  • Most of the unused facility in urban areas is perceived as an unreasonable space that damages cityscapes. However, unused space has the advantage of having historical value and potential for new development. In consideration of this, various plans have recently been made in terms of cultural use of unused space. The core is the performing arts culture space where various expressions can be expressed. Changes in the educational space that meet the various conditions required in future societies are also one of the topics to be discussed. In this study, we analyze the performance facilities utilizing the unused space and study the direction of educational facilities based on performance.

It deals with definition of digital museum archiving as theoretical background and examples of how to create digital museum archiving as research content. The role that archiving plays in digital museum and effectiveness have been demonstrated. Archive is a term used to indicate extensive material and its storage and referred to as an integrative model of display in the computer-generated space. When it comes to producing dance costume as a form of digital museum, the museum is to be made in the computer-generated area of dance costume. • This research is a basic study to understand the current state of the complex cultural space in the public library and the programs in operation and to explore ways to activate the programs by complex cultural space based on the understanding of the public libraries that formed the complex cultural space. Thus, a survey was conducted on librarians of public libraries that had complex cultural space within the library and found that there were a number of educational, exhibition, and performance spaces, and in the same vein, there were a lot of related programs being run in the complex cultural space. However, due to the lack of personnel in charge and budget, difficulty in developing programs, low participation in the programs, and lack of cultural facilities and materials, the substantialization of complex cultural space management seems to be lacking. Therefore, it will be required to set the goals and visions for the complex cultural space in libraries and to secure space, manpower, budget, and promotional efforts to reinvigorate the complex cultural space in the future.

  • This study focuses on the potential for creating spatial and atmospheric effects in small theaters using mobile stage equipment, without being constrained by physical space or theater facilities, for mega musical productions. With the continuous growth of mega musicals in the domestic market, the study analyzes the distribution and sales of musical works in Korea and proposes methods for creating spatial effects in university musical education to facilitate the production of mega musicals in small theaters. The mobile stage equipment is designed based on the principle of the periaktoi, a stage mechanism used in ancient Greek theater and the characteristics of mobile stage equipment used in musicals such as <Notre Dame de Paris> and <Laundry>. The mobile stage equipment is a four-sided column-shaped device, which is applied to the musical <Les Misérables> to derive the potential for creating spatial effects, representing the inner state of characters, and forming the mood of the drama. The study is expected to provide opportunities for performing mega musical productions in university musical education and to contribute to the development of the musical industry and education. The utilization of mobile stage equipment demonstrates the possibility of producing mega musical productions in small theaters.

  • The rapid change of the culture and art environment is led to new art & cultural education and differences in culture and art education facilities, away from the traditional closed space culture and art education. Phenomena such as plays out of the theater, exhibitions out of the art museum, and pictures taking a walk indicate that cultural and artistic educational facilities can no longer stay in the existing paradigm and are changing along with the changes in the cultural and creative world. Therefore, to develop a site-specific theater education program centered around a specific place rather than a theater or studio, in line with the changing times of cultural and artistic educational facilities, this researcher analyzes Brecht's radio play experiment and the recent performative performance experiment. Furthermore, using the regional and community values of arts and culture education confirmed as the motive for research on site-specific theater programs, I analyze the implementation and application process by experimenting with theater programs out of the theaters and studios. As a prior study, research on site-specific performances is being conducted relatively actively, but earlier studies were dealing only with the Ligna group performance cases are lacking. However, I would like to use the previous research on site-specific performance cases as an epistemological background. As a result of the study, for the place-specific theater program through a total of 10 learners, a text based on a specific place was created that did not depend on traditional literary texts. Through this, the possibility of a site-specific theater education program could be confirmed.

  • Libraries have recently sought to diversify their roles to meet the changing needs of local residents, while faithfully playing the library's original roles. The creation of a complex cultural space and the provision of services based on it are one of the ways to expand its role. In this study, a surveyed and analyzed the awareness of the complex cultural space of the library and the preference and awareness of the program operated in the complex cultural space by conducting a survey on the users of the library currently operating the complex cultural space. As a result, first, it was found that they preferred information space, education space, and rest space in space preference. On the other hand, community space and experience space showed low preference. Second, they prefer educational programs, exhibition programs, and performance programs that utilize complex cultural spaces, but experience programs and community programs have low preference. Therefore, it is necessary to operate the program by providing exhibitions and performance spaces while providing information and education spaces to users. The librarian should also promote the fact that library can be only the space of information and education, but also the space where culture, healing, experience and communication take place. In addition, libraries should strive to improve user awareness of library space.

  • The case of Dance Chang-jak-san-shil, a dance performance support project linked to digital media, was analyzed from the perspective of liveness. The purpose was to examine the limitations of the liveness and to suggest ways to overcome them. The research case was focused on the factors of the time and space and audience (the sharing of field and acceptance experience) of the creative production room that supports works based on the creativity of dance performances. As a result, active SNS for accessibility of performing arts, expansion of access to art through the use of teaching media of art education through archiving, multi-dimensional access and provision for inducing audience participation and creative appreciation in one-way digital media transmission, provision of copyright protection devices, and audience to enter offline. As a long-term strategy for the future of the performing arts field, I would like to present the need for a change in the communication with the audience and experimental works that combine art and technology.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of the sound environment among the various environmental factors that directly or indirectly affect the quality of education through the remodeling of the small hall of the College of Humanities at W University. Before remodeling into a lecture room, the small hall of the College of Humanities at W University, which is the subject of this study, was designed to create an indoor sound environment suitable for a lecture room by recognizing differences in acoustic performance between the performance halls that require adequate sound quality and the lecture rooms where the clarity of voice is important. Therefore, this study aimed to present examples of improved acoustic performance in lecture rooms by remodeling through the stages of measuring acoustic performance before remodeling, presentation of a change in finishing materials through sound simulation, and measurement of sound performance after remodeling. It is expected that this process can be used as an example of securing indoor acoustic performance suitable for educational space, such as lecture rooms, by changing the finishing materials.

  • Ulsan Dutbeki, naturally transmitted by customs, is almost disappearing in the rapidly changing environment of modern society. Therefore, this study, for the purpose of its inheritance, investigated how to teach the basic movements of Dutbeki through the lessons. The subject were mainly composed of the person who met Ulsan Dutbeki for the first time. The curriculum is, at first, the preparation of body and mind to learn Ulsan Dutbeki. And the lessons about movement were in the order of progress of education, Dutbeki to the beat of Gutgeori, and Dutbeki to the beat of Jajinmori. The next step was to learn the dancing by connecting movements. This process is a way for beginners to inherit Ulsan Dutbeki in a classroom which has a limited time and space. The reason for studying how to teach Ulsan Dutbeki dance is for the purpose of transmitting the intangible culture to the ordinary citizens in the reality that people are under cutting off from inheriting the dance which had been transmitted by customs in the past. The performance of this study is to examine the way to teach basic movements with a view to protect Dutbeki, Ulsan's intangible culture, and pass it on to citizens.
