The flexural behavior of the UHPFRC rectangular beam which has 100 MPa, 140 MPa compressive strength were compared with that of the typical RPC rectangular beam which has same geometrical shape, prestressd force and 160 MPa compressive strength. UHPFRC beam was not reinforced at all and the variable of test is fraction of steel fiber, compressive strength of concrete, method of prestressing and ratio of prestressing bar. The behavior of UHPFRC beam was analysed by relationship of moment - curvature and load - deflection. Simple modeling of stress-strain of UHPFRC was proposed. Based on the proposed constituted, the flexural moment-curvature relationship was calculated and compared with experimental data on prestressed UHPFRC beams. Good agreement between calculated strengths and experimental data is obtained.
This paper is about proposal of a calculation method and development of an analytical program for predicting crack width and deflection in structural concrete members. The proposed method numerically calculate stresses in steel rebar using a parabola-rectangle stress-strain curve and a modified tension stiffening factor considering the effect of the cover thickness. Based on the study results, a calculation method to predict crack width and deflection in reinforced concrete flexural members is proposed utilizing effective tension area and idealized tension chord as well as effective moment-curvature relationship considering tension stiffening effect. The calculation method was applied to the test specimens available in literatures. The study results showed that the crack width and deflections predicted by the proposed method were closed to the experimentally measured data compared the current design code provisions.

Dynamic behaviors of the tunnel linings of curved tunnels with various curvatures are investigated to examine the effect of wind loads due to passing vehicles. In the case without backfill, the responses of the tunnel lining should be considered to examine the clearance of the lining. A steel tunnel lining is selected to see the influence of the wind load upon the tunnel lining more clearly. The wind pressure upon the lining is simplified into the pressure and suction while the vehicle passing the loading positions. As the radius of curvature decreases, the response decreases, showing that the strength against the deformation is found to increase since the asymmetry of the deformation shape is reduced. It is found that the responses increase as the passing vehicle speed increases.
For performance-based design using nonlinear static analysis, it is required to predict the inelastic behavior of structural members accurately. In the present study, a nonlinear numerical analysis was peformed to develop the method describing the moment-curvature relationship of structural wall with boundary confinement. Through the numerical analysis, variations of behavioral characteristics and failure mechanism with the arrangement of vertical reinforcement and the length of boundary confinement were studied. According to the analysis, the maximum moment-carrying capacity of structural walls with adequately confined boundary elements is developed at the moment the unconfined concrete reaches the ultimate compressive strain. Walls with flexural re-bars concentrated on the boundaries fails in a brittle manner. As vortical re-bars in the web increases, the brittle failure is prevented and a ductile failure occurs. Based on the findings, moment-curvature curves for walls with a variety of re-bar arrangement were developed. According to the proposed relationships, deformability of the structural walls wth boundary confinement increases as the compressive strength of the confined concrete increases compared to the applied compressive force.

Through the 1982 Urahawa-ohi and the 1995 Kobe earthquakes, a number of bridge columns were observed to develop a flexural-shear failure due to the bond slip as a consequence of premature termination of the column longitudinal reinforcement. Because the seismic behavior of RC bridge piers is largely dependent on the performance of the plastic hinge legion of RC bridge piers, it is desirable that the seismic capacity of RC bridge pier is to evaluate as a curvature ductility. The provision for the lap splice of longitudinal steel was not specified in KHBDS(Korea Highway Bridge Design Specification) before the implementation of 1992 seismic design code, but the lap splice of not more than 50%, longitudinal reinforcement was newly allowed in the 2005 version of the KHBDS. The objective of this research is to investigate the distribution and ductility of the curvature of RC bridge column with the lap splice of longitudinal reinforcement in the plastic hinge legion. Six (6) specimens were made in 600 mm diameter with an aspect ratio of 2.5 or 3.5. These piers were cyclically subjected to the quasi-static loads with the uniform axial load of $P=0.1f_{ck}A_g$. According to the slip failure of longitudinal steels of the lap spliced specimen by cyclic loads, the curvatures of the lower and upper parts of the lap spliced region were bigger and smaller than the corresponding paris of the specimen without a lap splice, respectively. Therefore, the damage of the lap spliced test column was concentrated almost on the lower part of the lap spliced region, that appeared io be failed in flexure.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to improve the irregularity of the stress-strain curve and to ensure accuracy when calculating the damping effect by preventing members from moving in the off-plane direction due to eccentricity when loads are applied. Method: The specifications of the steel strips used in this study are the same, but the curvature of the strips to constitute each damper is different. Each steel strip with different curvature was arranged in an triangle, three dampers with different curvature were made, and repeated load tests were conducted, and the amount of energy dissipation was calculated to measure the performance of the damper. Result: The amount of energy dissipation significantly decreases compared to the case where there is no initial curvature, and the change in the test energy dissipation amount according to the size of the curvature is not large, and the presence or absence of the hyperbolic rate is considered an important variable. Conclusion: The period is about 78.7% longer from T=0.3 to T=0.536sec, and the response spectrum acceleration is reduced from Sa=0.54g to Sa=0.229g, so the damping effect of the damper is sufficient.

In order to manufacture a doubly curved sheet metal effectively, a flexible incremental roll forming process has been developed by adopting the advantages of the incremental forming process and the roll forming process by combining inherent flexibility of the incremental forming process and continuous deformation of the roll forming process. The forming method has been further enhanced to form general quadrilateral blanks (including a square, a rectangle, a symmetrical trapezoid and an asymmetrical trapezoid, etc.) into doubly curved shapes by controlling the forming paths developed by various experiments.
A decision of the modulus of elasticity is made by using the degree of bending strength of materials for loudspeaker damper and the radius of corrugation lines and the radius of curvature of each corrugation as a geometrical element. And it is compared with experimental measurements. As a result. the elasticity of damper is proportional to the degree of bending strength and inversely proportional to the radius of corrugation lines and inversely proportional to the square of the radius of curvature. We made a small loudspeaker using a modified damper which take the form of inner small curvature and outer large curvature of each corrugation. This loudspeaker have the increased sensitivity in high frequency and also in low frequency region.

During stereolithography processes, the shape errors such as curl distortion and distortion of side face are generated due to the shrinkage of liquid resins. In this study, the effects of dimension of part and structure of supports on the shape error are examined. Cubic specimens which have different thicknesses are manufactured and their deformations are measured with CMM. Thicker part generates smaller curl distortion of top face and larger of bottom face. Also thicker part generates larger distortion of side face until part thickness increases to about 20mm. Larger stiffness of supports which is obtained by shorter spacing of the supports and line type contact instead of point type contact generates smaller shape error of the part.

A flexible incremental roll forming process has been developed by adopting the advantages of the incremental forming process and the roll forming process: i.e., inherent flexibility of the incremental forming process and continuous bending deformation of the roll forming process. It has an adjustable roll set as a forming tool composed of one upper center roll and two pairs of lower support rolls, which plays a key role during forming process. Through the experiments based on the various combinations of process parameters, it is shown that the incremental roll forming process is so effective as to manufacture various doubly curved sheet metals including concave-convex combination shapes in which there exists a line of inflection. The proposed relationship of the experimental parameters and the radius of curvature of the formed sheet boundary is found to be useful in prediction and control of the final shape.
