This study focuses on the analysis of the Cooperative system of Japanese local libraries (Do-do-bu-ken prefecture) in Japan, which perform similar functions along a similar hierarchy with the local representative libraries in South Korea. I would like to use this analysis as material for my report. For the study, I visited eight distinguished and advanced Japanese local libraries (Do-do-bu-ken prefecture) that had been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to analyze the current situation of the Cooperative system and service. I conducted space planning through plan analysis by selecting five out of the eight libraries. As a result, it was shown that the Japanese local libraries (Do-do-bu-ken prefecture) accurately recognize the roles and functions as a regional central library of Japan and conduct Cooperative system not only with the National Diet Library of Japan but also with regional central libraries in the whole country. In terms of the space planning, the ratio of the space occupied by the task management part of the office area and the support area showed the highest space planning ratio according to role for the library.

This study intends to analyze the characteristics of imageability elements of the tourism space using the spatial cognitive mapping method. For this purpose, this study selects Nami Island as a study site and collects spatial cognitive maps or sketches of the study area focused on tourists in their 20s and 30s after they visit the site. The results of frequency analysis on imageability elements of Nami Island show that paths, landmarks, and edges are more frequently cognized to tourists in their 20s and 30s than districts and nodes. This study determines a new imageability element of the tourism space, "moving objects," such as or bikes or animals. Tourism planners or landscape designers can consider these useful imageability elements as important planning factors in order to improve and clarify the images of tourism spaces.

Because hotels contain the cultural and artistic information of an era and plays a role as an iconic building to experience the unique regional culture, they are more than just a building. In recent years, as Jeju is emerging as a popular tourist city, a multi-functional and systematic plan for hotels is needed. Therefore, this study provides basic design data for hotel construction in the future by analyzing the public space of the luxury tourist hotels on Seogwipo-si. The public space of hotels, divided into service, food and beverage, banquet, leisure and convenience space, are categorized in terms of the cross combination type, entrance space form, plan type, unit space form to understand their relativity in the public space of hotels. This study reviewed the hotel construction based on the reference and literature, and, visited the sites to determine the current general status of hotels and then analyzed the architectural planning factors and spatial composition types.

A street, as a linear factor constituting the city, is an axis of urban development. The substantial function of the street is the traffic space for the passage but now it plays the important role of the place of community where contains various activities such as meeting between people and people, rest, entertainment etc. A street is basically the 3 dimensional space consisted of the sidewalk, roadway and the roadside structures surrounding the street. In this case, the roadside structures are the physical composition factors for the street space and the facade of the roadside structures acts as important variables to form the image of street space. Thus, this study is to provide the basic data to be applied in the future urban street landscape plan by extracting the superior factors in visual and perceptional aspects which affect the image of street view from the shape composition factors which constitute the facade of the roadside structures, and by searching and analyzing the satisfaction degree and preference of each factors.

In this study, we the characteristics of the spatial layout have been analyzed focusing on the case of compulsory schools, which are the forms of elementary and middle integrated schools in Japan. Thus, according to the development stage of the elementary·middle students, we derived the characteristics of the space structure and layout of the classrooms of each class. and derived spatial arrangement of private and shared space of elementary and middle integrated schools. In addition, we analyzed the characteristics of subject classroom collaboration by beginner, intermediate and advanced level, derived a desirable subject classroom placement plan, and suggested the basic direction of Korean elementary and middle integrated schools focusing on the direction of space layout composition.

The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of the floor plans of luxurious row-houses. The examined objects were 135 floor plans with the individual exclusive space of 50 pyung or more which collected from the solicitations for sale or the magazines of architecture, housing, or interiors. The major findings were summarized as follows: First, it is revealed that as the floor size become bigger, the appropriate additional spaces such as second family room, lounge hobbyroom and Atelier are formed instead of increasing room size. Second, it is revealed that the L- DK type was the most common in LDK system. Third, it is revealed that the master's zone composed generalized layout of 4 sections such as bedroom, sittingroom, bathroom, dressingroom. Fourth, it is revealed that the multifunctional room exist as a individual space located next to the kitchen. It used to be a post of rear balcony.

이 글은 최근 인지언어학에서 기본적인 핵심이론 중의 하나로 자리잡고 있는 '정신공간 이론'(mental space theory)에 대한 이론적인 소개와 함께 의미구성에 있어서 중요한 개념의 하나인 '사상'(mappings)의 문제를 다루고자 한다. 1994년 이후 Fauconnier와 Fauconnier & Turner 등을 중심으로 진행되어 오고 있는 정신공간 이론에서는, 언어의 의미를 궁극적으로 인지적 공간들 사이의 상호관계가 언어로 '투사'(projection)된 것으로 간주한다. 그리고 기존의 근원영역과 목표영역 사이의 직접적이고 체계적인 사상, 이른바 '두 영역 모델'의 대안으로 '다공간 모델'을 제시하고 있다. 다공간 모델 속에는 '포괄공간'(generic space)과 '혼합공간'(blending space)이 설정되는데, 그 중에서 포괄공간은 근원공간과 목표공간의 모든 개념이나 추상적인 도식 등이 반영되어 있는 반면, 혼합공간은 실제의 다양한 개념적 혼합의 결과로 나타나며, 입력된 공간에서 나타나는 상응되는 부분들 사이의 연결을 활용하고 발전시키기 때문에 그 자체가 또 다른 혼합공간의 입력공간에서 일어나는 개념적 사상의 양상은 매우 다양할 뿐만 아니라 의미구성에 있어서도 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 글에서는 합성어와 같은 어휘적 측면은 물론, 일상의 문장 표현을 통해 나타나는 개념적 사상의 다양한 양상을 고찰하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study Is to identify factors for library space programs through user needs assessments in order to apply a library construction. Research method used was a questionnaire and subjects were residents and library users lived in Yongin where a new library was constructing. The results show that library use behavior, age, and user companions are identified as factors to influence to both functional space ratio and functional space arrangement. Heading in libraries is major activity and many subjects went to library with family so that family space is needed. Space for variable ages, also, is needed because of different needs based upon ages.

지리정보시스템에 대한 응용분야가 확대되면서 지리정보시스템의 기반이 되는 데이터베이스의 성능에 대한 정확한 평가가 중요하게 인식된다. 이때 지리정보시스템의 기반이 되는 데이터베이스는 일반적인 데이터베이스와는 달리 공간 질의와 비공간 질의가 동시에 처리될 수 있어야 하므로 이를 위한 효율적인 색인 구성이 요구되며 이에 대한 성능의 명가가 특별히 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 주기억 데이터베이스 기반의 지리정보시스템에 적합하도록 비공간 색인과 공간 색인을 별도로 두는 이중 색인 구성을 제안하고 실제 색인이 지리정보시스템에 적용되었을 때 그에 이 시스템에 대한 성능을 평가하였다. 실험을 통친 색인에 따른 데이터베이스의 성능비교도 함께 측정하였다. 지리정보시스템을 위한 주기억 데이터베이스에 T-tree와 MR-tree가 비공간 및 공간색인을 위해 적용되었을 때 데이터가 증가하여도 질의에 대한 속도가 거의 변화가 없는 우수한 성능을 보여주는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

지금까지 웹 환경하에서의 3차원 환경은 주로 가상의 3차원 모델을 구성하고 모델 오브젝트들의 좌표를 갱신시켜 주거나 가상 공간내에 현장의 영상의 일부를 가상공간에 2차원으로 표시하는 방법으로 표현을 하고 있어서 실제로 현장의 환경은 수시로 변화되는 장면을 가상 공간에 3차원 형태로 표현하지는 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 접속자가 웹상으로 접근하여 VRML로 구성한 3차원 가상의 공간에 실시간으로 texture를 메핑하여 보다 실제감을 느낄수 있는 원력 혼합 현실 공간 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 가상의 쇼핑 공간에 적용될 경우 접속자가 보다 실제적인 상품에 대한 정보를 얻으면서 구매할 수 있는 진보된 가상 쇼핑 환경을 구성할 수 있다.
