristics of railway bridges. In the design and construction of railway bridge, periodic live load increases the importance of dynamic behavior. And It is well known that behavior of railway bridge may be affected by track system in real bridge. Through experimental study, static and dynamic behaviors were investigated. Deflection and stress due to bending moment were measured, the location of neutral axis of each section, natural frequency, damping ratio were analyzed for each three track systems - girder only, installed ballast track system and installed concrete slab track system. According to measured values for the each type of track system, concrete track system increases the stiffness of bridge by 50%, and ballast system does by 7%, dynamic responses of structure change linearly with the magnitude of load and location of neutral axis of each sections varies with each track system. Damping ratio is almost equal without and with track. Therefore, the effects of track system on the integral behaviors of railway bridge can not be ignored in the design of bridge, especially in the case of concrete slab track system. So study of the quantitative analysis method for effects of track system must be performed.
