In accordance with Korean structural foundation design standards, dynamic or static load tests are mandated for 1 to 3% of total piles. The construction quality of the remaining 97% to 99% of piles is determined through penetration measurements. This study aims to enhance the quality control of the majority of piles by adopting a pile driving formula that considers both penetration and hammer energy. The current challenge lies in adapting existing overseas driving formulas to the domestic site conditions, characterized by shallow weathered or soft rocks, and the prevalent use of pre-bored piles. To address this, the Modified Gates formula was refined using domestic dynamic load data, thereby improving its applicability to pile management. Despite employing fewer variables, the proposed formula demonstrates a comparable accuracy to dynamic loading tests in predicting the bearing capacity of pre-bored piles. Consequently, this formula holds promise for practical use in future pile quality management.

본 논문에서는 신호 공간 다이버시티 (Signal Space Diversity) 기법이 적용된 시스템에서 최대비 합성 (Maximal Ratio Combining) 수신시 성능 이득에 대해서 분석하였다. 먼저 심볼 오류율(Symbol Error Rate)을 수학적으로 유도하였다. 유도된 공식으로부터 상한(Upper Bound) 분석을 통해 공간 신호 다이버시티 기법이 결합될 경우 기존 대비 2배, 즉 '$2{\times}$수신안테나수' 만큼의 다이버시티 이득을 가짐을 증명하였다. 그리고 모의실험 결과와 유도된 공식 결과 값이 서로 일치함을 보여 정확성을 입증하였으며, 유도된 공식을 기반으로 신호 대 잡음비(SNR; Signal-to-Noise Ratio), 수신 안테나 개수 등 주어진 시스템 변수에 따른 최적 회전 각도를 정확히 도출할 수 있음을 보였다.

This study explores how married migrant women in Korea create social capital in their everyday lives, and how their social capital influences cultural acculturation. This study performs a structural equation model, using two-year data of female migrant women. The results suggest that network elements, including official supports from public organizations and unofficial supports from personal ties, contribute to creation of perceptual elements, including social trust, community involvement and relations. Also, these two elements of social capital have positive impact on acculturation of married migrant women in Korea. The longitudinal analysis provides a basic understanding of the creation of social capital and the relationship between social capital and acculturation of married migrant women and also clearly suggests the importance of public supports rather than personal supports from family or friends.

본 논문은 2-상태 시스템의 신뢰도 계산을 위하여 Heidtmann[3]이 제시한 가역 알고리즘을 부울 대수를 사용하여 경로집합으로부터 절단집합을 유도하거나, 역으로 절단집합으로부터 경로집합을 유도함으로서 효율성을 입증하였으며, 포함-불포함 공식(inclusion-exclusion formula)과 추축 분해법칙(pivotal decomposition rule)을 이용하여 직·병렬구조 및 복합구조의 신뢰도를 계산할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발, 분석하였다.

Purpose: Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is considered as the best overall index for the level of renal function, diagnosis of doubtful kidney disease, progress observation from chronic kidney disease and is measured with the various methods. In this study, We measured standard GFR by Gates method and attempted to compare the result with serum creatinin-based, Cockcroft-Gault(C-G) formula and Modification of Diet in Renal Disease (MDRD) formula. Materials and methods: 217 patients (127 men, 90 women, mean age $51.3{\pm}16.9$) with various renal function were examined. we compared the GFR using $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates), C-G formula and MDRD formula. Results: Significant correlations were noted between 2 different GFR estimates (from C-G formula: r=0.864, p<0.0001, MDRD formula: r=0.831, p<0.0001) and $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR. Average of serum creatinine (Scr) was measured with $3.0{\pm}3.1\;mg/dL$, In patients with normal renal function (Scr<1.5 mg/dL), $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was statistically significant to C-G formula (p<0.0001) and MDRD formula (p<0.0001). In patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency (1.5$^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was not statistically significant to C-G formula (p=0.181) and MDRD formula (p=0.127). In patients with severe renal insufficiency (Scr>4.0mg/dL), $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was statistically significant to C-G formula and MDRD formula (p<0.0001). Conclusions: Glomerular filtration rate using Gates method was closly correlated to C-G formula and MDRD formula. In patients with normal renal function, $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was significantly lower than C-G formula and MDRD formula. In patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency, $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was simmilar with C-G formula and MDRD formula. In patients with severe renal insufficiency, $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA (Gates) GFR was significantly higher than C-G formula and MDRD formula. None of the three different methods was clearly superior to the others.

The paper describes the analysis of large displacement problems including instability phenomena. The element used in this is a degenerated isoparametric shell element with eight nodes. Total Lagrangian formulation has been adopted in this study using Newton-Raphson iteration method with incremental load. The linear stability analyses performed usually for the initial position can be repeated at several advanced fundamental states on the non-linear buckling path. Thus a current estimate of the failure load is given. The numerical examples of a cylindrical panel under uniform load, simply supported plate under axial load, and clamped plate under uniform load are carried out. The examples applying degenerated isoparametric elements to bifurcation buckling and nonlinear collapse problems are also performed.

This study examined longitudinal mediated effects of informal labeling on the relationship between adolescent abuse and academic achievement using autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. Data were obtained from the second, third, and fourth waves of the middle school student cohort (N=3,168) of the Korean Youth Panel Survey. The major longitudinal findings of this study are as follows: First, adolescent abuse was found to have a positive association with future informal labeling. Second, informal labeling was found to have a negative association with future academic achievement. Finally, the longitudinal relationship between adolescent abuse and academic achievement was partially mediated by informal labeling. Based on these results, this study suggests directions for adolescent abuse prevention. The need for education and prevention of informal labeling was discussed, as well as the direction of intervention programs for adolescents with experience of informal labeling. Furthermore, this study may provide empirical evidence for labeling theory and contribute to increasing awareness on the longitudinal influence of adolescent abuse and informal labeling.
