Investigation for Optimization of Ultrasonic Soil-Washing Process for Remediation of Diesel Contaminated Soil (유류오염토양의 복원을 위한 초음파 토양세척 공정의 최적화에 대한 연구)

  • Determination of ultrasonic frequency and experimental design approach to optimization of ultrasonic soil-washing process for remediation of diesel contaminated soil were investigated. Ultrasonic frequencies of 35, 72, and 100 kHz were used for determination of optimal frequency. $MINITAB^{(R)}$ program was used for experimental design of optimal washing condition. The optimal ultrasonic frequency was 35 kHz. Even though the number of cavitation bubble is little, however cavitation bubbles involving larger energy compared with high frequency was generated. Therefore, the removal efficiency at low frequency was higher than at high frequency. However the input energy has to be considered when the process is applied. The statistical tests from a factorial experiment shows that the application of ultrasound and mechanical mixing are the most important factor for design of an ultrasonic soil washing process. The lab-scale experiments are required to get the optimal condition of ultrasound and mechanical mixing for application of ultrasonic soil washing process.

A Study on Mediating Effects of the Dimension of Justice in the Influence of Relational Norm to Commitment (프랜차이즈산업에서 관계규범이 결속에 미치는 영향에 있어서 공정성 차원의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • In a power-asymmetry relationship like franchise system, a high dependent franchisee must often rely on its powerful partner. Therefore, in order to build up 'win-win' systems, therefore channel members should increase trust and commitment each other to enhance the relationship quality to sustain long-term cooperative relationships. First of all, to increase the relationship quality in franchise system, franchisor should increase franchisee's perception of the powerful franchisor's justice. The point of this research, I established basic hypotheses and comparative hypotheses to examine franchisor's behavior what franchisee expected which influences on franchisee's attitude and behavior in power - asymmetry relationship in franchise system. For the purpose of the empirical testing, managers of franchisee in the food service industry of Korea had been selected and analyzed, and major findings in this study as follow: First, the relational norm between franchisor and franchisee increased both distributive justice and procedural justice, especially relational norm had more effect on procedural justice than distributive justice. Second, distributive justice increased both economic commitment and social commitment while procedural justice just increased social commitment only but economic commitment. So, on the relational commitment, distributive justice was more important element than procedural justice. On the other hand, procedural justice had indirect effect on economic commitment through distributive and social commitment.

The Effect of Young Generation's Fairness Perception on Hopelessness: Mediating Effect of Perceived Control and Moderating Effect of Self-Esteem (청년세대의 공정성 인식이 무망감에 미치는 영향: 통제감의 매개효과와 자존감의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of the young generation's Fairness perception on the hopelessness at the present time when the hopelessness of the future that young generation is experiencing is growing with social interest. This study examined the mediating effects of the perceived control and moderating effect self-esteem between the fairness perception and the hopelessness of the young generation. For this purpose, the self-reporting data of 313 young people in their 20s and 30s were collected. The results were as follows: First, fairness awareness was positively correlated with perceived control and self-esteem, and the hopelessness was negatively correlated with fairness awareness, perceive control and self-esteem. Second, perceived control mediated between fairness perception and the hopelessness, Third, self-esteem moderated the relationship between the fairness perception and the hopelessness. The high self-esteem group showed little change in hopelessness due to fairness perception while the low self-esteem group showed a big change in hopelessness due to fairness perception, which means that high self-esteem plays a role in alleviating hopelessness when fairness perception is low. The results of this study can be used as basic data to plan ways to improve mental health and quality of life.

  • This study is an empirical analysis completed based on a survey of the members of major construction companies and is analyzed to verify the relationship between the ethical characteristics of major construction companies and firm's competitiveness and its effects. In this study, based on previous researches in domestic and foreign, the factors that are affected by the business ethics were analyzed, and the competitiveness of firms, which is a dependant variable, was divided into four different types: quality, price, sales, and promotion. The proposal and final conclusion regarding the relationship between job satisfaction and concentration was made after the investigation of research hypothesis. The conclusions described below:(By the Linear regression analysis) 1. The product competitiveness is affected by moral competence, will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility. 2.   • 전 세계는 물 부족 문제를 해결하기 위한 대체수자원 개발에 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 그 중에 해수 담수화 기술이 가장 주목받고 있다. 특히 역삼투 방식의 해수담수화기술은 기존 증발식에 비해 에너지 소비량이 적기 때문에 매년 10% 이상의 높은 성장률을 기록하고 있다. 그러나 역삼투 방식의 해수담수화는 지표수를 이용하는 시스템에 비해 상당히 많은 에너지를 필요로 한다. 따라서 에너지 효율을 높이기 위한 다양한 공정 개발이 시도되고 있으며, 그 중에 대표적인 기술이 삼투현상을 이용한 FO (Forward Osmosis)와 PRO (Pressure Retarded Osmosis) 공정이다. 본 논문에서는 역삼투막을 이용한 해수담수화 기술의 현황과 한계를 살펴보고, 현 해수담수화공정을 보완할 기술로써 FO와 PRO 공정개발에 관한 최근 연구 동향과 이러한 신기술의 상용화에 필수적으로 요구되는 막에 대한 개발 현황을 살펴보았다.

The Way of the Increase in Helping Behavior: The Effects of Empathy and Fairness on Intention for Helping Behavior (도움행동을 높이기 위한 방안 모색: 공감과 공정성이 도움행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The importance of helping behavior in our society has been increasing and this study aimed to find the practical strategies to increase helping behaviors with minorities and general public in our communities. Participants(N=156) were randomly assigned to respond to a scenario which measured the intention to help either foreign workers or general public. Also, participants were given the scale of fairness and empathy to respond. The findings of this study demonstrated that (1) empathy and fairness had main effect of the intention to help other persons and empathy and different targets in the unfair perception had interactional effect; (2) the intention to help foreign workers was positively related to fairness and the intention to help general public was affected by empathy. The results showed that according to the perceived unfairness in helping behavior situations, the role of fairness which empathy did not explain was founded. These findings suggest that empathy and fairness in helping behavior are complementary to each other.
