Simgok Seowon was established to honor Jo Gwang-jo, who is a scholar and politician in the mid-Joseon period. It is located in a propitious site based on Feng Shui. Its Jusan is Mugokeumseongchae(武曲金星體) with Wonhwahyul(圓窩穴), and its Ansan is Tamrangmokseongchae(貪狼木星體). It is a Jehyang(祭享)-centered Seowon that sets a Jehyang place in Hyeolcheo. Around the Sadang(祠堂), the Four gods including Jwacheongryong(左靑龍) Woobackho(右白虎), Jujak(朱雀), and Hyeonmu(玄武) protect the Hyeolcheo(穴處) well. It is a typical central axis symmetrical spatial arrangement where everything is located centered on Sawoo(祠宇). It is a type of Jeonhakhumyo(前學後廟) that arranges the main hall at the front of buildings and places the Sadang that is a Jehyang place at the back of Sadang. To the left side of the Sadang, Yeonji(蓮池) was created by applying the principles of Cheonwonjibang(天圓地方), which serves as Yusik(遊息) area with functions to adjust microclimate and to extinguish fires. Feng Shui plays an important role when determining orientation, direction, and location of the buildings. Therefore, it could be regarded as realizing the aesthetic spirit of Cheoninhabil(天人合一) to compose the Feng Shui-oriented spatial arrangement by recognizing accurately the relationship between nature and human being depending on topography, wind, water flow, and point of the compass.

Bayesian networks have been used in studying and simulating causal inferences by using the probability function distributed over the variables consisting of inquiry space. The focus of the debates concerning Bayesian networks is the causal Markov condition that constrains the probabilistic independence between all the variables which are not in the causal relations. Cartwright, a strong critic about the Bayesian network theory, argues that the causal Markov condition cannot hold in indeterministic systems, so it cannot be a valid principle for causal inferences. The purpose of the paper is to explore whether her argument on the causal Markov condition is valid. Mainly, I shall argue that it is possible for upholders of the causal Markov condition to respond properly the criticism of Cartwright through the continuous causal model that permits the infinite sequence of causal events.

발사체 추진기관은 추진제 및 각종 고압가스류를 엔진으로 공급하는 기능, 지상에서 추진제를 발사체로 충전/배출하는 기능, 저온 산화제를 냉각하기 위한 순환 기능, 추진제 탱크를 가압하는 기능, 지상에서 온보드 밸브를 구동하는 기능, 내부 공간 및 라인 퍼지 기능 등을 수행한다. 이와 같은 기능을 수행하기 위해 발사체에는 타 시스템과는 별도로 추진기관 원격제어 시스템을 구성한다. 제어 시스템은 크게 온보드 시퀀스 및 추진제 탱크 압력 제어, 추진제 및 고압가스 충전/배출 제어, 발사체 기능 확인, 내부 기밀 확인 및 발사 직전까지의 상태 모니터링을 위해 구성한 지상측정시스템(GMS), 비행 중 추진기관 상태를 모니터링하기 위한 텔레메트리시스템(TMS)으로 분류한다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 발사체 추진기관 운용 및 제어 개념을 제어 기능, 시스템 구성, 작동 원리의 단계로 사례와 함께 제시하였다.

The Korean academics of classical learning, Seowon which from the middle of Joseon Dynasty was complexly reflected in "the illustration of Taiji(太極圖說)" Five-Elements school(陰陽五行說), "Zhou Yi(周易)" and a theory on spherical heaven and square ground(天圓地方) which based on orientalism. Also the theory of Xiangshu Xue(象數學) was a significant factor to decide the size(number of facade module) of Seowon architecture. So, in this study, how the oriental thought was adopted and reflected in existing 21 Seowon in South Korea. The size of Seowon architecture was adopted a theory of combination with heaven, earth and human(天地人三合論) that based on the theory of Xiangshu Xue on "the illustration of Taiji" and "Zhou Yi". "Zhou Yi" was the central thought of Confucian culture in Joseon Dynasty, with which Seowon space was divided into two, ancestral rites space and lecture space. It coincides with balance of yin(陰) and yang(陽), Five-Elements(五行) and four seasons(四季節). In lecture space, lecture hall is relevant with the water(水) and winter, and front tower structure or outer three-door is the fire(火) and summer. Also, central garden means the soil(土) and center. Thus, the size and spatial composition was planned with the philosophy, "the illustration of Taiji", Five-Elements school and a theory on spherical heaven and square ground. Yin and yang has an idea of the heaven and earth, and Five-Elements has an idea of direction and season with which spatial composition of Seowon could be set. And the numeral meaning on the theory of Xiangshu Xue established an ideal background for spatial composition of Seowon architecture.

대체에너지 기관으로서 요구되는 조건을 갖춘 스터링엔진의 이해를 돕기 위하여 기본원리, 개 발현황, 개발상 문제점 등의 기본사항을 소개하였다. 내연기관과는 달리 외연기관인 스터링엔 진은 작동유체가 밀폐공간 내에서 고. 저온 양 영역을 이동하면서 압력차를 발생시켜 일을 형성 하는 과정을 밟기 때문에 고온. 고압일수록 높은 출력이 예상되며, 전열성능과 작동저항면에서 수소나 헬륨과 같은 저분자량의 가스가 작동체로 채택되기 때문에 작동유체의 누기(leakage) 및 크랑크실의 냉각 윤활유의 작동공간으로의 누유 등은 스터링엔진의 출력 저하에 가장 큰 요인 으로 작용한다. 마찰 등 기계적 손실의 저감기술, 속도제어기술, 용도에 따른 엔진 형식 설계 기술, 구성부품 성능향상을 위한 요소기술 등의 개발이 중요한 과제가 되고 있으며, 이상 소개한 내용이 관심있는 많은 분들의 스터링엔진 연구나 이해에 도움이 될 수 있기를 바란다.

This paper reviews the topic of GIS, the academic setting of GIS, GIS model curricula and the possibility GIS education in Korea. The topics which might be included in a science of geographic information consist of data collection and measurement, data capture, spatial statistics, data modeling and theories of spatial data, data structures, algorithms and processes, display, analytical tools, institutional, managerial and ethical issues. The problems in teaching a course on GIS in higher education are reviewed. Because of their technological, integrative, and rapidly changing nature, GIS pose major challenges to their education system which it is ill equipped to meet. In higher education a number of initiatives have been taken to provide education about and training with, GIS. The possible GIS curricula are suggested. These curricula are divided into 3 major sections, relating GIS context, technical issues and application issues. The prospects of GIS appears lo depend largely upon the future cooperation of academia, government, and industry

The space of IID([ndependently, Identically Distributed) textures was built with axes of mean luminance and contrast, and studied on what kind of mechanisms were required to mediate texture segregation in this space. The conjecture was tested that one of these mechanisms is sensitive to the differences between the means of textures to be discriminated, whereas the other is sensitive to the differences between variances. The probability of discrimination was measured for various pairs of textures in the lID space The data were well fit by a model in which discrimination depends on two mechanisms whose responses are combined by probability summation. The conjecture was rejected that two mechanisms respectively tuned to mean and variance of texture function in segregation. Discrimination within space is mediated by 2 independent channels however: the 2 independent channels are not exactly tuned to texture mean and variance. One m mechanism was primarily sensitive to texture mean, whereas the other was sensitive to b both texture mean and variance.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the three korean traditional gardens in France and Japan were representing the tradition by comparing and reviewing them. The concerns for analysing the korean garden made in foreign counties were focused on issue of a representation. Representing a Korean garden into three foreign parks depends on the manner of a representation. their objects and media. We found the characteristics through analysing the korean gardens that traditional elements such as a traditional pavilion, fence, madang, chosan and hwagye were generally chosen as essential elements for representing the korean tradition.

This study aims to analyze the Spatial Imagery(Yijing) of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge(Xiaoxiangguan) which is from Chinese Qing dynasty novel "Dream of Red Mansions". The conclusions are as follows. First, the fantasy garden what is described in the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" can be recreated in reality. Second, through the analysis of the spatial imagery, the plants of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge contains a lot of meaning, and mainly through the plants to express meaning. Third, the main garden concept of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge is "Inspired by Nature", the representative space constitution principle is "the art of circuitous" and "view borrowing". Fourth, the concept of traditional garden in the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" and the landscape architecture theory book "Yuan Ye(Art of garden building)" is essentially in agreement. The generation process of garden spatial imagery was showed in this study, and on the basis of this, the garden spatial imagery of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge was analyzed. It is provided the useful information for the future research, and the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" as a important book was determined in the research of traditional garden.

Interior design is depend on combination way of between invisible meaning and visible form, then it has a several meaning by that. The meaning of interior space is a invisible concept which is shown by a form and it is mainly recognized by a image. The purpose of this study is to explore that characters of image in communication process, typical aspect and structural aspect have been shown in interior design. On this study, I try to study space analysis about commercial space to explore character of spatial image through theoretical approach. In a result, the image of interior space is made by deep representation as a designer's basic concept and is delivered by conversion of various codes. Therefore, the image of interior space is not a additional concept which is made by natural factor of space, it is a design concept which must be dealt with space planning.
