Dynamic Behaviors of the Curved Steel Tunnel Lining due to Wind Loads by Passing Vehicles (통과차량으로 인한 풍하중에 대한 곡선 강재 터널라이닝의 동적 거동 분석)

  • Dynamic behaviors of the tunnel linings of curved tunnels with various curvatures are investigated to examine the effect of wind loads due to passing vehicles. In the case without backfill, the responses of the tunnel lining should be considered to examine the clearance of the lining. A steel tunnel lining is selected to see the influence of the wind load upon the tunnel lining more clearly. The wind pressure upon the lining is simplified into the pressure and suction while the vehicle passing the loading positions. As the radius of curvature decreases, the response decreases, showing that the strength against the deformation is found to increase since the asymmetry of the deformation shape is reduced. It is found that the responses increase as the passing vehicle speed increases.

A Study on the Problem Analysis and Quality Improvement in Fabricating Free-Form Buildings Facade Panels through Mock-up Panels Production (Mock-up 부재제작을 통한 비정형 건축 외장부재의 제작 문제점 분석 및 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The most critical issue in free-form buildings is how to construct the free-formed exterior facade panels. Their geometric complexity delivers many cons and problems in fabricating and constructing their shapes. To construct a free-form building, first of all, its skin has to be chopped into small pieces, which is called panelization. After panelization, the panels go through an optimization process to construct them economically. The panel's geometries are modified or regenerated through this optimization process. In this study, the panel optimization process of free-form buildings are performed through a case study. The panel shapes of the case study are modeled with Digital Project. To test the constructability of the various panels, 8 mock-up panels are made and laser scanning technology is applied to measure the preciseness of the panels manufactured in comparison with their original design.

Hand Feature Extraction Algorithm Using Curvature Analysis For Recognition of Various Hand Gestures (다양한 손 제스처 인식을 위한 곡률 분석 기반의 손 특징 추출 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can recognize not only the number of stretched fingers but also determination of attached fingers for extracting features required for hand gesture recognition. The proposed algorithm detects the hand area in the input image by the skin color range filter based on a color model and labeling, and then recognizes various hand gestures by extracting the number of stretched fingers and determination of attached fingers using curvature information extracted from outlines and feature points. Experiment results show that the recognition rate and the frame rate are similar to those of the conventional algorithm, but the number of gesture cases that can be defined by the extracted characteristics is about four times higher than the conventional algorithm, so that the proposed algorithm can recognize more various gestures.

  • This research is a park of a research program to develope a new design method for reinforced concrete bridge columns under axial load and cyclic lateral load. The objectives of this paper are to investigate the relationship between curvature ductility and displacement ductility and to propose a correlation equation for designing of reinforced concrete bridge columns under axial load and cyclic lateral load. Computer program NARCC was used for parametric study, which was proved to provide good and conservative analytical result especially for deformation capacity and ductility factor compared with test result. A total of 7,200 spirally reinforced concrete columns were selected considering the main variables such as section diameter, aspect ratio, concrete strength, yielding strength of longitudinal and confinement steel, longitudinal steel ratio, axial load ratio, and confinement steel ratio. A new equation between curvature ductility factor displacement ductility factor with the aspect ratio was proposed by investigation of 21,600 data produced from the selected column models by applying 3 different definitions of yield displacement.

  • An efficient method was developed to determine the ultimate strength for the segment subjected to cross-sectional distortion. Cumulative data based on the finite element analysis were used to perform the multi-regression analysis. A moment-thrust-curvature relationship of short segment was obtained with mathematical forms in the nonlinear range. The extensive parametric study was performed to generate the ultimate strength for the various segments. The result was compared with the experimental result which was not included in the database. The proposed method gives an essential tool for the nonlinear analysis of beam-column.

  • 본 논문에서는 이중곡률을 갖은 막구조물의 동적 불안정 현상을 연구하였다. 풍하중을 받는 막구조물의 지배방정식을 정식화할 경우 가장 중요한 것은 막 표면의 공기 압력을 합리적으로 산정하는 것이다. 베르누이 윈리에 의하여 유체 압력은 속도 퍼텐셜과 관계를 가지며 얇은 날개 원리에 의해 막 표면 공기의 움직임을 일련의 와류로 간주하고 속도 퍼텐셜을 구할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 가장 많이 쓰이는 3 절점 삼각형 막요소를 이용하여 가중 잔여치 갤러킨법을 적용한 안정 평가의 판별식을 유도하였다. 임계 풍속에 대한 초기인장력, 풍방향과 곡률의 영향도 분석하였다.

  • 1400cc급 발전용 엔진 트로틀 바디의 최적화 및 성능 향상을 위하여 유동해석을 수행하였다. 베르누이 정리를 기본으로, 성능을 발휘하는 주요 설계인자인 트로틀 바디 내부의 트로틀 밸브 각도 및 흡기부 곡률 등을 설계 변수로 유동해석을 수행하였다. 벤튜리관 흡입부의 곡률을 증가시켜 트로틀 바디에서 소모되는 흡기저항을 줄였다. 감소된 흡기저항은 펌핑로스를 저감하여 연비향상에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 결과적으로 해석결과 분석을 통하여 최적화된 모델을 제시하였다.

Experimental Analysis of the Damper of a Loudspeaker (스피커 댐퍼의 실험적 분석)

  • A decision of the modulus of elasticity is made by using the degree of bending strength of materials for loudspeaker damper and the radius of corrugation lines and the radius of curvature of each corrugation as a geometrical element. And it is compared with experimental measurements. As a result. the elasticity of damper is proportional to the degree of bending strength and inversely proportional to the radius of corrugation lines and inversely proportional to the square of the radius of curvature. We made a small loudspeaker using a modified damper which take the form of inner small curvature and outer large curvature of each corrugation. This loudspeaker have the increased sensitivity in high frequency and also in low frequency region.

  • In case of calculation of an immediate deflection according to EC2, a curvature and average curvature are calculated by reflecting tension stiffening effect. In this study, tension stiffening effects according to MC90 and EC2 were considered, and an immediate deflection was calculated. And also, it was compared to results in KCI provision and experimental data. In results, it has difference around 8~15% with respect to tension stiffening effect, but all of them predict well for the load-deflection behavior after yielding state.

  • Room Air Conditioner(이하 RAC) 실내기는 열교환기, Cross Flow Fan(이하 CFF), 곡률, Stabilizer(이하 STB) 등 여러 설계인자가 소음, 풍량 및 압력 등에 상호 복합적으로 연성(Coupled)되어 있어 각 인자가 성능에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 밝혀 내기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 RAC 실내기의 고성능 및 저소음화를 실현하기 위해서는 실내기를 구성하는 각 인자간의 상호 관련성 및 각 인자가 소음.성능 등에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 설계인자중 소음 및 풍량에 민감한 영향을 주는 STB 위치 및 형상 등에 관하여 자세히 다루고자 한다. STB위치의 적절한 범위를 설정하기 위해 Laser Doppler Velicitimeter(이하 LDV)를 이용하여 곡률별 실내기 내부의 유속분포 및 속도 벡터를 측정하였고, CFF내부 Vortex의 정확한 위치를 찾아냈다. 또한 실내기 저소음화를 위한 소음원 규명 측면에서 실내기 내부의 난류도와 관련하여 속도 Fluctuation을 정의하고, 실험을 통해 구하였다.
