An Equality-Based Model for Real-Time Application of A Dynamic Traffic Assignment Model (동적통행배정모형의 실시간 적용을 위한 변동등식의 응용)

  • This paper presents a variational equality formulation by Providing new dynamic route choice condition for a link-based dynamic traffic assignment model. The concepts of used paths, used links, used departure times are employed to derive a new link-based dynamic route choice condition. The route choice condition is formulated as a time-dependent variational equality problem and necessity and sufficiency conditions are provided to prove equivalence of the variational equality model. A solution algorithm is proposed based on physical network approach and diagonalization technique. An asymmetric network computational study shows that ideal dynamic-user optimal route condition is satisfied when the length of each time interval is shortened. The I-394 corridor study shows that more than 93% of computational speed improved compared to conventional variational inequality approach, and furthermore as the larger network size, the more computational performance can be expected. This paper concludes that the variational equality could be a promising approach for real-time application of a dynamic traffic assignment model based on fast computational performance.

  • With the emergence of SNS, TV, newspapers and radio, which are one-way communication media, have become less important. Therefore social networking enables social networking beyond the constraints of time and space, and communication and emotional communication required for social relations have emerged as a factor in the importance of social media. Social media, which is based on rapid connectivity and scalability, is an medium of expression that is advantageous for companies and consumers to communicate more easily than traditional advertising media. Advertising can form a consensus that consumers and companies can create an atmosphere of friendly conversation because of the social media that has the efficiency of communication. This study compares two ads. One is the advertisement of 'Bear and Hare', an animation of John Lewis department store in the UK, where a new form of advertising marketing strategy is fused with emotional storytelling and social media. The second is an advertisement of LG, 'I love you LG' to be. Social media should be remembered as a warm and loving company in the heart of customers through open communication with customers, rather than companies that pursue merit profits by using social media ads as a medium of emotional transmission to consumers. It is a study on useful advertising strategy that can pursue the sales of the company at the same time.

Curved Screen Display Immersion Simulation System for Landscape Evaluation (경관평가를 위한 곡면스크린 방식의 몰입형 시뮬레이션 시스템)

  • The objective of this study was to examine the possibility of utilizing the immersion stereoscopic image with a curved-screen-display as a tool for evaluating the landscape. The curved-screen-display ensures the continuity of the image and can be simultaneously evaluated by many people. Fifty-meter-wide Gangnamdaero Boulevard in Seoul was selected for this study, and the simulation was done using computer graphics. With the computer simulation, a questionnaire on landscape preferences was conducted according to different visual environments (immersion, non-immersion) and different projection types(stereoscopic or plane image). In the results of this study, the landscape preference was largely dependent on the immersion environment. Using the immersion-type simulation, the observer can easily evaluate the preference with higher judgment power. The stereoscope or plane projection type does not have any significant result in terms of its judgment power. This result implies that it is very important to strengthen the sense of immersion by expanding the screen into an angled view in which the observer can become immersed while making and projecting the simulation to evaluate the landscape. As a landscape evaluation tool for examining the efficiency and usefulness of immersion simulation, this study has limitations in that it controls many factors in street landscape that adversely affect judgment. Accordingly, a detailed comparison and verification of the stereoscopic image in various environments, including street width and building height ratio, must be conducted.

Development of a Framework for Anti-Collision System of Moving Drilling Machines on a Drill Floor (시추 작업장의 이동식 시추 장비 충돌 방지 시스템을 위한 프레임워크 개발)

  • An anti-collision system between equipment is essential on a drill floor where multiple moving machines are operated simultaneously. This is to prevent accidents by halting the machines when required, by inspecting possibility of a collision based on the relative position data sent by the equipment. In this paper, we propose a framework for an Anti-Collision System (ACS) by considering expandability of the number of machines and computational speed, to promote development of drilling machines and corresponding ACS software. Each drilling equipment is represented as an object in the software with its own message format, and the message is constructed with serialization/deserialization to manage any additional equipment or data. The data handling process receives the current status of machines from the drilling control network, and relays a collision related message (including bypass signal) back to the machines. A commercial visualization software shows the bounding boxes moving with the equipment and indicates probable collision. It has been determined that the proposed system maintains total execution time below 5ms to process data from the network and relay the information hence, the system has no effect on the machine control systems having 100ms control cycle.

  • Documentaries are being recreated into a new genre and the Web Documentary is the typical case. Web Documentaries are the documentaries those comprise creators and users and they are the novel type of text that the interaction with users is absolute. In this research, two Web Documentaries and are analyzed for examining how Web utilizes its features as expressive media inducing users to experience reality. Web Documentaries have dual and spatial structure that allows user interaction and make users to face with various information and knowledge about reality by its encyclopedic characteristics. Also, Web Documentaries give the role of progressing documentary and expanding text to users and that is, they stimulate users' consciousness reminding that they are the ones who explore through reality. In this process, users of Web Documentaries get potentiality of critically examining the reality suggested by documentaries and grasping the meanings beneath it. These features make Web Documentaries special contrast to traditional documentaries not only with their way of pursuing the reality but also with their meanings. This makes the innovative position of Web Documentaries phenomenon clear, issuing the necessity of the discussion about Web Documentaries more strongly. Web Documentaries are not just new media technological phenomenon, and they have their significance as a fundamental challenge toward traditional documentaries.

  • The purpose of this study is verifying whether convergence does its role as a transfer medium in dance expression or not, finding the effect of convergence characteristics and confirming whether it would bring change and new creation in performance art or not. This study suggests that studies on convergence in dance are required in accordance with the trend of time. This study believes that convergence is a modern art expression method, which can maximize the artistic expression in dance work and it will play an important role in the advance of dance works. There are ongoing studies on convergence art genre by many creators; however, still academic study this matter is not sufficient. Therefore, it is believed that more studies on convergence genre from the viewpoint of human studies are required. Accordingly, this study took Blush, the dance art works of Wim Vandekeybus, as the subject of study because convergence is clearly visible in these works. It is possible to draw convergence from these works because the works attempt new creation and utilize image by accommodating other genre art in dance art. The convergence in these works maximizes the originality of choreography and expands the time and space of stage through various effects. In other words, it is possible to see that Wim Vandekeybus is doing new attempts in his dance works by experimental elements, which escaped from simple movement, and convergence appears in the works.

Discovery of Genre Information on the Web (웹 상에서의 특정 장르 문서 발견)

  • 정보공유를 목적으로 제안된 웹의 활성화와 함께 유용한 정보들이 웹상에 기하급수적으로 등장함에 따라 정보공간의 확장으로 인한 검색 신뢰도의 저하 문제에 직면하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 대용량 웹 환경하에서 사용자의 정보발견을 돕기 위해 텍스트이외의 새로운 요소들을 사용하여 특정장르문서를 발견하는 개념을 도입하였다. 먼저 사용자가 발견하고자 하는 장르의 모습을 텍스트, URL정보, 링크 정보. 문서구조 정보 등의 장르 식별요소 값을 이용해 표현한 후, 후보 문서들의 장르관련도를 측정함으로써 특정장르 문서를 검색한다. 각 장르식별요소값은 나름대로의 방법에 의해 계산되는데 $0{\sim}1$사이의 값을 가지며, 종합적인 장르관련도는 각 장르식별요소값의 증거통합 방법에 의해 구한다. 본 논문에서는 각 장르식별요소들의 역할과 장르식별요소가 장르발견에 미치는 영향을 알아보며, 최종적으로 특정 장르 문서발견에 있어서의 검색 신뢰도 향상을 보이기 위해 실험모델을 설계/구현하였다. 본 실험은 웹 문서를 대상으로 하는데, 아직까지 URL, 링크 정보를 모두 갖춘 테스트컬렉션이 없기 때문에 실험을 위해 일반적인 웹 문서로 직접 구성한 컬렉션을 사용하였다. 발견하고자 하는 장르는 "컴퓨터 분야의 컨퍼런스 홈페이지"로 정하였으며 30개의 컴퓨터 분야를 선정하였다. 비교대상으로는 일반 웹 검색 엔진인 알타비스타와 메타검색 엔진인 메타크롤러를 선택하였고. 각 질의에 대해 상위 30개의 결과를 대상으로 정확도를 평가하였다. 결과로서 각 장르식별요소들은 모두 검색 신뢰도의 향상에 기여를 하며, 제안하는 방법은 알타비스타와 메타크롤러에 비해 각각 평균적으로 67.34%, 71.78%의 검색 신뢰도 향상을 보임을 입증하였다.적응에 문제점을 가지기도 하였다. 본 연구에서는 그 동안 계속되어 온 한글과 한잔의 사용에 관한 논쟁을 언어심리학적인 연구 방법을 통해 조사하였다. 즉, 글을 읽는 속도, 글의 의미를 얼마나 정확하게 이해했는지, 어느 것이 더 기억에 오래 남는지를 측정하여 어느 쪽의 입장이 옮은 지를 판단하는 것이다. 실험 결과는 문장을 읽는 시간에서는 한글 전용문인 경우에 월등히 빨랐다. 그러나. 내용에 대한 기억 검사에서는 국한 혼용 조건에서 더 우수하였다. 반면에, 이해력 검사에서는 천장 효과(Ceiling effect)로 두 조건간에 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 본 실험 결과에 따르면, 글의 읽기 속도가 중요한 문서에서는 한글 전용이 좋은 반면에 글의 내용 기억이 강조되는 경우에는 한자를 혼용하는 것이 더 효율적이다.이 높은 활성을 보였다. 7. 이상을 종합하여 볼 때 고구마 끝순에는 페놀화합물이 다량 함유되어 있어 높은 항산화 활성을 가지며, 아질산염소거능 및 ACE저해활성과 같은 생리적 효과도 높아 기능성 채소로 이용하기에 충분한 가치가 있다고 판단된다.등의 관련 질환의 예방, 치료용 의약품 개발과 기능성 식품에 효과적으로 이용될 수 있음을 시사한다.tall fescue 23%, Kentucky bluegrass 6%, perennial ryegrass 8%) 및 white clover 23%를 유지하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합할 때, 초종과 파종비율에 따른 혼파초지의 건물수량과 사료가치의 차이를 확인할 수 있었으며, 레드 클로버 + 혼파 초지가 건물수량과 사료가치를 높이는데 효과적이었다.\ell}$ 이었으며 , yeast extract 첨가(添加)하여 배양시(培養時)는 yeast extract 농도(濃度)가 증가(增加)함

Design and Implementation of a Mapping Middleware for Wireless Internet Map Service (무선인터넷 지도서비스를 위한 매핑 미들웨어의 설계와 구현)

  • With the spread of wireless internet, the interest in mobile applications and services is increasing. Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum has been establishing the standards for mobile platform and map service in the wireless internet environment. This study aims to present a paragon of mapping middleware that plays the role of broker for wireless internet map service: in particular, it focuses on the interoperability with generic map servers. In this study, we developed a method for applying current map servers to the wireless internet map service, and analyzed the request/response structure of the map servers which have different operation characteristics in order to allow our middleware to fully utilize the functionalities of the map servers. The middleware we developed is composed of .NET-based XML Web Services: it has a lightweight module for image map and a map representation module for choropleth map, symbol map, chart map, etc. This mapping middleware is a broker between mobile client and generic map server, and supports .NET clients and Java clients as well. Its component-based interoperability grants the extensibility for the wireless internet dedicated map servers of the future in addition to the current generic map servers.

Outdoor Noise Propagation: Geometry Based Algorithm (옥외 소음의 전파: 음 추적 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents a method to simulate noise propagation by a computer for outdoor environment. Sound propagated in 3 dimensional space generates reflected waves whenever it hits boundary surfaces. If a receiver is away from a sound source, it receives multiple sound waves which are reflected from various boundary surfaces in space. The algorithm being developed in this paper is based on a ray sound theory. If we get 3 dimensional geometry input as well as sound sources, we can compute sound effects all over the boundary surfaces. In this paper, we present two approaches to compute sound: the first approach, called forward tracing, traces sounds forwards from sound sources. while the second approach, called geometry based computation, computes possible propagation routes between sources and receivers. We compare two approaches and suggest the geometry based sound computation for outdoor simulation. Also this approach is very efficient in the sense we can save computational time compared to the forward sound tracing. Sound due to impulse-response is governed by physical environments. When a sound source waveform and numerically computed impulse in time is convoluted, the result generates a synthetic sound. This technique can be easily generalized to synthesize realistic stereo sounds for virtual reality, while the simulation result is visualized using VRML.

Stereo Vision based on Planar Algebraic Curves (평면대수곡선을 기반으로 한 스테레오 비젼)

  • Recently the stereo vision based on conics has received much attention by many authors. Conics have many features such as their matrix expression, efficient correspondence checking, abundance of conical shapes in real world. Extensions to higher algebraic curves met with limited success. Although irreducible algebraic curves are rather rare in the real world, lines and conics are abundant whose products provide good examples of higher algebraic curves. We consider plane algebraic curves of an arbitrary degree $n{\geq}2$ with a fully calibrated stereo system. We present closed form solutions to both correspondence and reconstruction problems. Let $f_1,\;f_2,\;{\pi}$ be image curves and plane and $VC_P(g)$ the cone with generator (plane) curve g and vertex P. Then the relation $VC_{O1}(f_1)\;=\;VC_{O1}(VC_{O2}(f_2)\;∩\;{\pi})$ gives polynomial equations in the coefficient $d_1,\;d_2,\;d_3$ of the plane ${\pi}$. After some manipulations, we get an extremely simple polynomial equation in a single variable whose unique real positive root plays the key role. It is then followed by evaluating $O(n^2)$ polynomials of a single variable at the root. It is in contrast to the past works which usually involve a simultaneous system of multivariate polynomial equations. We checked our algorithm using synthetic as well as real world images.
