  • In this paper, the method how to build up technological strength in the domestic construction industry competing with foreign foremost construction firms is provided. Each construction company should make individual research and development continuously, and technologies made by the research and development should be applied widely to real construction projects, therefore, the technological strength can be made. To accelerate the research and development each construction company should consider primary factors, e.g. organization structure, special personnel and strategic plan related to technology, and operation system for the research and development.

  • It was few to the integrated information classification system In domestic construction. Furthermore, it became considerable obstacles to hamper the increase of national competitiveness as well the hoarding of information and overlapped investment. The standardization of information classification is also necessary prior to the Computer-Integrated Construction, CALS(Continuous Acquisition & Life-cycle Support/Electronic Commerce) in construction, EVMS(Earned Value Management System) and the various projects which manipulate construction information. Therefore, this report suggests the development direction and application proposal of Integrated Construction Information Classification.

  • 최근 건설 프로젝트의 대형화 및 다양한 신공법들의 도입으로 불확실한 위험도 요인들이 점점 증가함으로써 일련의 시스템적 절차에 따른 리스크관리 (Risk Management)체계와 프로젝트 참여자들간의 효율적인 정보전달 방안이 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 '리스크 시각화 시뮬레이션 구축 방법론'을 제시한다. 이는 최근 각종공사 정보 시각화부분에서 주목받고 있는 4D CAD 기술과 리스크 분석을 시스템적인 절차로 구성하여 연계한 방법이다. 시스템적 리스크 분석 절차는 리스크관리기법인 AHP 및 퍼지 분석기법을 동시에 적용하여 합리적인 리스크 정량화를 수행할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 그리고 이로부터 산출된 리스크 요인별 위험정도는 WBS 코드체계 기반으로 4D CAD의 공종과 연계되어 리스크 정도 수준에 따라 설정된 색상으로 시뮬레이션이 구현되도록 구성하였다. 이러한 방법론은 IDEF0 모델링 기법으로 제시함으로써 향후 시스템 구축의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

Calculation of the Attached-Piping-Material Rate for the Building Mechanical-Service System in Office Buildings (사무소 건축물의 건축기계설비 배관 부속자재 요율 산출)

  • Currently, in comparison with other architectural estimations, the estimation work regarding building mechanical-service systems is time-consuming, and the process is continuously becoming more difficult because of the increased usage of the attached piping materials such as fittings and hangings in addition to their complicated construction processes. To improve this problem, the Korean authority provides a simple estimation method for the attached-material rate regarding the main piping material, which is the most time-consuming work in the architectural-mechanical estimation. However, to be an applicable method on construction sites, a proper conversion rate of the attached-piping material is still required for the proposed method regarding building usage and working types. Therefore, the purpose of this research is the calculation of the rate of the attached-piping materials such as the fittings and supports through the building of the mechanical-service work types of mechanical rooms, air conditioning, domestic water and hot-water supplies, and the drain-, vent-, and gas-piping work in office buildings that have been designed after 2010.

  • As construction project is becoming larger, construction progress and works are more various and complex according to recent Korean construction tendency. The growth of construction induces much pollution on the progress of construction and the problems due to the construction pollution are raised into social problem strongly, because it is increasing the need on the quality of lift and the desire of clean environment. This study aimed to seek far the effective solving plan of the construction popular complaints by surveying the real condition of construction popular complaints and analyzing the cause and tansaction period of popular complaints. For this study, the laws related and popular complaints were analysed focusing on the documents in low district offices of Gwangju from 2000 to 2004. As a result, the types of construction popular complaints were divided into 17 and the causes were as follows in order: crack and subsidence of ground(14.90%), infringement of private life(11.55%), noise(10.80%), infringement of a right to sunshine(10.07%) and breakdown(6.7%). Consequently, it is considered that these complaints are occurred by physical and environmental causes.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish work classification system of landscape construction in order to offer the basis of new estimation system of public landscape construction. New estimation system is based on historical construction data. For application of this system, the standard work classification system is necessary. Because extensive cost data should be accumulated under an unified construction work classification system. In the study of new estimation system carried by KICT(Korea Institute of Construction Technology), landscaping works belong to earth work of civil engineering. It looks very unreasonable work classification, because landscape archtecture has its own specialties and professional domain. In this study, information classification systems in the construction industry and various landscaping works of housing developments are analysed. As a result. a standard work classification system of housing landscape construction is proposed in section VI-3. This standard work classification structure consists of three levels divisions (i.e large work division, middle work division, small work division) . Now in this study, housing landscape construction works are divided into four large works and twenty six middle works. According to work attributes, middle and small work division is possible to subdivide into details.

  • It is important to know the activities itself exactly and to control the activities correctly so as to assure timely progress and the quality of any project. In order to progress smoothly in accordance with construction schedule, it is important to systematize the preliminary arrangements necessary for each process and then manage them. In this study, in order to progress smoothly the qualify and schedule management of the construction, We can make systematically preliminary works in accordance with construction schedule by the architecture construction items of the apartment house construction. We suggested important preliminary control item by the workers through experiential method of construction engineers in accordance with network schedule. should not use "we" in technical sentence.

  • 손상함수란 건물, 차량, 농작물 등과 같은 피해대상물에 재난강도에 따른 취약도(vulnerability)를 정량화한 함수로, 재난리스크 모델에서 널리 사용되는 개념이다. 홍수재난에서 손상함수는 일반적으로 피해지역에서 조사된 경험적 피해자료(empirical data)를 활용하거나, 표준화된 피해대상물에 대한 손상성을 전문가의 의견(expert opinion)을 참고하여 개발된다. 이때, 취약도를 설명하는 설명변수는 일반적으로 침수심(inundation depth)이 사용되며, 그에 따른 취약도는 손상률(percent damage)로서 상대함수 형태가 일반적이다. 본 연구는 주거건물(residential building)에 대한 손상함수 개발을 위해 자연재난 손해사정 경력자(8인)를 대상으로 표준화된 주거건물(단독주택, 아파트, 연립/다세대주택)에 대해 침수에 따른 건물 손상성을 조사하였다. 주거건물 손상성을 설명하는 최대범위는 건물내부 바닥고를 기준으로 침수심 3m까지이며, 침수심 변화에 따른 손상성을 건물신축 공종에 따라 질의하고 이를 종합하였다. 조사과정은 (1) 표준건물에 대한 정의, (2) 공종별 침수에 따른 손상여부 질의, (3) 공종별 최대 손상률 평가 및 주요 피해내역 토의, (4) 공종별 침수심에 따른 손상률 평가, (5) 결과종합의 단계로 진행되었고, 이를 통해 주거건물 유형에 따른 손상함수를 개발할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 손상함수는 다양한 침수높이에서 주거건물에 대한 취약도를 설명하는 데 장점이 있으나, 그 결과는 향후 홍수피해지역을 대상으로 수집된 다양한 피해조사 결과와 비교하여 보완될 필요가 있다.

Growth of Korean Overseas Construction (한국 해외건설의 성장과 발전)

  • Korean overseas construction contracts reached 40 billion dollars in 2008. In this paper, the economic factors of "the record high growth since 1980's 'overseas construction boom' is investigated. Firstly, most of the contracts were made in the Middle East OPEC countries which made large scale construction investments with the increasing oil revenues... Secondly. large portion of the contracts is heavy industrial plants, in which Korean construction firms have enjoyed comparative advantages. Thirdly, Korean construction firms have been forced to pay attention to the overseas markets, due to the domestic slump of the construction industry.
