복합다양체 자료구조를 갖는 형상모델러에서 오일러 작업자의 구현

  • 컴퓨터를 이용한 제품의 설계시 개념설계부터 최종설계에 이르는 동안 설계모델은 많은 수정을 요하게 된다. 이 과정에서 개념설계 단계부터 솔리드 모델을 채용하는 것은 불편하므로, 와이어프레임 모델이나 곡면 모델을 이용하여 설계를 진행하다가, 최종설계 단계에서 솔리드 모델로 전환하는 것이 바람직하다. 이 경우 이 3가지 모델을 모두 지원하는 모델러가 요구되는데 '복합다양체'를 지원하는 모델러가 이 요건을 만족시킨다. 또한 경계표현(B-rep)방식으로 모델링시 불리안 작업자를 많이 이용하는데, 모델링 도중에 불리한 작업으로 생성된 모델의 Undo작업은 용이하지 않은 일이다. 따라서 불리안 작업으로 생성된 모델의 수정작업을 위한 알고리즘이 요구된다, 일한 수정작업을 위해선 복합다양체를 지원하는 자료구조가 필요하다. 본 논문에선 이러한 복합다양체 자료구조를 갖는 형상모델러의 기본적 자료구조와 기본물체 모델링시 오일러 작업자를 구현하였다.

A Development of Pre and Post Processor for Design of Surface System of Free Form Building (비정형 건축물의 외피시스템 설계를 위한 전·후처리 모듈 개발)

  • Recently, free-form buildings have been designed with complex shapes due to digitization of the construction industry. Exterior and interior components of free-form buildings have free cross sections and curved shapes. Therefore, structural members with curvature are frequently seen. In the modeling and stability evaluation of these structures, commercial programs using classical finite element analysis are not able to perform rapid shape modeling, resulting in a decrease in productivity. Therefore, in this study, pre- and post-processing modules were developed using a prior study to rapidly model the surface of a free-form building and to automatically generate frame structures that make up the cladding. The developed modules use a subdivision algorithm with spline curves. This algorithm is used to automatically generate analytical elements from the configuration information of NURBS curves. In addition, the deformation after analysis can be viewed more realistically. The modules can quickly construct complex curved surfaces. An analysis model of the frame structure was also automatically generated. Therefore, the modules could contribute to the productivity improvement of free-form building design.

  • 모형 설계와 도형의 생성은 점, 곡선, 기울기과 같은 특정 속성들의 정보로 만들어 진다. 도형을 생성할 때 곡면 조각, 움직이는 곡선과 점, 일반적인 곡선, 연속 혹은 닫힌 곡선, 빠른 계산들은 중요하게 생각 되는 모델링 개념이다. 이 논문에서는 Attribute Based $Modeling^{TM}(A-B\;Modeling^{TM})$ surface을 사용하여 디자인을 디자인할 때 필요한 Multi-sided patch의 설계와 인터페이스를 구현하고자 한다.

Surface Modeling and 5-axis NC machining of Automobile Tire Model (자동차 타이어 모델의 곡면 모델링 및 5축 NC 가공)

  • Recently, the tire mold of a passenger car is made almost via aluminum casting, and it is necessary to prepare a master model of the tire for the casting. Because of the geometrical feature of tire, as well known, the master model must be machined by a 5-axis NC machine. The paper proposes a procedure to model and machine the master model. The approach includes (a) transformation of 2D drawing of tire into 3D geometry, (b) modeling surfaces of tire, and (c) inverse kinematics of a 5-axis NC machine. An implementation of the proposed procedure is also presented.

  • This research presents modeling of a functional surface which is a constructed free-formed surface. The modeling introduced in this paper adopts polynomial regression that is utilizing approximating technique. The measured data are obtained from measuring with Coordinate Measuring Machine. This paper introduces efficient methods of Reverse Engineering using Polynomial Regression.

  • The use of airborne LiDAR data obtained by airborne laser scanners has increased in the field of spatial information such as building modeling. LiDAR data consist of irregularly distributed 3D coordinates and lack visual and semantic information. Therefore, LiDAR data processing is complicate. This study suggested a method of LiDAR data segmentation using roof surface patches from aerial images. Each segmented patch was modeled by analyzing geometric characteristics of the LiDAR data. The optimal functions could be determined with segmented data that fits various shapes of the roof surfaces as flat and slanted planes, dome and arch types. However, satisfiable segmentation results were not obtained occasionally due to shadow and tonal variation on the images. Therefore, methods to remove unnecessary edges result in incorrect segmentation are required.

  • In case of the 3D Sketch System for spatial modeling, The use of 3D input devices in 3D environment is the best method to express designer's intention. However, the designer's 3D drawing skill is not accurate. 80, we use the multiple strokes used generally by 2D sketch. Multiple strokes make the designer recognize model's current drawing features and what he change We use the cubic-based drawing method to calculate many surfaces in real time. We arrange the relations of cubes for composing surfaces and multi strokes. We implement the sketch system taking cubic modeling and multiple strokes technique.

Correction Method for Measurement Failure Pixels in Depth Picture using Surface Modeling (표면 모델링을 통한 깊이 영상 내 측정 실패 화소 보정 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a correcting method of depth pixels which are failed to measure since temporary camera error. A block is modeled to plane and sphere surfaces through measured depth pixels in the block. Depth values in the block are estimated through each modeled surface and a error for the modeled surface is calculated by comparing the original and estimated pixels, then the surface which has the least error is selected. The pixels which are failed to measure are corrected by estimating depth values through selected surface. Simulation results show that the proposed method increases the correction accuracy by an average of 20% compared with the correction method of $5{\times}5$ median method.

  • Developed in this research is a surface modeling kernel for various CAD/CAM applications. Its internal surface representations are rational parametric polynomials, which are generalizations of nonrational Bezier, Ferguson, Coons and NURBS surface, and are very fast in evaluation. The kernel is designed under the OOP concepts and coded in C++ on PCs. The present implementation of the kernel supports surface construction methods, such as point data interpolation, skinning, sweeping and blending. It also has NURBS conversion routines and offers the IGES and ZES format for geometric information exchange. It includes some geometric processing routines, such as surface/surface intersection, curve/surface intersection, curve projection and so forth. We are continuing to work with the kernel and eventually develop a B-Rep based solid modeler.

  • 사용자가 컴퓨터와 자연스럽고 인간적으로 대화할 수 있고, 사람의 요구에 지능적인 해답을 능동적으로 제시할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스 에이전트가 활발히 연구되고 있다. 음성, 펜, 제스쳐인식 등을 비롯한 다양한 방법을 통하여 사람의 의사전달방식을 컴퓨터의 입력수단으로 구현하여 사용자 편의성을 도모하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 블랙박스로 하고, 표면적으로 지능형 3차원 그래픽 얼굴 에이전트와 사용자가 의사소통을 하는 사용자 인터페이스를 대상으로 하였다. 컴퓨터가 단순문제 해결을 위한 도구에서 많은 정보를 다양한 매체를 통해 제공하는 보조자의 역할을 수행하게 되었기 때문에 위의 방법은 보다 적극적인 방법이라 할 수 있다. 이를 위한 기반 기술로써 국어를 발음하는 얼굴 애니메이션을 연구하였다. 발음을 표현하기 위한 데이터로써 디지털 카메라를 사용하여 입술 운동의 특징점의 위치를 조사하였고, 모델링 시스템을 개발하여 데이터를 입력하였다. 적은 데이터로도 복잡한 자유곡면을 표현할 수 있는 B-Spline곡면을 기본데이터로 사용하였기 때문에 애니메이션을 위한 데이터의 양 또한 줄일 수 있었다. 그리고 국어음소의 발음시간 수열에 대한 입술모양의 변화를 조사하여 발음소리와 입술 움직임을 동기화 시킨 발음 애니메이션을 구현하였다.
