  • Emerging hotspot and trendy areas are formed into alleys and blocks with the help of viral effects among social network services (SNS) users called "Golmogleo." These users search for every corner of the alleys to share and promote their own favorite places through SNS. An analysis of hot places is limited if it is only based on macroeconomic indicators such as commercial area data published by national organizations, large-scale visiting facilities, and commuter figures. Careful analyses based on consumers' actual activities are needed. This study develops a "social big data analysis methodology" using Instagram data, which is one of the most popular SNSs suitable to identify recent consumer trends. We build a spatial analysis model using Local Moran's I. Results show that our model identifies new trend zones on the basis of posting data in Instagram, which are not included in the commercial information prepared by national organizations. The proposed analysis methodology enables better identification of the latest trend areas formulated by SNS user activities. It also provides practical information for start-ups, small business owners, and alley merchants for marketing purposes. This analytical methodology can be applied to future studies on social big data analysis.

  • It have been studied many researches for time and space in film, drama and even animation. This study, however, is for investigating a new methodology of time and space study base on the structural linguistics. It can not be detected any of previous study on this method, and it is the first time to try out for researching with the structural linguistics of time and space in animation with this concept. In order to study on the time and space by applying a new method of structural linguistics, it is identify the terminology and concept of the minimum unite of time and space and than analysis with paradigmatic and syntagmatic. Consequence of this study, it can suggest a new methodology of study in the ways of structural linguistics in animation. Further study is to apply this method on character design in animation.

  • Count data aggregated into areal units such as administrative boundaries are the most important sources of information for geographic research. Despite of ongoing research on spatial cluster analysis of count data, it has received relatively little attention and besides, it is difficult to comprehend research trends as well as major outcomes and challenges. This study aims to review the research literature conducted during the last two decades, to examine methodological characteristics, and finally to discuss some issues and challenges. Methods for indentifying spatial clusters have been used in various fields including geography, criminology, and epidemiology. However, their methodological features are not only quite distinct from each other, but there are issues related to the statistical reliability. Therefore, these have to be taken into account carefully when particular methods are used, and further empirical research about methodological issues and the development of analysis tools is needed.

  • In recent years space planning for modern city has been accomplished through scientific high technique and computer supported collaborative work. Relatively human being is treated as a component of the space or whole building and according to the social structure people tend to prefer private space. The necessity of the open space as an active place is emphasized now because the interaction created between users of the space and the nature, surrounding environment can influence on improving quality of outdoor life and giving the place specific identity. In this paper three ways of analyses of components which compose the open space are studied. Especially through the process of analyses derived from differenet areas, the necessity of communication model in collaborative work is proposed.

  • This study examines the social issues between the central and local governments related with the underground space after happenings of sinkholes in Jamsil area in July, 2014. In this study, we consider the keyword network of the social network analysis as a research methodology. The social issues regarding the underground space have been dealt with through the analysis of the centrality and group density to know the attributes of the network. The results show that the government has been steadily helpful to the local governments for establishing the socialized law for the underground space. This research suggests that the laws and technologies as to the underground space issues cooperate each other in the future. It also shows that the government should enact the policies and the national plans for the development of the underground.

  • When analyzing geographical phenomena, two properties need to be considered. One is the spatial dependence structure and the other is a variation or an uncertainty inhibited in a geographic space. Two problems are encountered due to the properties. Firstly, spatial dependence structure, which is conceptualized as spatial autocorrelation, generates heterogeneous geographic landscape in a spatial process. Secondly, generic statistics, although suitable for dealing with stochastic uncertainty, tacitly ignores location information im plicit in spatial data. GIS is a versatile tool for manipulating locational information, while spatial statistics are suitable for investigating spatial uncertainty. Therefore, integrating spatial statistics to GIS is considered as a plausible strategy for appropriately understanding geographic phenomena of interest. Geographic hot-spot analysis is a key tool for identifying abnormal locations in many domains (e.g., criminology, epidemiology, etc.) and is one of the most prominent applications by utilizing the integration strategy. The article aims at reviewing spatial statistical perspective for analyzing spatial processes in the framework of GIS by carrying out empirical analysis. Illustrated is the analysis procedure of using spatial scan statistic for detecting clusters in the framework of GIS. The empirical analysis targets for identifying spatial clusters of breast cancer incidents in Erie and Niagara counties, New York.

  • Spatial distribution analysis of industrial locations plays a very important role in the establishment of relevant spatial policies and plans. The first thing to consider in this analysis is what analysis indicators and spatial units are used, because the interpretation of the analysis results may vary depending on the analysis indicators and the spatial units. Therefore, this study first examines various industrial integration indicators considering spatial autocorrelation and suggests the classification of regional types of industrial aggregation through the combination of related indicators. And then, this paper aims to empirically analyze the root industry by presenting a methodology for analyzing industrial integration by various spatial units such as individual locations, grids, and administrative districts. The results of the empirical analysis show that the grid in the spatial unit can be analyzed in more detail than the administrative unit. In addition, it is expected to overcome the limitations such as differences in interpretation that may occur due to the setting of spatial units. In the classification of regional types, the south-eastern region of Ulsan, Busan, and Changwon, and the western region of the SMA of Incheon, Hwaseong, and Ansan were analyzed as the industrial cluster type.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze library space use patterns through users' smartphone WiFi. This study is applied a method to detect WiFi signal of users' smartphone to analyze the in-library wayfinding of users. The library usage data were collected for four months in a library in Seoul, Korea. The results show that the average 37.9% of library users revisits the library the next month. Half of users stay under 7 minutes in the library. Users mainly visit the library between 2 and 3 o'clock, and few users visit the library after 5 pm on weekends. The floor moving pattern result shows that the co-visit rate between the third and fourth floor is higher than others, in that these two floors are mainly composed of book shelves. These results indicate that the method to detect the WiFi signal for spatial pattern analysis could be more effective than observation which was used in previous research. It, therefore, is expected that this method would be applied in other libraries to analyze and enhance the library space usage.
