This study evaluated 26 elderly residents living independently in 4 group homes for their abilities in daily living and analyzed their behaviors of space occupancy and activities of daily living. The aim of the study was to identify the relationships between the physical environments of the group homes and the daily activities of the residents. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Most residents in the group home considered bathing and cooking to be the most difficult of their living activities. The residents were categorized into "Independent," "Semi-dependent" and "Dependent" groups, on the basis of their ADL and IADL scores, and individual groups were examined. On ADL scorelt was shown, then, that 65.4% of the residents were was independent in ADL, but there was no any significant difference in IADL between the independent, semi-dependent and dependent groups. In addition, there was a difference in ADL and IADL among the groups. The independent group's residents were shown to be independent in ADL and IADL, whereas the but those of the semi-dependent and dependent groups' residents were lower in IADL than in ADL. 2) When their behaviors of space occupancy were examined, it appeared that the independent group showed a different space sharing pattern among individual residents, with a wide range of behavior of space occupancy. Meanwhile, The semi-dependent group mostly shared a common space with simple activities of daily living while no any service low leisure program was provided. However, the dependent group mainly consisted of residents who had a low level of independence in ADL and IADL, so that their behaviors of space occupancy were entirely negative.
The Korea high speed train was launched from Seoul to Busan of 1st construction phase at 1st April, 2004. This huge project will be lead to a great change in korean society such as existing mode choice behavior change and the concentrating on KTX station zone lifestyle pattern's change. With the result to opening high speed train railway was diminished train journey time between Seoul to Busan from 4 hours 10 minute to 2 hours 40 minutes, and has been change population movement, favorite location of corporation headquarters, existing metropolitan transportation pattern and so on. In the middle of this study, I choose to analyse Seoul-Cheonan/Asan stations, Seoul-Deajeon stations, Seoul-Deagu stations, Seoul-Pusan stations. This study have a information to analyse among as like movement of population, status of employee structure, usage of land, movement inland transportation mode. I sure that this study will lead to helpful prediction both 2nd phase of Kyoung-bu high-speed railway and Ho-nam high-speed railway in advance.

Since offline contact becomes a strong differentiator as online market expands, the shopping mall calls for more complex and diverse tenant combinations and deployment plan strategies. There is, however, few practical research and causal verification of Tenant Mix, i.e., the combination and placement of tenant and users' behavior, has been conducted which is a key factor in spatial configuration. In practice, Tenant Mix is limited in prediction of consumption behavior of customers by the MD planners's experience and depends only on qualitative arbitrary plan. The purpose of this study is to find out the interrelationship between the spatial configuration and the users' behavior of Tenant Mix in shopping mall, and to present an objective basis in MD planning. According to the analysis, it was possible to know that there are differences in the relationship between the spatial configuration and the users' behavior dependent on the Tenant Mix, which is the space planning of shopping mall. It was also possible to find out the characteristics and differences in the users' behavior which is dependent on the spatial configuration for each tenant. Through this study, it was possible to know the impact of space organization on the users' behavior and the interrelationship between the use's behavior and spatial configuration by tenant together with their characteristics. We prove that the current MD planning has limitation due to lack of objective research on the combination and arrangement of space in the commercial space and only done empirically. This analysis can show the practical plan of combination and placement of tenant which is emphasized in complex and larger shopping malls, and contribute to the revitalization of shopping mall by better use of tenant.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of information resources of the humanities scholars in Korea and suggest the strategic planning of academic library and information services to serve their needs. To collect data, a mail survey was conducted during the period of November 2007 through January 2008. Out of 799 humanities scholars sampled from 25 universities, 132 responded with the completion rate of 16%. Major findings in this study are as follows: First, the majority of the humanities scholars distribute their time equally to research and education, and conduct independent research. Second, they still largely depend on print resources, including scholarly journals, books, and manuscripts for getting information, while using some online information resource mostly in text such as electronic documents and journals. They expect that the frequency of using such print resources would not decline much, but the use of online resources could definitely increase in the next five years. Some variances in the behavior were observed among the groups of scholars according to their research experiences. It is suggested that academic libraries (1) conduct more active outreach, (2) prioritize between traditional and electronic resources, (3) plan information literacy education for traditional resources.

This study analyzed passenger travel patterns especially for the transfer from metro to bus by using transit smart card data. We classified three types of land use such as residential, business, and shopping area where metro stations are located. The results show that more number of transfers was observed at residential area compared to that of shopping and business area. Also, more number of transfers from metro to arterial bus was observed than that of transfers to local bus. Further, the high number of transfers to arterial bus was observed at business and shopping area. This means that the transfer to bus at metro stations varies by land use. The egress walk distance from metro station was found to be approximately 400 meters and the average walk distance of young people was found to be shorter than that of the old.
This study investigates the relationship between the difference of the importance of physical environment by use behavior and customer satisfaction based on the customers who have visited domestic fine dining restaurants and tries to develop a marketing strategy to promote sales in fine dining restaurant business suffering from the global economic hard times. A survey was conducted to examine the customers who were older than 20 years old and have visited a fine dining restaurant, 'Wood & Brick' and 'Benigni', located at Sejongro Junction in Seoul for 61 days from May 1 to June 30, 2009. SPSS 14.0 statistical package was used to process data. Frequency analysis, reliability test, ANOVA, and multiple regression were executed. The result shows that the difference of the importance of physical environment by use behavior depends on the number of visits per month and the cost per capita. On the relationship between physical environment and customer satisfaction, cleanness, space arrangement, charm, and accessibility have positive effects on customer satisfaction.
This study aims to design and implement a traffic model that can simulate the traffic behavior on the microscopic level by using the GIS. In the design of the model, the vehicle in the simulation environment recognizes the GIS road centerline data as road network data reflecting number of lanes, speed limit and so on. In addition, the behavior model was designed by dividing functions into the environmental perception model, time headway distribution model, car following model, and lane changing model. The implemented model was applied to Jahamun-road of Jongno-gu district to verify the accuracy of the model. As a result, the simulation results on the Jahamun-road had no great error compared with the actual observation data. In the aspect of usability of model, it is judged that this model will be able to effectively contribute to analysis of amount of carbon emission by traffic, evaluation of traffic flow, plans for location of urban infrastructure and so on.
The purpose of this study is figure out secondary education undergraduates' communication patterns and perceptions of use in KAKAOTALK, one of the most frequently used Social Network Service(SNS). This research was aimed at finding clues of improving behavioral affordance of the residential environment by scrutinizing change of the residents' behavior in a livingroom depending on the child's development stage. 30 double-income families with one child were the subjects of depths interview, survey, observation of this research, who were residents of 3-bedroom apartment housing in Seoul. They presented obvious different behavioral patterns according to their child's development stage. Breeding and playing behavior were prior to the others when their child was in childhood, then relaxing with TV and PC behavior were getting superior when their child was in school period. It is important that residents perceive that the numerous types of behavior may take place in a livingroom, some of which has originated in our long residential culture. And then real housing should be provided to them that has proper behavioral affordance to support all those behavior. Housings with minimum walls and rooms would make it possible. A family has its inner dynamics can live a sustainable life in that housing as a home, that lasts along their whole life.
Circulation planning for exhibition space depends on visitors, exhibition documents and exhibition space. To make visitors feel sympathy for the exhibition and meet visitors' movement and its spatial factors in the exhibition, guidelines for the planning layout of exhibition and exhibition space are needed. This research was aimed at gathering guidelines about the circulation planning for exhibition space for visitors who can acquire exhibition information in a natural way and enjoy the whole aspect of exhibition or enjoy preferential exhibition by investigating and analyzing viewing types of visitors, layout of exhibition and space unit exhibition. The result of this research was summarized as the following. 1) It needs optional viewing space large enough to be seen clearly so that all exhibition space can be seen at a glance at the main entrance of exhibition. 2) Layout of exhibition is needed for island-exhibition position and optional space preparation, when visitors pass by an article on exhibition short-cut. 3) Layout of exhibition is needed for double sided exhibition.
